  1. 11 Officers Shot, 4 Fatally, by Snipers Amid Dallas Protest Against Police Killings (abcnews, July 8, 2016)
    http://abcnews.go.com/US/shots-fired-dallas-amid-protest-recent-police-killings/story?id=40422456

“Eleven police officers were shot ambush-style, including four fatally, in Dallas Thursday night by at least two snipers, amid a protest against the recent police shootings of two black men, Alton Sterling in Louisiana, and Philando Castile in Minnesota, according to the Dallas Police.

Officials said the gunmen aimed to kill as many officers as possible. Among the officers killed, at least one was a Dallas Area Rapid Transit officer and at least one of the wounded was a DART officer.

“It is a heartbreaking morning to lose these four officers that proudly served our citizens,” said Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings. “To say that our police officers put their lives on the line every day is not a hyperbole, it’s a reality.”

By 12:30 a.m. local time, three suspects were in custody and cops were in negotiations with a fourth, who was exchanging gunfire with officers.

Two of the individuals were taken in after one of them was seen carrying a camouflage bag walking quickly down Lamar Street in downtown Dallas. The individual then threw the bag in the back of a Mercedes and sped off. Police followed the vehicle and performed a traffic stop.

A woman was also taken into custody in the vicinity of the El Centro parking garage.

A fourth suspect was engaged in a shootout with Dallas SWAT officers, police said, and a suspicious package was found near the suspect’s location. Police said the package is being secured by the bomb squad.

That suspect told police “the end is coming…and there are bombs all over the place,” according to Dallas police chief David Brown. That suspect also said that he planned to hurt more officers.

“We’re leaving every motive on the table,” Brown said. It was yet to be determined if the attackers were part of the rally, but they appeared to be working together Brown added.

Police initially identified a man on Twitter as a “suspect.” In a subsequent statement, though, they referred to him as a “person of interest” and said that he had turned himself in. His status was unclear.

Despite the suspects being in custody, Brown said during a press conference early Friday morning the department doesn’t have “complete comfort level” that they “have all the suspects.”

Chaos erupted just before 9 p.m. when at least two snipers in elevated positions opened fire on officers, who were protecting protesters, police said.

Some of the 11 officers were shot in the back, police said, adding that one civilian was wounded.

In an earlier statement, Brown said that two of the officers were in surgery and three in critical condition.

Police said the suspects were situated on two different perches or garages…”

  2. Does it really matter any more if violence is perpetrated by Muslims or commie-driven outfits like Black Flies Matter? No it doesn’t. They are joined at the hip. Lovely world Obama has made.

    • You got that right, and things are going to get worse, this is the opening rounds of a Long Hot Summer of riots and attacks on police. The left has been pushing a race war for a long time and if they get real unlucky they will get one.

    • I confess, I’m shocked at attacks on the police.
It’s so far out of line, it’s like the FBI visiting people and telling them to “arm-up” ’cause they’re on a hit list…

      • Out here in fly over country most of the police (Federal, State and local) are knowledgeable enough to know individuals need the ability to defend themselves since when seconds count the police are minutes away</strong. This is partially because the Feds try to station people in the area where they grew up since they will have more credibility with the local police, and with the state and local cops because they are usually part of the gun culture.

  3. Baltimore saw steep fall in police numbers as murder rate soared

(Reuters) – Already beset by a public outcry over the high-profile death of a black man in police custody and a rising murder rate, Baltimore’s police department is facing another headache: it’s shrinking fast.

The number of uniformed officers in the mid-Atlantic city fell 6.1 percent last year and has shrunk by even more in the first half of this year, according to police data seen by Reuters and not previously reported.

The fall in 2015 was the biggest decline in police numbers among nine comparably-sized U.S. cities reviewed by Reuters. The police force in Detroit and El Paso shrank by 4.9 percent and 4.3 percent, respectively, while Denver and Las Vegas saw increases of over 5 percent. (Graphic: http://tmsnrt.rs/28SL0kK)

The reasons for the fall are unclear, but it comes at a difficult time when the number of murders and other violent crimes have risen sharply in Baltimore and many other U.S. cities.

Shrinking budgets have pressured police recruitment in many U.S. cities, including Baltimore, where police officials say they also face steep competition from neighboring Washington to recruit and retain cops. Baltimore’s most recent budget slashed municipal government, reflecting a declining tax base, the city’s tepid economy and high unemployment.

