  1. Germany: Leftists, Turkish nationalists and German far-right groups march in Cologne

Left-wing, anti-racism activists marched through Cologne’s city centre on Sunday. Along their route they encountered a Turkish nationalist rally and a group of far-right activists, despite the presence of the rival groups a heavy police presence kept the peace.

The security forces were out in force for the thousands of protesters who planned to demonstrate their support for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and protest against the failed military coup, which took place in the country on the night of July 15. The march was organised by the Union of European-Turkish Democrats.

  2. Erdogan Demo Köln: Ankunft Türkischer Sportminister Kilic durch brüllendes “Allahu Akbar” begrüsst

    • @ Martin

      1. Thank you for being on the ball (as usual)
      2. They greet the turkish “SPORT Minister”…what “Sport” would that be (rhetorical question)
      3. Dont they realise that among Germans who still walk upright (intellectually, ethically) they are despised. (again: rhetorial question).

  3. GOOD. I was thinking I hope it will rain. Then I fast-forward halfway and voilà! Rain.
What a mess Germany has become. Used to be so nice and German, it’s all gone.

  4. Anyone in Germany that isn’t afraid of what Merkel and her Turks want is stupid, the left is working hard to destroy all of Western Culture and all that that culture built. This current movement is an evil that is equal to Hitler destroying the books and art he didn’t like, and to the Moslems running around destroying all of the old ancient libraries they could.

    • Looks full-bore Nazi to me.
The flags, the Sieg Heil gesticulations, the rabid throngs of genocidal Jew-haters – the streets of Germany as the setting –
      feh
      I’ve seen enough.

      • The symetry is frightening:
Hitler + the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem = Merkel + Adolf Erdogan

Somehow it reminds me of a poem by Blake which I have never quite understood, but which I found somewhat frightening:

THE TYGER (from Songs Of Experience)

        By William Blake

        Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
        What immortal hand or eye
        Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare sieze the fire?
And what shoulder, & what art.
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand? & what dread feet?
What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp
        Dare its deadly terrors clasp?
When the stars threw down their spears,
And watered heaven with their tears,
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?
        Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
        What immortal hand or eye
        Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?
        1794

          • The poem could be applied to Islam and any of its leaders, Fascism and Hitler or Communism and any of its leaders.

        • Wonderful to see you!
Been thinking about you and your poor Bavaria. It must be brutal to watch – frustrating, infuriating.

I love druggie, kookie, brilliant Blake: the world in a grain of sand

      • I’m not sure if this “Center for American Progress” is kosher. Mild, interesting website, the organization seems to be a Washington PAC funded by who-knows-who. What this filthy administration calls “The Blob”.

For all we know, the principals may be languishing in Erdoff’s prisons, drinking tea with archenemy Gulen, or filming atrocities on Turkey’s border with Syria.

        • “Center for American Progress” is definitely not kosher. Major individual donors include George Soros, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the United Arab Emirates. This is all about NWO,world socialism under Islam.

  5. This was no “failed coup attempt”–this was a very successful coup d’etat by Erdogan and his Islamic palace guard.

This is all about eliminating the rest of Kemalism, secularism and any opposition to Erdogan’s totalitarian rule.

And this is only the beginning!
