  1. Howard Dean: ‘I Don’t Consider Iran to Be a Muslim Country’

Former Vermont Governor Howard Dean told Breitbart News that “Iran is the farthest thing from an Islamic Republic” and that Iran is not “a Muslim country.”
Instead, Dean said, Iran is “a republic that’s been hijacked by thugs and murderers.” He explained that he does not know Muslims whom he respects and who behave the way the regime does.

Dean was speaking exclusively to Breitbart News from Paris last month during a conference hosted by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI). The PMOI (also referred to as MEK) is an opposition movement that played an active role in overthrowing Iran’s last Shah while President Jimmy Carter was in power, and which was de-listed as a terrorist organization under Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

During the interview, Dean also pointed out his belief that the term “radical Islamic terrorism” is a manufactured phrase “for political, domestic consumption in America.”

  2. TIM KAINE A man of the far left

Born into an Irish Catholic family in Saint Paul, Minnesota on February 26, 1958, Timothy Kaine earned a BA from the University of Missouri in 1979 and a JD from the Harvard University School of Law in 1983. He subsequently practiced law for 17 years, representing people who claimed to have been denied housing opportunities based on race or disability. Kaine also spent time as a professor of legal ethics at the University of Richmond School of Law, and superintendent of a Technical School in Honduras. He launched his political career in the mid-1990s, serving as a member of the Richmond (Virginia) City Council (1995-98); Mayor of Richmond (1998-2001); Lieutenant Governor of Virginia (2002-06); Governor of Virginia (2006-10); and U.S. Senator from Virginia (2013-present). On July 22, 2016, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton named Kaine as her vice presidential running mate.

Kaine was involved in controversy related to a 1985 incident where University of Virginia student Jens Soering, a German citizen, brutally murdered the parents of a girl he was dating. Three years later, Kaine provided a sworn affidavit in support of Soering’s attempt to avoid extradition from England, to where the killer had fled following his crime. Soering was delivered to Virginia only after authorities agreed to reduce his capital murder charges and thereby eliminate any possibility of the death penalty, and in 1990 he was convicted and sentenced to two life terms in prison. Just before leaving office as governor in 2010, Kaine asked the U.S. Justice Department to transfer Soering to a German prison, where he would have been eligible for release within two years. The Justice Department denied the request. When he was subsequently asked about this matter in a debate during his 2012 Senate campaign, Kaine cited financial considerations: “I did feel like Virginians have paid for his incarceration for a very long time—let the Germans pay to keep this guy.”

Over the course of his political career, Kaine has developed close ties to numerous Islamists

  3. U.S. Sent Cash to Iran as Americans Were Freed

$400 million sent to Iran as U.S. prisoners released, raising questions

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration secretly organized an airlift of $400 million worth of cash to Iran that coincided with the January release of four Americans detained in Tehran, according to U.S. and European officials and congressional staff briefed on the operation afterward.

Wooden pallets stacked with euros, Swiss francs and other currencies were flown into Iran on an unmarked cargo plane, according to these officials. The U.S. procured the money from the central banks of the Netherlands and Switzerland, they said.

The money represented the first installment of a $1.7 billion settlement the Obama administration reached with Iran to resolve a decades-old dispute over a failed arms deal signed just before the 1979 fall of Iran’s last monarch, Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.

The settlement, which resolved claims before an international tribunal in The Hague, also coincided with the formal implementation that same weekend of the landmark nuclear agreement reached between Tehran, the U.S. and other global powers the summer before.

“With the nuclear deal done, prisoners released, the time was right to resolve this dispute as well,” President Barack Obama said at the White House on Jan. 17 — without disclosing the $400 million cash payment.

Senior U.S. officials denied any link between the payment and the prisoner exchange. They say the way the various strands came together simultaneously was coincidental, not the result of any quid pro quo.

“As we’ve made clear, the negotiations over the settlement of an outstanding claim…were completely separate from the discussions about returning our American citizens home,” State Department spokesman John Kirby said. “Not only were the two negotiations separate, they were conducted by different teams on each side, including, in the case of The Hague claims, by technical experts involved in these negotiations for many years.”

But U.S. officials also acknowledge that Iranian negotiators on the prisoner exchange said they wanted the cash to show they had gained something tangible.

