  1. Saudi Arabia and Qatar Bankroll ISIS — and the Clinton Foundation
How Hillary welcomed money from those she knew to be funding jihadist killers.

WikiLeaks released an August 2014 e-mail from Hillary Clinton to John Podesta, who currently serves as her campaign chairman, stating that the governments of Saudi Arabia and Qatar have been “providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL and other radical Sunni groups in the region.” Evidently President Obama has not heeded Hillary’s concern, or chose to ignore it. In December 2014, Obama praised Saudi Arabia’s significant role in helping to fight ISIL (also known as ISIS and the Islamic State) during a meeting in Washington with the Kingdom’s Minister of Interior Prince Mohammed Bin Naif Bin Abdulaziz. And at a meeting he hosted with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar, at the White House in February 2015, Obama said, “Qatar is a strong partner in our coalition to degrade and ultimately defeat ISIL.”

Putting aside Obama’s state of denial, which has characterized his whole approach in dealing with the Middle East mess he helped to create, the information in Hillary’s e-mail is not particularly surprising. Saudi Arabia and Qatar have been playing us for years, pretending to be allies in countering terrorism while actually helping to advance the terrorists’ jihadist agenda. For starters, Saudi Arabian government front groups and individuals linked to the government have been implicated in possible involvement with the al Qaeda 9/11 attacks on our homeland. A member of the Qatari royal family, Abdallah bin Khalid al-Thani who headed Qatar’s ministry of Interior until 2013, is said by American intelligence services to have tipped off the 9/11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed back in 1996 when he was already under indictment on terrorist charges, as FBI agents were closing in on Mohammed while he was in Qatar. In addition, ABC reported, based on statements from U.S. intelligence officials, that “bin Laden himself visited Abdallah bin Khalid al-Thani in Qatar between the years of 1996 and 2000.” Both countries’ funding of ISIS and al Qaeda in Syria and Iraq are just a continuation of this long pattern.

  2. FBI Investigators Unanimously Wanted Clinton’s Security Clearance Yanked

We have learned that the FBI investigation of Hillary was rigged to protect her and even cover up her crimes. But that was a decision made at the top. The people actually doing the work wanted to see justice done.

The source, who spoke to FoxNews.com on the condition of anonymity, said FBI Director James Comey’s dramatic July 5 announcement that he would not recommend to the Attorney General’s office that the former secretary of state be charged left members of the investigative team dismayed and disgusted. More than 100 FBI agents and analysts worked around the clock with six attorneys from the DOJ’s National Security Division, Counter Espionage Section, to investigate the case.

“No trial level attorney agreed, no agent working the case agreed, with the decision not to prosecute — it was a top-down decision,” said the source, whose identity and role in the case has been verified by FoxNews.com.

A high-ranking FBI official told Fox News that while it might not have been a unanimous decision, “It was unanimous that we all wanted her [Clinton’s] security clearance yanked.”

“It is safe to say the vast majority felt she should be prosecuted,” the senior FBI official told Fox News. “We were floored while listening to the FBI briefing because Comey laid it all out, and then said ‘but we are doing nothing,’ which made no sense to us.”

  3. Conn Gov Warns of “Jumping To Conclusions” on Muslim Pilot Crashing Near Defense Contractor

Please let’s not jump to any conclusions. Conclusion jumping must be avoided in the cases of Muslims killing people.

Or rather we must jump to any and every other possible conclusion.

This particular Muslim was homicidally suicidal… but in a non-Islamic way.

A 28-year-old Jordanian Muslim who who was studying to become a pilot died after crashing a small plane Tuesday afternoon in Connecticut, and the instructor pilot who survived the crash said it was intentional. Arian Prevalla, another pilot on the plane said, “the crash was not an accident”.

Local and state police, along with several federal agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration, are now investigating the crash.

  4. Egypt secures ‘alternative oil sources’ after Saudi halt: ministry

Egypt has contracted ‘foreign suppliers’ to provide the required amount of refined oil products for October after Saudi Aramco halted the expected delivery of 700,000 tonnes for this month, the petroleum ministry announced on Tuesday.

The move by the Saudi oil giant was a surprise as Riyadh has been one of the main regional backers of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and had agreed to finance Egyptian imports from Aramco for five years in a $23 billion deal reached during Saudi King Salman’s visit to Egypt in April.