  4. California gang members charged in attacks targeting blacks

Los Angeles (AFP) – Seven members of a notorious Los Angeles street gang with ties to the Mexican Mafia were charged in an indictment unsealed Thursday for their role in attacks targeting African-Americans.

The men, all members of the Big Hazard gang, allegedly took part in the 2014 firebombing of several residences of African-Americans in the city’s Boyle Heights neighborhood in a bid to push blacks out, according to the indictment handed down June 22.

“The defendants used firebombs to drive the victims from their homes because of their race,” said Vanita Gupta, head of the Justice Department’s civil rights division. “This is a hate crime.

“Such violence and intimidation have no place in our society.”

Authorities said the attacks were spurred by the gang’s bid to reclaim control of the neighborhood’s Ramona Gardens housing project, once a bleak crime-infested area where the police dared enter only in groups.

In recent years, however, crime has lessened in Ramona Gardens and more black families have moved in.

The indictment alleges that Hazard members would spray paint or “tag” gang monikers and symbols on businesses and residences in the neighborhood and would meet to discuss ways to deter blacks from living there.

  5. Wave of anti-police protests strains U.S. law enforcement

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – A wave of anti-police protests since the 2014 killing of an unarmed black teen in Ferguson, Missouri, is creating strains at law enforcement agencies across the United States, forcing out some police chiefs and top prosecutors.

A driving force behind the change has been Black Lives Matter, a national organization whose name is a potent symbol for demonstrators railing against police violence, according to law enforcement officials and academics.

“What Black Lives Matter has been able to do is to maintain a focus on this issue and a persistence that has lasted for over two years now,” said Jody Armour, a professor at University of Southern California’s Gould School of Law.

Armour, who has expertise in police and racial profiling, called the movement “the power of democracy unleashed.”

“Black Lives Matter” has again been used as a rallying cry in the cases of two unarmed black men shot dead by police this week in Baton Rouge and Minneapolis, and organizers have begun mobilizing.

Formed in 2012 after the killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman in Florida, Black Lives Matter’s national profile exploded in mid-2014 after white police officer Darren Wilson shot dead unarmed black teen Michael Brown in Ferguson.

Decent people, do like Lot: grab the family and don’t look back!
Is it martial law yet? Snipers and assault rifles at POLICE?!
      Enough. Lock down.

      • Just wait, it is going to get much worse and not only in the US, we can expect this violence to spread around the world.

  6. Suspect in Dallas police attack wanted to ‘kill white people’: chief

DALLAS (Reuters) – At least one sniper in Dallas killed five police officers and wounded seven more in a coordinated attack that ended when police used a bomb to kill a shooter who told them he wanted to kill white officers, authorities said Friday.

The attack came during one of several protests across the United States against the killing of two black men by police this week, the latest in a long string of killings that gave rise to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Police described Thursday night’s ambush as carefully planned and executed and said they had taken three people into custody before killing the fourth after a long standoff in a downtown garage.

“We had an exchange of gunfire with the suspect. We saw no other option but to use our bomb robot,” Dallas Police Chief David Brown told reporters at City Hall.

“The suspect said he was upset about Black Lives Matter,” said Brown, who is black. “He said he was upset about the recent police shootings. The suspect said he was upset at white people. The suspect stated that he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers.”

  7. South Korea, U.S. to deploy THAAD missile defense, drawing China rebuke

SEOUL (Reuters) – South Korea and the United States said on Friday they would deploy an advanced missile defense system in South Korea to counter a threat from North Korea, drawing a sharp and swift protest from neighboring China.

The Terminal High Altitude Area Defense, or THAAD, anti-missile system will be used only as protection against North Korea’s growing nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities, the South’s Defence Ministry and the U.S. Defence Department said in a joint statement.

“This is an important … decision,” General Vincent Brooks, commander of U.S. forces in South Korea, said in a statement. “North Korea’s continued development of ballistic missiles and weapons of mass destruction require the alliance to take this prudent, protective measure to bolster our … missile defense.”

Beijing said on Friday it lodged complaints with the U.S. and South Korean ambassadors over the THAAD decision.

China said the system would destabilize the security balance in the region without achieving anything to end the North’s nuclear program. China is North Korea’s main ally but opposes its pursuit of nuclear weapons and backed the latest United Nations sanctions against Pyongyang in March.

“China strongly urges the United States and South Korea to stop the deployment process of the THAAD anti-missile system, not take any steps to complicate the regional situation and do nothing to harm China’s strategic security interests,” the foreign ministry said in a statement.

