    • Thanks for posting this Yucki. I spent the time to watch this speech and he seems to make a lot of sense; unlike 8 months ago when he was a loose cannon, abrasive and disgusting.
I heard him on Larry Kudlow’s radio show several months ago and he was advocating for a tax reduction on corporations and an amnesty on corporate income taxes to bring American foreign money back into the American economy. It made a lot of sense to me rather than punishing corporations that move their money over seas. There is a reason why the money is overseas…
What is the old saw? You attract a lot more flies with honey then you do with vinegar.
Our country desperately needs more private sector activity. It seems that Obama and HRC are doing everything they can do to stifle the private sector. You know, the guys that pay into their bureaucratic scheme against their will to fund tens of thousand more gov’t jobs.

  1. Governor “Moonbeam” Brown Signs Legislation Regulating Cow Flatulence

So it’s now cow farts that will bring the end of the world. What is next breathing will be outlawed? Climate fanatics have found a cause and money spigot that will never quit. Joke is on the taxpayer. California has just secured its top position as the capital of the world of fruits and nuts.

    WZ:

Gov. Jerry Brown has signed legislation that regulates emissions from dairy cows and landfills for the first time as California broadens its efforts to fight climate change beyond carbon-based greenhouse gases.

Brown’s move Monday targets a category of gases known as short-lived climate pollutants, which have an outsize effect global warming despite their relatively short life in the atmosphere. More

A former Utah State Eastern basketball coach is accused of entering a Utah elementary school while wearing a mask and what observers said appeared to be flowing green Arabic garb after allegedly declaring himself a radical Islamic jihadist.

Police snipers were at the scene, although students and employees were evacuated and are safe, said KSL. There was also a possible bomb threat at the school. The suspect was then taken into custody.

Christopher Craig has been in the news before for a series of bizarre incidents that date back several years and range from allegedly driving on a school playground to allegedly saying churches would be destroyed.

When the city of Wels where the Afghan lived slashed the benefits for recognised asylum seekers, the man instead moved to the capital Vienna where the benefits remained at €914, according to the prosecutors.

The prosecutors refused to say how much drugs were involved, but confirmed it was a substantial amount.

The man had reportedly been able to fly back to Kabul several times, claiming he was going on holiday despite the fact he had fled the country because of the war.

Afghanistan is currently the biggest opium producer in the world.

An illegal Algerian immigrant accused of beating a woman unconscious in an attempted rape has told a court the reason he is in Austria is to “f*ck the women”.
On trial at the Regional Court of Linz the Algerian, who has been convicted several times in France and Austria, denied carrying out the attack in April this year. He is alleged to have tried to rape the victim before brutally beating her.

The woman was left lying unconscious with serious injuries in bushes near the bus stop where the incident occurred. She is also thought to have been psychologically scarred by the event.

Asked why he’d come to Austria the accused replied: “I have come to Austria to f*ck the women”. As well as having several convictions in Europe, the Algerian has a rejected asylum decision and a travel ban under his belt. The 35 year old is also accused of committing an attempted rape last November, and of an assault.

A Cameroonian immigrant has been put on trial in Spain for the murder of six fellow occupants of a flimsy migrant boat because of their Christian religious beliefs.

Survivors of the hellish 2014 crossing from Morocco to the southern shore of Spain described how the accused, the Muslim captain of the inflatable craft identified as Alain N. B., blamed Christian passengers for the onset of a storm and forced six men off the boat to a certain death.

According to some of the 29 survivors from the more than 50 sub-Saharan migrants who boarded the boat near Nador, northern Morocco, the accused “blamed the rough seas which were rocking the boat on the prayers led by a Catholic pastor on board”.

On Friday, leaders European Union member states will meet for their next informal meeting in Bratislava, Slovakia — the second one without Britain. Also in attendance will be Martin Schulz, the German president of the European Parliament. Schulz is very concerned about the current state of the EU. “We’re at a historical juncture: A growing number of people are declaring what has been achieved over the past decades in Europe to be wrong,” the politician, a member of the center-left Social Democrats (SPD) told SPIEGEL ONLINE in an interview.

Schulz warns of the demons of Europe’s past and says that the EU must now fight to keep them at bay. “I expect from the community of 27 a clear signal that we will stick together despite the problems and contentious issues,” he says. “Just how important this cohesion is will become clear as soon as Brexit negotiations begin.”

Schulz also expressed his fears of a possible US President Donald Trump. “Then you will have an obviously irresponsible man sitting in a position that requires the utmost sense of responsibility,” he says. “Trump is not just a problem for the EU, but for the whole world.”