“The Saudi Aramco company verbally informed the General Petroleum Corporation earlier this month that it would halt its supplies for October, without offering any reasons,” ministry spokesman Hamdy Abdel Aziz told AFP

Egypt angered its ally on Saturday by voting in favour of a Russian-drafted resolution on the conflict in Syria, which Saudi Arabia had strongly opposed.

Riyadh had backed a French text, which was vetoed by Moscow, that would have demanded an end to airstrikes on rebel-held areas of Syria’s battleground city of Aleppo.

But Abdel Aziz insisted that Aramco’s decision came before the Security Council vote and was unrelated.

“Aramco told us about the issue before the Security Council meeting. This is a commercial issue and not political. It is normal for some shipments to be late,” he said.

Abdel Aziz did not elaborate on when he expected Aramco to resume shipments but insisted: “The deal with Saudi is ongoing.”

Aramco’s shipments represent 40 percent of refined oil products imported by Egypt, according to Abdel Aziz.

Saudi Arabia has supported Cairo with billions of dollars in aid, grants, oil products and cash deposits since Sisi overthrew Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in 2013.

The grants represent a main pillar in Egypt’s foreign reserves, which stood at $19.59 billion at the end of September, its highest in over a year.

The two governments have had some differences over the Syrian conflict and over Egypt’s unwillingness to send ground troops to join the Saudi-led coalition fighting rebels in Yemen.

But Saudi Arabia’s UN envoy, Abdullah al-Muallimi, expressed dismay at Saturday’s UN vote by Egypt.

“It was painful for the Senegalese and Malaysian positions to be closer to the Arab consensus than that of the Arab representative,” he told Al-Jazeera television.

“This obviously was painful. But obviously the question should be directed to Egypt’s ambassador.”

  5. The Little Jewish Village That Makes Obama Boil
Between heaven, earth and the White House.

    http://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/264436/little-jewish-village-makes-obama-boil-daniel-greenfield

Halfway to the sky sits a tiny village of little white houses that has attracted the ire of the White House.

The village of Amona with its small white houses and red roofs could easily be mistaken for some lost Italian village or a dusty California town. But the White House would not have “boiled in anger”, as one anonymous official claimed, over the doings of some Italian village.

There’s only one place on earth that makes Obama’s blood boil. It isn’t Iran or North Korea. It’s Israel.

Amona’s small scattering of houses have a fraction of the square footage of the White House. The 40 families living there in defiance of Islamic terrorists and left-wing lawfarers would hardly be noticeable if they all crowded into the White House foyer. And yet they’ve been condemned by the State Department in more virulent tones than most Muslim dictators.

What is it about this handful of Jews caught between heaven and earth that outrages so many?

That may be the great question of history. It will not be solved among the sheep pens and orchards, the little white houses of Amona and their inhabitants, who despite the rage of the big White House, continue to go to work each day, to raise their children and to worship in the way of their ancestors.

In the official parlance of the media, Amona is a “settlement”. That is to say it dates back a mere 3,300 years to the time when Joshua, born a slave in Egypt, commanded the Jews, “’Go and walk through the land, and describe it, and come back to me, and I will cast lots for you here before the Lord in Shilo.”

  6. Trudeau: Welcoming Syrian Refugees is ‘What Makes Us Canadian’
That’s great, Justin, but what makes the refugees Canadian?

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau issued a statement this week in time for Canada’s Thanksgiving Day which emphasized that the holiday is “a time to reach out to those less fortunate – here in Canada and around the world – and lend a helping hand.” He’s talking about the more than 30,000 Syrian refugees Canada has embraced over the past year. “As these and other newcomers celebrate their first Thanksgiving in Canada,” Trudeau urged, “let us never forget that helping those in need is at the heart of what makes us Canadian.”

As CIJ News reports, since Trudeau’s government assumed power in November 2015, Canada has resettled about 32,000 Syrian refugees, “including 16,875 government-assisted refugees, 3,233 blended visa Office-referred refugees and 11,811 privately sponsored refugees.”

In his September speech at the UN General Assembly in New York, Trudeau spoke of welcoming the refugees “not as burdens, but as neighbors and friends, as new Canadians.” He described them as white-collar professionals who were forced to leave their homes and find shelter in refugee camps in the neighboring countries. “Doctors and lawyers. Teachers and entrepreneurs. They’re well educated. They work hard. They care about their families. They want a better life—a safer and more secure future for their kids—as we all do.”

