  1. France: Human Rights vs. The People

On August 13, the Administrative Court in Nice, France, validated the decision of the Mayor of Cannes to prohibit wearing religious clothing on the beaches of Cannes. By “religious clothing,” the judge clearly seemed to be pointing his finger at the burkini, a body-covering bathing suit worn by many Muslim women.

These “Muslim textile affairs” reveal two types of jihad attacking France: one hard, one soft. The hard jihad, internationally known, consists of assassinating journalists of Charlie Hebdo (January 2015), Jewish people at the Hypercacher supermarket (January 2015) and young people at the Bataclan Theater, restaurants and the Stade de France (November 2015). The hard jihad also included stabbing two policeman in Magnanville, a suburb of Paris, (June 2016); truck-ramming to death 84 people in Nice on Bastille Day (July 14), and murdering a priest in the church of Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray, among other incidents. The goal of hard jihad, led by ISIS, al-Qaeda, and others, is to impose sharia by terror.

  2. Charlotte Burning
Soros-funded Black Lives Matter inflicts its terror in a sleepy Southern city.

Black Lives Matter rioters claiming systemic racial discrimination is killing black people have laid siege to largely black Charlotte, North Carolina, after a black cop who reports to a black police chief shot and killed a black suspect who reportedly refused to drop his handgun.

With Election Day only weeks away, it is possible the chaos in the Tarheel State is part of a left-wing get-out-the-vote effort to foment unrest in the state’s black communities. Remember that Democrat Barack Obama narrowly won the vitally important battleground state in 2008 and narrowly lost it in 2012.

It is entirely possible that the whole exercise in civil unrest was engineered or at least exacerbated by professional left-wingers trying to win the state for Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Riots, of course, are the stock in trade of radical speculator George Soros, the preeminent funder of the Left who has given generously to Black Lives Matter. Soros has a long history of underwriting violence and civil unrest not just in America but all over the world.

Black Lives Matter ringleader DeRay Mckesson describes rioting as “a cry for justice.” He told Yale students that “looting for me isn’t violent, it’s an expression of anger,” and that “The act of looting is political. Another way to dissolve consent. Pressing you to no longer keep me out of this space, by destroying it.”

  3. Trump Picking Up Support Among Jewish and Catholic New Yorkers

nteresting numbers, though New York is demographically unworkable. The latest Siena numbers show Trump tying Hillary among white New Yorkers within the margin of error. But that doesn’t much matter due to the demographics. Some other numbers are interesting as well.

A new poll shows Clinton’s favorability has recently dipped among Jewish voters in New York, although she still has an overall lead in the community and in the state. The study conducted last week by Siena College Research Institute showed Clinton’s lead sliding from 51 percent in August to 45 percent, while Trump’s support grew from 25 percent to 31 percent among Jewish voters.

Overall, the Siena poll shows Clinton has a significant lead, especially among the African and Latino communities, where she has over 80 percent in favor of her.

  4. Jewish Neighbors of Muslim Bomber Worry About Muslim Expansion
    September 22, 2016
    Daniel Greenfield

You may not be interested in the Jihad, but the Jihad is very much interested in you. And it’s coming… wherever you are.

The market is a couple minutes’ walk down Elmora Avenue from First American Fried Chicken, the fast food restaurant run by Rahami’s family. Rahami stopped by a couple times, employees told Yaakov Weiss, who manages the market and works at the adjacent kosher restaurant, Avenue Grill and Sushi. Another employee recognized him from the picture in the news.

Members of the Orthodox Jewish community in Elizabeth, which has four Orthodox synagogues, were shaken but not surprised by the attacks. And while some said the bombings make the case for limiting the number of Muslim refugees entering the United States, they did not blame the local Muslim community for the attacks or suggest that their attitude toward their Muslim neighbors would change.

“Because it happened so close to home, I feel more vulnerable, just with a yeshiva and synagogue and another yeshiva and another school down the block,” said June Fooksman, whose 10-year-old daughter attends the Jewish Educational Center, a network of Orthodox day schools also located on Elmora Avenue. “I’m just going to believe that we’re going to be watched over. God’s gonna watch, and what is meant to be is going to be.”

  5. Clinton Foundation Sent Bad Drugs to Third World
    September 22, 2016
    Daniel Greenfield

Every time you think that the Clintons can’t get any lower, they get lower and then lower still. And then they find a sewer below it to swim in. Do you think the Clintons have gotten as low as it’s possible for human beings to get?

Grifters gotta grift. And monsters have to do things like this.

The CHAI program to help AIDS victims is considered one of the Clinton Foundation’s most important contributions and is probably its best known initiative.

The congressional report focused on Clinton’s decade-long relationship with a controversial Indian drug manufacturer called Ranbaxy, which CHAI used as one of its main distributors of HIV/AIDS drugs to Third World countries.

It also highlighted the work of Dinesh Thakur, a former Ranbaxy employee who became a star whistleblower, permitting the U.S. government to launch a landmark lawsuit against the Indian firm. The company was vulnerable to U.S. prosecution because it also sold its generic drugs on the U.S. market.

Ranbaxy ultimately pleaded guilty in 2013 to seven criminal counts with intent to defraud and the introduction of adulterated drugs into interstate commerce.

The possibility that CHAI distributed adulterated and diluted AIDS drugs to Third World victims could shake the foundations of the Clinton charity and spark a new round of scrutiny in the final weeks of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

The most troubling revelations concern the Clinton Foundation’s vigorous promotion of Ranbaxy despite mounting evidence the Indian firm had persistently poor quality control and attempted to cover it up through either faulty or fraudulent reporting to the FDA.

  6. Weaponized Immigration
Suicide is not an act of compassion.

The United States is at war with international terrorists, who, as the 9/11 Commission noted, must first enter the United States in order to attack it.

Consider the preface of the official government report, “9/11 and Terrorist Travel: Staff Report of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States” that begins with the following paragraph:

It is perhaps obvious to state that terrorists cannot plan and carry out attacks in the United States if they are unable to enter the country. Yet prior to September 11, while there were efforts to enhance border security, no agency of the U.S. government thought of border security as a tool in the counterterrorism arsenal. Indeed, even after 19 hijackers demonstrated the relative ease of obtaining a U.S. visa and gaining admission into the United States, border security still is not considered a cornerstone of national security policy. We believe, for reasons we discuss in the following pages, that it must be made one.

Furthermore, although much has been made of the lack of integrity with respect to the U.S./Mexican border, the 9/11 Commission Staff Report on Terrorist Travel observed that most terrorists had entered the United States through international airports and then committed visa fraud and immigration benefit fraud to embed themselves in the country.

Page 54 of the report contained this excerpt under the title “3.2 Terrorist Travel Tactics by Plot,” which makes these issues crystal clear:

    • I have been aware of the McCarran – Walter Act of 1952 for quite some time. This is a comment I found around the beginning of the year and thought it covered the McCarran – Walter Act of 1952 quite well. Have added several references and links.

