  1. What John Kerry Probably Told the Saudi Crown Prince
We don’t know what U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef at the U.N., but maybe it sounded like this.

US Secretary of State John Kerry spoke with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef at the UN to discuss bilateral ties. Here’s what they might have said to each other.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry: Pleasure to see you your royal highness. I have some very important matters to discuss with you and don’t have much time, so I hope you don’t mind if we launch straight into it.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Nayef: No problem at all.

Kerry: Wonderful. The first thing I’d like to ask is about is your human rights violations in Yemen. You guys sure have been killing an awful lot of civilians over there. According to the U.N. humanitarian coordinator your soldiers have killed or wounded at least 10,000 civilians since beginning the campaign in 2015. Do you think you could, you know, dial it back a little bit? Or maybe just be more careful when you’re getting your bomb on?

  3. Shock UN agreement grants thousands of migrants FREE ACCESS to scores of countries (express, Sep 21, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/712761/Barack-Obama-United-Nations-UN-Summit-migrant-refugee-pledge-asylum-seeker

“HUNDREDS of thousands of refugees will be granted free access to 50 countries as the global political community agrees to share the burden of the migrant crisis.

The groundbreaking decision, made at the ongoing UN summit in New York, saw scores of nations agree to take a percentage of 360,000 refugees earmarked for resettlement.

This is double the number allowed to enter nations worldwide last year.

Romania, Portugal, Spain, Czech Republic, Italy, France and Luxembourg agreed to take a staggering ten times the amount of refugees they accepted in 2015.

Countries have also collectively granted £3.4billion in financial contributions to UN appeals and other humanitarian organisations.

The international agreement came during a summit event hosted by Barack Obama in which he said every country had to take responsibility for the migrant crisis.

National ambassadors could only attend Obama’s speech if they promised to pledge their support in advance.

The US President said: “This is a test of our international system where all nations ought to share in our collective responsibilities, because the vast majority of refugees are hosted by just 10 countries.

“We must recognise that refugees are a symptom of larger failures – be it war, ethnic tensions or persecution.”

Obama also secured support from businesses to help address the refugee crisis, meeting with big business leaders before the summit to secure a donation of around £600million to “empower refugees”.

There are more refugees in the world than ever before, with 21.3million listed by the UN.”

    • Talk is cheap. No ambassador to the UN has actual authority to make such promises. Flattering the quacking lame-duck, that’s all.
Reminds me of the billions pledged to rebuild Gaza in 2014. Phantom Funds.

  4. Muslim man who KICKED woman in the head for wearing shorts says ‘Islamic law demanded it’ (express, Sep 21, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/712710/Muslim-man-kicked-woman-head-wearing-shorts-Islamic-law

“THIS is the horrifying moment a Muslim security guard KICKS a young woman in the face for wearing shorts.

Aysegul Terzi was assaulted on a bus in Istanbul after the man claimed Islamic law demanded he attack the young woman.

In shocking footage the 23-year-old girl is seen being brutally kicked in the face by Abdullah Cakiroglu.

The thug was incredibly freed by prosecutors when he said he was following Islamic law by assaulting the woman and it was decided to classify the incident as an assault that did not justify custody.

Following his release, the thug said: “She was dressed against my traditions.

“Friends, everything is under control. Everything happened according to Islamic law.”

During his prosecutor’s testimony, Cakirogu reportedly said: “I beat people whose outfits I do not like. The state should punish those who dress like this.”

The attacker added the assault was an impulsive act…”

  5. Plot to shut down Sharia Law courts in Britain as protesters call them ‘discriminatory’ (express, Sep 21, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/712987/Plot-shut-down-Sharia-Law-courts-Britain-protesters-call-discriminatory

“THOUSANDS of people have signed a petition against Sharia Law in the UK as hundreds of human rights organisations BOYCOTT a “biased” Government inquiry.

The petition, created by academics who have given evidence to a Government inquiry into Sharia courts, calls on the UK Government to recognise Sharia and all religious laws are arbitrary and discriminatory against women and children in particular.

Sharia is Islam’s legal system derived from both the Koran, Islam’s central text, and fatwas – the rulings of Islamic scholars.

The founder of the petition, Maryam Namazie, said: ”These courts are discriminatory against women, for example a women’s testimony is worth half that of a man’s, women can only have access to divorce for limited reasons, when a child is around nine and there is a divorce, custody always goes to the father irrespective of the welfare of the child even if there has been domestic violence or rape.”