In an interview with Bloomberg News, Trudeau reiterated his confidence that the refugees will boost the country’s economic growth because many of them are “pharmacists and bankers and professionals.”

  7. Green Party’s Stein: Hillary Clinton With Nukes ‘Much Scarier’ Than Donald Trump

    http://www.breitbart.com/video/2016/10/12/green-partys-stein-hillary-clinton-with-nukes-much-scarier-than-donald-trump/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+breitbart+%28Breitbart+News%29

Wednesday in an appearance on CSPAN, Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein offered an omnious prediction of what a Hillary Clinton presidency might look like.

According to Stein, should Clinton be elected, nuclear war with Russia could be a possibility.

“It is now Hillary Clinton that wants to start an air war with Russia over Syria by calling for a no-fly zone,” Stein said. “We have 2000 nuclear missiles on hair-trigger alert. They are saying we are closer to a nuclear war than we have ever been. Under Hillary Clinton, we could slide into nuclear war very quickly from her declared policy in Syria.

“I sure won’t sleep well at night if Donald Trump is elected, but I sure won’t sleep well at night if Hillary Clinton elected. We have another choice other than these two candidates who are both promoting lethal policies,” she continued. “On the issue of war and nuclear weapons, it is actually Hillary’s policies which are much scarier than Donald Trump who does not want to go to war with Russia. He wants to seek modes of working together, which is the route that we need to follow not to go into confrontation and nuclear war with Russia.”

  10. HUMA ABEDIN

Huma Abedin was born in 1976 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Her father, Syed Abedin (1928-1993), was an Indian-born scholar who in the early 1970s had been affiliated with the Muslim Students Association at Western Michigan University.

Huma’s mother, Saleha Mahmood Abedin, is a sociologist known for her strong advocacy of Sharia Law. A member of the Muslim Sisterhood (i.e., the Muslim Brotherhood’s division for women), Saleha is also a board member of the International Islamic Council for Dawa and Relief. This pro-Hamas entity is part of the Union of Good, which the U.S. government has formally designated as an international terrorist organization led by the Muslim Brotherhood luminary Yusuf al-Qaradawi.

When Huma was two, the Abedin family relocated from Michigan to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This move took place when Abdullah Omar Naseef, a major Muslim Brotherhood figure who served as vice president of Abdulaziz University (AU), recruited his former AU colleague, Syed Abedin, to work for the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs (IMMA), a Saudi-based Islamic think tank that Naseef was preparing to launch. A number of years later, Naseef would develop close ties to Osama bin Laden and the terrorist group al Qaeda. Naseef also spent time (beginning in the early 1980s) as secretary-general of the Muslim World League, which, as journalist Andrew C. McCarthy points out, “has long been the Muslim Brotherhood’s principal vehicle for the international propagation of Islamic supremacist ideology.” IMMA’s close ties to the Muslim World League are further evidenced by the fact that IMMA’s in-house publication, the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs (JMMA), has long listed its official address as 46 Goodge Street in London — precisely the same address as that of the Muslim World League’s London office. In one noteworthy article written by Abedin’s mother, JMMA blamed America for having brought the 9/11 attacks upon itself. Another JMMA piece, from 1999, alleged that Jewish Americans who were pro-Israel had been able to “work the [political] system” in the United States to their own advantage, and had been “greatly aided by the American memory of the Holocaust.”

  11. Germany, Morocco to Boost Cooperation on Migration & Security Issues (moroccoworldnews, Oct 13, 2016)
    https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2016/10/198842/germany-morocco-boost-cooperation-migration-security-issues/

“Moroccan Interior minister, Mohamed Hassad, held talks Wednesday in Berlin with his German counterpart Thomas de Maizière. Talks focused on the means to boost bilateral cooperation in the areas of migration and security.

On this occasion, Hassad expressed Morocco’s will to strengthen its cooperation with Germany in security and migration issues.

Hassad announced the forthcoming signing with Germany of an agreement that covers all aspects of cooperation on security issues, including the fight against money laundering, organized crime, drugs trafficking and terrorism.

Morocco’s Cooperation with Germany in the fight against terrorism “will continue to improve to reach similar levels to those we have reached with other countries like Spain,” he added.

Regarding illegal immigration, the minister said that his visit to Germany reaffirms Morocco’s will to ease the return of illegal immigrants, particularly those who entered the German territory in the context of the migration crisis following the situation in Syria.