  8. So close: ALMOST getting the Trump phenomenon
    By J.E. Dyer July 7, 2016

Daniel Henninger has a great op-ed at the Wall Street Journal today, in which he opens an important window into the sentiments that drive the Trump phenomenon.

In my view, he comes really close, if still without quite nailing the matter on the head. But his observation is a usefully framed jumping-off point.

It’s not as useful that the title given to the piece is “The Trumpen Proletariat,” or that Henninger opens the bidding with Marx’s description of the “lumpen proletariat.” Since Henninger doesn’t really mean to embrace the view of Trump supporters as a lumpen proletariat, the device is a bit too precious for its own good.

But when he gets down to it, he spears a truth that an awful lot of pundits have been circling for months without impaling. Emphasis added:

What has really “angered” so many more millions who now feel drawn into the Trump camp isn’t just PC itself but that its proponents show such relentless moral contempt and superiority toward everyone else. People in America can take a lot, but not that. Marx would have a field day with how progressivism’s cultural elites have reordered social classes between the right-minded and everyone else.

Despite years of winning Supreme Court assent to their views, the left insists that the other side must remain on the moral hook. On race, sex or the environment the moralistic left seems to think it can keep the population incarcerated forever on vague, unproven charges of cultural guilt. For what?

In nearly eight years of presidential speeches, Barack Obama, by explicit choice, has come to embody the holier-than-thou idea of showing secular moral contempt for those who disagree with him.

[…]The Thursday night attack began with a volley of mortar fire on Sayyid Mohammed shrine and a nearby market in Balad, 50 miles (80 kilometers) north of the Iraqi capital. A suicide bomber first targeted policemen guarding the shrine’s entrance, allowing a second bomber to push into the courtyard with nine gunmen, who targeted security forces and civilians who had gathered inside to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, the holiday marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

  11. “April 2013

    The real story behind Srebrenica

The massacre in the UN ‘safe haven’ was not a black and white event,
    says LEWIS MacKENZIE

This week marked the 10th anniversary of the United Nations’ second greatest failure since its creation in 1945 — the genocide in Rwanda being the undisputed No. 1. With much fanfare, the ceremonies focused on the massacre of “up to” 8,000 Bosnian men and boys by General Ratko Mladic’s Bosnian Serb army in Srebrenica in July of 1995.

In the vast majority of recent media reports, the background and responsibilities for the disaster in Srebrenica were absent. Preferred was the simple explanation: a black and white event in which the Serbs were solely to blame.

As someone who played a modest role in some of the events preceding the massacre, perhaps a little background will provide some context. In early 1993, after my release from the Canadian Forces, I was asked to appear before a number of U.S. congressional committees dealing with Bosnia. A few months earlier, my successor in the UN Protection Force, General Philippe Morillon, had –against the advice of his UN masters — bullied his way into Srebrenica accompanied by a tiny contingent of Canadian soldiers and told its citizens they were now under the protection of the UN. The folks at the UN in New York were furious with Gen. Morillon but, with the media on his side, they were forced to introduce the “safe haven” concept for six areas of Bosnia, including Srebrenica.

Wondering what this concept would mean, one U.S. senator asked me how many troops it would take to defend the safe havens. “Somewhere in the neighbourhood of 135,000 troops,” I replied. It had to be that large because of the Serb artillery’s range. The new UN commander on the ground in Bosnia, Belgian General Francis Briquemont, said he agreed with my assessment but was prepared to try to defend the areas with 65,000 additional troops. The secretary-general of the day, Boutros Boutros-Ghali, went to the Security Council and recommended 27,500 additional troops. The Security Council approved a force of 12,000 and, six months later, fewer than 2,000 additional soldiers had been added to UNPROFOR for the safe-haven tasks.

Then the Security Council changed the wording of the safe-haven resolution from “the UN will defend the safe havens” to “by their presence will the UN deter attacks on the safe havens.” In other words, a tiny, token, lightly armed UN contingent would be placed as sacrificial lambs in Srebrenica to “deter” the Bosnian Serb army.

It didn’t take long for the Bosnian Muslims to realize that the UN was in no position to live up to its promise to “protect” Srebrenica. With some help from outsiders, they began to infiltrate thousands of fighters and weapons into the safe haven. As the Bosnian Muslim fighters became better equipped and trained, they started to venture outside Srebrenica, burning Serb villages and killing their occupants before quickly withdrawing to the security provided by the UN’s safe haven. These attacks reached a crescendo in 1994 and carried on into early 1995 after the Canadian infantry company that had been there for a year was replaced by a larger Dutch contingent.