      McCARRAN-WALTER ACT OF 1952
Here’s an interesting historic fact that would seem to indicate that many, if not most, of the people we elect to go to Washington don’t have the slightest idea of what laws already exist. It’s been law for over 60 years… MacCarran-Walter Act of 1952
Trump was recently severely criticized for suggesting that the U.S. should limit or temporarily suspend the immigration of certain ethnic groups, nationalities, and even people of certain religions (Muslims). The criticisms condemned such a suggestion as, among other things, being “Un-American,” dumb, stupid, reckless, dangerous and racist. Congressmen and Senators swore that they would never allow such legislation, and the president called such a prohibition on immigration unconstitutional.
As Gomer Pyle would say, “Surprise, Surprise!” It seems that the selective immigration ban is already law and has been applied on several occasions. Known as the McCarran-Walter Act, the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 allows for the “Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by the President. Whenever the President finds that the entry of aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, the President may, by Proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or non-immigrants or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”
The act was utilized by Jimmy Carter in 1979 to keep Iranians out of the United States, but he actually did more. He made all Iranian students already here check in, and then he deported a bunch. Seven thousand were found in violation of their visas, and 15,000 Iranians were forced to leave the United States in 1979. It is of note that the act requires that an applicant for immigration must be of good moral character and “attached to the Principles of the Constitution.” Technically, since it could be argued that the meaning of certain loyalty statements in the Quran (Qur’an or Koran) and by imams allegedly forbid Muslims to swear allegiance to the U.S. Constitution, all Muslims who adhere to that prohibition should be refused immigration. Their answer should be entered into the record before immigration is further considered.
      See: http://library.uwb.edu/static/USimmigration/1952_immigration_and_nationality_act.HTML
Otherwise known as the McCarran-Walter Act, the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 was meant to exclude certain immigrants from immigrating to America following World War II and in the early Cold War. It focused upon denying immigrants who were unlawful, immoral, diseased in any way, politically radical etc. and accepting those who were willing and able to assimilate into the US economic, social, and political structures, and restructured how immigration law was handled. Furthermore, the most notable exclusions were to block any spread of communism, as well as favor “good Asian” countries such as China. The McCarran-Walter Act was a strong reinforcement in immigration selection, which was labeled the best way to preserve national security and national interests. President Truman originally vetoed the law, deeming it discriminatory; however there was enough support in Congress for the law to pass.

  7. Invisible Reports on Black-on-White Violence
Reflections on the white victims the media never told you about.
    September 22, 2016
    Jack Kerwick

An “unarmed” black man, Terence Crutcher, has been fatally shot by police officers in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In the wake of this event, “anger mounts.”

In North Carolina, on Tuesday night, black thugs—“protesters”—besieged Charlotte’s Finest with rocks, bottles, and traffic cones and shut down the interstate after a black police officer shot and killed another “unarmed” black man, Keith Lamont Scott.

In spite of its predictability, or perhaps because of it, the response on the part of black activists (and their non-black collaborators) to police shootings of black suspects remains telling. A person of Middle Eastern or African descent shouts praise to Allah while hacking, stabbing, or shooting his victims, and yet everyone from the President to the most dimwitted of media personalities purports to be ignorant as to the perpetrator’s motive.

However, whenever news breaks of a violent confrontation between the police and black men, we see none of this reluctance on the part of these same folks to cast premature pronouncements—even though their track record on such events is abysmal. Whether it is the cases of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Eric Garner, or Freddie Gray, the same cast of characters rushed to judgment only to have the facts prove them epically wrong.

Still, the agents of the Racism-Industrial-Complex (RIC) continue to persist in their arrogance.

    • AP EXCLUSIVE: Text of Syria cease-fire deal

The following is the text of the Syria cease-fire agreement reached by the United States and Russia on Sept. 9, 2016.

While the truce appears to have all but collapsed amid Syrian government and rebel violations, Washington and Moscow say they’re committed to trying to revive the deal.

When the agreement was struck, the former Cold War foes decided to keep it confidential. Other powers, such as France, have complained about the secrecy.

Both the U.S. and Russia in recent days have spoken of making the document public. The Associated Press obtained a copy of the agreement. The document is time-stamped Sept. 9 at 10 p.m.

Reducing Violence, Restoring Access and Establishing the JIC

The Russian Federation and the United States (hereafter – “the Sides”) intend to undertake joint efforts to stabilize the situation in Syria, with special measures for the Aleppo region. Delineation of territories controlled by ISIL, “Jabhat Al-Nusra,” and moderate armed opposition forces remains a key priority, as does separating moderate opposition forces from Nusra.

The Sides will designate a date and time at which the following measures will go into effect (designated as Day “D”).

      1. On Day “D,” all parties to the cessation of hostilities (CoH) in Syria will recommit to the CoH and honor its terms in full, as set forth in the February 22, 2016 Joint Declaration of the Russian Federation and the United States, for a 48 hour period. In particular, these terms include: ceasing all attacks with any weapons, including aerial bombardments, rockets, mortars, and anti-tank guided missiles; refraining from acquiring or seeking to acquire territory from other parties to the CoH; allowing humanitarian agencies rapid, safe, unhindered and sustained access throughout areas under their operational control and allowing immediate humanitarian assistance to reach all people in need; employing proportionate use of force (i.e. no greater than required to address an immediate threat) if and when responding in self-defense. The Sides will agree and inform all parties as to the date and time for “Day D.”

      2. On D+2, if the CoH in Syria has continued to hold to the mutual satisfaction of the Sides, they will extend it for a mutually agreed upon period of time. Subsequently, the Sides may decide to extend the CoH indefinitely, under the same terms. The Sides will use their influence with the parties to fully honor the terms of the CoH.

      3. Special measures will also go into effect for the Castello Road area in Aleppo (as defined by mutually determined coordinates), specifically:

      a. Beginning Day D, and even prior to the establishment of checkpoints on the Castello road, humanitarian assistance will be delivered consistent with the terms of the CoH and established UN procedures, and in coordination with relevant UN representatives. At the Turkish border, the UN Monitoring Mission (UNMM) will continue to inspect and seal the trucks designated for delivery of humanitarian assistance via Castello Road to Eastern Aleppo. The seals will not be broken and the trucks will not be opened by any authority between the point of their review and sealing in Turkey and the point of their unloading at UN and its partners’ warehouses in east and west Aleppo.

      b. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) (or another agreed upon third party) will operate as soon as possible two checkpoints (at agreed upon locations) to verify that, until the UNOPS (or another agreed upon third party) checkpoints are established as clearly described below in this paragraph, only trucks inspected by the UNMM are transiting the road, and that the seals have not been broken. A small detachment of no more than twenty armed personnel per shift provided by, and mutually acceptable to, the government and opposition forces, will provide security for the SARC personnel at the checkpoints on the western and eastern ends of the Castello Road, respectively. The UN will monitor (by physical presence or remotely) the activities of all personnel at the checkpoints. These SARC-manned checkpoints and physical security for them will be handed over to independent, international personnel under the direction of UNOPS (or another agreed upon third party), as soon as they can be deployed. These internationally-managed checkpoints will provide for the phased-in unrestricted movement of all humanitarian, commercial and civilian traffic on Castello Road, as well as the non-use of the road for the transport of weapons (in accordance with procedures to be developed). Phasing will proceed as quickly as possible, when those managing the checkpoints assess, in consultation with the UN and the Sides, that they have the capabilities to accommodate the traffic in a safe and orderly manner.

      c. Simultaneous with the establishment of the SARC (or another agreed upon third party) checkpoints indicated in 3(b), pro-government forces and opposition units will pull back simultaneously from Castello Road, and the vacated area will be considered a “demilitarized zone.”