It is, however, a complex operation as the people concerned do not have identity documents and often argue that they are of a particular nationality, he noted, adding that a team of Moroccan experts will work with German teams to address all aspects related to this issue so that the situation of Moroccans who are legally established in Germany is not affected by the behavior of some people who claim to be Moroccans.

In his turn, the German Minister said talks focused on the means to boost bilateral cooperation in security issues through a bilateral agreement to be signed shortly. The German official voiced his country’s will to develop cooperation with Morocco through joint operations in the fight against terrorism and organized crime.

He added that thousands of Moroccans live in Germany legally and are perfectly integrated, noting that their situation should not be influenced by the behaviors of a minority of illegal immigrants”

“French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said Thursday Italy must identify all migrants and asylum seekers that reach its soil as a matter of collective security.

All migrants who arrive on Italian soil must be properly registered through the appropriate EU hotspots set up for the purpose, said Cazeneuve on the sidelines of the EU Justice and Home Affairs Council meeting Thursday.

“It’s unthinkable to imagine that some migrants arrive on Italian soil without having passed through the hotspots – this poses security risks,” Cazeneuve said.

“If we want to offer dignified reception to those who need protection, we have to carry out what was decided, that is, identification of migrants upon their arrival at the hotspots, everywhere, especially in Italy and Greece,” he said.

Italy and Greece are the first European landfall for asylum seekers leaving from Africa and the Middle East.”

    http://gulfnews.com/news/mena/iraq/iraq-summons-turkish-ambassador-to-protest-troop-presence-1.1912323

“Baghdad: The Iraqi foreign ministry summoned the Turkish ambassador on Thursday to protest the continued presence of Turkish troops in northern Iraq without Baghdad’s permission, a ministry spokesman said.

Turkish troops are deployed in the Bashiqa area near the Daesh-held city of Mosul, and Turkey’s prime minister has said that they will stay despite Baghdad’s demands that they be withdrawn.

The Turkish ambassador was given “a strongly worded formal note of protest” regarding “the continued presence of Turkish forces near Bashiqa and recent abusive statements from their leadership,” spokesman Ahmad Jamal said.

Earlier this week, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al Abadi to “know your place,” and said that he is “not on my level.”

And Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said last week that the country’s forces would stay “no matter what the Iraqi government in Baghdad says.”

Al Abadi has repeatedly demanded that the Turkish troops be withdrawn and said that they will not take part in the impending operation to recapture Mosul from the Daesh terror group.

“The day of victory is near,” Al Abadi’s office said in a statement. “We won’t be discouraged by those who want to deter us from our fundamental goal and thrust us into a media war.”

The US State Department issued a statement earlier this week that implicitly backed Iraq’s position, saying that: “We believe all international forces in Iraq should be there with the approval of and in coordination with the government of Iraq.”..”

  17. Indian Muslims say Modi’s legal reforms divisive (gulfnews, Oct 13, 2016)
    http://gulfnews.com/news/asia/india/indian-muslims-say-modi-s-legal-reforms-divisive-1.1912292

“New Delhi: An influential Indian Muslim group on Thursday accused the country’s Hindu nationalist prime minister of triggering an “internal war” with plans to introduce a common civil code for all religions.

The Indian constitution currently allows the country’s 1.2 billion citizens to be governed by their own religious laws when it comes to marriage, divorce and property inheritance.

But Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government wants bring in a common civil code that it says will enhance national unity.

On Thursday the All India Muslim Personal Law Board said they would block any attempt to abolish Islamic family laws.

“You can’t impose a single ideology in India. Modi has triggered an internal war in India,” Maulana Wali Rahmani, head of AIMPLB, told reporters at a press conference in New Delhi.

“A uniform civil code is not good for India, which has many cultures and religions. It will divide India,” he said.

India’s Law Commission has sought public feedback on a common law that would ban polygamy and triple talaq divorce.

The development comes days after the Union government told the Supreme Court that triple talaq and polygamy were not integral to the practice of Islam or essential religious practices.

Calling the questionnaire “misleading and divisive”, Rahmani said Muslims will not respond to it.

“We will boycott this questionnaire. No Muslim will respond to it because it is misleading and deceitful. The Uniform Civil Code is divisive and will lead to social unrest,” he told media persons here.

