The story of life is to learn from your own mistakes. When people run from them and become a new creation, to define their old life as cut off from their new, they cannot stand those who made good out of crap while they can only make crap out of good..

  1. ….and more…(Oh, big pharma is going to LOVE President Trump)

Compilation of Triggered Trump haters Smashing their TVs after Donald Trump Wins the Election:

    • Love leftards in their natural environment. Good for the makers of big screen TVs at least.

    • Effing priceless!!!

Let’s see if we can reach inside the heads of these loons and find out what they’re thinking:

“What better way to prove that Liberals have a rational philosophy than by destroying an expensive item of consumer electronics that cost me almost a week’s pay!”

That last clip is especially satisfying when the moron lobs his Apple laptop into the flat screen. Talk about a two-fer! All of this is enduring proof how Trump will be good for industry, even if it’s only the television manufacturing firms.

If you find any brains in there let me know, I am better there aren’t any.

  2. German vice-chancellor: Trump worse than Islam

The SPD chairman Sigmar Gabriel sees the western value system questioned by the election victory of Donald Trump. “Trumps election campaign is both a warning and a wake-up call at the same time. The Clash of Civilizations is not Christianity against Islam, but the self-assertion of the liberal and social democracies against the re-measurement of our societies by authoritarian, nationalist and chauvinist movements,” writes the vice-chancellor in a guest contribution for the current issue of the SPIEGEL.

    • German vice-chancellor: Trump worse than Islam

I hope that Trump remembers this with elephantine tenacity if that Teutonic scheisskopf is still in power and, for whatever reason, Germany needs any sort of American intervention with its Muslim problem.

That quote of his, “…the self-assertion of the liberal and social democracies against the re-measurement of our societies by authoritarian, nationalist and chauvinist movements,” sounds like something straight out of the Karl Marx playbook.

      • Trump is businessman, so I hope when Germany needs any help Trump makes them PAY A LOT (in gold, in minerals, in products) for it. THAT would be the best revenge.

        • Don’t worry, Trump is a man who will make his enemies pay and often not realize how badly they have been screwed.

  3. Syrian Refugee plays dead on the side of the road, then steals car from concerned German citizens trying to help him. Samer D. explains, “I´m sorry. I had smoke marijuana and thought everyone was trying to kill me.” A few minutes later he drives the car into a tree. By his arrest his was resisting the police rabidly.

He was declared to have exemption from criminal responsibility due to being under the influence of drugs, but still was charged and had to pay 2,000Euro to the married couple for damages. Both are in therapy until today because of this trauma. (I doubt if he ever paid and anyway it money from Mama Merkel)

  4. Greek nihilist group urges attacks to sabotage Obama visit

    Associated PressNovember 11, 2016

ATHENS, Greece (AP) — An armed anarchist group in Greece is calling for “attacks and clashes” during next week’s visit by U.S. President Barack Obama.

The Conspiracy Cells of Fire group is urging anarchists to “spoil the party … and sabotage” the Nov. 15-16 visit to Athens.

The nihilist group has organized a string of bomb attacks on judges, police and other authority figures. The attacks have caused minor injuries, but no fatalities.

In a posting on a left-wing website Friday, the group called on anarchists to use Obama’s visit to “return a little of the violence we receive daily.”

Anarchist groups are planning a protest march to the U.S. embassy in Athens on Nov. 15. Similar protests during a 1999 visit by then-president Bill Clinton led to extensive violence.

  5. Mexico’s ‘avengers’ backed by public sick of crime and lack of punishment

A wave of vigilante killings – such as the bus passenger who shot four robbers – has struck a chord with Mexicans fed up with crime, corruption and impunit

It was still dark when four men boarded the packed commuter bus heading for Mexico City and ordered the passengers to hand over their valuables.

They gathered up mobile phones and wallets, but as they prepared to leave near the town of Toluca, one passenger stood up, drew a pistol and shot the four assailants, killing their leader instantly.

The three injured robbers stumbled off the bus, but the gunman followed them out and shot them dead at the roadside. Then he returned to the bus, handed back the passengers’ belongings and disappeared into the darkness.

Police in Mexico state, which wraps round the country’s capital like a horseshoe, have deployed hundreds of officers in search of the so-called justiciero – or avenger.

But many Mexicans – fed up with crime, corruption and impunity – took to social media to praise the unidentified killer. None of the bus passengers have offered information to police, saying it was too dark to see him clearly.

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/nov/11/mexico-vigilantes-killings-public-support

    • That’s two nations where the people are resorting to vigilante justice, one (the Philippines) with the blessing of their President.

      There will be more.

    • All the cases mentioned seem to be self defence, not vigilantism. Vigilantes go out and hunt their prey, these people were defending themselves from an attack. The Guardian must just have raghead writers who are unfamiliar with the language.

      • “Be not afraid of any man, no matter what his size; when danger threatens, … I will equalize”

When in trouble fort up with a Winchester.

        Two old sayings.

  6. Anti-Trump protesters gather for third night, one shot in Portland

MIAMI (Reuters) – Thousands of protesters took their frustrations over Donald Trump’s election as the next U.S. president onto the streets on Friday and into Saturday in several cities, including Portland, Oregon, where one protester was shot.

The unidentified man was wounded on Portland’s Morrison Bridge at 12:45 a.m. local time as he and dozens of other protesters crossed it during their demonstration, one of several across the country denouncing Trump’s campaign rhetoric about immigrants, Muslims and women.

In the Portland incident, police said in a statement that a man got out of a vehicle on the bridge where he confronted and then shot a protester, who was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect is still at large, police added.

Earlier in the night, protesters blocked traffic and threw objects at Portland police dressed in riot gear who responded with pepper spray and flash-bang devices. At one point, police pushed protesters back and appeared to take at least one person into custody, according to footage on a local NBC affiliate.

Hundreds of protesters also marched through the streets of Los Angeles, blocking traffic as they waved signs in opposition of Trump and chanted “We reject the president elect” and “Whose streets? Our Streets”.

    http://www.oann.com/california-high-school-students-walk-out-of-classes-in-trump-protest/

    • I wonder if it was a man settling an old debt or someone pissed off at the way traffic was being blocked?

    • Anti-Trump protesters gather for third night, one shot in Portland

So, in mathematical terms, if there’s a fourth night, is there any hope of two protesters being shot?

Cruel of me, I know—especially in light of the many 60s-era protests that I participated in—yet, all the same, back then I never broke a single window or physically assaulted anyone.

