  1. Muslim Teens Break Girl’s Jaw When They See What She ‘Did’ With Her Hand

She didn’t defend herself or try to flee because there were dozens of accomplices off-camera and she knew it would result in a worse beating.

A group of Muslim teen girls approached a female classmate and viciously began beating her, breaking her jaw in two places as blood streamed down her face before they were done. However, when police asked her while she was still in the hospital why the Muslims would do this, the girl explained that it was because of what they said she did with her hand.

A Polish girl was brutally beaten by what the media are calling a Sharia patrol comprised of Muslim Chechen teen girls in Austria. The 15-year-old victim was treated at a local hospital for a week as doctors inserted a steel plate and screws into her jaw to fix it in place. After being given strong painkillers and gaining some recovery from her horrific injuries, Patricia bravely came forward to explain the disturbing footage that has caused an international outcry over what should be considered a religious hate crime.
Heute News reports that dozens of teens stood by and watched as a group of Muslim girls brutally beat 15-year-old Patricia Montag until she spat out blood because they falsely accused her of pulling down their friend’s hijab. While the girls in the footage aren’t wearing the compulsory hijab, they act as a devout Sharia patrol, dishing out a savage punishment for the infidel offender.

Although her jaw was broken in two places and her mouth is bleeding excessively, Patricia maintained her composure and refused to fight back as one-by-one the girls stepped up to beat her. She later told the police and media that she didn’t defend herself or try to flee because there were dozens of accomplices off-camera and she knew it would result in a worse beating.

“I have a double jaw fracture. During an operation, the hospital inserted two screws and a plate. I can only eat liquid or slurry and take strong painkillers,” Patricia said. “The video shows only the four attackers but behind them were many more. I knew that if I fought back, I would beat me even more. I just waited till it was over.”

According to The Local, the attacked occurred on November 9 at the Danube Centre, a shopping mall in Vienna. The leaders of the youth Sharia patrol are a 15-year-old Austrian girl named Leonie and a Chechen refugee boy nicknamed Abuu. The gang made headlines earlier this year for acting as an Islamic authority over terrified Austrian youths.

Fortunately, all 4 of the girls shown attacking Patricia in the video have been arrested. It is unclear if Abuu will also face charges for leading the vicious attack.

“We know the youngsters, they have already been involved in similar cases in Lower Austria,” police spokesman Paul Eidenberger said.

Patricia is undoubtedly a young girl with immeasurable courage to be beaten to a bloody pulp without even flinching. She even refused to give in to their threats, reporting the incident to police after the girls vowed to beat her again if she did. However, girls like Patricia shouldn’t have to stand there and take a beating in the first place by these religious zealots.

Thanks to the refugee crisis, millions of Muslims who adhere to these same violent fundamentals are flocking to the West. Using the crisis to carry out their religious duty to spread Islam through migration, these devout Islamists are using the same terror tactics their prophet Muhammad did when he entered Medina as a war refugee. Within a few years, he had raised a Sharia army and had driven out, enslaved, or executed every last civilian in his host city.

Just as Muhammad proclaimed that he had “been made victorious through terror,” these girls are carrying out the same brutality in the name of Allah.

    • “…devout Islamists are using the same terror tactics their prophet Muhammad did when he entered Medina as a war refugee.”

It was a Christian King that gave Muhammad shelter to plot their conquest.
“The Muslims were brought in front of the Negus and his bishops. Ja‘far ibn Ab? T?lib, who acted as the leader of the exiles, spoke in their defense.”

“The king asked if they had with them anything which had come from God. When Ja‘far confirmed, the king commanded him to read it. Ja‘far then recited a passage from the Surah of Mary. When the king heard it, he wept and exclaimed: “verily, this and what Jesus brought has come from the same source of light (mišk?t)”. He then affirmed that he would never give up the Muslims.[10][11]”

      Surah of Mary:

“35. It befits not (the Majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son [this refers to the slander of Christians against Allah, by saying that ‘Iesa (Jesus) is the son of Allah]. Glorified (and Exalted be He above all that they associate with Him). When He decrees a thing, He only says to it, “Be!” and it is.

      36. [‘Iesa (Jesus) said]: “And verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him (Alone). That is the Straight Path. (Allah’s Religion of Islamic Monotheism which He did ordain for all of His Prophets).” [Tafsir At-Tabari]

      37. Then the sects differed [i.e. the Christians about ‘Iesa (Jesus)], so woe unto the disbelievers [those who gave false witness by saying that ‘Iesa (Jesus) is the son of Allah] from the meeting of a great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection, when they will be thrown in the blazing Fire).”

