  1. 5 ISIS suspects confess to mass killing plan (asianage, July 1, 2016)
    http://www.asianage.com/india/5-isis-suspects-confess-mass-killing-plan-425?

“The five ISIS terror suspects, including brothers Ibrahim and Ilyas Yazdani, have confessed to National Investigation Agency and Telangana Intelligence officials that they had planned “mass killings” in Hyderabad before Id.

There ISIS handler, Shafi Armar, was to give them final instructions on making live bombs from Syria over Skype or video call in one of their houses. “Shafi used to show how to make the bombs and they used electronic scales to weigh the IED ingredients,” said an official.

They were awaiting orders from Shafi and had tentatively fixed the evening of Saturday, July 2 to carry out the terror strikes in Hyderabad.

Intelligence sources said, “They had purchased fire arms and some explosives in Maharashtra and other chemicals… They had gloves, masks, electronic balance and other material
for IEDs. This shows that they were ready to strike. Their target was Inorbit Mall, the IT corridor, police stations, temples and crowded places.”…”

“Militants from an Al-Qaeda-linked group, Jaysh al-Islam, have shelled a UN humanitarian convoy near Damascus, the Russian Defense Ministry said. Despite the group’s repeated ceasefire violations, the UN rejected Russia’s bid to add it to the terror list.

“Insurgents of the Jaysh al-Islam grouping, which had claimed to belong to the [Syrian] opposition, carried out shelling of the UN humanitarian convoy in [the area of] Eastern Harasta [Damascus province],” the ministry said in a statement.

The driver of a rented vehicle, which was delivering aid, was “severely wounded,” it added.

According to the ministry, the terrorists of Jaysh al-Islam also attacked positions of the Syrian armed forces with mortars in the villages of Arbil and Jaubar…”

“Former US ambassador to Ukraine John Herbst claims that President Bashar Assad should remain in office to prevent Islamic extremists from taking power in Syria.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — President Bashar Assad should remain in office to prevent Islamic extremists from taking power in Syria, former US ambassador to Ukraine John Herbst told Sputnik.

“I think Russia is right on this very specific point that the only alternatives right now to Assad are Islamic extremists,” Herbst said on Thursday. “I think Assad is a tyrant, he is brutal, but he is not as bad as the Islamic extremists.”

Herbst stated he believed the US government had been “a little bit unrealistic” regarding the Assad regime, and Washington needed to adjust to acknowledge the Syrian government’s survival….”

At least 750 citizens of Monheim am Rhein, North Rhine-Westphalia, came to the City Hall, Thursday, to discuss plans to build a mosque in the city.

      • The fix is in, she has said she will accept the recommendation of the FBI, meaning she will physically take possession and will then refuse to indict. This administration doesn’t care about the law or the constitution and is openly rubbing our noses in the fact they think they are above the law.

    • BREITBART – Obama Administration Wants to Keep Clinton Foundation Emails Hidden Until Late 2018

The Obama Administration is already infamous for slow-walking information requests, causing investigations to drag out for years, and then complaining loudly about how long the investigations are taking! But they’ve really outdone themselves this time.

The Justice Department has filed a motion in court, on behalf of the State Department, seeking to keep a vast trove of correspondence between Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s aides, and the notorious Clinton Foundation, hidden from voters’ eyes for 27 months… in other words, until October 2018, about halfway through President Hillary Clinton’s prospective first term.

The story laid out by the Daily Caller grows more outrageous with each paragraph. For starters, we learn that four senior Clinton aides — Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Michael Fuchs, Ambassador-At-Large Melanne Verveer, Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills, and Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin — were sending a lot of correspondence to the Clinton Foundation. The original tally of six thousand emails turned out to be low — very, very low. The State Department said the total has swelled to 34,116 potentially responsive documents.[…]

[…]Also on Thursday, the White House published a fact sheet called “New Steps Toward Ensuring Openness and Transparency in Government.”