Sometimes change is not for the better.

  7. The hysteria of progressive America
    By J.E. Dyer November 11, 2016

We have a situation here that doesn’t compute.

A bunch of people – 60+ million at last count – went to the polls and peacefully voted, according to due process of law, to elect Donald Trump president of the United States. Those people are now going about their daily business, engaging in no public displays other than maybe wearing a ballcap or a T-shirt, or high-fiving the odd fellow Trump voter here and there.

In the 72 hours since Election Day, other people in various parts of America have surged into the streets to shut down traffic, have turned their demonstrations into riots, have attacked people they assumed were Trump voters, have attacked the dogs belonging to Trump voters, have tagged public monuments with slogans like “Die whites die,” have fabricated fake “hate crimes” to defame Trump and his supporters, have called for the assassination of Donald Trump (and started crowdsourcing money for that project), and have defecated on a public sidewalk and smeared a Trump sign with feces.

    • A bunch of people – 60+ million at last count – went to the polls and peacefully voted, according to due process of law, to elect Donald Trump president of the United States.

Voicing the concerns of these clearly traumatized infantile American Liberals; what on earth does the foregoing logical statement have to do with how THE EXACT SAME POLITICAL SYSTEM THAT ELECTED 0BAMA has totally congruent, operative continuity even the slightest connection with how Donald Trump attained office???

      Enquiring minds want to know!!!

  8. Somalia: Al-Shabaab Regains Land As Ethiopia Pulls Troops (allafrica, Nov 12, 2016)
    http://allafrica.com/stories/201611120105.html

“As the clock ticked past 11am and birds nestling on the short dry shrub trees chirped away, a large group of young men in camouflage uniforms and black face-wraps appeared from nowhere and marched towards an open clearing in the bush, their feet kicking up dust in the soft, sun-baked brown soil beneath.

Totalling more than 150 men and only their eyes visible, they made no eye contact or small talk among themselves as they lined up.

The men are part of al-Shabab’s Special Forces gathered in this rebel base in southern Somalia to undergo final training before they dispatch to nearby towns in preparation for taking them over from African Union (AU) and Somali government troops.

The training base is about 10km outside the strategic town of Moqokori in the Hiiraan region, a town the al-Qaeda-linked group retook after Ethiopian troops withdrew last month.

It is a pattern that has been repeated many times recently across south and central Somalia.

Ethiopia has more than 4,300 soldiers in Somalia as part of African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) – a UN security council-mandated mission to combat the armed group.

The East African country also has thousands of other troops that are not part of AMISOM in Somalia.

Recently, the Ethiopians have been abandoning their bases in towns in southern Somalia; 10 towns in the last four months, four of them in the past four weeks, without notice or explanation.

“Jihad,” shouts the group’s commander under the watchful eyes of two of al-Shabab’s most senior and well-known figures.

“Strength, honour,” the fighters shout back, drawing admiring looks from their leaders.

This group of fighters – which includes medics, mechanics, explosives experts and suicide bombers – have been handpicked from al-Shabab’s many battalions as the group seeks to retake territories it lost to Somalia’s internationally recognised government and AMISOM.

Morale among the fighters appears sky-high as news reaches the training base of Ethiopia withdrawing from towns and al-Shabab taking them over without firing a single bullet or losing a fighter…”

“Russia’s security service says it has arrested 10 people who were preparing terrorist attacks in Moscow and St. Petersburg and who had contacts with the Islamic State group.

The statement from the Federal Security Service was reported by Russian news agencies on Saturday.

The security service, known by its acronym FSB, said those arrested were from Central Asian countries; it did not specify the countries but said the arrests were made in cooperation with the former Soviet republics of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

The FSB said homemade bombs and firearms were seized in the Saturday arrests and the suspects admitted to having contact with Islamic State figures.”

    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/syrian-troops-reverse-rebel-advance-west-aleppo-43486893

“Syrian government forces regained control Saturday of areas they lost over the past two weeks to a rebel offensive on the edge of the northern city of Aleppo, ending a major attempt by insurgents to break the siege on eastern parts of the city, an activist group and pro-government media said.

The insurgents had seized a couple of strategic areas in western Aleppo after launching an offensive on Oct. 28 in an attempt to break the siege imposed in July on rebel-held eastern Aleppo, which has also been targeted by waves of Syrian and Russian airstrikes.

Russia said last month that it would halt the airstrikes on the city and urged insurgents to leave. But the fighters, including members of the al-Qaida-linked Fatah al-Sham Front, refused to leave after the government opened corridors for them to cross to the nearby province of Idlib, an insurgent stronghold.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Saturday that government forces and their allies have regained control of Al-Assad and Minyan districts, west of Aleppo…”

  11. Heavy Fighting as IS Attacks Iraqi Forces in Mosul (abcnews, Nov 12, 2016)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/heavy-fighting-attacks-iraqi-forces-mosul-43487158

“A suicide car bomber from the Islamic State group attacked Iraqi special forces in Mosul on Saturday, setting off heavy fighting in the northern city.

The early morning attack in the Qadisiya neighborhood, which the troops entered a day earlier, was followed by a barrage of gunfire, mortar rounds and rocket-propelled grenades, Iraqi officers said.

Fighting was also underway in the adjoining Arbajiya neighborhood, the officers added, speaking on condition of anonymity because they aren’t authorized to brief reporters.

The Iraqi armed forces do not release casualty figures, but field medics have noted dozens of killed and wounded since the operation to liberate Iraq’s second largest city began on Oct. 17.

Iraqi special forces entered Mosul earlier this month, gaining a foothold on the city’s eastern edges. But the advance has slowed as they push into more densely populated neighborhoods.

The urban landscape inside Mosul proper makes defense easier for the militants, eager to hold on to the last major Iraqi stronghold of their self-styled caliphate. Defeat in Mosul would be a major blow to their project, and they have said they are ready to fight to the death.

To the south of the city, militarized Iraqi police have come within 3 miles (5 kilometers) of Mosul’s airport, which satellite images show has been heavily fortified.

The images, taken earlier this month by U.S.-based private intelligence firm Stratfor, show IS fighters have cleared terrain and leveled buildings around the airport and a nearby former military base on the west bank of the Tigris River. Rows of concrete barricades, earthen mounds and rubble are blocking other key routes into the city center.”

