  1. Jihadis Back on UK Streets As Spy Boss Warns of New Attack
Hundreds of terrorists were released in the UK after serving their sentences. It was just revealed 12 terror plots were foiled since 2013.

Hundreds of convicted terrorists who have served their prison sentences in the UK are now back on the streets without having attended deradicalization programs or renouncing their ideology, according to an investigation by Sky News.

Out of the 583 convicted of terrorism-related offenses since the 9/11 attacks, some three quarters (418) have now served their sentences and been released, the investigation found. However, of those released, two-thirds refused to engage with deradicalization programs in prison that sought to counter their radical views.

Those released include three men convicted of assisting in the 2005 7/7 bombings of the London Underground.

The news comes as senior police officers spoke out about their efforts to prevent jihadists from accessing illegal firearms.

“Despite our good work, we know that firearms can enter the criminal market through a variety of means, including thefts from legitimate holders or dealers,” London’s Metropolitan Police’s counter-terrorism chief Mark Rowley told Russia Today (RT).

        • Sorry to get it to you so late. The plan is to study a few verses each day, so by Sabbath it’s the whole portion in review. [Ideally chanted communally.]

The supplementary portion echoes some theme from the main piece. For example, the reading from Isaiah reprises G-d’s promise to Noah, a passage that will be very familiar to practicing Christians.

When you read the Torah this way, bit by bit, and read the selections from the Prophets, you’ll hear the Words of Jesus as he was heard by his followers. History helps. The Good News is even better when you know what we went through to get here.

I did a cycle one year with an ancient Jesuit priest, professor emeritus in Classics from Boston College. He knew how to read the Hebrew perfectly – way better than I – exquisite sensitivity to grammar. But he never heard the words or paired the selections in this traditional format. He, in turn, helped me frame the Gospel in this context.

  2. Putin Gives Citizens of Aleppo 10-Hour Truce to Leave City
Meanwhile, self-styled calif of the Islamic State Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi called on his followers to remain steadfast and stay on the battlefield.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has given the citizens and rebels left in Aleppo a 10-hour window on Friday to escape. The Guardian reported the 9 am-7 pm truce, called by the Russians a “humanitarian pause,” will allow citizens and anti-regime fighters to leave the rebel-held eastern part of the city, which has been the site of a siege and a massive bombing campaign that has all but destroyed the once-thriving city.

In a statement, Russia’s chief of general staff Valery Gerasimov, announced eight corridors – six for civilians and two for rebel fighters — had been created for escape.

The Russian bombing of Aleppo stopped 16 days ago amid worldwide condemnation of the campaign that resulted in hundreds of civilian deaths and the destruction of infrastructure, including hospitals.

The truce comes with the presumption that the bombing will begin anew Friday night.

  3. State Dept. Emails: Clinton White House Data Stolen from National Archives
Emails recovered from Clinton’s private server show massive data theft in 2009, possibly SSNs of every admin official

by Jim Stinson | Updated 03 Nov 2016 at 8:29 PM

A newly released email from the State Department shows that Hillary Clinton was informed in April 2009 of a massive theft of data pertaining to former President Bill Clinton’s White House records.

On April 13, 2009, Clinton attorney Cheryl Mills informed newly sworn-in Secretary of State Hillary Clinton via email that the National Archives could not account for a two-terabyte hard drive.

The hard drive contained information from the administration of her husband, former President Bill Clinton.

The email was made public from State Department files on Thursday as part of an ongoing release of recovered emails that had been previously deleted from Clinton’s private server.

A Syrian man was arrested over fears he was plotting attack on an airport
The 27-year-old, who came to Germany in 2015, is suspected ISIS member
Comes weeks after a refugee was arrested in Chemnitz over a similar plot

German police have arrested a Syrian man in Berlin suspected of plotting a terror attack on a city airport, it has emerged.

The man, who has lived in Germany since 2015 and claims to be 27, was seized late last night at an apartment in the Schoeneberg district of the capital.

He is suspected of belonging to a foreign terror organisation – believed to be ISIS, according to reports in Germany.

It comes just weeks after a 22-year-old bogus refugee called Jaber Al-Bakr was captured after police raided his apartment in the city of Chemnitz to discover a bomb under construction.

He was arrested in Leipzig two days after the raid following a nationwide manhunt and later killed himself in a police cell.

Focus Magazine, known for its strong sources within German intelligence, said officials were describing the man arrested in Berlin as a ‘second Al-Bakr’ who was planning to attack an airport in the city.

He was arrested at his apartment in the Schoeneberg district of the city.

He is regarded as highly dangerous among intelligence officials,’ said Focus.

He was identified in the Die Welt newspaper as Shraf al-T, born in Tunisia but who arrived in Germany on a Syrian passport.

According to multiple media reports, he and a friend of the same age had been under the observation of security officials for some time.

The decision to arrest him at his apartment in Kolonenstrasse came late on Wednesday evening. The police operation took several hours and numerous cartons were removed from the flat.[…]

  5. Turkey: Convoys of tanks and military vehicles arrive in Silopi near Iraq border

A convoy of trucks carrying tanks and other military machinery was caught on footage in Silopi, near Turkey’s border with Iraq and Syria, on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Turkish Defence Minister Fikri Isik said the country was making preparations for “all kinds of possibilities,” adding that the amassing of military vehicles in Silopi was to “not allow the threat to Turkey to increase.” Isik made those claims while speaking to a local news broadcaster.