The Bosnian Serbs might have had the heaviest weapons, but the Bosnian Muslims matched them in infantry skills that were much in demand in the rugged terrain around Srebrenica. As the snow cleared in the spring of 1995, it became obvious to Nasar Oric, the man who led the Bosnian Muslim fighters, that the Bosnian Serb army was going to attack Srebrenica to stop him from attacking Serb villages. So he and a large number of his fighters slipped out of town. Srebrenica was left undefended with the strategic thought that, if the Serbs attacked an undefended town, surely that would cause NATO and the UN to agree that NATO air strikes against the Serbs were justified. And so the Bosnian Serb army strolled into Srebrenica without opposition.

What happened next is only debatable in scale. The Bosnian Muslim men and older boys were singled out and the elderly, women and children were moved out or pushed in the direction of Tuzla and safety. It’s a distasteful point, but it has to be said that, if you’re committing genocide, you don’t let the women go since they are key to perpetuating the very group you are trying to eliminate. Many of the men and boys were executed and buried in mass graves.

Evidence given at The Hague war crimes tribunal casts serious doubt on the figure of “up to” 8,000 Bosnian Muslims massacred. That figure includes “up to” 5,000 who have been classified as missing. More than 2,000 bodies have been recovered in and around Srebrenica, and they include victims of the three years of intense fighting in the area. The math just doesn’t support the scale of 8,000 killed.

Nasar Oric, the Bosnian Muslim military leader in Srebrenica, is currently on trial in The Hague for war crimes committed during his “defence” of the town. Evidence to date suggests that he was responsible for killing as many Serb civilians outside Srebrenica as the Bosnian Serb army was for massacring Bosnian Muslims inside the town.

Two wrongs never made a right, but those moments in history that shame us all because of our indifference should not be viewed in isolation without the context that created them.”

  13. The Daily Caller – Judge Orders State Dept Officials Not To Take A Vacation Until They Deliver Clinton Docs

A federal judge ordered the Department of State to speed up delivery of documents related to then-Secretary Hillary Clinton’s decision to continue awarding contracts to a defense manufacturer guilty of lying to government officials.

U.S. District Court Judge Richard Leon told officials that even if it meant giving up weekends, State had to speed up delivery of all memos and communications with British defense contractor BAE Systems.

“Tell your colleagues at the State Department … weekend trips to Nantucket should be off the table,” Leon said to one of the federal lawyers in court Wednesday, according to the Associate Press. “They should be rolling up their sleeves to get this done.”

The documents are related to State’s decision to continue contracting with the U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems after the company pleaded guilty to misleading investigators concerning compliance to regulations restricting foreign arms trafficking.

The Associated Press, which filed the Freedom of Information Act suit in 2013, says it is important to have the documents before the November election, as voters will decide whether to elect Hillary Clinton as president.

“Many of those elements relate directly to decisions that American voters are going to have to make in this election,” Jay Brown, a lawyer for the AP said in court week. “At least they potentially relate to that. We don’t have the documents.”

The State Department missed a key deadline last week, saying they needed until October 17 to gather the documents.

BAE, one of the largest defense contractors in the world, allegedly committed 2,591 violations of arms control regulations. They pleaded guilty in March 2010 to only one count of conspiring to mislead the government regarding their compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. According to the Justice Department, BAE lied about a series of payments made to Saudi Arabian officials between 2000 and 2002.

After a $400 million settlement with the Justice Department, BAE lobbied the State Department in 2011 and 2012 through the Podesta Group, a powerful D.C. firm with close ties to the Clinton family. The State Department debarred the company from receiving defense contracts, but at the same moment rescinded the debarment, the Wall Street Journal reported at the time.

    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/687698/EU-population-up-nearly-two-million-last-year-immigration

“THE population of the European Union jumped to 510.1 MILLION last year, shocking new figures have revealed.

The huge rise was due entirely to the influx of migrants as last for the first time ever in the EU almost the same number of people were born (5.1m) as died (5.2m).

Eurostat, the EU’s official statistical office, said: “The remainder of the change is driven mainly by net migration.”

The international migration crisis has seen hundreds of thousands of people cross into Europe.