  12. Kurdish Demonstrators Rally Against Erdogan in Cologne (abcnews, Nov 12, 2016)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/kurdish-demonstrators-rally-erdogan-cologne-43487396

“About 6,000 pro-Kurdish demonstrators are holding a rally in the western German city of Cologne in protest against the government of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Police said Saturday that the rally in an industrial area along the Rhine River has been peaceful so far.

Erdogan’s government recently ordered the arrest of nine lawmakers of the pro-Kurdish HDP party, which it accuses of acting as the political wing of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK — an allegation the HDP rejects.

The PKK has waged a three-decades-long insurgency against the state, and Erdogan has blamed Europe for supporting and arming the group.”

  13. Report: French Journalist Detained in Turkey (abcnews, Nov 12, 2016)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/report-french-journalist-detained-turkey-43486890

“A French news website says one of its journalists has been detained in Turkey, and it is demanding his immediate release.

Les Jours website says Olivier Bertrand was detained Friday, along with a Turkish photographer, while conducting an interview in the city of Gaziantep, near the border with Syria. The photographer was subsequently released.

No reason was given for Bertrand’s detention, Les Jours said, and Turkish officials could not immediately be reached for confirmation.

The website says Bertrand was working on a series about the aftermath of Turkey’s failed coup in July, which resulted in a massive crackdown on the followers of an Islamic movement blamed for the attempt.

Dozens of journalists have also been detained and hundreds of media outlets shut down as part of the post-coup clamp down.”

  14. Pakistan shrine blast kills 10 (BBC, Nov 12, 2016)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/37962741

“At least 10 people have been killed in explosion at a Sufi Muslim shrine in Balochistan, Pakistan officials say.

Scores more are reported to have been wounded at the Shah Noorani shrine in Kuzdar district.
Local media report there is no hospital nearby and emergency services are struggling to reach the area because of its remote location.

The injured are reportedly being transported to Karachi on Pakistan’s coast for medical treatment.
In October dozens were killed in an attack on a police college in the Balochistan city of Quetta. Another suicide attack killed 70 people at a hospital in Quetta in August.”

    • Blast at Pakistan shrine kills 43, wounds scores

QUETTA: An explosion claimed by militant group Islamic State ripped through a Muslim shrine in southwestern Pakistan on Saturday, killing at least 43 people and wounding scores, officials said.

The blast at Shah Noorani shrine occurred while hundreds of people were inside, local district commissioner Hashim Ghalzai told Reuters.

Provincial Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti said 43 people were killed and Ghalzai said more than 100 were wounded.

“Every day, around sunset, there is a dhamaal (ritual dance) here, and there are large numbers of people who come for this,” said Nawaz Ali, the shrine’s custodian.

The shrine is located in Baluchistan province about 100 km (60 miles) north of the port city of Karachi, to where rescue official Hakeem Nasi told Geo TV dozens of wounded were being moved.

The government dispatched 25 ambulances from the nearby town of Hub to the shrine, said Akbar Harifal, provincial home secretary for Baluchistan. The army was called in to assist with rescue operations, given the remoteness of the site, Bugti said.

It was not clear if the attack was carried out by a suicide bomber or a planted device, according to Bugti.

The province has seen some of the worst militant attacks this year in Pakistan.

Islamic State said in a statement via its Amaq news agency that its fighters had carried out Saturday’s bombing.

The jihadist group also claimed responsibility for the last major attack in the province, at a police academy last month, that killed around 60 people.

Muslim shrines have often been targeted by militant groups, many of whom adhere to a strict interpretation of Islam that regards veneration of saints at shrines such as Shah Noorani as heresy.

Baluchistan is also a key link in a $46 billion transport and trade corridor between Pakistan and China, which hinges on a deep-water port in the southwestern city of Gwadar.

    • Death toll rises to 50 in IS-claimed blast in Pakistan

The death toll from a bomb blast at a Sufi shrine in southwest Pakistan Saturday has risen to 50 people with more than 100 wounded, officials said.

The Islamic State group later claimed responsibility for the suicide attack at the shrine of Sufi saint Shah Bilal Noorani in the southwestern province of Baluchistan.

Abdur Rasool, an official at the province’s home ministry, said rescuers were transporting the wounded to hospitals and the dead to local morgues, but were struggling in the difficult mountainous terrain, some 350 kilometers (217 miles) south of the provincial capital, Quetta.

The blast targeted worshippers as they were in the throes of their devotional “dhamal” dance, and the courtyard at the time was packed with families, women and children.

The Islamic State group’s statement on the IS-affiliated Aamaq news agency said the suicide attack had targeted “Shiites.” The shrine is frequented by both Pakistan’s Sunni Muslim majority and Shiite minority. IS considers all Shiite Muslims heretics.

The blast comes ahead of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s pre-planned trip to the province tomorrow, where he will see off the first Chinese shipping consignment to Africa from Gwadar port.

Baluchistan home minister Sarfaraz Bugti, citing a lack of cellular services in the affected area, said the situation will be much clearer in the morning. He said over 500 people were present in the courtyard of the shrine when the blast happened.

Abdul Hakim Lasi, an official with the Edhi Foundations rescue service, said many of the injured were wounded in a panicked stampede after the blast.

One female witness, who was not identified by name, told the GEO television channel that a “big bang” took place in the midst of the dhamal dance in the shrine’s courtyard. “I don’t know how I escaped unhurt,” she said. “It was like a hell all around.”

A doctor at an area hospital told a local television station that the number of wounded being brought in had overwhelmed the hospital’s capacity.

“We don’t have sufficient space so several people were treated outside on the ground,” the doctor said adding that, “Several wounded people have lost limbs.”

A military statement said that four army medical teams and 45 army ambulances had been dispatched to the scene to assist.

Last month IS claimed responsibility for an attack in which three Islamic militants stormed a police academy in Quetta, killing 61 people, mostly cadets and trainees. Later, the banned sectarian militant group Lashkar-e-Jhangvi claimed joint responsibility.

For over a decade, Baluchistan province has been the scene of a low-intensity insurgency by nationalist and separatist groups demanding a bigger share of regional resources.

  15. ISIS prepares sulfur pits, hangs ‘traitors’ on lampposts as Iraqi troops close in on Mosul (RT, Nov 12, 2016)
    https://www.rt.com/news/366562-mosul-isis-sufur-pits/

“Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) is stockpiling mustard gas, using increasingly brutal tactics against civilians in the Iraqi city of Mosul, while resorting to the use of child soldiers as its ranks are being depleted by the coalition’s onslaught.