The petition, which has so far attracted 31,000 signatures, states: “We demand an end to all Sharia courts and religious tribunals on the basis they work against and not for equality and human rights.”

There are fears the presence of these courts mean many Muslim women are not getting the access to the justice that they deserve.

Ms Namazie said that she feared women are “rail roaded” to go to these courts and “there is a lot of pressure and intimidation”.

Khola Hasan from the Islamic Shariah Council said: “Sharia law is very flexible and allows divorce in a range of circumstances; this is available to both men and women.

“Claims that Islamic law is discriminatory are designed to increase Islamophobia rather than facilitate a reasoned discussion.

A Government inquiry, which is being chaired by Professor Mona Siddiqui, is examining Sharia law and whether it discriminates against women.

More than 200 individuals and human rights groups have signed an open letter urging Theresa May to dismantle the panel chosen to overseen the inquiry.

Founder of the Centre for Secular Space, Gita Saghal, who signed the letter, said: “The inquiry should be led by a judge and not a theologian. This is not the right judge to hold people to account.

The signatories are concerned the inquiry is seeking out “best practise” among Sharia councils rather than questioning whether they should exist at all.

Ms Namazie said: “We do welcome any form of inquiry and we have submitted evidence to the Home Affairs Committee, but this inquiry is a religious inquiry and not a human rights inquiry.”

Many of the groups have written to the inquiry saying they would be boycotting the review because of its limited terms of reference…”

  6. Why FBI Suspects Keep Attacking Americans
The reason our authorities don’t take pre-emptive action against Islamic terror — even after solid intelligence warnings.

Why does the Obama administration keep failing to thwart Muslim terrorist attacks in the U.S. after receiving apparently good intelligence warning of those attacks?

It turns out that Americans keep turning in budding Muslim terrorists to the Obama administration and the administration keeps on doing nothing. For example, the alleged mastermind of the weekend pressure-cooker bombing in New York City was turned in by his own father but the Federal Bureau of Investigation failed to do much of anything about him.

These intelligence failures have become a recurrent theme in the Obama era, with deadly results. Excluding the events of the last few days, there have been 89 Muslim terrorist plots and attacks in the United States since Sept. 11, 2001 and 25 of those have taken place since the beginning of 2015, according to David Inserra of the Heritage Foundation.

Counterterrorism expert Sebastian Gorka, vice president at the Institute of World Politics, blamed political correctness for the FBI’s inability to do something about Rahami before he acted.

  7. Why Arab States Have Failed

Denigrating ISIS’ capabilities in Syria and Iraq will not solve the problem of anarchy and violence in these countries. It is the failure of states to provide adequate security to their populations that has provided the space for groups such as al-Qaeda and ISIS to flourish in these countries. When states fail to perform their primary task to provide security to their populations, individuals and groups look for alternative security providers.

After the American invasion of Iraq in 2003, a deliberate program aimed at destroying both military and civilian organs of the state, called de-Baathification, created a huge political vacuum into which extremist forces moved. Thus was created al-Qaeda in Iraq, which mutated into ISIS. Since the post-invasion Iraqi governments were mostly led by Shia sectarian entrepreneurs, most Sunnis completely lost faith in the state’s capacity to provide them protection.

Similar patterns became visible in Libya with the fall of the Qaddafi regime, and in Syria with the Assad regime’s loss of control over much of the country. In both cases, as in Iraq, foreign intervention was responsible to a significant degree for state collapse.

  8. Deport the Rahami Family
It’s time to send Muslim terrorists a message.
    September 21, 2016
    Daniel Greenfield

The Rahami family came to America from Afghanistan as refugees. They made life miserable for their neighbors. When the police tried to bring some order, they cried Islamophobia.

Two of the Rahamis have posted in support of the Muslim Brotherhood, Al Qaeda and other Islamic terror groups on social media. The third actually built and planted bombs to kill Americans. He terrorized two states, tried to kill and maim countless Americans and then shot it out with police.

Ahmad Khan Rahami, the central figure in the terror case, brought his wife here from Pakistan and she departed days before his attack. His mother left for Pakistan a few weeks before his bombing spree.