This looks like just another lie fed to Muslims by Muhammadans, as Socialists are stripped of affection by Communists.

    • This is another case where I am unable to say what I want because it would get Eeyore in trouble.

  2. Iraqis Welcome Trump’s Stance on ISIS, but Fear It May Backfire

ERBIL, Iraq — Many Muslims in the Middle East reacted with a mix of fear, caution, suspicion and scorn on Friday to President-elect Donald J. Trump’s appointments of aides with hostile views toward Islam.

From Iraq and Syria and Lebanon and elsewhere, a range of people already skeptical about Mr. Trump said their doubts were only reinforced by announcements that senior security positions in his administration would be filled with figures like Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn, known for his outspoken antipathy toward Muslims.

“Trump chose @GenFlynn as his National Security Advisor. We must not shy away from comparing his anti-Muslim rhetoric to that of the Nazis,” Joey Ayoub, a well known Lebanese blogger, said on Twitter. He echoed the trepidation about General Flynn’s now-famous Twitter post that “fear of Muslims is RATIONAL.”

  3. Claims of votes by the dead, felons cloud North Carolina governor race

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Reuters) – North Carolina’s gubernatorial race was undecided 10 days after the Nov. 8 vote and new allegations by the Republican incumbent’s campaign about felons and dead people casting ballots could leave the outcome in limbo for weeks.

Republican Governor Pat McCrory, trailing Democratic challenger Roy Cooper by about 6,300 votes according to the state elections website Friday afternoon, has not conceded. Under state law, Friday was the deadline for counties to certify their results.

But challenges over the validity of hundreds of votes and reviews of provisional ballots were expected to delay the reports from many, if not all, of the state’s 100 counties, elections officials said.

The uncertainty has been punctuated this week by a war of words, with McCrory’s campaign accusing Cooper of being lax on voter fraud and Cooper’s campaign calling the incumbent dishonest and desperate.

“It is unfortunate to see that rather than accepting the results, Pat McCrory is going to go down by besmirching Republican election officials (and) by impugning voters,” Marc Elias, a lawyer for the Cooper campaign, said in a call with reporters on Friday.

  4. Outgoing AG to investigate post-election harassment cases … but only those that ‘target minorities’
By Howard Portnoy November 19, 2016

I can certainly appreciate why liberals are so anxious about a Justice Department overseen by a “racist” like Jeff Sessions. It’s highly unlike that the new attorney general will follow in the footsteps of Loretta Lynch or her predecessor, Eric Holder.

Lynch has vowed in her waning days as AG to investigate reports of harassment that have occurred in the aftermath of last week’s presidential election. In a video statement released by the Justice Department Friday, Lynch explained that the probe is designed not only to mete out justice but to determine “whether particular incidents constitute violations of federal law” and are therefore subject to hate crime enhancements.

If this sounds too good to be true coming from an Obama-era AG, that’s because it is. As Lynch notess in her comment, which follows:

  5. Change your vote or die: Mich. electors receive death threats from angry Hillary supporters
By Howard Portnoy November 18, 2016

Those libs — they’re such cards! Here they were years ago arguing that symbols on an electoral map were crosshairs, which demonstrated the Right’s violent tendencies. Now these same guardians of peaceful dialog have reacted to their candidate by mounting a witch hunt against electors — and worse.

According to The Detroit News, Michael Banerian, an elector in Michigan, has received death threats from Clinton supporters. One said he would shove a gun in Banerian’s mouth and blow his brains out, while another simply wished him dead and urged to walk in front of a bus.

    Banerian is not alone:

On Dec. 19, the 22-year-old Banerian is scheduled to join 15 other Michiganians to cast their electoral votes for Republican President-elect Donald Trump. But Trump’s opponents have deluged Banerian and other GOP electors with pleas and nasty emails to reverse course and cast their ballots for Clinton, according to the Michigan Republican Party.

“You have people saying ‘you’re a hateful bigot, I hope you die,’ ” he said. “I’ve had people talk about shoving a gun in my mouth and blowing my brains out. And I’ve received dozens and dozens of those emails. Even the non-threatening-my-life emails are very aggressive.”

The Detroit News verified one message containing a death wish and another containing a death threat, in which the person told Banerian he would “put a bullet” in his mouth. Banerian said he deleted the rest of the emails and messages “because as you can imagine they’re clogging up my email.”