“On Tuesday, ISIL reportedly shot and killed 40 civilians in Mosul city after accusing them of ‘treason and collaboration’ with the Iraqi Security Forces (ISF). The victims were dressed in orange clothes marked in red with the words: ‘traitors and agents of the ISF’. Their bodies were then hung on electrical poles in several areas in Mosul city,” said the latest briefing from the UN Office of the High Commissioner of Human Rights (OHCHR), published on Friday.

Later through the week, more than 20 other men were shot dead in three separate executions, as a result of being found with SIM cards, and displayed in public with notes saying “used cell phones to leak information to the ISF.”

The UN also verified a video posted on Wednesday showing children, apparently aged between 10 and 14, executing civilians.

“They are showing they are still in business,” Ravina Shamdasani, an OHCHR spokesperson in Geneva, who said that the UN had discovered a mass grave with more than 100 bodies this week, when the town of Hammam al-Alil, near Mosul, was captured, with confirmed information about several others. “We’re talking about war crimes, crimes against humanity, even genocide.”

The UN said that ISIS, which has moved its chemical weapons production facilities to built-up areas of Mosul, and has on occasions loaded its ordnance with sulfur mustard in recent months, is now placing stocks of sulfur and ammonia in public places.

“Credible reports in Mosul state that they have placed sulfur pits in close proximity to civilians. We can only speculate how they intend to use this. We are simply raising the alarm that this is happening, that this is being stockpiled,” said Shamdasani, who said that the UN was receiving reliable information from multiple sources inside the besieged city.

It is also using more child soldiers, a trend that has become more prevalent throughout the Islamist militia as the year has gone on, preparing them for suicide missions when the city is breached.

“On Wednesday, ISIL deployed what it calls the “Sons of the Caliphate” in the alleys of the old town of Mosul, wearing explosive belts. We are concerned that these may be teenagers and young boys,” said the OHCHR.

Despite, this, Islamic State is still servicing the needs of its soldiers – with kidnapped and enslaved women.

“ISIL has been relocating abducted women, including Yezidi women, into Mosul city and into Tel Afar town. Some of these women were reportedly ‘distributed’ to ISIL fighters while others have been told they will be used to accompany ISIL convoys,” said the UN briefing.

On Thursday, the US said that over 1,300 Islamic State fighters had been killed since the start of the assault on Mosul, which, according to international agencies, still has about 1 million inhabitants, despite being under Islamic State occupation since 2014, and Iraqi and Kurdish troops have reached the edges of the urbanized part of the city.

According to the UN, for the past week ISIS trucks have been patrolling the streets of Mosul, blaring out a message that any fighter who will flee the battlefield will face execution.”

Ha Ha, I just had an idea; Trump should appoint Arpaio head of Homeland or Ice, or some such position. It would be the greatest slap to Soro’s face any one could do.

Gotta lurve the way this person thinks.

      • I have heard that it is Sheriff Clark of Milwaukee that he is thinking about for that job.

How delightful!!! There are few other nominees who could be more deserving. 17. Muslims to Refrain from Voting in USA Elections: “Islam Is Here to Dominate”

Haitham Ibn Thbait, of the American chapter of Hizb Ut-Tahrir, recently exhorted American Muslims to avoid falling into the “electoral trap” and called upon them not to vote in the U.S. elections, saying that getting Muslims to vote was part of an effort to assimilate them and that they had been “tricked” into voting for Clinton, Bush, and Obama in the past.

Speaking at the Khilafah 2016 conference, held in Chicago on May 15, Ibn Thbait further called Obama a “terrorist” and said that “Islam is here to dominate.”

    • There is no room for compromise.

No truer words have been spoken. Too bad this ambulatory Muslim turd is unable to recognize exactly who it is that there will be “no room for”.

      So be it.

How sad that this moron effing jihadist has so little understanding with regard to how the “100%” will (more than likely) occupy Western casualty lists. Pauvre petite.

  18. White men DON’T get to define RACISM: Newsnight guests clash over Trump’s alleged racism (express, Nov 12, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/731584/donald-trump-racist-newsnight-clash-us-election-hillary-clinton

“TWO Newsnight guests were involved in a heated exchange as the pair clashed over US President-elect’s alleged racist campaign.

Author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie hit back at conservative journalist R. Emmett Tyrrell after he said it was not true that the Republican candidate has been racist throughout his campaign to reach the White House.

Mr Trump was accused of using racist rhetoric throughout his campaign as he was pitted against Hillary Clinton in a bitter battle to become president.

The millionaire businessman issues a statement on December 7 2015 that he is “calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.

“According to Pew Research, among others, there is great hatred towards Americans by large segments of the Muslim population”.

According to the Daily Telegraph the statement has now been removed from Mr Trump’s campaign website and the link now redirects to the campaign homepage.

President Barack Obama hit out at the property mogul’s rhetoric about Muslims, using it as an example of how “far right” the Republican party had become.

Discussing the subject on BBC Newsnight, Mr Emmett Tyrrell hit back at critics: “That’s not true, he hasn’t been racist.

    “Let me tell you…”

Ms Ngozi Adichie swiftly interjects the journalist as she puts across her thoughts: “I am sorry but if you are a white man you don’t get to define what racism is, you really don’t.

“You don’t get to sit there and say he hasn’t been racist when objectively he has.

“And it’s not about your opinion – racism is an objective reality and Donald Trump has inhabited the reality.”

Given his chance to reply, Mr Emmett Tyrrell says: “You know the false consciousness which is the theory you are talking about is a Marxist comment and concept.

“I can’t even open my mouth here because I am a white male.”

To finish the heated exchange, Ms Ngozi Adichie rebuked: “Of course not, I’m just showing to you that Donald Trump has shown us and said racist things that are objectively racist.

“So It’s not about my emotion – if he says to us, for example, that a judge – a United States judge – is unable to judge him fairly because he is Mexican that is racist.”

In the wake of Mr Trump’s unlikely and astonishing victory over Mrs Clinton, reports of racist graffiti and hate crimes have risen throughout the United States.

African-Americans have been left worry by the events because they believe Mr Trump’s presidency represents genuine concerns of a resurgence of racism and institutionalised violence against them.

Alicia Scotland-Smalls told Al Jazeera: “Given that racism was part of Trump’s campaign, I am afraid that racists might feel emboldened to commit acts of violence and discrimination against our community.””

  19. Germany: Police arrest anti-Erdogan protesters after clashes in Cologne

Several people were arrested after protesters clashed with riot police at an anti-Erdogan rally in Cologne on Saturday.