“The uniform code is not suited for this nation. There are so many cultures in India and they have to be respected. A uniform code is against the spirit of the Constitution, which safeguards the right of citizens to practise their culture and religion,” he said.

Questioning the timing of the move, Rahmani said the Narendra Modi government had deliberately thrown up this issue now to “hide its failures in the last two-and-half years”.

The commission said the objective was to “address discrimination against vulnerable groups and harmonise various cultural practises.”

Muslim personal law has long been a controversial issue in India.

Some Indian Muslim women have in recent years launched legal challenges to triple talaq, which they say discriminates against them and violates their human rights.

A case in the mid-1980s involving Muslim woman Shah Bano, who took her rejected demand for alimony to the Supreme Court, triggered debate across India over whether the court had authority over Muslim personal law.

The court upheld her right to alimony, but its verdict was reversed by a law passed by the then-Congress party government after Muslim groups reacted angrily.

Any attempt since then to bring a common civil code has proved deeply divisive in the officially secular but mainly Hindu country.

Other prominent Muslims who represented their respective organisations at the press conference here included Maulana Arshad Madani (Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind), Mohammad Jafar (Jamaat-e-Islami Hind), Maulana Asghar Imam Mehdi (Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith), Maulana Mahmood Madani (Jamiat Ulema Hind), M. Manzoor Alam (All India Milli Council), Naved Hamid (All India Majlis-e-Mushawarat) and Maulana Abul Qasim Naumani (Rector, Darul Uloom Deoband).

Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind President Maulana Arshad Madani said: “The Muslim Personal Law is based on Quran and Hadith and we cannot alter it.”

“Modi-ji (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) wants to impose dictatorship in the name of democracy,” he added.”

  19. US slams Pakistan for linking peace in Afghanistan to Kashmir peace (khaama, Oct 13, 2016)
    http://www.khaama.com/us-slams-pakistan-for-linking-peace-in-afghanistan-to-kashmir-peace-02069

“The United States has slammed Pakistan for linking the Afghan peace and stability to the resolution of Kashmir issue, it has been reported.

Peter Lavoy, the White House’s point person for South Asia, made the remarks during a rare appearance before a Washington audience.

“We certainly do not believe that the situation in Afghanistan is linked with Kashmir,” Lavoy was quoted as saying in a report by The Times of India.

The top White House official also supported India’s ‘right to self-defense’ in the aftermath of the Uri attack and dubbed it a ‘clear case of cross-border terrorism’.

“It (Uri) was a clear case of cross-border terrorism. We condemned this act of terrorism. It was a horrific attack. Every country has a right to self-defense. But in a heavily militarised relationship that has also experienced three wars, there is indeed a need for caution and restraint,” he said responding to a question on the Uri attack.

Lavoy further added “We share with India, the concern for preventing any future attack. We empathise with the Indian position that it needs to respond militarily to cross-border threat of terrorism. But we also advise caution.”

The remarks by the top White House official came as a Pakistani envoy linked peace in Afghanistan to the resolution of Kashmir issue as the Afghan officials are pessimistic regarding Islamabad’s honesty to bring the Taliban group to negotiations table.

Pakistan Prime Minister’s special envoy on Kashmir Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed said “Road to peace in Kabul lies in Kashmir in the sense that when you talk of peace, you cannot
compartmentalise peace, you can’t segregate a section… ok you can have peace in Kabul and let Kashmir burn. That is not going to happen.”

The Afghan officials earlier said that they will not expect Pakistan to help revive the Afghan peace talks with the Taliban group.

Efforts in the framework of Quadrilateral Coordination Group consisting of Afghanistan, Pakistan, US and China failed after the Taliban group rejected to participate in peace talks and announced their spring offensive.

The Afghan officials criticized Pakistan for remaining reluctant to act against the leadership councils of Taliban and Haqqani terrorist network based in Peshawar and Quetta cities of Pakistan.”

“PRO-migrant protests planned to take place in Calais have been BANNED after violent clashes between police, refugees and demonstrators.

Pas-de-Calais prefecture officials have banned the demonstration on grounds it posed a possible “risk to public order” and would encourage aggressive behaviour.

The ban includes all protests against the imminent dismantlement of the Calais ‘Jungle’ refugee camp, which could happen as early as next week.

Friday’s rally had been organised by the International Coalition of Undocumented People and Migrants (CISPM), a pro-immigrant charity based at the Calais camp, and was due to kick off in the city centre, a location which would have drawn thousands to join the protest.