The media, eager for a story of redemption, has widely broadcast the claim that Mohammed Rahami, Ahmad’s father, told the FBI that he was a terrorist. But that was years ago. And Moham

  9. Trump Blasts Clinton Foundation for Honoring Wife of Muslim Terrorist
    September 21, 2016

The Trump Campaign sharply criticized the Clinton Foundation for honoring the wife of an Islamic terrorist.

“Omar al-Hroub Was Convicted On Charges That He Was An Accomplice In A Deadly Bombing Attack In Hebron That Killed Israelis Walking Home From Friday Night Sabbath Prayers.” – Wall Street Journal

“Today’s report that the Clinton Foundation is feting the wife of a Palestinian man convicted of helping bomb innocent Israeli citizens is deeply disturbing, especially in the wake of this weekend’s attacks. The decision to honor the wife of a terrorist by Hillary Clinton’s foundation shows a complete lack of judgment and a callousness that should disqualify her from holding the presidency.” – Jason Miller, Senior Communications Advisor

  11. USA – MINNESOTA – St. Cloud students rally against Islamophobia after mall stabbings

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KMSP) – Students at St. Cloud State University teamed up with city leaders Tuesday to fight Islamaphobia, after their former classmate injured ten people in a mall attack over the weekend.

According to police, Dahir Ahmed Adan, 20, reportedly said something about “Allah” and asked a victim if they were Muslim before attacking them.

Adan started taking college courses in high school, enrolling full time at SCSU in 2014. He did not return for the 2016-17 school year.

According to those who knew him, he was a good student and enthusiastic sports fan.

“He was a Laker fan and Viking fan and I’m a Packer fan so we would have little arguments, but he was the kindest person I knew,” said a woman who grew up with him in St. Cloud.

She said he never showed signs of mental illness or radicalization.

“Everyone in the Somali community is in shock and denial about what happened,” said Mohamed Warsame, President of the Somali Student Association at St. Cloud State.

Muslim community leaders say Adan’s family wants to see surveillance footage from the mall, as they are having a hard time believing the scenario laid out by authorities.

“That’s just what puzzles me—I have a lot of questions,” Adan’s friend said. “ It doesn’t make any sense to me.”

St. Cloud Police Chief William Blair Anderson and Mayor Dave Kleis joined students as they called for peace and inclusion. Student organizers say the purpose of the event was to change the national image of St. Cloud that has been disseminated this week.

“We felt it was responsible for us to do something that brings a positive image of St. Cloud,” said Warsame.

  12. First Muslim-Majority City Council Threatens Polish Community

One of the principles that Americans embrace and follow is the freedom of speech and the freedom of religion. We want to make sure that anyone who holds power in our country follows these principles. Given the fact that our ancestors escaped religious oppression, it is a hallmark of our society. Yet, things started change when the city of Hamtramck, Michigan, elected a new city council. You see, the new council is formed mostly by Muslims, and although this is a first in USA, it is already presenting a problem. Are we surprised though?

Only a few hours after the new council was elected, one of the organizers was filmed threatening all non-Muslims that live in the city. Hamtramck has a large Polish community, and in the video you can see how the Muslim organizer saying “Today we show the Polish and everybody else.” As a group who consistently complains about Muslim discrimination, shouldn’t they treat others the way they demand to be treated? Obviously not in this case!

Is this video something we should worry about? According to statistics, more than half of the Muslims living in USA reject the First Amendment. They do not believe that others should have the right to criticize Islam, and some of them even believe that those who commit blasphemy should be punished or killed. Can we really be sure that elected Muslims are not individuals who convey these opinions?

There have been no hate crimes reported in the city of Hamtramck, yet. And, we hope that the residents will get along regardless of their religion.

    • Hamtramck was Polish for most of the 20th century. Before WW2 people born there didn’t bother learning English unless they wanted to. Then every able-bodied man served in the military even after the draft ended. Vets were highly respected.

Proud American families, no hyphenation, if you please! (Still the best Polish people anywhere. Family, Church, food…) You couldn’t find a better example of civic excellence.

  13. France: Hundreds of ‘Calais Jungle’ migrants try to board trucks bound for UK

Hundreds of refugees from the ‘Jungle’ refugee camp tried to get through security fence and board trucks heading to the UK in Calais, Thursday. Police used tear gas and made several arrests while pushing the migrants back from the road.

The unrest comes after the construction works of the UK-funded ‘Great Wall of Calais’ began on Tuesday. The 1km (0.6 miles) long barrier is to be built some hundred metres from the sprawling camp in a bid to prevent refugees and migrants from entering the UK.