According to police, a group of roughly 400 pro-Kurdish demonstrators started attacking police officers with stones, bottles and flares. Riot police responded with batons and pepper spray. The protest was directed against the political situation in Turkey and against Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

  20. Russia: FSB arrests IS suspects from Central Asia in Moscow and St. Petersburg

A total number of ten men from Central Asian states were detained in both Russian cities with weapons and self-made explosives seized from them. Four improvised explosive devices, shotguns and communications equipment were allegedly found at the scene.

  21. CHICAGO – 2 Investigators: Water Plant Trespasser Is Released, Then Vanishes

Clean drinking water is essential for our health, so when a man with a foreign passport is discovered trespassing in a protected Chicago water plant, the FBI and Homeland security are alerted.

Authorities say Shahroon Augustine entered the Eugene Sawyer Water Purification Plant with a duffle bag, containing a passport from Pakistan.

He was charged with trespassing, then vanished.

“If our water supply isn’t vigorously protected, we as a society could have real trouble,” says Richard Schak, a former Chicago Police official who launched the criminal justice program at National Louis University.

He has studied municipal water systems.

“I hope it doesn’t fall through the cracks because it could indicate someone that’s looking, casing, trying to find something that’s vulnerable,” he says. “He could be an innocent guy that got into the wrong spot, but he could also be the worst type of person that we’re dealing with.”

Augustine, who may have lived in Palatine at one time, has had numerous previous arrests. He has pleaded guilty to two separate drug charges in Wisconsin. And last year he was charged with a misdemeanor after Palatine police stopped him with “an ax in the waistband of his pants” and a gym bag containing an expandable baton, duct tape and more.

Augustine spent 10 days in jail for that.

In the most recent incident, the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force and Homeland Security were notified after Augustine made his way onto the South Side water plant.

Augustine was released on his own recognizance. But he failed to appear in court and a warrant was issued. Three months later, he pleaded guilty and was re-sentenced to court supervision in late October.

A spokesperson for the city Department of Water Management, citing security, will not say how Augustine got access, though he claims he never breached “critical areas.”

“The city regards it as a serious offense to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law,” the spokesperson says, adding the department is reviewing the incident to determine how security can be improved.

“If our water supply isn’t vigorously protected, we as a society could have real trouble,” says Schak, the former Chicago police official. “I mean, if the power grid goes out, we’ve got problems and we know we’ve been through blackouts and everything else. But there’s only so much bottled water to go around until we have trouble.”

  22. Sweden: 10 counter-protesters arrested after scuffles at far-right march in Stockholm

Around 10 people were arrested following scuffles between police and left-wing Antifa counter-protesters, as members of the far-right Nordic Resistance Movement marched through Central Stockholm, Saturday.

Minor clashes erupted close to King’s Garden (Kungstradgarden) where several hundred right-wing demonstrators, mostly from Sweden but also Norway, were preparing to rally towards Mynttorget square in the Old town district.

As the right-wing activists were marching with a banner reading “Stop the alien invasion” as well as the movement’s green and white flags, several thousand counter-demonstrators tried to prevent them from crossing the bridge and later tried to break through police cordons to reach their opponents. The left-wing counter-protesters also threw snowballs and firecrackers at the police.

  23. FEDERAL AGENCIES -Tears, angst as workforce braces for Trump takeover

U.S. EPA employees were in tears. Worried Energy Department staffers were offered counseling. Some federal employees were so depressed, they took time off. Others might retire early.

And some employees are in downright panic mode in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s victory.

“People are upset. Some people took the day off because they were depressed,” said John O’Grady, president of American Federation of Government Employees Council 238, a union that represents thousands of EPA employees. After Election Day, “people were crying,” added O’Grady, who works in EPA’s Region 5 office in Chicago. “They were recommending that people take sick leave and go home.”

[…]”If you look at the seven stages of grief, I’m still in denial. I will not look at the news. I will not read the news,” said an EPA career employee.

Another EPA staffer said, “I don’t actually know anybody here that was supporting Trump.” That person said people are “worried” that their work over the last eight years will be unraveled. “It’s always a time of uncertainty” when a new administration comes in, the employee said, and there were fears when the George W. Bush administration came into office, too. But “people are more worried this time,” the person added.

Silvia Saracco, head of a union chapter that represents EPA employees in North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park, said, “There is a lot of angst out there, nervousness.”

Some DOE employees are feeling glum, too.”[…]

  24. Some interesting campaign finance information is surfacing.

From New Equipment Digest: President-Elect Trump: Rust Belt Savior Is Silicon Valley’s Worst Nightmare

Total contributions to the Clinton campaign from the internet industry came in at 114 times the level they did for Trump, according to statistics compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics.

Some statistics from The Center for Responsive Politics: Campaign Funding by Candidate

    Hillary Clinton (D) — COMMITTEE MONEY: $497,808,791 — OUTSIDE MONEY: $189,453,103

    Donald Trump (R) — COMMITTEE MONEY: $247,541,449 — OUTSIDE MONEY: $59,389,531
    ————————————————-

Trump won with only 50% of the Committee Money that Hillary had available.
Trump won with only 31% of the Outside Money that Hillary had available.

    These numbers equate to:

Campaign funding from outside sources (compared to Committee Money) —

    Hillary Clinton: 38%
    Donald Trump: 24%

All of these foregoing numbers reveal the ferocity of anger permeating so much of (traditionally Blue and pro-union) Middle America.

  25. Lego ends advertising with Daily Mail after calls for companies to ‘Stop Funding Hate’

Toy company responds to campaigners by saying it is ‘not planning any future promotional activity’ with the right-wing paper

Lego will stop advertising its products in the Daily Mail, following a public campaign calling on big companies to drop adverts from newspapers accused of promoting “hatred, discrimination and demonisation”, the company has announced.

[…]Stop Funding Hate urges advertisers to rethink their ‘support’ for rightwing newspapers over what it sees as misleading headlines about child refugees, and the recent ruling by High Court judges that Parliament must be consulted before Article 50 is triggered.

[…]It comes a week after a British father’s letter to Lego regarding their links with the Daily Mail went viral.

Bob Jones, who said his six-year-old son ‘loves’ Lego, wrote an open letter to the company after the Daily Mail ran a controversial front page calling the High Court judges who ruled Parliament must be given a say on Brexit “enemies of the country”.