  6. Not with a bang but a whimper: Obama’s DHS shuts down aerial surveillance along border
By Kenric Ward November 18, 2016

Barack Obama would be going gently into that political night even if Hillary Clinton had won. But she didn’t, and as the few remaining grains of sand in his adminstration’s hourglass begin to dribble down, he is wielding his pen and phone perhaps for the last time: His Department of Homeland Security has quietly shut down Operation Phalanx, an aerial surveillance program that intercepts drugs and illegal crossings along the Mexican border.

    Rep. Henry Cuellar ?
    21%
, D-Texas, vows to challenge DHS’s move, saying Congress provided “full funding” for 2017. Cuellar, a member of the House Appropriations Committee and the Homeland Security Subcommittee, is drafting a letter to DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson protesting the shutdown.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Cuellar challenged Johnson last February when DHS reduced Phalanx’s flight operations.

This time, Cuellar is seeking reinforcements from three fellow Texans, all Republicans: Sen. John Cornyn ?
    42%
, and Reps. Mike McCaul and John Carter ?
    45%
. Cornyn sits on the Senate Judiciary Subcommittees on Immigration, Refugees and Border Security and the Terrorism, Technology and Homeland Security panel. McCaul chairs the Homeland Security Committee in the House and Carter chairs the Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee.

McCaul, who referred questions to the Homeland Security Committee, previously called on DHS to “develop a strategy to gain operational control” of the border.

  7. Spain: Police arrests two suspected IS militants

Police arrested two Moroccans who are suspected to be part of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL) group, on Saturday. The arrests happened in the capital Madrid and in Roda de Ter, Barcelona.

According to police, the two detainees are suspected of acting as IS recruiters of young Muslims, and that they had used social media to spread propaganda.

  8. CBC -Kurdish PM opposes Canada’s ‘organized migration’ of Yazidis

Germany faced similar opposition to its Yazidi rescue plan, official tells Commons committee

The Kurdish regional government in northern Iraq opposes the Canadian plan to bring what could be thousands of Yazidi refugees to Canada in the next four months.

The office of Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani issued a strongly worded statement Thursday, the same day Canadian MPs convened on Parliament Hill to hear testimony from German officials who organized that country’s efforts to rescue Yazidi survivors of the genocide taking place in north Iraq.

“Yazidis are indigenous minority and [the Kurdish regional government] is against any organized attempt to mass migrate members of its community,” said the statement released to CBC News by a spokeswoman for Barzani.

“Prime Minister Barzani thinks the aid and support should be delivered to them in their country.”

A senior official in Barzani’s government went further, in an exclusive interview with CBC News, saying the administration is upset with the Canadian government, claiming there has been no consultation with the regional Kurdish authority or the Yazidi community in northern Iraq.?

The first time Yazidis heard about the Canadian plan was in the media, said Khairi Bozani, the Kurdish government’s director general of Yazidi affairs, which is part of the ministry of endowment and religious affairs in the semi-autonomous region.

“How is that possible for the people of one country to decide for the people of another country that they’re going to come and take 10,000–15,000 people out?” Bozani told CBC News. “They never consulted with the government.”

He urged Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government to open a dialogue with officials in Erbil, the Kurdish capital, but suggested the snub has strained relations.

  10. Wa Po – Pentagon and intelligence community chiefs have urged Obama to remove the head of the NSA

The heads of the Pentagon and the nation’s intelligence community have recommended to President Obama that the director of the National Security Agency, Adm. Michael S. Rogers, be removed.

The recommendation, delivered to the White House last month, was made by Defense Secretary Ashton B. Carter and Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper Jr., according to several U.S. officials familiar with the matter.

Action has been delayed, some administration officials said, because relieving Rogers of his duties is tied to another controversial recommendation: to create separate chains of command at the NSA and the military’s cyberwarfare unit, a recommendation by Clapper and Carter that has been stalled because of other issues.

The news comes as Rogers is being considered by President-Elect Donald Trump to be his nominee for DNI, replacing Clapper as the official who oversees all 17 U.S. intelligence agencies. In a move apparently unprecedented for a military officer, Rogers, without notifying superiors, traveled to New York to meet with Trump on Thursday at Trump Tower. That caused consternation at senior levels of the administration, according to the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal personnel matters.

The White House, Pentagon and Office of the Director of National Intelligence declined to comment. The NSA did not respond to requests for comment. Carter has concerns with Rogers’s performance, officials said. The driving force for Clapper, meanwhile, was the separation of leadership roles at the NSA and U.S. Cyber Command and his belief that the NSA should be headed by a civilian.