      Specifically, pro-government forces will:

      —Pull back heavy weapons such as armored fighting vehicles and infantry fighting vehicles (other than BTR-60 and BMP-1 without ATGM), tanks, artillery, and mortars, to a distance of 3,500m north of the road;

      —Pull back crew-served machine guns, BTR-60 and BMP-1 without ATGM to a distance of 2,500m north of the road;

      —Pull back all personnel, other than those present at two observation posts, to a distance of 1,000m north of the road armed with only small arms or light machine guns;

      —On the south side of the road, pull back all personnel, weapons and equipment to a distance of 500m from the road;

      —Establish up to two observation posts no less than 500m north of Castello road. The locations will be mutually agreed upon, depending on terrain, with a staff of up to 15 persons equipped with small arms only for self-defense and observation equipment;

—Not impede any humanitarian, civilian and commercial traffic transiting Castello Road; and

—Not occupy areas that opposition groups vacate or set up positions in the demilitarized zone, other than the observation posts.

Opposition forces will simultaneously undertake the following actions:

      —On the eastern end of Castello Road on the agreed-upon map (to be determined), the opposition will operate depending on the actions of the Kurdish militia units: if the Kurds are present north of Castello Road, the opposition will remain in place; if the Kurds pull back 500m south of Castello Road, the vacated area will be considered to be demilitarized and the opposition groups will pull back 500m north of the road;

—On the western end of Castello Road (on the line of contact extending north from the Castello shopping complex), the opposition pullback will be conducted analogous to the withdrawal of pro-government forces enumerated above.

—Opposition groups located in the 31/15 quadrant of the Russian-provided map, to the north of the Castello shopping complex, will:

      —Pull back heavy weapons such as armored fighting vehicles and infantry fighting vehicles (other than BTR-60 and BMP-1 without ATGM), tanks, artillery, and mortars, to a distance of 3,000m north;

      —Pull back crew-served machine guns, BTR-60 and BMP-1 without ATGM to a distance of 2,500m north;

      —Pull back all personnel to a distance of 1,000m north with only small arms or light machine guns;

      —Along the portion of the road that runs from the Castello shopping complex to near the Layramoun Circle, the opposition groups will pull back personnel and weapons to 500m north of Castello Road. This mirrors the pullback of pro-regime forces to 500m south of the Castello Road between those points;

      —Not impede any humanitarian, civilian and commercial traffic transiting Castello Road;

—Will not occupy areas that pro-regime forces vacate or set up positions in the demilitarized zone, other than the observation posts; and

    • The opposition will make every effort to prevent Nusra forces from advancing into the demilitarized zone from opposition-held areas adjacent to it.

      d. Any Syrians can leave Aleppo via Castello Road, including armed opposition forces with their weapons, with the understanding that no harm will come to them and they can choose their destination. Opposition forces leaving Aleppo with weapons must coordinate ahead of time with UN representatives as to the time they will be using Castello Road and the number of personnel and weapons and military equipment departing. It is also understood that no harm will come to civilians or to opposition forces who abide by the CoH and who choose to remain in Aleppo.

      e. Any reported violations of the demilitarized zone by any party will be addressed by the United States and Russia. In the event of a penetration of the demilitarized zone by fighters from Nusra after the JIC has been established, the United States and Russia will act in accordance with the provisions of the JIC Terms of Reference (ToR).

      f. On Day D, both pro-government forces and opposition groups in the Ramouseh gap will provide safe, unhindered and sustainable humanitarian access to eastern and western Aleppo. They will also facilitate unrestricted movement of all commercial and civilian traffic on the Khan Tuman Road in the Ramouseh Gap in coordination with the UN and establish a monitoring mechanism to be agreed to by the Sides and the UN as soon as possible to ensure access is unimpeded. For this purpose, technical teams from the Sides and the UN will convene by D+4. The delivery of humanitarian assistance will be consistent with the terms of the CoH and established UN procedures, and in coordination with relevant UN representatives. Neither the opposition groups nor pro-government forces will launch attacks within the area indicated in the attached map, and according to the corresponding geo-coordinates (hereinafter referred to as the “area”). Neither the opposition groups nor pro-government forces will attempt to acquire new territory from the other in the “area.”

      4. The Sides will confirm to each other that the Syrian government and opposition have agreed to adhere to the applicable obligations in the JIC’s ToR, including with respect to the Designated Areas (per geo-coordinates agreed upon by the Sides) where Syrian military aircraft cannot operate, except for agreed non-combat flights, and where the Sides will develop targets for action against Nusra.

      5. The Sides will announce the establishment of the JIC, on the basis of the ToR and Designated Areas agreed by the Sides, once measures in paragraphs 1-4 above (with exception of the deployment of UNOPS checkpoints and associated movement of commercial and civilian traffic on the Castello Road and the implementation of the monitoring mechanism referenced in paragraph 3(f)) have been implemented to their mutual satisfaction, including at least seven continuous days of adherence to the CoH.

      Ref A – Annex

—The Sides will commence preparatory work for the JIC, beginning Day D. These preparations will include initial discussion and sharing of information necessary for the delineation of territories controlled by Nusra and opposition groups in the areas of active hostilities for the purpose of the ultimate operation of the JIC. The more comprehensive process of delineation will be conducted by experts once the JIC is established. Preparations for the JIC will also include: identifying suitable interim and long-term premises; determining necessary working procedures, consistent with the already agreed Terms of Reference (TOR); and determining if there are mutually agreeable adjustments that should be made, consistent with changes on the ground, to the already agreed map of the Designated Areas, so that the JIC can be fully functional as soon as there are seven continuous days of adherence to the CoH and access to Aleppo as per the terms of this understanding.

—In the period between Day D and the establishment of the JIC, the Sides will each develop actionable Nusrah and Daesh (ISIL) targets so as to be in a position to share them in a way that allows strikes to commence on the day the JIC is established. Simultaneous with U.S. or Russian strikes on targets agreed to within the JIC, all Syrian military air activities – fixed and rotary wing – will be halted in the agreed designated areas pursuant to the agreed ToR.

—On Day D, the government and opposition groups that are parties to the CoH shall confirm to the Sides their commitment to the CoH. Any violation of the CoH before or after the JIC is established will be dealt with in accordance with the terms for the CoH agreed to in the Joint Statement of February 22, 2016 and the Standard Operating Procedures to Support the Cessation of Hostilities of March 28, 2016.

—The Sides commit to expedite the deployment of UNOPS on Costello Road as agreed in paragraph 3(b).

—Day D will commence at 19:00 Damascus time on Monday, 12 September, 2016.

—Each Side reserves the right to withdraw from this arrangement if they believe the terms have not been fulfilled.

    • Syria: Rebels evacuated from Homs following government deal to end siege

Around 120 rebel fighters and their families were evacuated from the al-Waer neighborhood of Homs on Thursday. The militants boarded buses where they will be transported via a safe passage to al-Dara al-Kabira, in the countryside north of the city.