This is the second time that local officials cancelled a CISPM-led demonstration – on October 1, another mass meeting had been organised by the charity.

Its members, ignoring the ban, sent hundreds of Parisian protestors to Calais: more than 200 people were stopped in their tracks and ordered to head back to the capital by the police.

But later that afternoon, hundreds of pro-migrant militants decided to go ahead with the protest despite the ban, triggering an outbreak of violence.

Scores of people were wounded – including five police officers and a photographer – during the three-hour standoff between the migrants, the demonstrators, and the police.

The Calais prefecture warned that Friday’s protest could also spin into bloodshed and should therefore be banned.

The prefecture said: “Clashes between far-left and extreme-right militants will only exacerbate existing tensions over the migrant crisis.”…”

  22. ‘Those who insult Islam MUST DIE’, shocking undercover footage of former Tory candidate (express, Oct 13, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/720733/insult-islam-must-die-undercover-footage-former-Tory-candidate-ITV-Exposure

“PEOPLE who insult Islam should be put to death, a former Conservative council candidate declared in a shocking rant due to be aired on TV tonight.

Mufti Shah Sadruddin, a senior Muslim scholar, made the comments in 2013 and they have now been uncovered by a new ITV documentary.

The documentary shows Mr Sadruddin, a leading religious figure in the Jamaat-e-Ulama UK, or Council of Muslim Scholars in the UK, and in the British Bangladeshi community, criticising atheists who he said had insulted Islam, in particular a Bangladeshi blogger.

Mr Sadruddin, who now runs the Al-Ashraaf Secondary School in Ilford, said: “He said: “He is a bastard, a traitor and a shameless person. Child of a hypocrite, he swore at my Prophet.

“This son of a bastard is challenging us!

“O’ Bangla’s scholars, O’ Bangla’s Muslims, wake up. No son of a bastard will remain alive after swearing at my Prophet!”

The comments were made at a rally held in the wake of the death of another Bangladeshi blogger Ahmed Rajib Haider, who made jokes about Islamic beliefs and took part in protests calling for the execution of convicted Islamist war criminals.

At similar rallies in Bangladesh at the time, Islamists were using the term ‘atheist’ to attack the secular government and the protesters.

Mr Sadruddin, the rector of a secondary school, ran for election as a Conservative councillor, portraying himself as liberal, tolerant and opposed to hatred.

He failed to win his seat in Newham in 2014’s local elections.

In a video filmed in the run-up to the Newham election, he said: “I believe in equality, in fairness, I believe in loving the human race and I hate to hate anybody.”

When approached by Exposuree: Islam’s Non-Believers, which airs on ITV tonight at 10.40pm, Mr Sadruddin said that his speeches did not incite hatred, there was no intention to promote violence and he had specifically said “our jihad will be non-violent”.

The Conservatives were approached for a response but did not comment.

Exposure: Islam’s Non-Believers investigates the lives of ex-Muslims, who face extreme discrimination, ostracism, psychological abuse and violence as a result of leaving Islam.

Some are at risk of suicide, or self-harm, or have been physically and psychologically abused by their closest family members. Most are terrified of being shunned by their own family and friends if their true beliefs become known.

Some of those who speak in the programme have asked to remain anonymous for fear of reprisals.

The film follows the Council of Ex-Muslims of Britain, a volunteer support groupwhich supports ex-Muslims, often referred to as apostates or unbelievers, both in the UK and abroad.

Dr Omer El-Hamdoon from the Muslim Association of Britain says people can leave the religion of their own free will and should not be punished.

But he says it is not surprising that those who do leave are shunned.

He said: “The Muslim community is a community based on religion, so if a person chooses to stop being a Muslim they can’t really expect that the Muslim community is still going to say to them, ‘You are still part of our community.’”

The programme also reports on how the danger for ex-Muslims who live in Islamic countries can be even higher.

Apostasy carries the death penalty in a dozen Islamic countries.

In Iran, Christian converts have been threatened with flogging for drinking Holy Communion wine.

It is not illegal for Christians to drink alcohol in Iran but under Islamic law, Muslims are forbidden from drinking and it is illegal for Muslims to convert.

Many people faint after eight strokes due to the severe pain of the corporal punishment.

Yasser Mossayebzadeh, Saheb Fadaie and Mohammad Reza Omidi are due in court later this month.

