An Islamic State flag has been found in the room of an Afghan teenager accused of carrying out an axe attack on a train in northern Bavaria, according to German officials.

Five people were injured in the attack on Monday evening before the attacker was shot dead by police. Isis claimed responsibility in a statement on its Amaq news agency on Tuesday morning – its first such claim for an attack in Germany.

A woman expired in a local hospital on Sunday six days after she was subjected to severe torture by her husband.

The victim was identified as Asiya, wife of Manzoor of Sattukatla village. Police said accused Manzoor had severely beaten his wife six days back over the issue of not giving birth to a baby boy. The injured woman was admitted to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy and registered a case against the murderer.

Deradicalisation programmes for Islamic State fighters who have returned from Syria and Iraq are proving largely unsuccessful as some continue making propaganda videos for the terrorist group while back in Germany, and most rejoin the country’s flourishing Salafist community.
A radio station for research and analysis, Der Funkstreifzug, looked into deradicalisation programmes for jihadis who have returned to Germany and found that their results are limited.

  4. Full disclosure: I have been invited/asked to represent Canada in the Olympics twice: once for the women’s weight lifting team (when I was 14 – their scouts attended my martial arts class and then hounded me) and then for the women’s Judo team (4 years later – where they were willing to promote me faster than their rules said, so that I would be at high enough level to represent Canada at the Olympics…by breaking their own rules and promoting me faster than their own rules permitted). I declined both times because I refused to cheat and/or participate in a competition based on fascism and abrogation of human rights – which is the defining feature of modern ‘Olympic Games’. Just doing the full disclosure thing, since I am about to criticize the Rio Olympics…

(ANSA) – Rome, July 16 – Police have arrested two Tunisian nationals aged 26 and 30 on suspicion of raping a 16-year-old girl Sunday night near Rome’s Villa Ada park, La Repubblica daily reported Monday. The victim told police the two approached her on the street and dragged her to a shack, where they assaulted her. She escaped and stopped a police cruiser, which took her to hospital.

The 25 year-old Qandeel was strangled Friday at her family home in the city of Multan in the Pakistani province of Punjab. After going on the run, her brother was later arrested. In his confession video, he expresses no regret.
“I am proud of what I did. I drugged her first, then I killed her,” Waseem Baloch says. “She was bringing dishonor to our family.”

  7. http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2016/07/18/28-pages-saudi-arabia-los-angeles-mosque-king-fahad/

The newly-declassified 28 pages of a congressional inquiry into the 9/11 terrorist attacks has alleged possible connections to a Los Angeles, California mosque.
The report alleges that two of the 9/11 hijackers were in contact with a Saudi diplomat who was an “imam” at the Muslim place of worship.

The findings, which are littered with redactions, suggest two of the hijackers, Khalid al-Midhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi, may have been in contact with Shaykh Fahad al-Thumairy, an accredited diplomat at the Saudi Consulate in Los Angeles, between 1996 and 2003. Al-Thumairy was described by the report as “one of the ‘imams’ at the King Fahad mosque located in Culver City, California.”

    • If anyone has any doubt that Obama is out to destroy the US and Western Europe this should kill the idea, we spent lives and treasure to prevent the Russian Bear from taking effective control of the Middle East. Now Obama has given it to them on a silver platter and made the first moves to place US troops under Russia control.

Make no mistake giving Russia veto power over US operations in the Middle East is the first step to letting Russia order actions by US troops. This is going to set up a new division in the fight against the Caliphate that will hinder the west for decades.

    • It should come as no surprise that, in agreeing to “join forces with Russia” and do Russia’s bidding in Syria, John Kerry has kept parts of yet another agreement secret.

Unless I am mistaken do Russia’s bidding means they have operational control over our forces.

…..While it’s true that Obama’s original strategy in Syria served to boost the Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Nusra Front unnecessarily, it compounds the error several times over to turn around and boost Iran, Hezbollah, Assad, and Russia with this new move. There is absolutely no call for that. No legitimate U.S. policy requires it. It’s unconscionable, in fact, since we know what Assad, Iran, and Hezbollah are, and have every reason to understand how Russia will behave. With this agreement, Obama is selling out our allies and regional partners, along with our troops and the American people.

Talk about understatements, for those who think it will take 5 to 20 years for the current mess in Europe to reach the US, this guarantees that the prediction of Europe turning into Lebanon in the 1970s this summer is correct and the US won’t take much over 6 months to follow.

        • Can only be filed during a declared war, and while this is indeed giving aid and comfort to an enemy we are in active conflict with Russia on any level so the during time of conflict prevents that charge. This is one time I wish I was a lawyer of good friends with one because I don’t know what he could be charged with. If someone out there knows what he could be charged with let me know.