The evacuation took place following an agreement between the Syrian government and the Homs Recociliation Committee and included the participation of the Russian Coordination Center.

SOT, Homs Governor Talal al-Barazi, (Arabic): “The UN role is always welcomed but unfortunately their last decision was not so constructive or positive, that’s why we proceeded with the deal even though the UN didn’t participate in this deal. Maybe in the future the UN can play a role but today only the Syrians played the roles for this agreement under the orders of the Syrian government and our Russian friends played a positive role by creating the appropriate needed atmosphere to carry on this deal .
We expect Today between 100 to 120 rebel with their families and they will move to Idlib countryside within couple of days.”

    • Syrian army begins new major offensive in Aleppo

The Syrian army announced the start of a new military offensive in rebel-held eastern Aleppo on Thursday, signaling a potential further escalation in a bombing campaign by Russian and Syrian jets that rebels say already intensified in the last 24 hours.

State media quoted the army’s military headquarters in Aleppo urging civilians in eastern parts of the city to avoid areas where “terrorists” were located and said it had prepared exit points for those who want to flee, including rebels.

The army announcement did not say whether the campaign would also include a ground incursion.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State John Kerry and his Russian counterpart Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Thursday convened a crisis meeting of governments with a stake in the Syrian civil war.

Ministers from the 23-nation International Syria Support Group gathered at a New York hotel for the second time in three days to seek a way to revive a plan to re-impose a ceasefire that collapsed this week.

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/09/22/obama-poised-to-veto-911-bill-and-could-face-first-successful-override.html

Will Obama risk a veto on “9/11 bill”?

President Obama is poised to take one of the biggest gambles of his final year in office by vetoing a popular proposal empowering the families of 9/11 victims to sue Saudi Arabia.

Democrats put on a brave face Wednesday, insisting that Obama’s effort to sink the bipartisan bill won’t hurt their party in the elections.

But Republicans are ready to pounce, hoping to use Obama’s opposition as a campaign messaging tool portraying the president — and by extension, Democratic presidential nomineeHillary Clinton and down-ballot Democrats — as siding with Middle Eastern oligarchs over the victims of the deadliest terror attack in America.

  11. How The Democratic Party Destroyed the World Economy In 2008

When you write about the Democratic Party you must understand that Democrats want to be judged on their intentions and never want to be held accountable for the outcome. Democrats don’t want to be held accountable for the collapse of world economy, but as we shall see, they are.

Who are the four Horsemen plus one? Some of the readers of this column may not be familiar with who the four Horsemen were. They appear in the Bible in Revelation chapter 6 verses 2. According to Revelation the Four Horsemen are Pestilence, War, Death, and Famine.

So who are the 4 horsemen plus one who brought all this upon the world?

First Horseman is “Pestilence”, Bill Clinton. The Clinton Administration changed GSEs’ (Government Sponsored Enterprise) mission to become far more active, but did nothing to adapt the regulatory structure to the new mission. Congress essentially controlled OFHEO, because Congress had life or death control over OFHEO’s funding. Fannie Mae was one of the most powerful Washington lobbyists– for OFHEO to take on Fannie Mae would have been like an entry level employee openly accusing a senior executive.

The Second Horseman is “Death”, Maxine Waters, Congresswoman from the 43rd District in California. She is the ranking member on the House Financial Services Committee, and we will see later why that was such an important position.

Our third Horseman is “War”, Barney Frank. Mr. Frank is the former Congressman from the second District of Massachusetts where he served for 16 terms and was also a member of the House Financial Services Committee.

Horseman number 4 “Famine”, is Christopher Dodd. He served in Congress from 1974 until he retired from the Senate in 2010; he served at Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking an important position in our story.

The Plus Horseman is the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Mr. Andrew M. Cuomo the current Governor of New York.

In 1977, Congress passed The Community Reinvestment Act, which was in response to “Red Lining” and other problems in housing and mortgages. Red Lining was a process whereby lenders could mark off sections of a city and not make loans to individuals or businesses in the Red Lined area because of the potential for default on loans. Most of the time these areas were in the poor areas of a city and most of the residences or business owners were black or other minorities.

    • Pay close attention to this one, the Dems and the socialist in charge of other nations are still damaging the worlds economy ensuring a major drop and a long recovery.

  12. Inside Hillary Clinton’s Outrage Machine, Allies Push the Buttons
    […]
At first glance, the Clintonian grass roots seemed to have organically sprouted in anger. But closer inspection yielded traces of Miracle-Gro that led to the sixth floor of a building in the Flatiron neighborhood of Manhattan.

There, surrounded by start-up tech companies, “Star Wars” posters and flat-screen televisions fixed on cable news, Peter Daou sat with his team at a long wooden table last week, pushing the buttons that activate Mrs. Clinton’s outrage machine. Mr. Daou’s operation, called Shareblue, had published the article on Mr. Trump’s comment on its website and created the accompanying hashtag.

“They will put that pressure right on the media outlets in a very intense way,” Mr. Daou, the chief executive of Shareblue, said of the Twitter army he had galvanized. “By the thousands.”

In the sprawling Clinton body politic, Shareblue is the finger that wags at the mainstream news media (“R.I.P. Political Journalism (1440-2016)”) or pokes at individual reporters. It is a minor appendage, but in an increasingly close race for the presidency, it plays its part.

And it is already warming up for the biggest event of the general election so far: the first debate, on Monday night. It has already published a piece calling on moderators to fact-check Mr. Trump on the spot, and will continue through debate night, whipping up support online with the hashtag #DemandFairDebates.

Shareblue is owned by David Brock, the onetime Clinton critic who remade himself into a Clinton supporter and architect of a conglomerate of organizations designed, he said, to be the liberal answer to the conservative messaging of Fox News.

The Brock network includes his Media Matters for America watchdog website; two pro-Clinton “super PACs,” the opposition research outfit American Bridge and the pro-Clinton fact-checking and reporter-spamming operation Correct the Record; and Shareblue, which filled the need, Mr. Brock said, for a progressive outlet that spoke directly to the grass roots and which “was avidly and unabashedly pro-Hillary.”
    […]
When video of Mrs. Clinton falling ill on Sept. 11 exploded in the news media, the campaign, which had at first said she overheated, apologized for not revealing her diagnosis of pneumonia beforehand.

Correct the Record went virtually dark. “It was waiting for guidance from the campaign,” Mr. Brock explained.

But Mr. Daou quickly started defending Mrs. Clinton from critics on Twitter (“They should be ashamed”) and that evening posted an article on Shareblue about Mrs. Clinton’s grit, headlined “Hillary Clinton’s feat of strength obliterates months of health conspiracies.”

It was roundly mocked as a blatant example of Pravda-esque spin.

But two days later, the Clinton campaign distributed another memo of talking points to its surrogates using her near collapse as an opportunity to talk about her stamina.

“To anyone who knows Hillary,” read the first bullet point, “it does not come as much of a surprise that even when she’s under the weather, she would want to power through her normal schedule.” […]

  13. Nine pages from Ahmad Khan Rahami’s journal

Earlier today, Mike Levine of ABC News tweeted an image of one of the blood-soaked pages found in Ahmad Khan Rahami’s journal.