Rogers, 57, took the helm of the NSA and Cyber Command in April 2014 in the wake of revelations by a former intelligence contractor of broad surveillance activities that shook public confidence in the agency. The contractor, Edward Snowden, had secretly downloaded vast amounts of digital documents that he shared with a handful of journalists. His disclosures prompted debate over the proper scale of surveillance and led to some reforms.

But they also were a black eye for an agency that prides itself on having the most skilled hackers and cybersecurity professionals in government. Rogers was charged with making sure another insider breach never happened again.

Instead, in the past year and a half, officials have discovered two major compromises of sensitive hacking tools by personnel working at the NSA’s premier hacking unit: the Tailored Access Organization. One involved a Booz Allen Hamilton contractor, Harold T. Martin III, who is accused of carrying out the largest theft of classified government material ever. Although some of his activity took place before Rogers arrived and at other agencies, some of it — including the breach of some of the most sensitive tools — continued on Rogers’s watch, the officials said.

Martin’s alleged theft was discovered when some of the tools he is accused of stealing were mysteriously released online in August. They included computer code based on obscure software flaws that could be used to take control of firewalls and networks — what one former TAO operator called “the keys to the kingdom.”

Martin, who moved from the NSA to a job in a Defense Department acquisitions agency last year, was arrested in August. The news broke last month.

But there was a second, previously undisclosed breach of cyber tools, discovered in the summer of 2015, which was also carried out by a TAO employee, one official said. That individual also has been arrested, but his case has not been made public. The individual is not believed to have shared the material with another country, the official said.

Rogers was put on notice by his two bosses — Clapper and Carter — that he had to get control of internal security and improve his leadership style. There have been persistent complaints from NSA personnel that Rogers is aloof, frequently absent and does not listen to staff input. The NSA is an intelligence agency but part of the Defense Department, hence the two overseers.

FBI agents investigating the Martin breach were appalled at how lax security was at TAO, officials said. “[Rogers] is a guy who has been at the helm of the NSA at the time of some of the most egregious security breaches, most recently Hal Martin,” said a senior administration official. “Clearly it’s a sprawling bureaucracy .?.?. but I think there’s a compelling case that can be made that some of the safeguards that should have been put in place were either not fully put in place or not implemented properly.”

At the same time, Rogers has not impressed Carter with his handling of U.S. Cyber Command’s cyber offensive against the Islamic State. Over the past year or so, the command’s operations against the terrorist group’s networks in Syria and Iraq have not borne much fruit, officials said. In the past month, military hackers have been successful at disrupting some Islamic State networks, but it was the first time they had done that, the officials said.

The expectation had been that Rogers would be replaced before the Nov. 8 election, but as part of an announcement about the change in leadership structure at the NSA and Cyber Command, said a second official.

“It was going to be part of a full package,” the official said. “The idea was not for any kind of public firing.”

The president would then appoint an acting NSA director, enabling his successor to nominate their own person. But a key lawmaker, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), the chairman of the Armed Services Committee, threatened to block any such nominee if the White House proceeded with the plan to split the leadership at the NSA and Cyber Command.

The rationale for splitting what is called the “dual-hat” arrangement is that the agencies’ missions are fundamentally different, that the nation’s cyberspies and military hackers should not be competing to use the same networks, and that the job of leading both organizations is too big for one person.

But McCain is concerned that placing Cyber Command under its own leadership will hinder its effectiveness as it is highly dependent on the NSA for capabilities.

Meanwhile, in February, Rogers announced a major reorganization at the NSA, which he called NSA21. He has merged the agency’s spying and hacking arms with its computer security division into one Directorate of Operations. That reorganization has only intensified the discontent that has marked Rogers’s tenure at the agency, current and former officials said.

“The morale is horrible,” said one former senior official. Especially during a period of change, a leader needs to be present, the official said. “Any leader knows that when you institute change, you have to be there. You have to help heal the wounds, be very active. He was not.”

But Saxby Chambliss, a former Republican senator from Georgia who served on the Select Committee on Intelligence, said that he thinks highly of Rogers. “When it comes to the world of cyber, there’s nobody more capable than Mike Rogers in the military world today,” he said.

Rogers is a Navy cryptologist whose military career spans more than 30 years. Before landing at Fort Meade, Md., he headed up the Navy’s cyber arm, Fleet Cyber Command. A Chicago native, Rogers began his career as a surface warfare officer in 1981. Over the years he has served as head of the Chairman’s Action Group, an in-house Pentagon think tank to advise on policy and long-term issues, under then-Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Peter Pace, and as director of intelligence at Pacific Command and then on the Joint Staff.