I am willing to bet that as this reaches the attention of Judge Jeanine and Judge Napatalino to say nothing of Giuliani and Christi. Both of the last two are going to be in the Trump administration in some position with police power. (I want Christi as AG and Rudy as head of Homeland Security).

          • Takes my breath away ~ Does anybody – besides us -know/care what this means? It wouldn’t be too hard to explain.

            • A lof of people know, they are waiting to remove him legally, but are ready and reluctantly willing to do it through revolution if necessary.

    • Groups such as CAIR, he said, “have taken over our counter-terrorism response.”

“I cannot overstate how serious the situation is,” said Higgins.

“The Muslim Brotherhood bill is a step in the right direction,” he said. “But the problem is the infiltration that’s already taken place. There are agents and actual officers of the Brotherhood that are inside our system. They’re in the White House, they’re in in the national security apparatus, they’re in our war colleges. They’re already in place.”

      • Industrial-strength background checks are top priority.

        • Speaking of Mj. Coughlin I want Trump to put him in some high raning intel position with either the CIA or the DIA. If he can’t find a position for him there Homeland Security would be nice.

          • I have a feeling he’s got good people making lists, doing their own background checks right this minute.

              • Your wishes are in the right place. If I weren’t afraid of the Evil Eye*, I’d ditto them.
                ……

  8. The U.S. tried to kill Erdogan, says editor in chief of Turkish daily

A column in a major Turkish daily claims the United States planned last week’s failed coup and tried to kill Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Ibrahim Karagul, editor in chief of Yeni Safak, a right-wing newspaper, pinned the putsch on Washington, which has given sanctuary to the controversial figure whose movement Turkish authorities claim was behind the attempted violent takeover of the state. The ongoing purge of thousands of members of the country’s military, judiciary and civil bureaucracy is ostensibly aimed at rooting out those linked to Fethullah Gulen, the aging Turkish cleric who lives in a compound in Pennsylvania.

[Turkey suspends more than 15,000 education workers in widening purge]

“The U.S. administration planned a coup in Turkey through the Gülen terror organization and tried to cause a civil war, make our people kill each other,” wrote Karagul. “The U.S. is the one who planned and applied this coup attempt. Those generals, those traitors got all the instructions from Gülen and he conveyed the orders of those who planned the intervention.”

He continued: “The U.S. administration which protects a terrorist organization should be declared as a country that supports terrorism. This country, which is still carrying out operations on Turkey through Gülen, directed its final attack especially on our country and rained bullets on our civilian people through Gülen’s terrorists.”

  9. Erdogan targets more than 50,000 in purge after failed Turkish coup
[By Humeyra Pamuk and Ercan Gurses]
    July 19, 2016

ISTANBUL/ANKARA (Reuters) – Turkey vowed to root out allies of the U.S.-based cleric it blames for an abortive coup last week, widening a purge of the army, police and judiciary on Tuesday to universities and schools, the intelligence agency and religious authorities.

Around 50,000 soldiers, police, judges, civil servants and teachers have been suspended or detained since the coup attempt, stirring tensions across the country of 80 million which borders Syria’s chaos and is a Western ally against Islamic State.

“This parallel terrorist organization will no longer be an effective pawn for any country,” Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said, referring to what the government has long alleged is a state within a state controlled by followers of Fethullah Gulen.

“We will dig them up by their roots,” he told parliament.

A spokesman for President Tayyip Erdogan said the government was preparing a formal request to the United States for the extradition of Gulen, who Turkey says orchestrated the failed military takeover on Friday in which at least 232 people were killed.

U.S. President Barack Obama discussed the status of Gulen in a telephone call with Erdogan on Tuesday, the White House said, urging Ankara to show restraint as it pursues those responsible for the coup attempt.

Hopefully he would, because an artist wants to make a leather handbag using the designer’s skin.

    Activists clash during RNC protests

    CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Hundreds of protesters and police took over Public Square in downtown Tuesday afternoon. Some of the larger groups dispersed just after 5 p.m., but about 10-20 new protesters arrived with masks on. Heavy law enforcement presence remained for several hours.

Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams was on hand most of the afternoon to try and keep groups calm. Williams said he was shoved by a person trying to get to another protester, however, there were no arrests and no injuries.

It’s the largest gathering of protest groups and the largest gathering of police since the beginning of the Republican National Convention.

Activists from Black Lives Matter, Westboro Baptist Church and the KKK were in the square and, at one time, were said to be throwing urine at each other.

Police were trying to draw a line and keep the groups separated. A police spokeswoman said that emotions were high, but not too many fights broke out.

Radio host, Alex Jones was going through the crowd with a bullhorn.