  6. Saudi Arabia: Framed for 9/11, Guilty of Fueling Hate (bloomberg, June 30, 2016)
    http://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2016-06-30/saudi-arabia-framed-for-9-11-guilty-of-fueling-hate

“… Evidence for this is ample. Consider the textbooks Saudi Arabia uses in its own classrooms. A 2006 diplomatic cable, published by WikiLeaks, indicated that an eighth-grade textbook says, “God will punish any Muslim who does not literally obey God just as God punished some Jews by turning them into pigs and monkeys.”

Jubeir conceded that such textbooks have become more radical in recent years. He said many of his middle-age colleagues at the embassy don’t remember this kind of thing, but conceded that it was an issue that the government should have paid more mind. “When you don’t watch out and pay attention to the schools, it slowly creeps in,” he said, making a comparison to efforts by conservative evangelicals in the U.S. “Who would have thought that Pat Robertson’s groups were winning school board elections in the 1980s?”

That said, Jubeir pushed back on the idea that Saudis impose an extremist curriculum on the schools and mosques they support around the world. “When we fund a school it’s in the curriculum of that country,” he said. “We don’t build a school unless there is an agreement. You can’t ask us to fund the mosque in the country and say it’s a Saudi-funded mosque when something goes wrong. No it’s you guys who didn’t keep an eye on the mosque.” He pointed out that the U.S. paid for textbooks used in Pakistani refugee camps in the 1980s that also included these kinds of radical themes.

When asked about the growing number of public executions in the kingdom, Jubeir quipped, “Would you rather these people were executed indoors?” But he also insisted that Saudi justice is based on the rule of law. He said the king must approve every execution after it goes through a series of judges and court proceedings. “Do we punish criminals? Absolutely,” he said. “You commit a crime in Saudi Arabia, the justice is severe. We don’t make apologies for that. We have never claimed to be a Western liberal democracy; we have roots that go back thousands of years.”…”

      • Austria presidential poll result overturned (BBC, July 1, 2016)
        http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-36681475

“Austria’s highest court has annulled the result of the presidential election narrowly lost by the candidate of the far-right Freedom Party.

The party had challenged the result, saying that postal votes had been illegally and improperly handled.

The Freedom Party candidate, Norbert Hofer, lost the election to the former leader of the Greens, Alexander Van der Bellen, by just 30,863 votes or less than one percentage point.

The election will now be re-run.

Announcing the decision, Gerhard Holzinger, head of the Constitutional Court, said: “The challenge brought by Freedom Party leader Heinz-Christian Strache against the 22 May election… has been upheld.”

He added: “The decision I am announcing today has no winner and no loser, it has only one aim: to strengthen trust in the rule of law and democracy.”

Austria’s politics have been thrown into confusion. One of the most controversial and polarising presidential elections in recent history will have to be re-run.

This is a moral victory for the far-right, anti-immigrant and Eurosceptic Freedom Party, which launched the legal challenge last month after alleging “terrifying” irregularities.

The Freedom Party is hoping that the decision by the court will help its candidate Norbert Hofer win in the new election this autumn.

Hanging over the vote is the shadow of “Brexit” – the UK’s decision to leave the EU.

Will Mr Hofer choose to make Austria’s future membership of the EU a campaign issue?

Some Austrians think the vote by the United Kingdom to leave the EU could boost populist and nationalist sentiment in Austria. Others believe the political turbulence in Britain may make people more cautious about Eurosceptic parties.

Mr Hofer said on Friday he was pleased that the court had taken “a difficult decision”, adding: “I have great trust in the rule of law.”

Mr Van der Bellen said he was “very confident” he would emerge the winner.

“Austria needs to be well represented in Europe and the world. If we can do it once, we can do it again,” he told reporters.

Austrian Chancellor Christian Kern said the court ruling showed that the country’s democracy was strong and he called for “a short campaign, a campaign without emotions”.

        ‘Rules broken’

In two weeks of hearings, lawyers for the Freedom Party argued that postal ballots were illegally handled in 94 out of 117 districts.

It alleged that thousands of votes were opened earlier than permitted under election rules and some were counted by people unauthorised to do so.

The party also claimed to have evidence that some under-16s and foreigners had been allowed to vote.

In its ruling, the court said election rules had been broken in a way that could have influenced the result.

But it said there was no proof the count had been manipulated.