  11. N Y T -Protest of U.S. Terror Listing Offers a Glimpse at Qaeda Strategy

American officials accuse him of being part of the “inner leadership circle” of Al Qaeda’s Syrian affiliate, most widely known as the Nusra Front, and of raising as much as $5 million for the terrorist group while signing up thousands of fighters.

But Abdallah Muhammad al-Muhaysini insists that he could not be more surprised to learn that the United States Treasury Department had designated him as a terrorist and ordered his funds frozen.

“Today, Syrians are shocked to find that the United States has put on the terror list a person whom they consider to be a national symbol,” Mr. Muhaysini said in a Skype interview with The New York Times last week. “It’s a very bizarre thing,”

“Abdallah al-Muhaysini is an independent figure,” he added. “How can the American State Department describe Abdallah al-Muhaysini as belonging to Fath al-Sham?” he said, using a version of the Nusra Front’s new name.

    ‘A Lack of Understanding’

Until now, Mr. Muhaysini, a 31-year-old Saudi-born cleric who said he was calling from Syria, had not been the type to contact Western publications.

That he is doing so is most likely a reflection of how the Nusra Front is trying to buy itself some flexibility by publicly rebranding — even if no one in counterterrorism circles believes it is truly changing. Public relations efforts have become paramount in the contest within the jihadist world for recruits and resources, and in the effort to evade military reprisals from foreign powers.

In what analysts say is a calculated move to hide its ties to Al Qaeda, the Nusra Front recently rebranded itself as a local insurgency against the government of Bashar al-Assad, declaring that it no longer intended to target the West and changing its name to Jabhat Fath al-Sham, or the Levant Conquest Front.

But experts and intelligence officials say the group is still an essential part of Al Qaeda, committed as ever to competing with the Islamic State for territory and support and leaving the fight against pro-Assad forces a lower priority.

Colin P. Clarke, an analyst at the RAND Corporation, argues that the Nusra Front is actually the biggest of Al Qaeda’s branches, with approximately 10,000 fighters. And he characterized the group’s public split from Al Qaeda as “simply a feint,” a way for the group to hunker down and rebuild as the Islamic State gets pounded by airstrikes.

“It has been used to give themselves a little bit of breathing room,” Mr. Clarke said.

Just as officials and analysts were not buying the Nusra Front’s attempt to rebrand, they will not be trusting Mr. Muhaysini’s protests that he is merely a religious scholar with no stake in the jihadist competition in Syria.

Experts on the Nusra Front agree with American and European officials in considering Mr. Muhaysini to be a senior leader in the group, with deep ties to Al Qaeda’s international network. And in his public communications up to now, Mr. Muhaysini himself has left little room between his positions and Al Qaeda’s, appearing in social media posts eulogizing dead Qaeda leaders and encouraging suicide bombers. His biography has even appeared in the Qaeda magazine Al Risalah.

In a Skype interview on Friday, from a room illuminated by a single fluorescent bulb, Mr. Muhaysini seemed relaxed, often breaking into a toothy grin as he insisted that he posed no threat to the West.

When asked, he acknowledged having contacted Ayman al-Zawahri, the global chief of Al Qaeda. “In 2014, yes, I talked to Ayman Zawahri because he is an old and generous sheikh and I asked him to speak about Daesh because he has a huge audience,” he said, using a derogatory acronym for the Islamic State. “I wanted him to talk about Daesh to prevent the youth from joining.”

He describes the images that have appeared of him with other well-known Qaeda leaders, and the comments he has made about them, as similar to photographs that might emerge from a summit meeting in which President Obama is seen sitting next to President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia. “It doesn’t mean that they share an ideology,” he said.

After he was listed by the Treasury Department, Mr. Muhaysini contacted The Times via an intermediary. To confirm his identity, The Times compared his image on Skype to his official portrait, as well as his voice to previous recordings issued by him. He further interacted with The Times using his official Twitter account — which, with over 60,000 followers, has become a reference point for jihadists in Syria.

“I am very well known. I am like a sheikh,” he said, saying he was Skyping from a location in Aleppo Province — a detail that could not be confirmed. “People around me told me to hide my location. But I can’t hide anything because I’m known to everyone. I couldn’t be working secretly for anyone.”