  12. Trump could seek new law to purge government of Obama appointees

CLEVELAND (Reuters) – If he wins the presidency, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump would seek to purge the federal government of officials appointed by Democratic President Barack Obama and could ask Congress to pass legislation making it easier to fire public workers, Trump ally, Chris Christie, said on Tuesday.

Christie, who is governor of New Jersey and leads Trump’s White House transition team, said the campaign was drawing up a list of federal government employees to fire if Trump defeats Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in the Nov. 8 presidential election.

“As you know from his other career, Donald likes to fire people,” Christie told a closed-door meeting with dozens of donors at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, according to an audio recording obtained by Reuters and two participants in the meeting.

Christie was referring to Trump’s starring role in the long-running television show “The Apprentice,” where his catch-phrase was “You’re fired!”

The Trump campaign did not respond to requests for comment.

Trump’s transition advisers fear that Obama may convert these appointees to civil servants, who have more job security than officials who have been politically appointed. This would allow officials to keep their jobs in a new, possibly Republican, administration, Christie said.

“It’s called burrowing,” Christie said. “You take them from the political appointee side into the civil service side, in order to try to set up … roadblocks for your successor, kind of like when all the Clinton people took all the Ws off the keyboard when George Bush was coming into the White House.”

His words were almost identical to those in my brain. And he happens to be a neurosurgeon.
      makes ya wonder…

        • Well, you know how obsessed I’ve been about the Supreme Court, compounded many times over by the sudden death of Chief Justice Scalia. Just think what the folks who brought us Roe- v- Wade could do to us over 20 or 30 years.

I guess others have seized on this awesome, long-term threat to our country. Vocal, financial support that means something.

  14. U.S. says its forces will keep operating in South China Sea

BEIJING (Reuters) – U.S. military forces will continue to operate in the South China Sea in accordance with international law, the U.S. Chief of Naval Operations John Richardson said on Wednesday during a visit to a Chinese naval base.

China has refused to recognize a ruling by an arbitration court in The Hague that invalidated its vast territorial claims in the South China Sea and did not take part in the proceedings brought by the Philippines.

China has repeatedly blamed the United States for stirring up trouble in the South China Sea, a strategic waterway through which more than $5 trillion of trade moves annually.

China, Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam all have rival claims, of which China’s is the largest.

The United States has conducted freedom of navigation patrols close to Chinese-held islands, to Beijing’s anger, while China has been bolstering its military presence there.

Meeting Yuan Yubai, commander of the Chinese North Sea Fleet, Richardson “underscored the importance of lawful and safe operations in the South China and elsewhere professional navies operate”, the U.S. Navy said.

  15. French lawmakers back emergency rule after Nice attack, inquiry demanded

PARIS (Reuters) – French lawmakers approved a six-month rollover of emergency rule on Wednesday in the wake of last week’s truck attack in Nice, the third deadly assault in 18 months for which Islamist militants have claimed responsibility.

President Francois Hollande’s Socialist government is under intense pressure over security since last week’s attack, in which a Tunisian man mowed through a Bastille Day crowd, killing 84 people before he was shot dead by police.

The extension of extra search-and-arrest powers for police was approved by 489 votes to 26 shortly before dawn in France’s National Assembly, the lower house of parliament.

Prime Minister Manuel Valls, jeered by crowds at a remembrance ceremony on Monday and criticized by political opponents over the attack, called for national unity as he presented the emergency rule bill overnight.

“We must remain united and focused because we must be strong in the face of this threat,” he said, accusing political foes of unseemly exploitation of the tragedy before the dead have even been buried.

Christian Estrosi, head of the regional government in the area around Nice, renewed charges of serious security failings and inadequate policing. He has demanded an inquiry.

  16. Ukraine shocked by ‘cynical’ car bomb murder of investigative journalist

KIEV (Reuters) – An award-winning journalist working for the online investigative website Ukrayinska Pravda was killed by a car bomb in central Kiev early on Wednesday morning, in what a senior Ukrainian official called a “cynical murder”.

Pavel Sheremet, a Belarussian known for his outspoken criticism of his home country’s leadership and his friendship with the slain Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov, was driving to work in the car of the website’s owner when it was blown up.

The killing was a throwback to the days of violence against journalists that Ukraine, under a pro-Western leadership since the 2014 Maidan protests, hoped to have shed.

“I don’t rule out that the cynical murder of Ukrayinska Pravda journalist Pavel Sheremet could be used to destabilize the internal political situation in Ukraine,” said Anton Gerashchenko, a lawmaker and advisor to the Interior Ministry.

“The investigation will examine all possible theories for the murder, firstly linked to his journalistic activities. Even a Russian connection should not be excluded.”

  18. Germany fears more ‘lone wolf’ attacks after train rampage

BERLIN (Reuters) – Germany is likely to face more Islamist attacks, its interior minister said on Wednesday, although he played down any link between the government’s open-door refugee policy and Monday’s ax assault aboard a train in Bavaria.