Eurostat estimated that the UK had a population of 65.3 million at the beginning of this year, a rise of 8.8 per cent per 1,000 residents.

Almost 13 per cent of people in the EU live in the United Kingdom, making the country the third most populous country in the bloc, second only to Germany and France.

Separate figures released last month indicated that the population of the UK passed 65 million for the first time after rising by more than half a million in a year to an estimated 65.1 million as of the middle of last year.”

  17. US House passes bill to block Iran aircraft sales

The House of Representatives has passed a measure that would block US aircraft sales to Iran, potentially undercutting a Boeing deal with Tehran worth up to $25 billion.

Two amendments approved to an appropriations bill from Representative Peter Roskam would ban sales from Boeing and from European rival Airbus, amid concerns the aircraft could be used for military purposes, the congressman said in a statement Friday.

One amendment would prohibit the Office of Foreign Assets Control from using funds to authorize a license necessary to allow aircraft to be sold to Iran. A second would bar loans from US financial institutions to purchase militarily adaptable aircraft.

The ban would need to be approved by the Senate or any bill that reconciles differences in legislation by the two chambers.

Roskam, an Illinois Republican, said in a tweet that in the vote Thursday, “House Democrats did not mount any significant opposition and, in many cases, joined efforts to block the sale.”

The news comes weeks after Boeing and Iran Air confirmed a tentative deal for the sale of passenger planes, described as a landmark for normalizing the difficult US-Iran relationship.

The deal, valued at up to $25 billion, would be the largest between a US business and Iran since the 1979 Islamic revolution.

Boeing said it had reached a preliminary agreement with the state-owned carrier.

The Islamic Republic had been an international pariah prior to a nuclear deal reached in 2015, and the US still has some sanctions in place against Iran.

Boeing archrival Airbus in January reached a deal to sell Iran 118 aircraft worth about $25 billion. French officials in April said the transaction was in the final stages of winning approval from the US Office of Foreign Assets Control, a key hurdle, because some of the aircraft components are made in the US.

Roskam and some other lawmakers have opposed deals with Iran, asserting that Tehran remains a supporter of violent jihadists around the world.

“If you wouldn’t do business with Islamic State [group], you shouldn’t do business with the Islamic Republic,” he said in an April opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal.

“The Swiss canton of Ticino has issued its first two fines to two people who violated the region’s newly-imposed law that bans Muslim women, both locals and tourists, from wearing burqas in public places.

It has been one week since the ban came into force on July 1, nearly three years after 65 percent of the region’s voters supported the law in a referendum in 2013 and six months after the cantonal parliament passed the law.

Local authorities saw their first “violators” on the same day as the ban was enforced. Nora Illi, a member of the Islamic Central Council Switzerland, and a French-Algerian businessman Rachid Nekkaz stood accused of deliberately breaching the law, Swiss Info reported.

Nora Illi was caught wearing a full-length Burqa in Ticino’s city of Locarno. She was accompanied by an avid opponent of burqa bans Nekkaz.

Both were ordered to pay fines. Nekkaz who was accused of incitement to breach the legislation was immediately fined 200 Swiss francs or US$205 while Illi’s penalty is yet to be decided. A fine can range from 100 francs ($98) to 10,000 francs ($10,200).

As the law came into force on Friday, the Saudi Arabian embassy in Bern posted a warning for their citizens planning to visit Switzerland….”

    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/687756/European-Union-policy-misguided-migrant-crisis-two-centuries

“BRUSSELS’ “misguided” immigration policy means the effects of the European migrant crisis will continue until the end of the next century, European Union (EU) bureaucrats have admitted.

Hungarian MP Károly Kontrát hit out at the way the bloc is dealing with the crisis, saying it was “endangering the security and unity of Europe”.

The fed up Hungarian state secretary for the Ministry of Interiors said even Brussels bureaucrats have admitted the migration crisis is out of control.

He said Dimitris Avramopoulos, the EU Commissioner for Migration and Home Affairs, said the movement of migrants will be a determining factor in the world until the 23rd Century – 184 years away.

A Swedish delegate at the meeting of EU interior ministers in Bratislava on Thursday said there are currently 60million refugees and 240m migrants on the move across the globe.

Highlighting the numbers, Mr Kontrát said: “These figures also prove that determined action is needed to combat illegal immigration, and this is another reason why Hungary’s policies, which are aimed at protecting the external borders of the Schengen area, are correct.”…”

The so-called Black Power Political Organization claimed on its Facebook account that it was behind the attack in which cops were picked out from an ‘elevated position’ – believed to be a multi-storey car park.