Thomas Joscelyn is an analyst who has been tracking Mr. Muhaysini since 2013 and has documented his close ties to Al Qaeda. Among the signs that Mr. Joscelyn says point to Mr. Muhaysini’s allegiance to Al Qaeda is the fact that he tried to play a mediating role after the Islamic State began clashing with Al Qaeda in Syria. After Al Qaeda’s leadership disowned the Islamic State in 2014, Mr. Muhaysini took to his popular Twitter feed to tell Islamic State members to defect to the Qaeda group, referring to Al Qaeda’s leader as “the sheikh of the mujahedeen.”

Mr. Muhaysini’s description of himself as an independent observer is part of Al Qaeda’s strategy of not broadcasting its allegiance, and of using local groups as a fig leaf to obscure its real goals, Mr. Joscelyn said.

“We consider this be to be a play out of Al Qaeda’s playbook,” he said. “They want to have ambiguity about their organizational affiliations, because it makes it more difficult for them to achieve their goals if they are known as Al Qaeda — so we don’t take these denials at face value.”

“An asylum seeker from Myanmar has been identified as the man who set himself alight in a bank in the Australian city of Melbourne on Friday.

The 21-year-old is under guard in hospital after the incident that injured 26 others.

He arrived by boat three years ago and had been released from detention pending a decision on his case.

It was reported that his benefits had not been in his account when he tried to withdraw them on Wednesday.

Broadway Union Takes Issue With ‘Hamilton’ Casting Call For ‘Non-White’ Performers

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The hottest show on Broadway has won praise for its groundbreaking casting of black and Latino performers, but now, “Hamilton” may have run afoul of the strict New York City Human Rights Law.

As CBS2’s Tony Aiello reported, the controversy was sparked by a casting notice posted by the producers of “Hamilton,” which specifically seeks “non-white” performers.

One critic said “Hamilton” takes a story that “valorizes dead white guys” and replaces it with black, Latino and multi-ethnic performers playing America’s founding fathers.

But as the blockbuster musical looks to expand to other cities, the casting notice with its call for “non-white” performers looks problematic to civil rights attorney Randolph McLaughlin.

“What if they put an ad out that said, ‘Whites only need apply?’” said McLaughlin, of the Newman Ferrara Law Firm. “Why, African-Americans, Latinos, Asians would be outraged.”

  18. UK Researchers: Tax Food to Reduce Climate Change

A group of researchers in Oxford University, England have suggested that imposing a massive tax on carbon intensive foods – specifically protein rich foods like meat and dairy – could help combat climate change.

Pricing food according to its climate impacts could save half a million lives and one billion tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions

Taxing greenhouse gas emissions from food production could save more emissions than are currently generated by global aviation, and lead to half a million fewer deaths from chronic diseases, according to a new study published in Nature Climate Change.

The study, conducted by a team of researchers from the Oxford Martin Programme on the Future of Food at the University of Oxford and the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington DC, is the first global analysis to estimate the impacts that levying emissions prices on food could have on greenhouse gas emissions and human health.

The findings show that about one billion tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions could be avoided in the year 2020 if emissions pricing of foods were to be implemented, more than the total current emissions from global aviation. However, the authors stress that due consideration would need to be given to ensuring such policies did not impact negatively on low income populations.

“Emissions pricing of foods would generate a much needed contribution of the food system to reducing the impacts of global climate change,” said Dr Marco Springmann of the Oxford Martin Programme on the Future of Food, who led the study. “We hope that’s something policymakers gathering this week at the Marrakech climate conference will take note of.”

Much of the emissions reduction would stem from higher prices and lower consumption of animal products, as their emissions are particularly high. The researchers found that beef would have to be 40% more expensive globally to pay for the climate damage caused by its production. The price of milk and other meats would need to increase by up to 20%, and the price of vegetable oils would also increase significantly. The researchers estimate that such price increases would result in around 10% lower consumption of food items that are high in emissions. “If you’d have to pay 40% more for your steak, you might choose to have it once a week instead of twice,” said Dr Springmann.