Anti-immigrant party Alternative for Germany (AfD) has seized on the train attack to criticize Chancellor Angela Merkel’s migrant policy, under which some 1.1 million people entered Germany in 2015, many fleeing war in Syria and beyond.

“You cannot say there is no connection between refugees and terrorism, but the danger was high before and remains high, regardless of questions about refugees,” interior minister Thomas de Maiziere said.

A 17-year-old who had sought asylum in Germany was shot dead by police after severely wounding four people from Hong Kong who were traveling on the train near the city of Wuerzburg and injuring another woman while fleeing the scene.

The perpetrator was initially thought to be Afghan but de Maiziere said on Wednesday there were indications he was from Pakistan. Officials have said the attacker came to Germany as an unaccompanied minor and registered as a refugee in June 2015 at Passau on the Austrian border.

The train attack came just four days after a Tunisian delivery man drove a truck into crowds celebrating Bastille Day in the French city of Nice, killing 84 people. Militant group Islamic State has claimed both attacks.

German investigators doubt that the perpetrators of Würzburg really came from Afghanistan. The reported ZDF “heute journal” , citing safety circuits.

Thus nourishing especially the Confessor video of 17-year-olds have doubts – partly because of the language, on the other hand because of the name of the man. Investigators consider that the young man from Pakistan could come.

In the video says the man Pashtu, a language that is used in the Hindu Kush, but is significantly different in the Afghan and Pakistani expression. For terms such as “suicide”, “governments”, “military”, “body” and “Muslims” used the perpetrator the Pakistani variant.

His speech is clearly Pakistani according to estimates by language experts against the ZDF. According to information obtained by SPIEGEL ONLINE, the accent is directly assigned to the Peshawar region in northern Pakistan. However, many Afghans spoke in the south and east of the country, where it adjoins Pakistan, this accent.

    • German Intelligence: Train Attacker May Have Pretended To Be Afghan To Gain Asylum

German authorities have cast doubt on whether a teenager who went on an axe rampage on a Bavarian train was really an Afghan refugee, saying Wednesday he might have been from Pakistan.

The Islamic State group released a video on Tuesday purportedly featuring the 17-year-old, who was shot dead by police following the train attack in which he injured five people, two of them critically.

However, sources close to the German security services now think he might have pretended to be Afghan on arrival in Germany in 2015 in order to have a better chance at securing asylum, television station ZDF reported.

In the IS video the youth uses phrases of a dialect of Pashto spoken in Pakistan and not Afghanistan and experts have indicated that his accent is also clearly Pakistani, ZDF said.

A Pakistani document was also found in his room.

The name he used in the video, “Mohammed Riyadh”, does not match the name under which he registered in Germany, Riaz Kahn, the station added.

German authorities said they had authenticated the video.

On Tuesday, authorities said they had found a hand-painted IS flag and what they called a suicide letter among the attacker’s belongings.

“The perpetrator of the stabbing attack in Germany was one of the fighters of the Islamic State,” the IS-linked Amaq news agency said.

      – ‘Calm and even-keeled’ –

Locals described the assailant, identified in media reports as Riaz A., as “calm and even-keeled” and a “devout Muslim who did not appear to be radical or a fanatic”, according to Joachim Herrmann, interior minister of Bavaria state.

“According to the investigation thus far, there was no evidence on site to point to him belonging to the Islamist network,” Herrmann said.

Police however later found a farewell letter he apparently left for his father in which he said the world’s Muslims “must defend themselves”.

“Now pray for me that I can take revenge on non-believers, pray for me that I can get to heaven,” the note said.

Prosecutors said he shouted “Allahu akbar” (God is greatest) three times as he made his way through the carriage.

An eyewitness told DPA news agency that the train, which had been carrying around 25 people, looked “like a slaughterhouse”.

Germany has thus far escaped the kind of large-scale jihadist attack seen in the southern French city of Nice last week, in which 31-year-old Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel used a truck to mow down 84 people.

That attack was also claimed by IS without the assailant having clear ties to the group.

A record 1.1 million people were let in to Germany last year, with Syrians making up the largest group followed by Afghans.

The assailant had arrived as an unaccompanied minor in Germany in June 2015 and had been staying with a foster family in the region for the last two weeks, Herrmann said.

“We must determine what the motive was and to what extent he really belonged to the Islamist scene or self-radicalised very recently,” Herrmann said, adding that the assailant had no criminal record in Germany.

[…]Before ZDF reported on the questions over the attacker’s nationality, Bavarian interior minister Herrmann had warned against demonising asylum seekers.