“Hundreds of migrants clashed with police in northern France on Wednesday in an attempt to get on the road to the Calais port and cross into the United Kingdom, French media reported.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Crowds of refugees tried to storm the ring road leading to the French port near the Channel Tunnel but were repelled by police who used tear gas, the Ouest-France daily said.

The scuffles broke out not far away from a wall that is being built with British government’s money to fence off a part of the road in order to stop migrants from jumping UK-bound trucks. According to the outlet, refugees have been setting up barricades on the road at night to slow down trucks and stow away on them.

Several people, including teenagers, have lost their lives in road accidents.

French presidential candidate Nicolas Sarkozy visited the port city shortly before the clashes, the iTELE television channel said. He reportedly pledged to revise a 2003 law that allowed Britain to shift border controls to the French soil.”

  15. Senate clears way for $1.15 billion arms sale to Saudi Arabia

The U.S. Senate cleared the way for a $1.15 billion sale of tanks and other military equipment to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, defending a frequent partner in the Middle East recently subject to harsh criticism in Congress.

The Senate voted 71 to 27 to kill legislation that would have stopped the sale.

The overwhelming vote stopped an effort led by Republican Senator Rand Paul and Democratic Senator Chris Murphy to block the deal over concerns including Saudi Arabia’s role in the 18-month-long war in Yemen and worries that it might fuel an ongoing regional arms race.

The Pentagon announced on Aug. 9 that the State Department had approved the potential sale of more than 130 Abrams battle tanks, 20 armored recovery vehicles and other equipment to Saudi Arabia.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency said General Dynamics Corp (GD.N) would be the principal contractor for the sale.

Paul, Murphy and other opponents of the arms deal were sharply critical of the Riyadh government during debate before the vote, citing Yemen, the kingdom’s human rights record and its international support for a conservative form of Islam.

“If you’re serious about stopping the flow of extremist recruiting across this globe, then you have to be serious that the … brand of Islam that is spread by Saudi Arabia all over the world, is part of the problem,” Murphy said.

The criticism came days before lawmakers are expected to back another measure seen as anti-Saudi, a bill that would allow lawsuits against the country’s government by relatives of victims of the Sept. 11 attacks.

President Barack Obama has promised to veto that bill, but congressional leaders say there is a strong chance that lawmakers will override the veto and let the measure become law. Overriding a presidential veto requires a two-thirds vote in both the House and Senate.

In Yemen, where a Saudi-led coalition is battling Iranian-allied Houthis, the Houthis have accused the United States of arming and supporting the Saudis, who intervened on the side of Yemen’s exiled government.

The war has killed over 10,000 people and displaced more than 3 million.

But backers of the deal said Saudi Arabia is an important U.S. ally in a war-torn region, deserving of U.S. support.

“This motion comes at a singularly unfortunate time and would serve to convince Saudi Arabia and all other observers that the United States does not live up to its commitments,” Senator Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said.

“Morocco’s King says ISIS terrorists “are not Muslims,” calls on the Moroccan diaspora to be the advocate of peace and coexistence between cultures and religions.

King Mohammed VI delivered a speech on Saturday August 20, 2016, that reiterates and emphasizes Morocco’s foreign policy, and puts into perspective the Kingdom’s vision to counter the scourge of terrorism.

The king seized the opportunity to emphasize the high priority Morocco accords its African policy and its determination to play a leading role in Africa. He also took the opportunity to reach out to Algeria and call upon it to reconsider its hostile positions towards Morocco in order to build a better future for the peoples of the Maghreb.

What is most striking about the speech is where the King condemns terrorism unequivocally, and defines the position of Islam in relation to the concepts of jihad and martyrdom.

The monarch’s direct tone addressing the problems of terrorism and jihad stands in stark contrast to the silence of the leaders of other Muslim countries. While other Muslim leaders have remained silent before the tragedies caused by terrorism, this is the first time that a Muslim leader, in his capacity as Commander of the Faithful, has adopted direct language condemning terrorists, and calling for their excommunication.

“Those who engage in terrorism, in the name of Islam, are not Muslims. Their only link to Islam is the pretexts they use to justify their crimes and their folly. They have strayed from the right path, and their fate is to dwell forever in hell,” said the King.