The convoy with humanitarian aid heading to the embattled city of Aleppo can be seen being accompanied by a militant pickup truck, Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov has said.

“Analysis of the yesterday’s drone footage monitoring the movement of the aid convoy through the militant held areas helped to reveal new details,” Konashenkov said. He added that the drone footage points at insurgents seeking cover behind the trucks.

“The video clearly shows how the terrorists are relocating a pickup truck with a large-caliber mortar.”

The footage shows the pickup in question riding alongside a line of aid trucks, and stopping right next to one of them, so it can be seen from one side only.

  8. A statue that, at first look, appears to be identical is located in Ottawa on the campus of Carleton University in front of the River building. May be I should put my Trump hat on and walk over to demand they get rid of that racist!

    http://www.hindustantimes.com/world-news/ghana-university-students-teachers-demand-removal-of-gandhi-statue-from-campus/story-tCTgaebVt5XH4QYhVFo3UJ.html

Some students and academics at the Ghana University have demanded the removal of a statue of Mahatma Gandhi, saying he was racist against black people.
The Gandhi statue, currently installed in the premises of the varsity, was gifted by President Pranab Mukherjee during his recent visit to Ghana.
The students and teachers argue that Gandhi’s reference to black Africans as “kaffir” in some of his early writings reflected his ‘racist’ mindset.
The campaign has been led by Professor Akosua Adomako Ampofo, former director of the Institute of African Studies. The students and teachers have also launched an online petition, asking authorities to facilitate “the removal of the statue of Gandhi” at the earliest.
“How will the historian teach and explain that Gandhi was uncharitable in his attitude towards the black race and see that we’re glorifying him by erecting a statue on our campus?” wrote a professor in the petition.

  9. Four arrested for car fires in Malmö (thelocal, Sep 20, 2016)
    http://www.thelocal.se/20160920/four-arrested-for-malm-car-fires

“Four young men have been in arrested in Malmö suspected of causing car fires in the southern Swedish city on Monday evening.

The men were stopped in a vehicle shortly after the night’s first car burning began, according to local newspaper Sydsvenskan.

The arrest follows the apprehension of another man on Saturday suspected to be behind a separate vehicle fire in the city.

Car-burning activity in Malmö seemed to calm down on Monday after some of the worst nights yet in the spate of blazes took place last weekend.

“It has been quiet. There was a car fire in Burlöv around 1am, but otherwise there hasn’t been much after midnight,” Mikael Lundh, duty officer at Southern Sweden Police, told news agency TT.

At the weekend by contrast as many as 32 cars were set alight. Police suspect that sudden burst may have been a response to the recent arrests of individuals linked to serious crimes in the city.

“We can’t rule out the possibility that this is a reaction to our activities in terms of crime here,” Malmö Police press officer Lars Förstell told TT.

According to police, the fires do not appear to be directed towards any particular individual, and they suspect that a small group of young men working as lackeys for hardened criminals are behind them.

Authorities in the city last month brought in a drone to monitor activity in the areas hit by the spate of burnings. Its small size and stealth make it difficult for car-burners to spot, and a handful of arrests have followed its introduction.”

  10. Christian teen charged with blasphemy (tribune, Sep 20, 2016)
    http://tribune.com.pk/story/1185112/christian-teen-charged-blasphemy/

“ISLAMABAD: A Christian teenager has been charged with blasphemy over a derogatory picture of the holiest place, police said on Tuesday.

Nabeel Chohan was arrested for liking and sharing on the social media a disparaging photograph of the Khana-e-Kaaba.

Chohan, who is 18 and from the Punjab, also kept the picture on his phone, police said.

A Muslim friend of Chohan’s informed police after seeing the Facebook post on September 16 and the teen was arrested after his friend filed the blasphemy case, police official Shahbaz Ahmed said. “A case of hurting religious sentiments of Muslims and desecrating the religious place has been lodged.”

Muhammad Hussain, the investigating police officer, confirmed the arrest, saying Chohan was in a police cell.”

  11. Muslim pupils must shake hands – ‘no ifs and buts’ (thelocal, Sep 20, 2016)
    http://www.thelocal.ch/20160920/muslim-pupils-must-shake-hands-no-ifs-and-buts

“A school in the canton of Basel-Country has rejected the appeal of a Muslim schoolboy who refused to shake hands with his female teachers for religious reasons.

The boy was one of two teenage brothers at a high school in Therwil who caused a nationwide furore earlier this year when they said shaking hands with female teachers went against their religion, which forbids physical contact with a member of the opposite sex who isn’t family.