“It is undisputed that he was a refugee and if he hadn’t been there, he wouldn’t have committed this act. But I don’t think that we should make blanket judgements in any way about refugees.”

“You cannot say there is no connection between refugees and terrorism, but the danger was high before and remains high, regardless of questions about refugees,” interior minister Thomas de Maiziere said.

The train attack came just four days after a Tunisian delivery man drove a truck into crowds celebrating Bastille Day in the French city of Nice, killing 84 people. Militant group Islamic State has claimed both attacks.

De Maiziere said the government had introduced a range of measures to improve security in the last year but warned that Germany should brace itself for further attacks.

“Like several EU countries, like the whole EU, Germany is also in the target area of INTERNATIONAL terrorism … the situation is serious,” de Maiziere told reporters.

Investigations so far pointed to the train attacker being a “lone wolf” who had been spurred into action by Islamic State propaganda, said de Maiziere.

Police found a hand-painted Islamic State flag in his room and a letter he appeared to have written to his father which officials said read “And now pray for me that I can get revenge on these non-believers, pray for me that I go to heaven”.

Islamic State posted a video, described by de Maiziere as authentic, in which a man whom it identifies as the refugee vows to carry out a suicide mission and urges others to do the same.

It is unclear how the youth became radicalized. He was living with a foster family and had a part-time job at a bakery.

De Maiziere said Germans would have to get used to more video surveillance and police officers on the streets, and also urged mosques to help Muslims integrate.

“We need the active cooperation of Muslims living here, including the mosque communities working here. They, too, must make a contribution to integration, to prevention and to spotting the radicalization process early on,” he said.

    • Germany: De Maiziere confirms Wurzburg train attacker claims to be IS member in video

SOT, Thomas de Maiziere, German Interior Minister (German): “A possible farewell letter has been found to his father, with the message that he wanted to deal with infidels. In addition yesterday on YouTube a video of the attacker was uploaded, in which he himself calls himself a soldier of the Caliphate, declaring various positions against Germany. It concerns the publication, according to experts of a classic farewell video of a suicide attack. The perpetrator confesses to being part of the so-called Islamic State, information regarding a directive from the Islamic State is not contained in the video. We also don’t know or know yet, when the video was recorded, particularly whether it was before or after the attack in Nice happened. In any case the video is authentic. Up until this moment in the investigation, there are many indications, that this is an attack of a single perpetrator, which was instigated through the propaganda of the so-called Islamic State.”

SOT, Thomas de Maiziere, German Interior Minister (German): “There are, in fact, indications that it is possible that it is nothing to do with an Afghani but a Pakistani, this must be further investigated, you should know this. The group of people who are Pashtuns live in Afghanistan as well as Pakistan, therefore the identification is naturally difficult. Against the fact that he was a Pakistani, includes that the perpetrator often talked about his phone calls to his friends and relatives from Afghanistan. A possible motive for the action.”

SOT, Thomas de Maiziere, German Interior Minister (German): “Secondly it is important, as you know always, to have in mind, that it instigates a worrying effect, amongst young refugees. First of all, they are in particular danger. Secondly, the trauma experienced by minors whilst fleeing is greater than by adults. And thirdly through the wish to return to their families, a worrying effect is emerges, that sends the children in life danger, which will come back as they become adults. That is not a good development.”

  20. Benghazi survivor says special operators will leave the military if Hillary Clinton is elected

The best and brightest of the U.S. military and special operations community will quit if Hillary Clinton is elected president, according to Benghazi survivor and former CIA operative John “Tig” Tiegen.

Tiegen witnessed firsthand the results of Clinton’s policy when he and his comrades in the Benghazi CIA Global Response Service Team defended U.S. consulate and CIA officials from a massive assault by radical Libyan jihadis Sept. 11, 2013. He told The Daily Caller News Foundation that Clinton’s failure as secretary of state during the Benghazi attack has caused many of the nation’s most elite special operations forces to quit their jobs — a problem that will only get worse if Clinton is elected.

“There’s guys leaving now just because of that,” Tiegen told TheDCNF in an exclusive Facebook Live video interview Tuesday. “’Cause they don’t know if the call for help is going to be heard.”

Tiegen explained that there will always be operators who have a desire to serve, but the “downgrading” of the Obama administration in foreign hot spots has sowed doubt among the military and special operations community.

“If you ask for help, or you need your help, you expect the military to come help you, one way or another,” said Tiegen, noting another similar situation to his own in Benghazi occurred in Afghanistan a year later, this time with a group of stranded Marines surrounded by enemy forces. He claimed President Barack Obama’s decision to withdraw troops from the country left the Marines without a lifeline. Tiegen believes similar situations are likely to happen under a Clinton presidency.

