1, More post election sinus clearing
(I think thats what the hipsters call a “mic drop”)
2. And even more.
(Despite hours and hours on the phone suffering massive abuse at the hands of Microsoft ‘go ahead and call your lawyers MS I also record my business calls’, each day Donald Trumps words and actions bring more peace to the heart of the classical liberal.)
3. Guest post by NorseRadish. A regular and witty commenter at Vlad. I haven’t read it yet myself, but if Xanthippa’s blog posted it, its good enough for Vlad.
4. ‘Sharia police’ are not illegal, rules German court
The ultra-conservative Muslim group around German Salafist convert Sven Lau sparked public outrage with their vigilante patrols in the western city of Wuppertal in 2014, but prosecutors have struggled to build a case against them.
The city’s district court ruled that the seven accused members of the group did not breach a ban on political uniforms when they approached people while wearing orange vests bearing the words “Sharia Police”.
Judges said there could only be a violation of the law – originally aimed against street movements such as the early Nazi party – if the uniforms were “suggestively militant or intimidating”, a court spokesman said.
(Its a nice punchy fast five today)
6. Asylum seeker crime spikes in Austria, official statistics show.
There has been a steep jump in the number of criminal incidents involving asylum seekers over the past few years, according to preliminary data from the Austrian interior ministry.
The figures vary by nationality. According to the statistics, released by the Federal Ministry of the Interior after a request from Rupert Doppler of the right-wing FPO party, Syrians are relatively unlikely to come into contact with law enforcement, while Afghans, Nigerians and Moroccans are far more likely.
(Is it possible that the jump in crime could conceivably be connected to increased muslim immigration levels? More importantly, would it be legal to compile those numbers and publish them if there is a positive correlation?)
Thank you NorseRadish, M., Wrath of Khan, Kathy, Xanthippa, and a host of others who I don’t know who they are as my email client currently only says: “WordPress” instead of saying who its from. Hence the Nightmare on email Street which defines my day.

For those who are entirely unable to withstand the excruciating suspense (please don’t all speak up at once): a Guest post by NorseRadish:
Election Reflections
—Notes from NorseRadish—
Or: How the Democratic Party Machine Elected Trump
Prologue:
Over eight years ago, few people were willing to accept my (seemingly counter-intuitive) insistence that the most vigorous campaigners for Obama’s 2008 election as this nation’s President were Bush 2.0 and John McCain.
From the outset of that year’s presidential election cycle, Bush’s abject failure to sense (much less avoid) conflicts of interest—which he was unable to identify, even when they bit him on the neck—thoroughly neutralized his projected “aw-shucks” image of a cowboy-hat-wearing, pork-rind-eating, broccoli-hating, down-to-earth Texan. None of this was helped by the dichotomy of a Yale graduate who persisted in making the sort of embarrassing linguistic gaffes one might normally associate with Professor William Archibald Spooner.
Equally catastrophic to that year’s Republican Party hopes were perceptions gathered by two or three generations of young voters, few of whom could either conceive of McCain’s truly admirable Vietnam Conflict-era sacrifices (e.g., intentionally declining early release from a Viet Cong prisoner-of-war camp), nor realize just how incredibly damaging it was for him to admit (in the face of an emailing, Blackberry-addict, Social Media fluent, glib-tongued huckster) his total lack of understanding about how email and the internet worked. McCain’s message may as well have been, “Elect your Grandpa!!!”
Faced with a smooth and tech-savvy Democratic Party nominee—whom many Liberals extolled as nothing less than the second-coming of Jimmy Hendrix—this disastrous combination of Bush 2.0’s radioactive political legacy and McCain’s high-tech ineptitude rendered both of them as nothing other than walking billboards for (what should otherwise have been) an otherwise intensely vulnerable and thoroughly unproven opponent.
— More at the ever-so-wonderful, Xanthippa’s Chamberpot,
kinklink —NorseRadish you do excellent work, keep up writing because you will help convert people to the resistance to the left and the Moslems.
Thank you so much, Richard. Please know that I equally enjoy your own matter-of-fact writing style. We clearly share a dedication to fact-based analysis. It is something that has become absolutely imperative in this era of constant media distortion and lies.
Before this recent election, you mentioned the importance of holding Trump’s feet to the fire as part of keeping him true to his stated agenda. While I find many of his recent decisions somewhat encouraging, we remain obliged—if only to ourselves—to preserve a required degree of perspective (if not healthy skepticism) as part of our commitment to the truth. There must be no convenient jumping upon the proverbial (patriotic) bandwagon.
Again, I sincerely appreciate your encouraging words. As Joseph Cook noted:
“Duty done is the fireside of the soul.”
We all have a duty to this great American Republic, both to protect its Constitution and preserve this nation’s rightful electorate. Several decades of executive mismanagement (both political and corporate) have brought these United States to the very brink of dissolution and civil war.
Please permit me to close with some (astonishingly prescient) words from Abraham Lincoln’s 1838 Address Before the Young Men’s Lyceum of Springfield, Illinois:
Thank you for that quoted speach.
Prior to the bombing of Pearl Harbor Admiral Yamamoto was ask to plan an invasion of California. He told the Imperial Staff that suck an invasion would be doomed to failure because there would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.
And thank you for your compliment on my writing style, I was always taught to put the facts out for consumption rather then write in a flowery style.
The Ingraham Video may be sinus clearing. The Megan Kelley interview: she still has the flu. She kept interrupting Kelleyanne during the interview. Either she despises Trump or she has a short attention span.
She has come out of the closet as a liberal and is doing what the other liberal reporters did, try to destroy the politicians they dislike.
“Thank you NorseRadish, M., Wrath of Khan, Kathy, Xanthippa, and a host of others who I don’t know who they are as my email client currently only says: “WordPress” instead of saying who its from.”
At the risk of speaking out of turn (as if that EVER stopped me), I sincerely think that it is ALL OF US who should be THANKING YOU, Eeyore.
You are right, we don’t do that often enough so Eeyore add my thanks to Norseradish’s