By focusing on the fact that terrorists are not Muslims and stating that they “are condemned to hell,” the king showed the courage to put them outside the Muslim community and controvert the obsolete idea that the Muslim community cannot excommunicate a person as long he or she professes his or her faith.

In addressing the issue of terrorism citing texts from the Quran, the King sought, first, to counter the media hype and demonization that, in recent months, has targeted Muslim communities in Europe and the United States and, in particular the Moroccan community.

The King spoke for the first time to the Moroccan diaspora, urged it to be at the forefront of peace advocates, pointing out that terrorism is alien to the traditions of Islam in Morocco. Through this message, Mohammed VI sought to refute the accusations recently made by U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump, who has accused Morocco of exporting terrorists…”

  27. Moroccan Police Foil ‘Dangerous Terrorist Project’ (moroccoworldnews, Sep 21, 2016)

“The Central Bureau for Judiciary Investigations (BCIJ), under the general directorate for national territory surveillance, foiled last Friday a dangerous terrorist project inside Morocco, planned by ISIS leaders, following the dismantling of a terrorist cell composed of three extremist people imbued with ISIS ideology and operating in the city of M’diq and Tangiers, said the Interior Ministry on Wednesday…”

  28. Chemical agent possibly found on rocket fired at US troops in Iraq (france24, Sep 21, 2016)
    http://www.france24.com/en/20160922-chemical-agent-possibly-found-rocket-fired-us-troops-iraq

“A rocket fired by Islamic State jihadists at US forces in Iraq may have carried a chemical agent, a US defense official said Wednesday.

No one was injured in Tuesday’s blast near an airfield by the northern town of Qayyarah and no one showed any immediate signs of exposure to the suspected mustard agent, the official said.

Several hundred US troops are working with Iraqi partners to strengthen the airfield ahead of a push on the IS stronghold of Mosul.

The defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said an incoming round had exploded within the base perimeter during an “indirect fire” attack.

A small team of US troops later inspected the fragmented ordinance and found one bit with a suspicious, tar-like black oily substance that they tested in the field.

That initial test was positive for a “mustard agent.” A second test was negative, and a third sample has been sent to a proper laboratory for definitive analysis.

The official downplayed the seriousness of the incident, saying the shell would have been “militarily ineffective.”

“Our concern is not much greater after seeing this,” he said.

Still, the troops who handled the fragments went through a standard decontamination procedure…”

  29. dallas morning news – Why we should treat Islamophobia as a public health issue

When I was 16, a Texas police officer pulled me over and said “it’s people like you that are ruining this country. Go back to your country.” People who speed, I thought? Girls who are late for figure skating practice? I wasn’t sure what he meant. What country was I supposed to go to? I was born and raised in Austin. Then, it dawned on me. It was a month after 9/11, and he meant Muslims.

Islamophobia is widespread. In the 15 years that have followed the Sept. 11 attacks, many Muslim or Middle Eastern Americans have been repeatedly exposed to hate and discrimination in the United States.

The unfounded hatred of Islam or stigmatization, fear and dislike of Muslims rose to 67 percent in 2015, the highest it has ever been. Right after 9/11, unfavorable attitudes toward Muslims were at 60 percent. In fact, hate speech and crimes against Muslim Americans tripled after the San Bernardino and Paris attacks. Muslim Americans have been harassed on college campuses, they have lost jobs, mosques have been vandalized, Muslim charities have had their assets frozen, and racial profiling has occurred at airports and on the streets.

But there is an effect of all this that has not been widely reported: the impact on health.

Simply put, Islamophobia has grave physical and mental health consequences for Muslims in the U.S. It is a public health issue. Yet, research on the health implications of this is understudied and often ignored by the masses.

We, as Americans, can and must do better.

Muslims are often represented as coming from non-white groups, so their religious identity is linked with racial identity. In reality, Muslim Americans include many nationalities and racial categories, including black and white, and anyone who appears Muslim-like, Sikhs and many non-Muslim Arab, Iranian and Indian Americans.

Unfortunately, Islamophobia is deeply institutionalized. Americans are exposed to political campaigns, news coverage and movies that portray Muslims as outsiders and villains. One study found that the coverage of Islam and Muslims in The New York Times was more negative than the coverage of cancer, alcohol and cocaine. Structural forms of discrimination, forms such as media coverage or political campaigns that call for a ban on Muslims, help normalize discriminatory attitudes and create the institutional system of discrimination.