  21. GREECE – Authorities in northern Greece say eight Turkish military officers seeking asylum here after Turkey’s failed coup attempt have been moved to a different police detention site for security reasons.

The officers flew to neighboring Greece in a military helicopter in the wake of Friday’s deadly coup attempt, triggering demands for their return from Ankara.

On Wednesday, the eight were moved from a police station near the border town of Alexandroupolis to the northern city of Kavala, 190 kilometers (120 miles) further inland. Members of Greece’s small Turkish-speaking minority jeered at the officers when they appeared in court this week in Alexandroupolis and police intervened to hold the crowd back.

They are due appear in court again Thursday. The helicopter has already been returned to Turkey.

  22. Did Erdogan Stage the Coup?
Since the coup Erdogan has launched a brutally efficient purge against his political enemies leading many to question the coup’s bizarre events.

In the aftermath of the attempted coup in Turkey Friday night, thousands of teachers as well as police, military personnel, judges, governors and more have been dismissed. The list includes:

21,000 private teachers have licenses removed
    15,000 suspended from education ministry
8,000 police officers detained or suspended
    6,000 soldiers detained
1,500 staff at Ministry of Finance dismissed
    2,745 judges dismissed
1,577 deans – Education board demands resignation
492 sacked from Religious Affairs Directorate
399 from Ministry of Family and Social Policies stripped of responsibilities
257 fired from the prime minister’s office
    100 intelligence officials sacked
    47 district governors dismissed
    30 provincial governors dismissed
    20 news websites blocked

In addition, public sector employees have reportedly been forbidden from leaving the country.

The alacrity with which the above thousands were either arrested or purged from their position, has led many to assume that Turkish President Recip Tayyip Erdogan had prepared the lists before the coup.

The European Union commissioner in charge of Turkey’s bid, Johannes Hahn, to join the EU echoed these sentiments, saying, “It looks at least as if something has been prepared. The lists are available, which indicates it was prepared and to be used at a certain stage,” Hahn said. “I’m very concerned. It is exactly what we feared.”

Moreover, many dubious circumstances surrounding the coup have led others to question whether the coup was, in fact staged, to allow Erdogan to execute these purges and declare a state of emergency where authoritarian rule will be imposed on the country.

These circumstances include the fact that the coup’s plotters:

  23. Brazilian ISIS Threatens ‘Martyrdom’ Ahead of Olympics
The jihadis, calling themselves Ansar al-Khilafah Brazil, is the first South American group to pledge allegiance to the Islamic State.

A Brazilian group calling itself Ansar al-Khilafah Brazil (Supporters of the Caliphate in Brazil) has pledged allegiance to the Islamic State, becoming the first Latin American group to do so.

The group released its declaration of support for the Islamic State on a Portuguese language channel called Ansar al-Khilafah Brazil on the encrypted messaging service Telegram according to SITE, an extremism monitoring group, as reported by Breitbart.

The declaration read that fighters “prepared for the sacrifice of becoming martyrs.” There are reports that ISIS is planning an attack on the Olympic Games, which are to be held this summer in Brazil.

“If the French police can not stop attacks on its territory, training given to the Brazilian police will not do anything,” a message on their Telegram channel read.

Brazil’s defense minister, Raul Jungmann, laid out security preparations for the Olympic Games.

“We will increase security with more reviews, metal detectors and identification checks to ensure the tranquility of the Games,” he said.

“We have delegations at the highest risk, which will already have a special protection scheme. We have 22,850 soldiers from the navy, army and air force and are already offering reserve reinforcements for any eventuality.”

  24. Giuliani at RNC: ‘We Must Not Be Afraid to Define Our Enemy’
Failure to call Islamist terror by name, he said, is ‘why our enemies see us as weak and vulnerable’ and ‘maligns decent Muslims around the world.’

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was one of the kick-off speakers at the Republican convention which began Monday in Cleveland.

Following the theme of the first night of the convention, “Make America Safe Again,” Giuliani gave a passionate speech that included the pressing topic of Islamist terror and how to defeat it.

“In the last seven months, there have been five major Islamic extremist terrorist attacks on us and our allies. We must not be afraid to define our enemy,” Giuliani said, referring to U.S. President Barack Obama’s policy of referring to Islamist terror as violent extremism without mentioning its connection to Islam.

Giuliani continued, “It is Islamic extremist terrorism. I did not say all of Islam. I said Islamic extremist terrorism.”

He explained why the current administration’s decision to leave Islamist terrorism unnamed is damaging.

“Failing to identify them properly maligns decent Muslims around the world,” Giuliani said. “It also sets up a fear of being politically incorrect that can have serious consequences. And it has.”

The former mayor was most likely referring to reports that came out after the San Bernardino massacre that neighbors of the terrorists had noticed their suspicious activity but decided not to alert law enforcement for fear of being branded racists.