It came in the week of public outrage over the deaths of two unarmed black men shot by police.

There were initial reports there could have been up to three or four snipers involved in a co-ordinated attack during a peaceful Black Live Matter protest.

However – while two men and one women have been arrested in connection with the attacks – it’s being claimed tonight that police are operating on the theory of a ‘lone gunman’ being responsible.

    • ISIS Envy in Dallas

For the first time in my life today, I was nervous taking a morning stroll down the streets of New York—well, if not completely scared, at least seriously tense. And this was 8 a.m. or so in a decent neighborhood, Amsterdam in the eighties to be exact. Admittedly, I was feeling a little jet lagged and not quite myself, just having returned from Europe last night. But the news on arrival that five cops had been slaughtered in Dallas (my plane didn’t have Wi-Fi) was almost unbearable after having endured the “exoneration” of Hillary Clinton while I was away.

What country is this? What world?

While taking that walk, looking at people on the sidewalks wondering what they were thinking and/or about to do—everyone appeared to be on edge, even babies in prams—the connection between the Dallas attacks and the terrorism we have been experiencing from Orlando to San Bernardino was palpable, motivated by similar irrational hatreds, religious and racial. It was part of the zeitgeist.

The truth was clear and it was truly ugly and depressing: the raging Dallas cop killers suffered from ISIS Envy. Whether consciously or not, they wanted to be like ISIS. It was almost clinical, not far from all those other Freudian envies.

  22. Arab Columnist: We Must Purge Our Sources Of Islamic Extremism Like Post-WWII Germany Purged Its Sources Of Nazism

In his July 5, 2016 column for the London-based Saudi daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, under the headline “Uprooting Extremism,” Hussein Shobokshi called on the Muslim world to do what Germany did to combat Nazism after World War II, in order to purge itself of its own sources of extremism.

Following are excerpts from his column:[1]
“When the Nazi regime fell, and Adolf Hitler was defeated at the end of World War II… Germany decided to comprehensively, deeply, and seriously put its house in order. It examined itself in depth, objectively, and gravely, and found that the primary solution to its problem was uprooting the Nazi ideology.

“Thus began a decisive campaign to uproot the direct and indirect influence of Nazi ideology on anything related to Germany’s heritage, culture, ideology, arts, and politics. They dug through the ideas of Goethe, Nietzsche, and Kant, sifting through their writings with a fine-toothed comb, for fear that they had played a part in influencing others and paving a clear path to extremism and, later, to Nazism. Moreover, they also turned to [Germany’s] musical heritage, and banned performances of music by the renowned German musician and composer Wagner, to which Hitler had listened regularly. They banned his music, fearing that it would be a factor influencing people’s ideology and encouraging extremism. [2]

“Germany realized that it was facing a critical challenge that would obligate it to decide, in all seriousness, whether to be or not to be. In light of the gravity of this situation, it had to face the complex problems of Nazism unceremoniously and with an iron fist.
“This is precisely the crisis that the Muslim world is facing – its ability to deal with the extremism hidden in the pages of some writers, that are used by extremists to legitimize and ingrain their positions, acts, and crimes.

“Today we witness the repeated murders and terror [attacks] by the organizations of blood and death, such as Al-Qaeda, Hizbullah, and ISIS; they murder and destroy based on fatwas and bizarre opinions. So long as this matter is presented and handled with kid gloves, we will never obtain results that are serious, helpful, influential, or vital. We must realize fully that we need to take a number of steps to uproot the ideology of terrorism, and that the road will be wearisome. We must be convinced that we are not doing this in order to please the West or anyone else, but rather to protect the religion and Islamic societies against this danger, since they will suffer its heaviest damages and the most victims.

“This issue is crucial and very grave. Ramadan has passed; the terrorist organizations’ attacks have not ceased; and blood is running in the streets in almost every Islamic country. It is our duty to purge and purify the sources of extremism – and if we do not, there will, sadly, be no end to the ordeal of blood[shed]…
“The eyes tear up at the sights of murder and blood.”

    • Germany set up the de Nazification program because the allies insisted on it, we tended to be very nasty when they let Nazi’s go, or at least people who were true Nazi’s and not people who joined the Nazi party to avoid a long or in some cases short stays in the concentration and death camps.