The results indicate that the emissions pricing of foods could, if appropriately designed, be a health-promoting climate-change mitigation policy in high-income, middle-income, and most low-income countries. Special policy attention would be needed in those low-income countries where a high fraction of the population is underweight, and possibly for low-income segments within countries.

    http://www.oxfordmartin.ox.ac.uk/news/2016_11_Emissions

    The abstract of the study;

Mitigation potential and global health impacts from emissions pricing of food commodities

Marco Springmann, Daniel Mason-D’Croz, Sherman Robinson, Keith Wiebe, H. Charles J. Godfray, Mike Rayner & Peter Scarborough

The projected rise in food-related greenhouse gas emissions could seriously impede efforts to limit global warming to acceptable levels. Despite that, food production and consumption have long been excluded from climate policies, in part due to concerns about the potential impact on food security. Using a coupled agriculture and health modelling framework, we show that the global climate change mitigation potential of emissions pricing of food commodities could be substantial, and that levying greenhouse gas taxes on food commodities could, if appropriately designed, be a health-promoting climate policy in high-income countries, as well as in most low- and middle-income countries. Sparing food groups known to be beneficial for health from taxation, selectively compensating for income losses associated with tax-related price increases, and using a portion of tax revenues for health promotion are potential policy options that could help avert most of the negative health impacts experienced by vulnerable groups, whilst still promoting changes towards diets which are more environmentally sustainable.

This proposal, from a group of people who have probably never missed a meal in their lives, is totally obscene. High income countries often have a lot of poor people who would be hard hit by increases in the price of food.

Needlessly exacerbating the risk poor people don’t get enough to eat, especially children and pregnant mothers, who are especially vulnerable to adverse health impacts from lack of protein in their diet – if this ghastly proposal is ever implemented, future generations will look upon it as a crime against humanity.

“The Indian forces have reportedly conducted raids on at least 10 locations where the controversial preacher Zakir Naik’s Non-governmental Organization (NGO) is having offices.

According to the local media reports, the raids were conducted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) forces earlier today in Maharashtra.

The raids on Islamic Research Foundation owned by Naik was conducted days after a First Investigation Report (FIR) was registered after examining Mr. Naik’s speeches telecast on Peace TV, which is partly-funded by the IRF.

The reports further added that the 50-year-old Naik came Indian government’s focus after the Bangladeshi government accused him of making speeches that could have incited some of the terrorists who attacked a Dhaka cafe in July, killing 20 people.

The Times of India newspaper reported that one of the terrorists involved in the Dhaka cafe attack had allegedly posted on social media that they had been inspired by Naik’s speeches.

  24. video -Spicy chicken recipe –

    [ a 100% natural way to strengthen you immune system ] 🙁 🙁 🙁

    • I’m obliged to inform you that much of the foregoing cooking managed to meet relatively decent food preparation standards (relative to overall global practices). At no time did you see anything fall “overboard” and get returned (unwashed) to the pot. Be advised that, right here in America, I’ve seen @ssh0le foreign chefs pick up food that has fallen to the floor and continue cooking it. Nor (in that video) were the various containers or cutting boards conspicuously dirty or detectably contaminated.

Ongoing scientific research is examining whether there may be demonstrable health benefits that result from eating with one’s hands. Doing so introduces micro-amounts of dirt and other environmental contaminants into the body without serious endangerment to one’s health..

These, in turn, provide low-level (and very beneficial) challenges to a person’s immune system. In contrast, recent studies have shown that children who reside in the homes of “compulsive cleaners” are more prone to experiencing asthma and allergies. Again, this is due to the absence of regular, low-level, immunological challenges.

In fact, some dietary hygienists are telling parents that, when their children come inside for dinner-time (after playing outside), that the kids should not wash their hands before eating.

This is in keeping with other studies (find yourself a copy of the Science News article, “Germs of Endearment”) that have shown how, before reaching the age of six years-old, children need to have consumed between four and six grams of DIRT. This small-scale, incremental, immunological challenge confers many of the same health benefits that are transmitted through the breast-feeding of infants.

As it is, many modern youth no longer have the benefit of being raised around household pets like cats and dogs. This deprives them of important opportunities for micro-exposure to allergens like dander, pet fur, dust, and the small amounts of dirt and excrement that pets normally carry and transmit to everyone around them.

Pristine and sanitized environments are NOT conducive to human health and, instead, tend to breed up much more frail, unhealthy kids. View the subsequent images and then ask yourself which food you’d rather eat; those chicken legs in the video or the following ingredients:

  25. Hollywood Actor Pushes Genocide for Trump Voters: “If You Voted for Trump, It’s Time for the Urn”

Yet one more indication that Hollyweird soon will be suffering a similar fate as so much of American print media has over the past decade. These smug little, self-important, terminally narcissistic, celebrity shites continue to delude themselves that they are the end-all and be-all when it comes to trend-setting or opinion-making.

Anyone who has not seen the fabulous video, “Thank You Famous Actors“, will more-than-likely laugh themselves to the point of near-vomiting exhaustion. The rest of us can take grim (or not-so-grim) satisfaction in knowing that, without-a-doubt, the Democratic National Party managed to overestimate and miscalculate about their own self-worth on a scale that will likely remain unmatched within the next century.