Failure to call Islamist terror by name puts America in an untenable position, Giuliani continued. “This is why our enemies see us as weak and vulnerable.

Muslim Brotherhood — including Hamas — were part of the Saudi-linked Islamist network in America that assisted the 9/11 hijacker

The recently-declassified 28 pages from the official U.S. report on the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks implicates the Muslim Brotherhood — including Hamas — as being part of the Saudi-linked Islamist network in America that assisted the 9/11 hijackers and Al-Qaeda in general.

On page 7, the report discusses how a suspected Saudi intelligence officer, Omar Al-Bayoumi, may have assisted two 9/11 hijackers and had links to Al-Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden. It then states:

“In addition, the FBI determined that al-Bayoumi was in contact with several individuals under investigation and with the Holy Land Foundation, which has been under investigation as a fundraising front for Hamas.”

The Holy Land Foundation was later successfully prosecuted and identified as a creation of the Muslim Brotherhood’s wing in the United States. It was set up to finance Hamas, the Brotherhood’s Palestinian wing, which is designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the U.S. State Department.

(The Brotherhood more broadly is not designated as such, but over 80 members of Congress have endorsed recently-proposed legislation to change that.)

DURHAM — A teenaged girl accused of injuring several people during a knife attack at Dunbarton High School in February has completed a psychiatric assessment, court heard on July 19.

The teen, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, appeared in the prisoner’s box in handcuffs and said nothing during her presence in the Oshawa courtroom.

Her lawyer, Tom Balka, told the court his client completed the assessment and they now must wait between five and six weeks to view the report.

“It’s important for all of us to review it,” Mr. Balka said in court.

A girl was taken into custody by officers responding to a series of attacks Feb. 23 at Dunbarton, during which witnesses said a girl armed with two knives made her way through the hallways, slashing at victims. She was restrained by staff members.

  27. GERMANY – Calls for compulsory school Islam classes after axe attack

Local authorities are calling for classes on Islam to be brought in at schools across the country after a radicalized Muslim youth attacked passengers on a train with an axe on Monday.

“It is appropriate to bring in classes on Islam in state schools or schools overseen by the state,” Gerd Landsberg, head of the association of local councils, told the Rheinische Post on Wednesday.

In this way the state can gain more control over the upbringing of Muslim youths, Landsberg said.

On Monday evening, an attacker whom investigators believe was a 17-year-old refugee from Afghanistan, seriously wounded four people with an axe and is reported to have shouted “Allahu Akbar” (God is great) several times.

Terror group Isis later released a video in which the youth made threats in Pashto while holding a knife.

Senior figures in the church had already called at the end of May for Islam classes to become compulsory at schools.

The head of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD), Heinrich Bedford-Strohm, said that religious education was the best way to immunize Muslim youths against the dangers of Islamist fundamentalism.

He also said he was in favour of Muslim religious associations taking over responsibility for providing this education, just as churches are responsible for religious education about Christianity.

Six of Germany’s 16 states currently offer classes in Islam at school.

SOT, Steffen Seibert, government spokesperson (German): “The German chancellor expresses her deepest condolences to the relatives of a Hong Kong family as well as German citizens injured in the attack. Our thoughts with them and we wish them speedy recovery both physical and mental. The chancellor and the whole government thank all who the police officers, doctors, emergency service teams who have done everything what they could in order to protect people from further threat and help those badly wounded in the attack as soon as possible. There is a lot of work to be done by the investigation authorities in order to drawn right conclusions from this shocking attack with such dramatic consequences.”

SOT, Steffen Seibert, government spokesperson (German): “If we remember recent terror attacks – Paris, Brussels, Nice – the picture is not the same. We can say that in most cases the perpetrators were not refugees. Some of them were born here in Europe. Some of them have already been here for a long time. Wurzberg perpetrator was confirmed to be a refugee. I want to remind you what Minister Altmaier [Peter Altmaier, Chief of the German Chancellery and as Federal Minister for Special Affairs] said yesterday: the gruesome act of a single person cannot discredit a large group of people.”

  29. (This is a very informative article, it tells the politically and racially incorrect facts about slavery)

    Slavery: Racially Incorrect Facts
Truths that Obama and BLM revile.

As was recently shown, the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement, with its central claim that police around the country are hunting and killing innocent black men, is a lie.

Yet the BLM myth is enmeshed within a larger narrative, a narrative of eternal White Racism. And couched within this tale are distortions and outright crucially false ideas of slavery.

In the interest of that “honest discussion” of race that the Eric Holders and Barack Obamas of the world claim to want, I submit considerations without which no such discussion can be had.

