    • jihadwatch :Washington state: Turkish Muslim, Arcan Cetin, arrested for murder of five people inside Cascade Mall

The initial reports about this killer said he was “Hipanic.” From the photos of him that were released, that always seemed to be more politically correct wishful thinking than reality.

Arcan Cetin’s Facebook page says he is from Adana, Turkey, and lives in Oak Harbor, Washington (where he was apprehended):

This may not have been jihad. There is nothing on his Facebook page to suggest he was devout, or had had a conversion. If he really called out a woman’s name, maybe it was some kind of psychopathic revenge killing or something of that kind. However, in light of the Islamic jihad attack at a Minnesota mall last week, and the jihadi threat against malls in the West, the possibility that this, too, was a jihad attack cannot be dismissed out of hand.

  3. Muslims and Christians RIOT as businesses set on fire and cars smashed (express, Sep 24, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/714040/Muslims-and-Christians-riot-Egypt-cars-smashed-businesses-on-fire-Minya

“DOZENS of men were arrested after massive brawl broke out between Muslims and Christians which saw them set businesses on fire, smash cars and throw stones at each other.

The violence erupted during Eid celebrations as tensions between the two groups escalate.

Police arrested 37 men after being called out to the riot in the village of Asem, Egypt.

The fight is said to have started after two young men clashed over a donkey cart.

Gangs of men joined in smashing a car and setting fire to a hairdressers and animal enclosures before police broke up the fight and cordoned off the village.

Local MPs have intervened in an attempt to calm the chaos and have visited the village to speak to the suspects.

Police said 20 of the arrested were Muslim and 17 were Christian.

Tensions between Muslims and Christians in the Minya region have intensified with 37 attacks on Coptic Christians in three years.

In July a Christian was killed and three others injured in a stabbing after a knife fight broke out over an alleged attack on a local priest.

Months before homes were looted and set on fire as a 70-year-old woman was stripped and dragged through the street over rumours her son had an affair with a Muslim woman.

A mob of 5,000 attacked a group of Christians as they attempted to build a church in Baidaa in July.

The Egyptian government has appointed Imam Mahmoud Gomaa to keep the peace in the region as Minya Bishop Makarios said: “We are at breaking point. People can’t put up with any more of this.”

As Egyptian authorities focus on reconciliation rather than punishment, concerns have been raised the violence will continue.

President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, who became the first Egyptian leader to visit a Coptic church in January, has reportedly ordered police to hold the suspects accountable.

He has ordered the governor to work with the armed forces to repair the damage within a month.

It comes as the laws on building churches in Egypt are relaxed.

Christians no longer need permission from the President himself but instead can go to their local governor for planning permission.

But despite the government softening its stance, Egypt is classed as one of the most dangerous countries in the world for Christians…”