If elected, Mr Hofer would become the first far-right head of state of an EU country.

His party has based its election campaigns around concern over immigration and falling living standards for the less well-off.

After Britain voted to leave the EU, Mr Hofer said he favoured holding a similar referendum in Austria if the bloc failed to stop centralisation and carry out reforms “within a year”.

Last Sunday, he told the Oesterreich newspaper (in German): “If [the EU] evolves in the wrong direction, then in my opinion the time has come to ask the Austrians if they still want to be part of it.”

His opponent, Mr Van der Bellen, is strongly pro-EU and has spoken of his dream for a border-free “United States of Europe”.

The two men went forward to a run-off when, for the first time since World War Two, both the main centrist parties were knocked out in the first round of voting.

Following the court’s order to re-run the vote, President Heinz Fischer will be replaced on a temporary basis by three parliamentary officials, including Mr Hofer.

The new election is expected to be held in September or October…”

        • Why do they call them far right… And; if we should adopt such a label, why not call the other competitor far left? The second one would obviously fit much more nicely…

          • Once Hitler attacked the Soviet Union the left (including most of the news media) decided that that branch of Marxism had to be removed from the left.

Once the public was indoctrinated to the point the accepted this every politician the left wants to destroy has become part of the far right. The Far left on the other hand has become the moderates of the middle.

  7. Austria to re-run presidential election after results challenged by far-right candidate who narrowly lost

The former aeronautical engineer is said to have carried a Glock pistol with him on the campaign trail, declaring the public should arm themselves as a logical reaction to the refugee crisis.

If Mr Hofer wins the re-runs of the election, he would become the European Union’s first far-right head of state.

    • Is this election going to be honest or will the fraud just be harder to find.

    • Austria: Constitutional court annuls presidential election result

Austria’s Constitutional Court overturned the result of May’s presidential election, in which former Green party leader Alexander Van der Bellen narrowly defeated Norbert Hofer of the Freedom Party (FPO), in Vienna on Friday.

SOT, Gerhart Holzinger, president of the Constitutional Court of Austria (German): “In the name of the Republic [of Austria], the constitutional court has delivered a judgement in connection with the appeal issued by [Chairman of the Freedom Party of Austria] Heinz-Christian Strache against the second ballot of the presidential election on May 22, 2016 according to article 141 of the constitutional law. The appeal is allowed. The conduct of the second ballot of the presidential election on May 22, 2016 is suspended as of the announcement of the electoral commission on May 2, if a mandatory injunction is included [in the announcement]. Non-judically speaking this means that the run-off vote is to be repeated entirely.”

    • Austria: FPO’s Hofer reacts to news of presidential election re-run

Austria Freedom party [FPO] presidential candidate, Norbert Hoffer, responded to the news that there would be a new nation-wide election for the presidency, following irregularities in vote counting in several constituencies in the May election, in an exclusive interview in Vienna, Friday.

SOT, Norbert Hofer, Freedom Party presidential candidate (German): “It turned out that there were significant irregularities in this ballot, mistakes that cannot guarantee that the result corresponds with the true vote. Therefore the election will be repeated. We will lead an election campaign in the next months where we will try to convince the people that we have the right programme regarding the presidential election which is a personality contest. I hope to secure many votes.”

SOT, Norbert Hofer, Freedom Party presidential candidate (German): “I was worried of course regarding the future of the European Union. I have tremendous respect for the decision of the British, democratic decisions are to be considered. But the EU must learn from that. They should build a Europe of the people rather than a Europe of bureaucrats. That means we need better contracts and a better competence division between the union on the one hand and the middle states on the other hand. And we must include citizens in this very important project.”

SOT, Norbert Hofer, Freedom Party presidential candidate (German): “If the EU goes in the right direction, there will be no referendum in Austria and I am an optimist. I believe that people are able to learn and I also believe that the political fabric can evolve and Austria can make a great contribution to that. A better Europe is possible. There is however an exception. If the EU should decide to take Turkey or to be more central and to disempower the middle states, then Austria should ask its citizens if they really want that.”