In an attempt to find a compromise but avoid discrimination against women, the school initially agreed to exempt the boys from shaking hands with all teachers, regardless of gender.

However the situation subsequently triggered outrage across Switzerland because it was seen as an affront to an intrinsic part of Swiss culture – shaking hands with teachers is a common custom in Swiss schools.

The canton’s education authorities then intervened and ruled that the boys must shake their teachers’ hands or face disciplinary measures, as well as a fine (issued to their parents) of up to 5,000 francs.

The disciplinary measures could take the form of an oral warning or debate with parents, and would aim to educate pupils on the subject, they said.

At the time the canton’s education department said: “The public interest with respect to equality between men and women and the integration of foreigners significantly outweighs the freedom of conscience (freedom of religion) of the students.”

Refusing to shake hands on religious grounds would be to involve others in a “religious act” and is therefore different from the wearing of a headscarf or refusing to take part in swimming lessons, it said.

According to Blick the older brother left the school at the end of the last academic year in June, however the younger boy, now 15, started this school year once more refusing to shake his female teachers’ hands.

Last week the school board rejected a complaint lodged by his parents over the disciplinary measures taken against their son, saying it was the teachers’ right to demand a handshake, cantonal authorities said on Monday.

The school’s decision was welcomed by Monica Gschwind, head of Basel-Country’s education department, who said in a statement that shaking hands with teachers is “deeply rooted in our society and culture”.

The parents can now lodge a further appeal to the canton’s education authorities, but Gschwind said she would lobby the cantonal government to support the school board’s decision.

In November the canton will consider a bill to amend Basel’s education laws to “provide future clarity” on the issue, she added. The proposed law would make it obligatory for schools to report any pupils who refuse to shake hands to the Swiss migration office (SEM).

All local customs should be respected in schools, regardless of religion, said Gschwind.

“For me it is clear: the handshake is enforced – no ifs and buts,” she said.

Since the case erupted, the family involved have had their application for Swiss citizenship suspended, pending further discussion.”

  12. DF’er charged with racism for saying foreigners ‘steal, rape and kill’ (thelocal, Sep 20, 2016)
    http://www.thelocal.dk/20160920/df-member-faces-police-charge-for-saying-foreigners-steal-rape-and-kill

“A rabid anti-immigration speech from a member of the Danish People’s Party (DF) will be investigated by police as a possible violation of Denmark’s racism law.

Speaking at DF’s national meeting in Herning over the weekend, Cheanne Nielsen delivered remarks that have been widely criticised by her political opponents.

Nielsen, a delegate from Copenhagen, lashed out at immigrants and what she perceived as a lacklustre effort from the government – which has rolled out one set of immigration restrictions after another – to sufficiently limit the number of foreigners living in Denmark.

“Why should foreigners take care of themselves, now that they can require rent and pocket money from the state as soon as they come here?” Nielsen wondered.

“They make a mess, they cheat, they steal, they rape and they kill,” she added.

While the DF crowd ate up the comments and greeted the gross generalization with applause, Nielsen’s remarks were widely criticized by members of Denmark’s other political parties and were given a slight reprimand by DF leader Kristian Thuelsen Dahl, who said Nielsen “went too far” but declined to strip her of her party membership.

Roskilde resident Mille Stockner viewed Nielsen’s comments as a clear violation of Denmark’s racism law and started a petition to report her to the police. Over 6,000 people added their names and on Tuesday, Stockner filed an official complaint with the West Zealand Police.

“In my view, these comments are such extreme generalizations of an ethnic group that they are a clearly in violation of Paragraph 266b [the so-called ‘racism paragraph’, ed.]. This is also a case of using such comments as propaganda when they are expressed from the podium of a large national gathering,” Stockner wrote in the petition.

Nielsen attempted to walk back her comments in a Facebook post written on Tuesday.

“At the national meeting, I gave a speech. Unfortunately, I said ‘foreigners’ and not ‘MANY foreigners’. This has been interpreted to mean that I think ALL foreigners [cheat, steal, rape and kill, ed.]. It goes without saying that there aren’t problems with ALL foreigners. Many of them take good care of themselves and want to be a part of Danish society. But there are problems with many foreigners and we should be able to talk about it,” she wrote.

Nielsen’s comments weren’t the only ones to garner headlines from the DF national meeting.

Marlene Harpsøe, who represents the party in parliament, also received a fair amount of criticism for her suggestion on how Denmark should handle rejected asylum seekers.