Catherine Herridge of FOX News has obtained an additional set of eight pages from the notebook and shared them with The Long War Journal. The images, nine in all, are reproduced below. The journal contains multiple references to jihadi figures and related issues.

Rahami is charged with detonating a bomb on 23rd Street in New York City on Sept. 17 and placing three other bombs.

    https://www.thelocal.fr/20160922/french-mayor-demands-terror-suspects-expelled-from-town

“Volunteers in the Jungle Calais are understood to have been sexually exploiting migrants in the camp, it was claimed on Thursday.

The allegations came via a Facebook group for Calais volunteers, when a man brought up the issue of the sexual relationships in the camp and prompted a debate, reported British newspaper The Independent.

It appears the issue of volunteers sleeping with refugees is well-known in the community, and that relationships are most often between female volunteers and male refugees.

The original poster noted that he had even heard of “boys, believed to be under the age of consent, having sex with volunteers”.

“I have heard of volunteers having sex with multiple partners in one day,” he added.

Several heads of Calais charities confirmed to the paper that they were aware of the sexual relationships between volunteers and refugees.

The issue is a contentious one, as some volunteers see it as a natural occurrence given the circumstances, while others argue it’s an exploitation of power…”

  15. French mayor demands terror suspects be ejected from town (thelocal, Sep 22. 2016)
    https://www.thelocal.fr/20160922/french-mayor-demands-terror-suspects-expelled-from-town

“As France struggles to deal with the potential threat posed by thousands of radicalized individuals, one furious French mayor in Normandy has decided it’s time to throw them all out of town.

Guy Lefranc, mayor of Evreux in Normandy, has come up with a radical suggestion for what to do with all the radicalized individuals who may pose a threat to the town’s residents.

Lefranc has demanded all those on France’s “Fiche S” list, meaning they have been flagged up as a potential danger to the national security, simply be expelled.

“I am furious,” said mayor Lefranc, after having his request to have a list of the potential dangerous individuals in his town turned down.

“Given that the state does not give us the means to protect the people of Evreux, I demand the state expels all those who are “Fiche S”,” he said.

“I feel compelled to ask for this expulsion because I am not entitled to a perfectly legitimate request to know all those who are ‘Fiche S’,” he said.

“I ask myself a question about some of my staff, who work with the public. I don’t know if they are Fiche S, I don’t know if they are dangerous,” he said.

Given that we are in a state of emergency it is the responsibility of the Prime Minister to issue a decree… that would give local mayors access to the files,” he said.

The mayor had told the local prefect that the safety of the town was at stake and felt him having knowledge of those who were radicalised would make security more effective.

    But it was turned down.

Many, but by no means all of the jihadists who have launched attacks in France had existing “Fiche S” files, meaning their potential threat was known to authorities.

The fact that there are believed to be over 10,000 individuals in France with “Fiche S” files for various reasons, not just those who are radicalized or potential jihadists, has presented enormous problems for authorities.

Anger, frustration and fear are clearly growing, especially after the slaying of a French priest at a church in Normandy, by two jihadists known to authorities.

The mayor of Evreux would have only felt more aggrieved this week when it was reported that an individual flagged up as “Fiche S” was arrested in nearby Rouen after raising suspicions by walking into the university and acting suspiciously.

Presidential candidate Nicolas Sarkozy said last year he favours putting anyone with a “Fiche S” file on house arrest and assigning them with an electronic tag, so their whereabouts can be known at all times. He has since gone even further and put forward the idea of locking them all up.

While there have been calls for a French Guantanamo to be built to house all terror suspects, the government has resisted on the grounds it would be contrary to human rights.”

  16. Criticism of German deportation practices (DW, Sep 22, 2016)
    http://www.dw.com/en/criticism-of-german-deportation-practices/a-19569363

“Over the last few years, Germany’s states have sharpened their approach to dealing with those denied asylum. So far, 14,000 people have been deported this year. Among them are ever more refugees with illnesses.

North Rhine-Westphalia’s Social Democrat-Green coalition government is displaying an especially rigid demeanor. Last year, according to refugee observation offices at the Dusseldorf airport, the number of asylum seekers flown out of the country was three times higher than four years ago, rising from 1,200 to 3,600. And ever more deportation flights contained a number of ailing immigrants, mostly from Turkey and the Balkans.

Many of those affected suffer from illnesses like diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, HIV or serious psychological problems. “Since the so-called Asylum Package II went into effect this spring, the only exceptions that are made are for those people that are seriously ill and whose health would greatly deteriorate should they be returned to their country of origin,” says Dalia Höhne, one of just three deportation observers in Germany.

But deportations are not always carried out. According to information provided by the Federal Interior Ministry, some 600 deportations were aborted between January 2015 and the end of June 2016. Often, pilots refuse to fly immigrants resisting deportation. Others are not deported because they are acutely ill.

    ‘Deportation hindrance industry’

This has raised the hackles of police and interior ministers. They suspect that lawyers and doctors have developed a practice designed to hinder deportations. Therefore, the Chairman of the German Police Union (GdP), Rainer Wendt, and the CSU politician Hans-Peter Friedrich have vowed to pursue deportations even more vigorously in the future.

Wendt recently talked to Germany’s largest daily tabloid, Bild, about what he called the “deportation hinderance industry.” Friedrich, himself a former interior minister and deputy chairman of the conservative CDU-CSU parties in Germany’s Bundestag, claimed: “Whoever allows those who failed to receive asylum to lead the government around by the nose like that risks destroying citizens’ trust in the state’s ability to act.”

    Uncertainty among doctors

That in turn, causes uneasiness among doctors. Experts like Dalia Höhne recognize the conflicting priorities that doctors are faced with. “I hear that there is a great amount of uncertainty among doctors when it comes to so-called airworthiness certificates.” Before the new asylum law went into effect, a medical or psychological report – for instance one that documented the severity and the effects of chronic illness – could lead to the suspension of an asylum seeker’s deportation.

Now authorities only accept certificates that are no more than 14 days old, and which have been filled out according to strict formal specifications. It is also an open question as to what degree doctors can be expected to adequately diagnose the presence or absence of acute illnesses that might speak against deportations, especially considering the extreme time constraints that they work under and the fact that they are basically on their own, or at best are working through interpreters.

And Höhne acknowledges that there are other limitations. “Attestations from psychological therapists are not even accepted anymore. That has led to refugees that failed to receive asylum being deported straight from psychiatric clinics.”

With this tougher approach, refugee deportations are likely to go up over the next few years. At least that is what the numbers suggest. As of June 30, 2016, some 550,000 rejected asylum seekers were still living in Germany. Many have unrestricted residency status, since they have settled here and no longer have any connection to their own country of origin. However, 215,000 refugees face deportation.”

    • Over 500,000 rejected asylum seekers still live in Germany (thelocal, Sep 22, 2016)
      https://www.thelocal.de/20160922/550000-rejected-asylum-seekers-living-in-germany

“A new report shows that more than half a million people who had their asylum applications rejected are still living in Germany, three-quarters of whom have been in the country for more than six years.