Atheists face a double threat – persecution by their own government, and the risk of murder at the hands of Islamist gangs.

Arif Rahman, a Bangladeshi blogger now in hiding in London, says he sees bloggers as a resistance movement against religious extremism.

He said: “When we started writing in 2006, we did not think the people would be killed over this. And in 2013 our first colleague Ahmed Rajab Haidar, he was an architect, was hacked to death in front of his house. That was the first time we realised this was real this could potentially happen.”

Exposure: Islam’s Non-Believers is on ITV at 10.40pm this evening.”

“Terrorists in Aleppo are ‘forcefully’ enrolling 14-year-old conscripts amid a lack of reinforcements in the city’s east, according to Russia’s General Staff.

During a press briefing, the chief of the main operations department of Russia’s General Staff, Sergey Rudskoy, said that terrorists in the war-ravaged city have started a new wave of mobilization, which includes teenagers.

“The leaders of militant groups continue to hide behind inexperienced fighters launching a new wave of mobilization in east Aleppo and enroll teenagers at the age of 14 years,” Rudskoy said…”

“Although the battle for one of the major Syrian cities, Aleppo, is not over yet, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has apparently been planning its next major offensive that, an unnamed SAA source said, is likely to take place in the provinces of Idlib, Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa. Journalist Evgeny Krutikov assessed potential pros and cons of each option.

“All three areas are at the same time extremely appealing and highly risky,” he wrote for the Russian newspaper Vzglyad…”

  25. Assad: No Difference Between Free Syrian Army, Daesh, Nusra Front (sputniknews, Oct 14, 2016)
    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201610141046316287-daesh-free-syrian-army/

“There is no difference between the Daesh and Jabhat Fatah al Sham (also known as al-Nusra Front, or Jabhat al-Nusra) terrorist groups and the Free Syrian Army, Syrian President Bashar Assad has stressed.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The Daesh and the Jabhat Fatah al Sham groups are banned in Russia and are considered terrorist organizations by numerous other countries.

“When terrorists came to Syria, if we talk about the start of the problem, nobody was talking about al-Nusra or ISIS [Daesh] back then. They were simply called the Free Syrian Army, an allegedly social force fighting against the government and the army. But in reality…already back then we can see the beheading of people starting from the first weeks. This means it was a radical movement from the start,” Assad told Russia’s Komsomolskaya Pravda daily.

The Free Syrian Army (FSA) was Damascus’ major challenger at the beginning of the internal conflict in Syria when it managed to unite nearly all opposition factions considered by the West to be the so-called “moderate” opposition. The FSA then split into several groups and shrank to some 60 units, which are allied to Jabhat Fatah al Sham, according to Syrian intelligence.

“When it [the Free Syrian Army] started to grow and it became impossible to hide the crimes of beheadings, the West was forced to accept the existence of al-Nusra [Jabhat Fatah al Sham]. But it is actually the Free Syrian Army. It is ISIS [IS]. They have the same roots and move from one area to another,” Assad said.”

  26. Japan to expand African military base to counter Chinese influence – report (RT, Oct 13, 2016)
    https://www.rt.com/news/362702-japan-expand-african-military/

“Japan is seeking to expand its military base in Djibouti, east Africa, in response to Chinese influence in the region.

Speaking to Reuters, government sources have confirmed that they are asking permission from the local authorities to expand the territory of a base used by the Japanese Self-Defense Forces (SDF).

“In addition to the land Japan has borrowed, it is considering leasing the neighboring land to its east,” an official told Reuters. “Japan is now in negotiations with Djibouti government.”

The 30-acre facility, located next to the US Camp Lemonnier base, is the SDF’s first outside of Japan and was established in 2011 to help monitor piracy in the Gulf of Aden, off the coast of Somalia. Manned by a force of 180 troops, the base has also played host to a number of exercises, including joint drills with the Americans. The expansion of the base will be justified by the need to have takeoff and landing sites for aircraft in order to evacuate Japanese citizens in case of a regional emergency.

However, the sources also told Reuters the proposed expansion is driven by a need to counter the growing influence of China, which has been investing heavily in Africa. Last year, Chinese President Xi Jinping pledged $60 billion to help fund infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture and development on the continent. In turn, Japan has pledged $30 billion for similar projects in August.

“China is putting money into new infrastructure and raising its presence in Djibouti, and it is necessary for Japan gain more influence,” another Japanese official told to Reuters…”