“There are often reports of difficulties in sending rejected asylum seekers back home. It is very, very expensive when the trip is made by plane. We waste an incredible amount of police resources on it. So, dear gathering, I have a much better idea. Give the migrants a pair of sneakers. If they can walk all the way up here, they can also walk home again,” Harpsøe said to rapturous applause.”

  13. Muslim women face German job barriers – discrimination study (BBC, Sep 20, 2016)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-37420486

“An experiment in Germany has found evidence of job discrimination against women with Turkish names – and even more if they wear an Islamic headscarf.

A university researcher sent 1,500 identical CVs to German firms – except that some bore the name Meryem Ozturk and others the name Sandra Bauer.

In 18.8% of cases Sandra Bauer was invited for interview, whereas the figure for Meryem was just 13.5%.

When the photo of Meryem showed her in a headscarf only 4.2% invited her.

The study was published by the Institute for the Study of Labour, in Bonn. The researcher was Doris Weichselbaumer from the University of Linz, in Austria.

The findings are especially significant in light of Germany’s current efforts to integrate record numbers of Muslim migrants, many of them refugees from the conflicts in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.

More than a million asylum seekers reached Germany last year, and there has been a backlash from nationalist groups, especially Pegida and Alternative for Germany (AfD).

With an estimated three million people of Turkish origin, Germany is home to the largest Turkish diaspora.

    ‘Modern-looking’ headscarf

In her study, Ms Weichselbaumer said that “a very modern binding of the headscarf was chosen to signal that the applicant was a young, modern woman who could easily fit into a secular environment”.

It is normal in Germany to attach a photo to a job application, she pointed out.

The result of the experiment “implies that the candidate with the headscarf had to send 4.5 times as many applications as an identical applicant with a German name and no headscarf to receive the same number of callbacks for interview”, she said.

Discrimination appeared to intensify when the job required a higher skill level. When Ms Ozturk in a headscarf was applying for a secretarial job she had to send off 3.5 times more applications than Ms Bauer. For the post of chief accountant Ms Ozturk had to make 7.6 times more applications.

Ms Weichselbaumer has found similar levels of discrimination in Austria. A female Nigerian job applicant was only half as successful as an Austrian woman in getting invitations to interview, her research showed in 2013.”

  14. One in five Germans now has immigrant background (thelocal, Sep 20, 2016)
    http://www.thelocal.de/20160920/one-in-five-germans-now-have-immigrant-background

“A new microcensus shows that more than one-fifth of all Germans have some sort of ‘immigrant background’ – a record high for the Bundesrepublik.

The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reported on Friday that 17.1 million people out of a population of 81.4 million last year had some kind of immigration background.

This included people who had immigrated to Germany themselves, people with at least one parent who wasn’t a German national, and ethnic Germans or their children who had re-settled in Germany.

Destatis said that this was a record level for Germany with an increase of 4.4 percent over 2014.

The microcensus did not include most of the hundreds of thousands of refugees who came to Germany last year, Destatis noted.

Most people in this group had roots in Turkey, Poland and Russia.

A total of 6.3 million people had come to Germany, or were descendants of someone who had come through a guest worker programme from Turkey, Italy or Greece.

Most of the 17.1 million were not born in Germany: 6.4 million had immigrated from a foreign country, while 5 million were ethnically German and were not born in Germany.

The microcensus also showed that one in three kids under the age of 18 are immigrants or came from immigrant families. And for children under five years old, this figure was 36 percent.

Destatis also noted that people coming from immigrant families tend to have lower levels of education than others. For people between the ages of 25 and 35, those with an immigration background more often had either no equivalent of a high school diploma, or only had a vocational high school degree.

They were also three times more likely to have no professional qualification.

On the other hand, both immigrants and non-immigrants had almost the same rate of obtaining academic degrees.

There were also disparities when it came to the job market. Those with an immigration background were less often employed and almost twice as often in manual labour.

Among the various countries of origin, there were also different trends. Of people between the ages of 25 and 35 with Chinese heritage, for example, 88 percent completed their Abitur, or final exams to go on to university. Just 16 percent of those with Turkish roots had done the same.

    https://www.rt.com/news/360071-germany-syria-refugee-praying-isis/

“German police special forces (SEK) have arrested a 16-year-old refugee from Syria in Cologne after allegations he had become radicalized and prayed for Islamic State. Three migrants were slightly injured during the operation.

The SEK raided a temporary refugee camp in Cologne’s Porz district on Tuesday, arresting a 16-year-old boy named Mohammad.

“According to the information by the State Security Service the teen has radicalized himself in a very short time,” the statement by the Cologne police reads…”