[…]The Stop Funding Hate campaign was founded in August following what it said was “hatred, discrimination and demonisation” being promoted by some newspapers.

  26. WaPo-Hillary Clinton blames one Comey letter for stopping momentum and the other for turning out Trump voters

Hillary Clinton blamed the renewed FBI inquiry into her State Department email system for blunting her momentum in the presidential election and the closure of that inquiry two days before Election Day for energizing voters for Donald Trump.

“There are lots of reasons why an election like this is not successful,” Clinton told top donors on a farewell conference call Saturday.

“But our analysis is that (FBI Director James B.) Comey’s letter raising doubts that were groundless, baseless, proven to be, stopped our momentum,” she said.[…]

    • “But our analysis is that (FBI Director James B.) Comey’s letter raising doubts that were groundless, baseless, proven to be, stopped our momentum,” she said.[…]

In other words: Comey’s attempt to exonerate whitewash Hillary’s criminal activities a second time only served to show the American voting public just how thoroughly she was marinated in the juices of Washington DC’s, Democratic Party, political machine. Who’da thunk?!?

      • I think the reopening the closing of the investigation was a put up job, Hillary and Obama thought it would stop people talking about the original whitewash of her may crimes. The fact that it backfired as intelligent people could have predicted shows how mentally unqualified Hillary is.

  27. Fox News – Mike Rogers overseeing national security on transition team

Controversy is swirling over the former House Republican’s new role; Catherine Herridge has the details for ‘Special Report’

    • Katherine Herridge: “… after 50 of the nation’s most senior Republican national security professionals said, in August, ‘they could not support a Trump presidency’, the president-elect’s team pulled together a group of lesser-know but still highly qualified candidates.

A widely circulated document reports that retired Army Lieutenant-General Kieth Kellogg is heading up the defense transition team. A former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency [DIA], Ron Burgess, is handling intelligence.

And former House Republican, Mike Rogers, is overseeing National Security. Rogers, who chaired the House Intelligence Committee for four years abruptly announced that he would not seek reelection in April of 2014 after allegations of a conflict between his senior staffer and Clinton’s closest aide surfaced. At the time Rogers said he was leaving to host a national radio talk show.

The congressman whose credentials include Army service—as well as four years with the FBI—was also openly criticized for his committee’s report in the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack.

Bret Baier: “Are you saying that his report was not good and that people shouldn’t take him … seriously?”

Trey Gowdy: Yes, well they can take him seriously if they want to, but two of his INTEL committee members were on our Benghazi committee. They didn’t sign his report—they signed ours.

You don’t … you don’t issue a final definitive report without interviewing eyewitnesses. He didn’t interview the eyewitnesses…
      ——————————————————–

      And so begins the weirdness.

All that I’m willing to conclude from the foregoing is that those “50 of the nation’s most senior Republican national security professionals” need to be pimping their house pets in order to afford their next cuppa Starbucks.

As in, I sincerely hope that Donald Trump will be entirely unforgiving of the “Never Trump” traitors who sought to elect Hillary in opposition to the wishes of America’s electorate.

  28. Nigel Farage meets Donald Trump today and tells Theresa May: I can help you forge links with him

Nigel Farage, the interim leader of the UK Independence Party, is expected to meet with Donald Trump for the first time since he was elected president.

Mr Farage, who campaigned at Mr Trump’s election rallies, also made clear that he was keen to help the British Government forge links with the US-president elect, despite being described as an “irrelevance” by Downing Street.

The Daily Telegraph disclosed on Friday how Liam Fox, the international trade secretary, was planning to contact Mr Farage for advice on who to approach in Mr Trump’s inner circle.

However, within hours of the story appearing, Number 10 said Dr Fox – who is seeking a meeting with Mr Trump’s team within weeks – would not be contacting Mr Farage.

  30. Mad Oregonians begin secession initiative!

Two days after Donald Trump was elected president of the United States, two Portlanders have submitted a petition for a 2018 ballot initiative to have Oregon secede from the United States.

On Thursday morning, Jennifer Rollins, a lawyer, and Christian Trejbal, a writer, filed the Oregon Secession Act.

“Oregonian values are no longer the values held by the rest of the United States,” Trejbal said over the phone Thursday.

Those values? “Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness,” Trejbal said, “plus equality.”

“Obviously,” he said, the ballot proposal “came about partially in response to the election results on Tuesday.”

“But,” he added, “it’s been developing over time.”

    http://www.gopusa.com/?p=17047?omhide=true

    • The federal government is not about to allow any state to secede from the Union.

Most likely, military force would be applied to prevent such an action.

At the very last, Trump probably would do whatever was necessary to prevent any secession … if only to rub the noses of all Oregonians in the fact that he won the election and they’re not about to win anything at any time in the near future.

      • The question of secession was settled in 1865, the same decision will be reached in a new civil war.

  31. Europe’s Planned Migrant Revolution

Everyone now knows — even German Chancellor Angela Merkel — that she committed a political mistake in opening the doors of her country to more than a million migrants from the the Middle East, Africa and Asia. It was, politically, a triple mistake:

Merkel may have thought that humanitarian motives (the war in Syria and Iraq, the refugee problem) could help Germany openly pursue a migration policy that was initially launched and conducted in the shadows.
Merkel mainly helped to accelerate the defense mechanisms against the transformation of German society and culture into a “multicultural” space — the “multi” being a segregated, Islamic way of life. The anti-immigration party Alternative for Germany (AfD) is now a big player on the German political scene.
Merkel raised anxiety all over Europe about the migrant problem. She might even have encouraged the United Kingdom to Brexit and pushed central European countries such as Hungary to the point of seceding from the European Union.

For many years, Germany was the country in Europe most open to immigration. According to Eurostat, the official data body of the European Union, between 2005 to 2014, Germany welcomed more than 6 million people. [1]

Not all six million people came from Middle East. The vast majority of them, however, were not from Europe. Clandestine immigration is not, of course, included in these figures.

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/9183/europe-migrant-revolution

    • It was, politically, a triple mistake…

One may as well refer to the Mediterranean Ocean resembling a bead of moisture.

However often various people may “screw the pooch”, somehow (against all odds) Merkel has managed to enthusiastically copulate the proverbial Tijuana donkey.

The sole difference being that countless millions of people in the global community have borne witness to this sordid spectacle of hers instead of a mere stadium full of ogling south-of-the-border spectators. In keeping with the rigid diktats of Stasi doctrine, everyone loses.