One glaringly inconvenient truth that, odds are, few folks of any race are aware is that the very first legal slave owner in America was one Anthony Johnson—a black man. More specifically, Johnson was an Angolan who himself had been an indentured servant in the colony of Virginia before he became a tobacco planter himself. One of the African indentured servants who worked Johnson’s 300 acre plot of land was John Casor.

When Casor had completed his seven year term of service to Johnson, he asked to be freed. Johnson refused. The latter did, however, agree to lend him out to a local white colonist, Robert Parker. Yet not long after having made this agreement Johnson had a change of heart and took Parker to court where he charged him with having robbed him of his “negro servant.”

In 1655, a white court sided with the black African over a white man and, in addition to making him pay damages to Johnson, ordered Parker to return Casor to Johnson.

    http://tribune.com.pk/story/1145823/top-saudi-clerical-body-renews-fatwa-pokemon/

“Saudi Arabia’s top clerical body has renewed a 15-year-old edict that the Pokemon game franchise is un-Islamic, Saudi media said on Wednesday, although the fatwa made no mention of the successful new Pokemon GO mobile game.

Nintendo’s augmented reality app, in which players walk around real-life neighbourhoods to hunt and catch virtual cartoon characters on their smartphone screens, has become an instant hit around the world.

The General Secretariat of the Council of Senior Religious Scholars said it had revived a 2001 decree against a Pokemon card game in response to queries from believers.

The Council argued that the mutations of the creatures in the game, who are given specific powers, amounted to blasphemy by promoting the theory of natural evolution.

“It is shocking that the word ‘evolution’ has been much on the tongues of children,” the fatwa read.

It also said the game contained other elements prohibited by Islamic law, including “polytheism against God by multiplying the number of deities, and gambling, which God has forbidden in the Quran and likened to wine and idols”.

The fatwa added that symbols used in the game promoted Japan’s Shinto religion, Christianity, Freemasonry and “global Zionism”….”

“Turkey has formally charged 99 generals and admirals in connection with the weekend’s thwarted coup attempt, just under a third of the country’s 356 top military officers.

Authorities have banned all academics from travelling abroad, as the purge of state employees suspected of being connected to the failed coup continues.

More than 50,000 people have been rounded up, sacked or suspended.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to announce further measures.

He chaired a five-hour emergency meeting of the National Security Council and was expected to lay out a series of emergency measures later on Wednesday, sources told the Reuters news agency.

So far about 1,577 university deans (faculty heads) have been asked to resign in addition to 21,000 teachers and 15,000 education ministry officials.

They are suspected of having links to the alleged mastermind of the coup, US-based cleric Fethullah Gulen – who denies any involvement.

Some 626 institutions have also been shut down, most of them private educational establishments, officials say.

Meanwhile, Turkish F-16 fighter jets launched an operation to check reports that two missing coastguard vessels were trying to reach Greek waters, but details were few.

  36. Syrian opposition asks US-led coalition to halt airstrikes against Islamic State targets

Syria’s opposition appealed Wednesday to the US-led coalition fighting the Islamic State group to halt its air strikes after dozens of civilians were killed in raids near an IS-held town.

In a letter to the alliance’s foreign ministers, National Coalition president Anas al-Abdah demanded “an immediate suspension of the military operations of the international (anti-IS) coalition in Syria to allow for a thorough investigation of these incidents”.

“We believe that such incidents indicate a major loophole in the current operational rules followed by the international coalition in conducting strikes in populated areas,” said the letter.

“It is essential that such investigation not only result in revised rules of procedure for future operations, but also inform accountability for those responsible for such major violations,” it added.

Al-Abdah strongly condemned the “massacre” and held the international coalition totally responsible for what he called “the crimes that took place in Manbij”.

“The Syrian people, as you are aware, have been murdered, maimed and tortured for over five years now at the hands of (President Bashar al-)Assad’s murderous regime, Russia, Iran and allied militias in addition to ISIS and terrorist groups.”

Al-Abdah warned the killing of Syrians now at the hands of the international coalition “will only push them further into a spiral of despair and, more importantly, will prove to be a recruitment tool for terrorist organisations.”

Speaking in a live broadcast address following a meeting with the National Security Council in the capital of Ankara, the Turkish leader said the decision was not against the rule of law, and did not violate any democratic freedoms.

“The purpose of the state of emergency is to most effectively and swiftly take steps necessary to eliminate the threat to democracy in our country,” he said, as cited by Anadolu Agency.

He added that European states have no right to criticize the decision to declare a state of emergency.

Earlier in the day, the Turkish president told French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault “to mind his own business,” after the French warned Ankara about the crackdown that followed the failed coup. “If he wants a lesson in democracy he can very easily get a lesson in democracy from us,” Erdogan said in an interview with Al Jazeera, as cited by AFP.