In a parliamentary inquiry from Die Linke (the Left Party), the federal government revealed that as of the end of June, there were 549,209 people living in Germany who had had their asylum application rejected, Bild reported on Thursday.

About three quarters of them had been living in Germany at least six years.

The largest group came from Turkey (about 77,600), followed by Kosovo (68,549) and Serbia (50,817). Serbia and Kosovo were declared safe countries of origin by the German government in 2014 and 2015, respectively.

About half of the total number had an unlimited permit to stay, and another third had a temporary permit to stay.

Bild also reported that there were 168,212 people living as “tolerated” immigrants – 100,000 of whom had had their asylum applications rejected. And another 37,020 “tolerated” immigrants were allowed to stay because they lacked travel documents.

What happens when asylum is rejected

Even if someone has their asylum application rejected, the government may still recognize that there is another reason to protect them inside the country.

Asylum seekers who have their applications rejected may appeal their decisions, all the way up to the European Court of Human Rights, which can take months.

Another option if someone has their asylum application turned down is that they may receive “subsidiary protection” from deportation if they do not meet the requirements for gaining refugee or asylum status, according to the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF).

“There may be reasons that prevent him or her from being deported. These include the threat of the death penalty, torture, inhumane or degrading treatment or other existential threats – meaning that the foreign national is to be regarded as vulnerable,” the BAMF website states.

If someone is not granted refugee protection, asylum or subsidiary protection, they may also be granted a ban on deportation. This is issued in the case where a “foreigner faces a substantial concrete danger or an extreme general danger on return to the destination state,” including poor health care if they are ill, BAMF states.

“Protection against deportation… is asserted in particular (but not exhaustively) if for instance the danger of a considerable worsening of an existing illness is likely because of inadequate medical treatment in the destination state, or if such treatment is not available at all.”

If someone is not granted any of these protections, BAMF then issues a request for the person to leave Germany with a deportation notice. They are then given a week to 30 days to leave, depending on the reason for deportation. BAMF also notifies the country of origin and it then becomes the responsibility of the German state where the asylum applicant resides to enforce the deportation.

But Germany has struggled with getting people to leave voluntarily and for countries to take them back.

In February, Interior Minister Thomas de Maizière urged Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia to speed up their process of taking back their citizens whose asylum applications had been rejected in Germany. These countries had been refusing or delaying the processing of taking people back because they were missing identification documents.

It was also reported in February that Germany was paying refugees to go back home, covering travel costs and even sometimes giving them cash for when they return.

      Push for swifter deportations

Conservative politicians from Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and sister party CSU (Christian Social Union) have continued to push for swifter deportation processes for rejected asylum seekers.

In response to Bild’s report, chair of the CDU/CSU Union in German parliament Hans-Peter Friedrich called for a reform of the deportation laws.

“Whoever allows rejected asylum seekers to dance circles around the state is destroying the people’s trust in the capabilities of the government,” Friedrich told Bild.

“The laws urgently need to be changed.”

  17. How Sweden wants to return rejected asylum seekers (thelocal, Sep 22, 2016)
    https://www.thelocal.se/20160922/how-sweden-wants-to-return-rejected-asylum-seekers

“Swedish police could be allowed to raid workplaces to track down people who have had their asylum request rejected, as the government tries to make it easier to deport rejected asylum seekers.

Interior Minister Anders Ygeman and Justice and Migration Minister Morgan Johansson presented the proposed measures at a press conference in Stockholm on Thursday.

“Anyone who hasn’t had their application approved has to go home, that’s the basic principle,” said Johansson about the efforts to reduce the number of asylum seekers remaining in Sweden after getting their applications rejected.

The government wants to give police the power to carry out checks at workplaces across Sweden to track down rejected immigrants working illegally. As the law currently stands, authorities have to formally suspect that a crime has been committed to get permission for such raids.

Other proposed measures include making it easier for police to seize passports and ID documents and taking fingerprints of people suspected of being in Sweden without permission.

The government also wants to review the age limit, which currently stands at 14, of people who have to have their fingerprints taken when applying for asylum. The ministers did not propose a new limit on Thursday, but noted that the EU Commission suggests six years.

The number of people leaving Sweden voluntarily is increasing, but almost 20,000 people are currently believed to be staying in the Nordic country despite having had their residency applications rejected, reports the TT news agency. More than 12,000 are wanted by police, reports public broadcaster SVT.

In some cases, failed asylum seekers go underground. In other cases, Sweden is struggling to deport them because their identity has not been confirmed or because their home countries do not want to accept them.

Sweden took in an unprecedented 163,000 asylum seekers last year. In its latest forecast from this summer, the Migration Agency estimates that around 28,400 people will have their applications rejected this year, followed by 33,200 next year and 34,800 in 2018.”

  18. Meet Denmark’s new anti-immigration party (thelocal, Sep 22, 2016)
    https://www.thelocal.dk/20160922/meet-denmarks-new-anti-immigration-party

“A new political party that promises a stricter immigration policy than the Danish People’s Party combined with a libertarian economic outlook will be on the ballot the next time Denmark holds an election.

The party Nye Borgerlige, which roughly translates to ‘The New Right’ (a spokesperson told The Local that it did not have an official English name), has surpassed the 20,000 signatures needed to qualify for the next election.

The party’s core issues are tougher immigration rules, lower taxes and a withdrawal from the European Union and international conventions.

Here is a look at where the party stands in those areas, according to its policy agenda.

No asylum and immigration only for those who have a job
Nye Borgerlige wants to stop the acceptance of all refugees except for those brought into the country through the UNHCR resettlement problem.

It also wants to limit Danish citizenship to “people who contribute positively and have shown the will and ability to assimilate” and suggests setting an annual limit on the number of people who can become Danes through naturalization.

The party also suggests limiting immigration to only those who “come with a job in hand” and wants to set different salary requirements on immigrants based on their home countries.

Nye Borgerlige also says Denmark should be able to annul the citizenship of anyone convicted of terror or treasonous acts and more easily kick foreigners out of the country if they have broken the law.

“Values like our freedom of expression, freedom of religion and our right to assemble are under pressure,” Nye Borgerlige writes in its party platform. “Therefore there is an increasing need to protect the culture and values that give Danes the freedom to choose how we want to live our lives.”

In an interview with TV2 earlier in the year, party chairwoman Pernille Vermund warned that “desperation” due to the growing tensions over immigration could lead to a “civil war” in Denmark.

“If we lose respect for our legal system, it will create conflict and unrest – in the worst case, a civil war. When you look at France, one can worry about how it will end,” she said, in reference to a number of arson and graffiti attacks on Danish asylum centres in late 2015.

Vermund told TV2 on Wednesday that even though Denmark already has the strongly anti-immigration Danish People’s Party (DF), she sees a place in the political landscape for Nye Borgerlige.

“The Danish People’s Party are social democrats when it comes to economic policies. So there are major differences in what our parties want. While they see the Social Democrats as partners, we clearly belong in the blue bloc [Denmark’s right-of-centre parties, ed.],” she said.

    Out of the EU
Nye Borgelige views the EU as “monstrosity of rules and laws” that is “a direct threat to Denmark’s prosperity, progress and democracy”.