A system of discrimination can lead to differential access to fundamental determinants of health such as education and employment. Moreover, when people are targeted based on their identity, the persistent exposure to discrimination has a pervasive, negative effect on health. Being a victim of Islamophobia can be traumatizing, with severe and lasting health impacts.

Members of stigmatized groups have greater stress, strained social relationships and unequal access to resources or medical care. Social marginalization increases the physiological response to stress. Discrimination against Muslim Americans has been linked to paranoia, psychological distress and reduced happiness as well as high cholesterol, obesity and other health problems.

Another study finds that a lack of social support leads to depression for Arab Muslim immigrant women. Islamophobia also prevents Muslim Americans from seeking health care, resulting in more late-stage cancer diagnoses.

Reversing the trend of Islamophobia in the U.S. will be a long-term task. We must better understand how the social climate of Islamophobia takes a toll on the health of Americans. By addressing Islamophobia as a public health issue, we can condemn hateful ideology and actions against Muslim and Muslim-like Americans while meeting an objective goal of health as a fundamental human right for all.

Health professionals should be aware of these discriminatory barriers that patients face when receiving care and their own implicit bias when they deliver care. Media coverage should reflect the diversity of the American Muslim population and shift the dialogue away from illness-inducing stereotypes. And lawmakers must realize that policies that single out and discriminate against Muslims make Americans sick.

This is my country, and the health of this country requires tackling the hatred that causes real health-related harm to Americans.

A Cameroonian immigrant has been put on trial in Spain for the murder of six fellow occupants of a flimsy migrant boat because of their Christian religious beliefs.

The prosecutor has asked for six separate terms of 15 years for murder with the aggravating factor of “religious motivation”, amounting to a 90-year sentence.

  31. DHS whistleblower: Muslims waging ‘settlement jihad’ on U.S.

WASHINGTON – Muslims from around the world are coming to America to wage “settlement jihad” and implement Shariah law, a Department of Homeland security whistleblower warns.

The eye-opening observations were made by former Department of Homeland Security officer Philip Haney at the ACT for America 2016 Conference Tuesday.

Haney warned that most Muslims do not migrate to America with the intention of assimilating into American culture.

  32. CIA Director Once Voted for Communist Presidential Candidate

CIA Director John Brennan voted for the Communist Party candidate in the 1976 presidential election.

Brennan told a congressional panel last week that he “froze” while taking a CIA polygraph test four years later when the questioner asked him if he had ever worked with or for a group that was “dedicated to overthrowing the U.S.,” CNN reported.

“This was back in 1980, and I thought back to a previous election where I voted, and I voted for the Communist Party candidate,” Brennan said at a panel discussion regarding diversity in the intelligence community during the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s annual conference.

Someone had asked whether experience in political activism could harm someone who later attempts to obtain a security clearance. Brennan said the CIA is committed to upholding the values of the Constitution.

“We’ve all had indiscretions in our past,” he said. “I would not be up here if that was disqualifying.”

    • In February 2013, John Guandolo, a former Marine who subsequently worked eight years in the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division as a “subject matter expert” regarding the Muslim Brotherhood and the global spread of Islam, stated that Brennan had converted to Islam years earlier in Saudi Arabia. Said Guandolo:

“Mr. Brennan did convert to Islam when he served in an official capacity on the behalf of the United States in Saudi Arabia. That fact alone is not what is most disturbing. His conversion to Islam was the culmination of a counterintelligence operation against him to recruit him. The fact that foreign intelligence service operatives recruited Mr. Brennan when he was in a very sensitive and senior U.S. government position in a foreign country means that he either a traitor … [or] he has the inability to discern and understand how to walk in those kinds of environments, which makes him completely unfit to the be the director of Central Intelligence…. The facts of the matter are confirmed by U.S. government officials who were also in Saudi Arabia at the time that John Brennan was serving there and have direct knowledge. These are men who work in very trusted positions, they were direct witnesses to his growing relationship with the individuals who worked for the Saudi government and others and they witnessed his conversion to Islam.”

  33. Arson at Belgian Forensic Lab May Set Back Terrorism Cases

The Aug. 29 arson, in which no suspects have been publicly identified, has cast the troubled criminal justice system of this tiny country — the biggest per capita exporter of foreign terrorists in Western Europe — into even deeper turmoil.

It has also added to mounting concerns about Belgium’s weak security systems, including at its nuclear sites.