Sen. Tom Cotton, a Republican from Arkansas and a fierce foe of the Iran nuclear deal, accused President Barack Obama of paying “a $1.7 billion ransom to the ayatollahs for U.S. hostages.”

“This break with longstanding U.S. policy [not to] put a price on the head of Americans, and has led Iran to continue its illegal seizures” of Americans, he said.

Since the cash shipment, the intelligence arm of the Revolutionary Guard has arrested two more Iranian-Americans. Tehran has also detained dual-nationals from France, Canada and the U.K. in recent months.

  4. Gun Control Fail: Germany Has 4 Illegal Guns for Every Registered Firearm

The anti-gun left likes to point to Europe as a successful example of gun-free living. However, new numbers published by the Daily Mail show that the number of illegal guns in Germany greatly outweighs the number of legal guns. What does this mean? It means what Second Amendment supporters have been saying all along: gun control disarms law abiding citizens and empowers the criminal class.

According to data from the German Firearms Register, there are almost 5.5 million guns in private ownership belonging to 1.4 million people.

But research by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in January estimated there are up to 20 million illegal firearms in Germany.

Just last month, a shooter in Munich, Germany used an unlicensed Glock 9mm to kill nine helpless, defenseless people.

Germany has very strict laws on firearm ownership. In order to own a firearm, one must be at least 18 years old and show a reason for owning the firearm. Applicants for a license under the age of 25 must undergo a psychiatric test. Fully automatic weapons are banned as are semi-automatic weapons unless they are used for hunting. Also on the banned list: pump-action shotguns with pistol grips, sawed-off shotguns, guns with night-vision equipment, and guns with lights attached.

    • That didn’t work, here is the block quote, the rest after that are part of the PJMedia article

    • I wonder how many World War 2 weapons are in private hands there unknown and unregistered by the “authorities?” After all, wasn’t there a Finnish farmer who gave up his 88mm anti-tank gun a couple of years ago? I bet these weapons are handed down from fathers to sons “just in case”… as in: “Yeah, I guess that case in now!”

  5. Obama Only Bombs Libya When the Muslim Brotherhood Lets Him

Obama is rather belatedly bombing ISIS in Libya after having essentially turned over Libya to Jihadists. That particular course of action cost the lives of four Americans in Benghazi.

Why can Obama bomb Libya now but not to save the Americans who were under siege in Benghazi? The answer is simple and ugly.

In Washington, the Pentagon said the raids were launched in response to a request from the unity government.

“At the request of the Libyan Government of National Accord, the United States military conducted precision air strikes against ISIL targets in Sirte, Libya, to support GNA-affiliated forces seeking to defeat ISIL in its primary stronghold in Libya,” Pentagon press secretary Peter Cook said, using another name for IS.

The GNA is significantly Muslim Brotherhood influenced. Obama refused to provide aid until the GNA, which incorporates Islamists, came into being.

A third deputy is Abdessalam Kajman who aligned with the Justice and Construction Party of which the Muslim Brotherhood is the largest component while Musa al-Kuni represents southern Libya.

Whether it was going after Gaddafi or ISIS, Obama needs to be on the right side of his political Islamists first. And he isn’t about to bomb them merely to save American lives.

  6. Obama Gives Syrian Muslims Incentive to Sneak into US
    August 2, 2016
    Daniel Greenfield

Despite the rash of attacks by Syrian migrants and others in Europe, Obama is doubling down on his disastrous policies which endanger American lives.

Homeland Security granted a new temporary amnesty Monday to more than 8,000 Syrians living in the U.S. right now, saying they can remain for up to 18 months longer no matter what their legal status.

Secretary Jeh Johnson issued “temporary protected status” to Syrians, saying that if they are in the U.S. as of Monday and continue to reside here permanently, they can apply for work permits and other documents to remain and live in the U.S. without fear of being ousted.

His order applies to some 5,800 Syrians who were granted status under the original 2012 TPS program, and 2,500 new arrivals who don’t have a more permanent status here.

Those eligible for TPS include any Syrian illegal immigrants who have managed to sneak into or remain in the U.S. beyond their visa expirations over the last four years.

TPS has been widely abused over the years and this provides an incentive for Syrian Muslims and others claiming to be to try to illegally enter the United States. It’s in some ways equivalent to Merkel’s open border policies though, due to Europe’s open borders and geographical issues, the impact is not the same.