“We are ready to withdraw Denmark out of the EU and seek a looser connection in line with Switzerland if a satisfactory agreement for Denmark cannot be achieved,” the party writes.

It also wants Denmark to pull out of a number of international agreements including the UN’s convention on stateless individuals and the UN Refugee Convention.

    Lower taxes
On the economic front, the party supports “lower taxes” and “more financial freedom for Danes”.

“We believe that money is best placed in Danes’ pockets. We will therefore limit the number of tasks that the public system carries out and reduce redistribution and bureaucracy,” the party programme states. “That will reduce the tax burden and create financial freedom for individual families to choose for themselves how they want to live.”

It may not take long to find out if “Denmark needs Nye Borgerlige”, as the party writes in its programme. Rumours of a coming election have grown increasingly louder as the support parties of the Venstre government have been engaged in bickering and ultimatums that have only intensified since PM Lars Løkke Rasmussen unveiled his so-called 2025 plan last month.

Some analysts believe that the fundamental disagreements between support parties LA and DF could force an election as early as next month.”

“A 25-year-old Iraqi man was sentenced to three months in prison on Wednesday for taking to Facebook to cheer the terror attack at French magazine Charlie Hebdo.

The Copenhagen City Court also sentenced the man to conditional deportation, which means he will be kicked out of Denmark if he commits any new crimes.

Prosecutors had pushed for a five month sentence followed by actual deportation…”

  20. Half of Australians Support Far-right Leader to Ban Muslim Immigration (moroccoworldnews, Sep 22, 2016)
    http://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2016/09/197080/half-australians-support-far-right-leader-ban-muslim-immigration/

“A new poll revealed recently that 49% of Australians would support the anti-immigrant, far-right politician, Pauline Hanson, in her proposal to ban Muslim immigration to the country.

Ms Hanson’s political career began in the 1990’s, when she criticised Asian immigration, this is her return to Parliament after 20 years and she is without a doubt raising a few eyebrows with her further xenophobic views.

A member of the One Nation party, upon her return to the senate last week Ms Hanson warned that Australia was in danger of being “swamped” by Muslims.

The poll, which surveyed 1,075 people, asked Australians if they supported the banning of Muslim immigration. An astounding 49% of Australians supported such moves, whilst 40% opposed it. The reasons for such high figures in favour of this directive are because Australians citizens feel that Muslims do not integrate well enough into Australian society and they do not share the same values.

Hanson continued her rhetoric by implying that if Muslims do not assimilate, then they can go back to where they came from.

The Muslim population in Australia stands at just 2.2%, with 61.1% identifying as Christian.

The race discrimination commissioner, Tim Soutphommasane, criticised Hansons speech and via his Twitter, called on Australians to avoid such rhetoric and embrace the rich diversity of the country.

In an opinion piece for The Guardian, Soutphommasane wrote about the social effects of such politicians targeting and vilifying single communities, “”When politicians target particular groups with their rhetoric, it can affect what children experience in the schoolyard, and what their parents experience in their workplace.”

Ms Hanson’s comments are not unheard of. On the other side of the world, the Presidential candidate, Donald Trump peddles a similar discourse. He too warns the country of the risk of accepting Muslim immigrants.

In an age when the refugee crisis is the worst it has ever been and with President Obama urging the world to do more to support migrants, such rhetoric is only instilling more fear and hatred at a time when people need to stand united in humanity.”

“BRUSSELS – European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said Thursday that member States “must” show solidarity in sharing the burden of refugees who arrive in Europe. “Some countries do it, others say no because they are Catholic and they don’t want Muslims,” he said. “This is unacceptable because they are not (only) Muslims but human beings”.

He added that countries unable to participate in the redistribution of asylum seekers “must participate more in the reinforcement of protection of the (EU’s) external border, which must be done by the end of October”.”

“(ANSAmed) – Brussels, September 22 – European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker on Thursday singled out Italy for praise for its work to save asylum seekers at sea and receive those who make it across the Mediterranean. “The refugee crisis is important because it’s the reason that the EU is split,” he said. “The EU must not leave Italy, Greece and Malta alone. The EU must help the countries on the front line… I admire Italy.

It does more than Greece because every day it saves thousands of lives”. “The ships of all Europe take all of them to Sicily and leave Italy with the job of feeding and hosting them”.

Italy would have had 19 billion euros less to spend this year without the budget flexibility the European Commission managed to get for it, fighting “the elements you know,” EC chief Juncker said Thursday, referring to northern European budget hawks. Speaking at the European Economic and Social Committee, Juncker also said “we have introduced the investments clause and Italy is the only one benefitting from it”. Premier Matteo Renzi fought hard for some wiggle room on the budget deficit last year and is looking to get more this year both the migrant emergency, again, and for starting an ambitious decades-long reconstruction programme after the central Italian earthquake that flattened whole villages and killed 297 people.”

  22. Texas Rebels, Gives Obama Admin Until Sept 30

Following the bombing attacks over the weekend in New York City and New Jersey by a naturalized citizen originally from Afghanistan who became a radical Islamic jihadist, concerns over the federal government’s refugee resettlement program and Muslim asylum seekers have been renewed.

To this point, the state of Texas just served notice to the Obama administration that unless certain changes to the program are made swiftly, it would no longer take part in the resettlement of any refugees in the state through the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement.

According to a news release from the office of Gov. Greg Abbott, the ORR program was given until Sept. 30 to approve the plan put forward by Texas regarding the resettlement of refugees in the state, which specifically required national security officials to ensure that none of the refugees scheduled for resettlement in the state posed a threat to their state or its citizens.

“(ANSA) – Rome, September 22 – One of the Paris terror attackers sent money to Italy via a network now being probed, National Anti-Mafia and Anti-Terror Prosecutor Franco Roberti told a joint session the parliamentary constitutional and justice committees Thursday. “After the Paris attacks we reconstructed, following money transfers, a network which, starting with one of the Paris attackers, ended up in Italy.

Investigations are ongoing,” he said. “The flows started with the attacker and ended up with a guy who was here in Italy. Then other money transfers went from this guy to other individuals in Italy and abroad. We are reconstructing the network which could also be a groups set to carry out acts of terrorism in our country and other ones”, Roberti said. “It is important to have the tools to intervene and prevent. In the Paris and Brussels attacks we got there late in reconstructing the financial flows but we got there”.”

  25. Turkey to be upset if US arms the YPG: Turkish PM (hurriyetdailynews, Sep 22, 2016)

“Turkey would consider the United States’ supply of weapons and ammunition to the Syrian Kurds as a regrettable development, Prime Minister Binali Y?ld?r?m said Sept. 22 in comments regarding a New York Times report.

Ankara and Washington are not on the same page regarding the status of the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) and its military wing, the Syrian Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), he said after a meeting following an economy meeting at the Justice and Development Party (AKP) headquarters.

“Either the PYD or YPG, we identify them as the offshoot of the PKK. They have nothing to do with our Kurdish brothers. Our Kurdish brothers are living in Syria. We have [Kurdish-origin] citizens in Turkey, too, and there are Kurds in Iraq. Our country and nation has no problem with them,” he said.

“However, one should not fight against a terrorist organization using another terrorist organization,” he said, stressing that such an approach would bring trouble.