      • And the entire world is going to receive a lesson about remembering the lessons of history, unfortunately so many of those alive are so indoctrinated in the Marxist thought patterns they will never be able to understand the lesson.

  32. Donald Trump signifies he will end US support for Syrian rebels despite their pleas to him for help

President-elect appears to reiterate his position that an alliance with Syrian and Russian governments to defeat Isis is his preferred way forward in the Syrian conflict

President-elect Donald Trump has reaffirmed his campaign trail position that assisting the Syrian government in fighting Isis should be the US’ main objective in Syria, despite appeals from rebels for continued help in their fight against President Bashar al-Assad.

“I’ve had an opposite view of many people regarding Syria. My attitude was you’re fighting Syria, Syria is fighting Isis, and you have to get rid of Isis,” he said in a wide-ranging interview with the Wall Street Journal on Friday.

Mr Trump has stated that while he “did not like [Mr Assad] at all”, shoring up his regime is the best way to stem the extremism that has flourished in the chaos of the civil war and threatens the US.

He has also been emphatic about mending ties with Russia, Syria’s long-standing ally and military backer in the conflict.

“Russia is now totally aligned with Syria, and now you have Iran, which is becoming powerful, because of us, is aligned with Syria… Now we’re backing rebels against Syria, and we have no idea who those people are,” he told the Journal, referring to the hardline Sunni Islamist elements present in rebel ranks. If the US attacks Mr Assad, “We end up fighting Russia,” he added.

Mr Trump’s shock victory in the US election this week was welcomed by Moscow and Tehran, as well as Damascus, where aides to Mr Assad were cautiously optimistic in interviews on Thursday. The president is “ready” to cooperate with Mr Trump going forward, they said.

To date the US has tacitly supported rebels in Syria both logistically and financially, along with Turkey and Gulf allies Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

The long-standing US position has been that Mr Assad must be removed from power and democratic elections take place to end the complex and multisided conflict, now in its sixth year.

Mr Assad’s military strategy – including air strikes targeting civilian infrastructure, siege tactics and alleged use of chemical weapons – has been responsible for far more civilian deaths since 2011 than rebel groups or Isis militants, analysts and monitors say.

Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton had proposed a no-fly-zone over Syria, a position rebels had been hopeful could stem the aerial attacks that have turned the tide of the war in Mr Assad’s favour since Russia began lending the Syrian government military support in September 2015.

After Mr Trump’s victory this week, the main Syrian opposition group the Syrian National Coalition (SNC) reached out to his staff asking him to protect civilians.

President Anas Al-Abdah said the SNC had sent Mr Trump its congratulations and was in touch about a “comprehensive new approach” to Syria.

The US must “establish peace in our region and to find fair and swift solutions for the threat of terrorism… especially the state terrorism practiced by the Syrian regime against the Syrian people,” Riad Hijab, head of the opposition High Negotiations Committee, said in a statement on Wednesday.

Other rebels on the ground were less enthusiastic, predicting more bloodshed no matter what Mr Trump’s policy ultimately ends up being on a war which has killed more than 400,000 people to date and driven half the Syrian population from their homes.

“I guess most Syrians are reacting in a similar way today, trying to hide their disappointment by making [jokes],” said Wissam Zarqa, a rebel media activist in besieged east Aleppo.

“We live in hope… but the only bright side to this is that we will not live on false promises now,” he added, referring to the international community’s inability to stop Russian air strikes on the area’s 250,000 trapped civilians.

“With [US President] Obama, we had enough of his false promises and fake red lines.”

Abu Hamed, head of the military council of rebel group Liwa al-Haq Brigade, was similarly dismissive. “The Americans were never honest with us,” he said, speaking from Hama. “They left us in a quagmire that drowned the Syrians… everyone is trading with our blood and suffering.”

  33. Germany: ‘Not my president’ – Hundreds rally against Trump in Berlin

Hundreds gathered in front of Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate on Saturday, to protest against US president-elect Donald Trump.

Around 700 protesters, among them many Americans residing in Berlin and civil rights organisations such as Black Lives Matter, denounced xenophobia and racism while holding up anti-Trump signs such as “Love Trumps Hate” and singing Charles Albert Tindley’s protest hymn ‘We Shall Overcome.’

The protest remained peaceful, according to police, with no incidents reported at the time of writing.

Trump is set to become the 45th President of the United States after beating his rival Democratic Candidate Hillary Clinton by 278 to 218 Electoral College votes, primarily thanks to his victory in swing states including Florida, Ohio and North Carolina.

  35. The Clintons And Soros Launch America’s Purple Revolution

    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-11-11/clintons-and-soros-launch-americas-purple-revolution

Defeated Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton is not about to «go quietly into that good night». On the morning after her surprising and unanticipated defeat at the hands of Republican Party upstart Donald Trump, Mrs. Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, entered the ball room of the art-deco New Yorker hotel in midtown Manhattan and were both adorned in purple attire. The press immediately noticed the color and asked what it represented. Clinton spokespeople claimed it was to represent the coming together of Democratic «Blue America» and Republican «Red America» into a united purple blend. This statement was a complete ruse as is known by citizens of countries targeted in the past by the vile political operations of international hedge fund tycoon George Soros.

  37. AUSTRALIA – US considers taking Australian [ M U S L I M ] refugees

THE federal government has today announced a “one-off” deal with the US to resettle asylum seekers from Manus Island and Nauru.

Under the deal, which follows talks with the US, Canada, Malaysia and New Zealand, the US will take some asylum seekers found to be refugees.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull this morning confirmed “that the government has reached a further third country resettlement arrangement for refugees presently in the regional processing centres”.

“It’s a one off,” Mr Turnbull said.

“The arrangements with the United States will offer the opportunity for refugees, both on Nauru and Manus, to be resettled but I should stress that the priority is very much on the most vulnerable which are family units and, of course, they are located on Nauru.

“This agreement is built on the security of our borders.”

The arrangement is supported by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

Refugees will need to satisfy standard requirements for admission to the US, including passing health and security checks.

Mr Turnbull said “American officials from Homeland Security (will be) coming to Australia to begin the process in the next few days”.

“We’re not setting timelines,” he said.

US authorities will conduct their own assessment of refugees and decide which people are settled in the US.

According to the government, settlement in Australia “will never be an option for those found to be refugees in regional processing centres nor for anyone who attempts to travel to Australia illegally by boat in the future”.

Immigration minister Peter Dutton said the government will “work hard to … remove people back to their country of origin, or to send them to third countries, the United States”.