That this should be so inextricably connected with the once-dominating (and now laughably diminutive) specter of Hillary Clinton gives an altogether new meaning to the term “poetic justice”, “karma”, or just plain “destiny”. Any way you slice it, the Clinton baloney has been loaded onto a submarine that will not surface anytime soon. Not even for a nomination as “dog-catcher”. As in, Chelsea Clinton has a better shot at the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination than Hillary will ever enjoy for the rest of her entire life.

Stick a fork in her. This venomous hag is done (to a turn).

Within my entire lifetime, I cannot recall experiencing such feelings of elation and relief over the results of an American presidential election. My only regret is that this has been yet one more example of this nation’s electorate enduring another round of “defensive voting”. As in, not voting for someone but, instead, casting one’s ballot in a determined effort to exclude a candidate from possible victory.

I will heave a monumental sigh of relief when America finally has a slate of presidential nominees whose positive quality-of-character and reputation for leadership-by-example poses to this nation’s electorate a genuinely difficult choice.

Until then, I will reconcile myself to jubilantly celebrating a permanent end to Hillary Clinton’s far-too-lengthy political career. Thank goodness for small favors.

    • I am 70 and have voted in all Presidential elections since I reached voting age. There were only 2 elections that I voted for a person I liked and thought would make a good President, all of the other elections I voted against the obvious crook.

  27. Anger as less than A THIRD of Muslim nations sign up to coalition against ISIS (express, Nov 18, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/733916/Less-than-A-THIRD-of-Muslim-nations-sign-up-to-coalition-against-ISIS

“A TOP British official has taken aim at some Muslim nations during a meeting at the United Nations this week, slamming them for not clamping down on extremism.

It comes as it can be revealed just 18 out of 57 Muslim majority world states have signed up to a coalition against ISIS.

The UK’s permanent representative to the UN, Matthew Rycroft, delivered a strongly worded speech blasting what he called “evil groups” and saying not enough is being done.

The comments came as the UN general assembly supported a plan by the Islamic Development Bank to invest £7.2bn to tackle the cause of terror.

Britain is using its muscle at the UN to encourage more cooperation and has also pledged to invest £20m of taxpayers’ money to the Arab Women’s Enterprise Fund.

Mr Rycroft said: “One issue facing the OIC’s (Organisation of Islamic Cooperation) members, indeed all members of the UN, is the growing threat of extremist ideologies and violent extremism.

“Sadly, as we in this Council know only too well, this threat affects Muslim majority states in a truly disproportionate way – in Iraq, in Syria, in Libya, in so many places.

“Put simply and starkly, far more Muslim men, women and children have lost their lives at the hands of groups like Al Shabaab and Da’esh than any other faith or religion.

“The fact that these evil groups claim to represent Islam only makes this reality even more sickening.

“The United Kingdom is clear that we must tackle violent extremism in all its forms, whether radical Islam or neo-Nazism.”

Worryingly, Mr Rycroft pointed out that just 18 of the 57 member states, with a collective population of over 1.6 billion – that makes up the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation which was founded in 1969 – are members of the Global Coalition against Da’esh.

It comes after the UK set up a Strategic Communications Cell to tackle terrorists in London last year, handing over an initial £10million.

He added: “It’s no coincidence that 18 members of the OIC are also members of the Global Coalition against Da’esh.

“Among them are of course our colleagues from Egypt and I want to pay tribute to the work of those two great Egyptian institutions, Al-Azhar and Dar Al-Ifta.

“These beacons of Islamic thinking help provide a narrative of tolerance that counters the hate preached by the likes of Da’esh.

“The UK is committed to help spread that narrative, to showing the reality of Da’esh’s lies.

“That’s why we’re hosting the Coalition’s Communications Cell in London.

“It draws on the expertise of Coalition members, including our partners from the United Arab Emirates, to help counter the misrepresentation of Islam and its values by Da’esh.

“Countering an ideology is part about offering a competing narrative.

“But it’s also about delivering consequences for those who join Da’esh and it’s about supporting survivors of their crimes by giving them a voice and ending impunity.

“Da’esh accountability is a top priority for the UK and we are seeking UN action to preserve evidence of Da’esh’s crimes as a first step.””

    • Time to halt all foreign aid, military assistance, disaster relief, famine response, and medical intervention to these Islamic pissholes. If any of them show the slightest support for international terrorism, bomb the living snot out of them.