Turkish officials openly told their American counterparts about Turkey’s views, but Ankara would be upset if the U.S. takes a decision to supply arms to the YPG, Y?ld?r?m said.

Such an approach would not resolve the Syrian problem, but make it more complicated, the prime minister said.

The New York Times said the U.S. was mulling whether to provide weapons to the Syrian Kurds in the fight against ISIL.

The plan is under discussion at the National Security Council staff at a moment when U.S. President Barack Obama has directed aides to examine all proposals that could accelerate the fight against ISIL, according to the report. Obama has told aides that he wants an offensive aimed at removing ISIL from Raqqa, the group’s de facto capital in northern Syria, to be well underway before he leaves office in January 2017, the New York Times reported.”

  26. BREAKING: Police Find Something a Lot Scarier Than a Gun in Terence Crutcher’s Car

An officer-involved shooting that took place over the weekend in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has drawn heavy criticism from the usual suspects in the Black Lives Matter movement and their allies in the liberal media.

Video of the incident filmed from a helicopter overhead appeared to some to show a 40-year-old unarmed black man named Terence Crutcher with his hands over his head being shot and killed by white police officer Betty Shelby, seemingly confirming the narrative that police routinely use excessive force and deadly violence against black men who pose no threat to them.

But according to Tulsa World, evidence was discovered

  27. Turkey won’t take part in Raqqa operation if Kurdish militants do: Presidential spokesman (hurriyetdailynews, Sep 22, 2016)

“Turkey will not take part in a U.S.-led coalition operation to liberate the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’s (ISIL) de facto capital of Raqqa if Syrian Kurdish fighters are also involved, Presidential Spokesperson ?brahim Kal?n said.

Kal?n ruled out the possibility of Turkey joining an operation by coalition forces against ISIL militants in Syria’s Raqqa if the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) or its military wing, the People’s Protection Unit (YPG), which Turkey regards as terrorist organizations, also take part.

“Negotiations are still ongoing, there is nothing certain yet. Our principled stance is the same as it was with Manbij and Jarablus. It is out of the question for us to take part in an operation in which the PYD/YPG are present,” Kal?n said in an interview on state-run news channel TRT Haber on Sept. 22.

Turkey considers PYD and YPG as closely linked to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and deems all groups to be terrorist organizations.

“In principle, we support Raqqa and the other Syrian cities being cleansed from Daesh, but as we said before, we have principles and conditions on the issue,” Kal?n said, using an Arabic name for ISIL.

While U.S.-backed Kurdish and Arabs fighters liberated Manbij in early August, Turkey-backed Syrian rebel forces and Turkish troops took control of Jarablus in late August.”

“Turkish soldiers killed 40 Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militants in air strikes on the jihadists’ positions in neighboring Syria, the military said in a statement on Sept. 22, hours after rockets from the ISIL-controlled spots hit Turkey’s Kilis.

The positions where the ISIL fire came from was hit both in 20 air strikes and from the ground with rockets and howitzers, the military said in a written statement.

The ISIL pits in Syria’s Tungali and its surrounding were marked via Antpq-36 radars, it said.

According to the statement, the air strikes targeted ISIL elements in Bahvurtah, Tall Ar, Kadri?, Al Athariyah, Cakka and ?dalat regions on the southwest of al Bab…”

    http://gulfnews.com/news/uae/government/uk-uae-launch-task-force-to-prevent-violent-extremism-1.1900703

“Abu Dhabi: The United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have launched a new task force to help prevent violent extremism.

The new partnership initiative was launched Wednesday, said the British government in a statement on Thursday.

Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson and Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nayan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, committed to a continued partnership and support for Hedayah, the Abu Dhabi-based International Centre of Excellence for Countering Violent Extremism, during their meeting on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

At the signing ceremony for the joint Declaration of Intent, Johnson said: “Violent extremism is a global problem that requires global leadership and local partnerships. The UK has a close friend and partner in the United Arab Emirates, and I am grateful to the Emirati government for their continued leadership and commitment as together we tackle the scourge of extremism.”

The UK-UAE support for Hedayah will help governments develop and implement comprehensive national action plans to prevent violent extremism and support a range of practical programmes, including community policing and addressing the global threat posed by returning foreign terrorist fighters. Senior British experts would assist Hedayah to spearhead work on national action plans and capacity-building programmes.

The UK and the UAE have served as the co-chairs of the Global Counter-Terrorism Forum working group on Countering Violent Extremism since 2011. Hedayah acts as the operational arm of this working group. Since its establishment in Abu Dhabi in December 2012, Hedayah has grown into a world-leading organisation in the shared effort to counter violent extremism.

The UK has committed to providing around $1.4 million to support Hedayah’s programmes in 2016-17 and a similar amount over each of the financial years to March 2020, subject to performance, budget availability and impact assessment.

The task force on national action plans to prevent and counter violent extremism will help governments implement the appeal by the UN Secretary-General and British Prime Minister Theresa May to all countries to develop comprehensive national responses to the global challenge of extremism.”

Anatomy of Chaos: Democrat Mayor in Charlotte Turned Down State Law Enforcement Resources Hours Before Riots

Charlotte’s Democratic mayor Jennifer Roberts decided against accepting an offer made by North Carolina’s GOP governor Pat McCrory for additional state law enforcement resources long before the situation spiraled out control on Wednesday night, Breitbart News has learned.

Multiple sources have confirmed to Breitbart News—as well as other media—that Governor McCrory had offered Roberts state law enforcement resources that could have protected the city of Charlotte as early as 7 a.m. on Wednesday, but she didn’t take the offer.

    • SEND ‘EM BACK: DOJ Sends Same Unit to Charlotte That Helped Ferguson, Baltimore Rioters Organize

In moments of social unrest featuring violence and crime, one would expect the only proper role of the taxpayer-funded federal government is to quash the disturbance.

However, a unit of progressive attorneys within the Department of Justice has been at the center of every significant riot during the Obama administration, and this unit — the Community Relations Service, or CRS — was not at those scenes to protect the safety of all citizens.

In fact, the CRS was caught encouraging the chaos.

Not only did CRS side only with the protesters and not with law enforcement, they actively facilitated the protests, even as they were turning violent.

Additionally, this same unit has a serious fraud and corruption problem.

CRS came under fire this year for internally generated charges of incompetence, out-of-control management, and abuse of taxpayer funds.

    http://gulfnews.com/news/europe/uk/britain-s-mi6-intelligence-agency-to-get-40-more-spies-1.1900650

“London: Britain’s foreign intelligence service is to get 40 per cent more spies in one of the biggest expansions since the Cold War as MI6 seeks to harness new technology, the BBC said.

The Secret Intelligence Service, or MI6, will see its numbers increase to a little under 3,500 by 2020 from around 2,500, the BBC said, citing unidentified sources. MI6 does not disclose its staff numbers.

MI6 chief Alex Younger said this week that the Islamist militant threat to the West would endure for years to come because simply taking back territory from Daesh will not solve the deeper global fractures which have fostered militant groups.

MI6, depicted by novelists as the employer of some of the most memorable fictional spies from John le Carré’s George Smiley to Ian Fleming’s James Bond, operates overseas and is tasked with defending Britain and its interests.