“I want to confirm there are other aspects to the announcement we make today,” he said.

Refugees who refuse offers of resettlement will remain in Nauru on a 20 year-visa.

“We are in final stages of negotiation with Nauru for a 20-year visa,” Mr Dutton said.

“People who are offered a settlement arrangement in the United States and refuse to take that arrangement, so this deal only applies to people who are on Nauru at the moment, prioritising women and children and family units.

“And with the prospect of providing assistance to others on Nauru and Manus and including those 370-odd people who have come from Nauru or Manus and are receiving medical attention in Australia at the moment with the intent of sending those people back to an RPC.

“That is the only application of this policy.”

He would not be drawn on how many refugees were likely to be resettled in the US.

“All I can say to you is that we have demonstrated, by the diligence and integrity of our response, we can secure Australia’s borders, we’ve demonstrated we can source and provide alternative resettlement options,” Mr Dutton said.

Mr Dutton said the agreement will “never ever apply to any prospective arrivals”. He said this was the latest step in Operation Sovereign Borders.

The announcement comes after US Secretary of State US John Kerry confirmed he has agreed to consider referrals from the UNHCR on refugees who are being detained in Australia’s offshore detention centres.

Mr Kerry told a press conference in Wellington the US was encouraging all countries to work with the UN to find a “durable solution” for the refugees. “We in the United States have agreed to consider referrals from UNHCR on refugees now residing in Nauru and in Papua New Guinea,” he said.

Mr Kerry said the issue had been a key focus of the leaders summit in New York in September.

“My sense is that we are reaching an understanding of how we may be able to deal with it,” he said.

He had been asked if the US was going to resettle refugees held in offshore detention centres, how many, whether the agreement would be conditional on Australia’s proposed lifetime ban on them ever entering Australia, and if an agreement could be overturned by President-elect Donald Trump. He said he could not answer all of those questions.

“I know the government of Australia has proposed some changes to its laws regarding this and I don’t want to comment on the specifics of the legislation at this point,” he said.

“It is for the government to figure out exactly what they intend to do.” Mr Kerry said the “guiding principles” were to remain focused on trying to save lives and provide timely humanitarian assistance.

He was speaking after holding talks with New Zealand Prime Minister John Key.

Meanwhile, Labor is asking why such a deal has taken so long. Labor has given tentative support for the agreement, although has yet to see any detail on the deal which follows talks with the US, Canada, Malaysia and New Zealand.

“If this is what’s on the cards, obviously it’s welcome … it absolutely begs the question as to why it’s taken so long and why this Government wasn’t doing this three years ago,” Labor frontbencher Richard Marles told ABC television on Sunday.

The Obama administration has approved more than $278 billion in foreign arms sales in its eight years, more than double the total of the previous administration, according to figures released by the Pentagon on Tuesday.

Many of the approved deals — most but hardly all of which have become actual sales — have been to Mideast nations, including key allies in the campaign against Islamic State militants and countries that have been building up their defenses in fear of a nuclear Iran.

Saudi Arabia has been the largest recipient, reaping prospective deals worth more than $115 billion, according to notices announcing the deals that were sent to Congress for approval.

“Nobody even comes close” for the number of deals and total value, said William Hartung, director of the Arms Security Project at the Center for International Policy.

Among the weapons approved for Riyadh: F-15 fighter jets, Apache attack helicopters, Blackhawk utility helicopters, missile interceptors, armored vehicles and bombs and missiles.

But Hartung noted that only about half of those approvals have so far resulted in actual contracts. For instance, the administration approved an $11.25 billion sale of four Lockheed Martin Multi-Mission Surface Combatants last year, but the Saudis have yet to place an order for the warships.

On Tuesday — the same day American votes took to the polls to elect a new president — the Pentagon announced that it had approved $33.6 billion in arms sales in 2016. That’s down from the $40-plus billion approved in 2015.

These estimated totals are compiled for each U.S. fiscal year, which runs from October through September, and often change as new data comes in. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency — the arm of the Pentagon that handles foreign sales — updates its data each year based on individual sales, so its figures often fluctuate from year to year.

Not included in the 2016 totals are fighter jets deals with Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain, which are expected to top $7 billion. The administration has approved those deals and is expected to publically release them later in the year, meaning they will count toward 2017 arms sales figures.

How does the Obama administration compare to its predecessors? Earlier this year, Hartung did the math: Obama has brokered more arms deals than any administration since World War II. For immediate comparison, the George W. Bush administration approved $128.6 billion in arms export between 2001 and 2008.

  39. Washington-Baltimore Newspaper Guild Exposes Gender and Racial Pay Disparities at the Washington Post
    May 26, 2016

The Washington-Baltimore Newspaper Guild, TNG-CWA Local 32035, released a disturbing report this week revealing a big pay disparity at the Washington Post between men and women with the same jobs, and between white employees and employees of color.

According to the report, which examined the pay of every union-represented employee of the paper, male Post reporters earned an average of $7,000 more than women. Male columnists made an eye-popping $23,000 more than women doing the same jobs. Male editorial aides made $7,000 more than their female counterparts.

In nine of 12 job titles the report looked at, white employees earned significantly more than their non-white colleagues. Assistant editors of color made about 15 percent less than white assistant editors.

Fredrick Kunkle, a NewsGuild co-chair who works at the Washington Post, said: “We believe the problem is widespread at the Post and that the organization, despite complaints about disparity that go back decades, has not done enough to track or correct the situation. But we’re hoping the company will take a fresh look at the data and engage with us in ways to address the issue. We recognize that this is a longstanding and complex problem not just at the Post, but society in general, and we’re eager to collaborate on ways to address it.”

    • Moore then left the building and tweeted: ‘I’m in the middle of thousands -tens of thousands?- of American voters outside Trump Tower demanding he step aside. He got the least votes.

What clearer demonstration can there be as to how @SSHOLE SUPREME Michael “Truther” Moore (i.e., “Fahrenheit 911” producer) has ZERO effing understanding of the Electoral College and its crucial role in American politics?

For those who have any doubts, just examine those nations which operate on a strict “one man, one vote” principal.

      • Moore is one of the individuals who think the Constitution is outdated and needs to be replaced by one that will let the left take over. This type of stupidity ignores the way that nations with a direct democracy are always finding themselves in messes they can’t get out of because the majority of the people refuse to learn the skills necessary to understand the problem and sacrifice to achieve a solution.