SOT, Norbert Hofer, Freedom Party presidential candidate (German): “I would like to stress that I hope that a vote in Austria will not be necessary because the European Union will develop positively. I am convinced that Austria would not accept Turkey joining the European Union or a further disempowerment of Austria in favour of a central department in Brussels. We have to deal with that with utmost care and include the people in this project.”

    • Austria: ‘I intend to win this election a second time’ – Bellen on presidential election re-run

Green Party leader and independent presidential candidate, Alexander Van der Bellen, responded to the constitutional court’s ruling for an election re-run by declaring his renewed candidacy, in Vienna, on Friday.

SOT, Alexander Van der Bellen, Green Party leader and independent presidential candidate (German): “To prevent all speculation I want to say something very clearly. Of course I will be a candidate in this re-run election and I intend to win this election for a second time. The constitutional court has decided what they felt is right and we respect that. And we will organise a broad citizens’ movement in Austria in the coming months. With the support of very different sectors of society and the different parties we will secure a victory for the second time. As for my confidence, it was the last four weeks of the previous ballot, in the period between the first ballot at the end of April and the second ballot at the end of May. Something very spontaneous emerged there. It was not intended and unplannable. Many young people, people in their middle ages and older people committed themselves to someone like me becoming the president of Austria. I need this spontaneous support for a second time but I want to urge all Austrians to actually use their right to vote. The election will take place in late September or in early October. Our democracy needs active, committed citizens who use their right to vote.”

  8. EU WANTS AN EMPIRE’ Brussels hope to expand its influence as far as ASIA and AFRICA
THE EU wants to expand its influence as far and wide as Asia and Africa – with critics fuming it shows Brussels are planning to form “its own empire”.

The latest EU foreign policy document, titled Global Strategy, calls for an extended reach into new spheres as distant as the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa.

It also outlined “gradual synchronisation and mutual adaptation” between different member states’ individual defence strategies.

Ukip’s defence spokesman Mike Hookem said: “The EU wants its own Empire as former Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso made clear when he was in charge.

“This global strategy by the EU is yet another reason why last Thursday’s result was a lucky escape for the UK.”

    • Taiwan just said that they aren’t going to join China without a fight, the next move is up to China.

        • Close but China has been pushing Taiwan for many decades, they threaten every time Taiwan does anything and Taiwan knows that if Hillary is elected they are on their own. Without the US attack subs patrolling between the Mainland and Taiwan, Red China could take Taiwan in less then a week, possibly having control of over 70% within 3 days.

I don’t know how good Taiwans military is v Red China but a massive overwhelming attack by forces that outnumber the defenders by 10 to 1 or better will roll over the defender by shear weight.

          • I remember when the USA send some people to Taiwan to evaluate their defenses: their evaluation was that it was definitely NOT Israel. Without nuclear weapons for deterrence, not a chance Taiwan would survive a conventional attack. PRC has access to all sorts of commercial shipping vessels, so if they sent in an airborne force to secure a shipping terminal, they could use that as a beach head to bring in a big invasion force. As a practical matter, Taiwan is on it’s own. They would dearly love to have submarines, but no maker of conventional subs is going to offend PRC and sell them some. For awhile, I thought that when a US bank (Chase?) bought a German sub maker, the intent I assume was to be able to supply subs to them. But then they sold it. USA won’t sell them even F-16s. I think their best bet would be to concentrate o mass manufacture of PGMs like fiberoptic guided anti-ship missiles.

  10. Face reality: Iran created the ‘incident’ off Farsi Island in January by violating maritime law
    By J.E. Dyer June 30, 2016

Let’s be very clear about this. You are being led to believe that “the story” about this incident is that the U.S. Navy screwed up. Its boat crews were ill-prepared for the transit on 12 January 2016, during which armed Iranian forces seized the boats, raised the Iranian flag on them, and put the American sailors in detention. The task force commander in charge of the boats exercised poor judgment in authorizing the transit. Blah blah blah; nine people are being “disciplined.” The Navy is taking a fall on its sword for the public’s benefit.

But without excusing the Navy (and without assuming we’ve been told everything relevant either), it is easily possible to establish that you are being misled about this whole thing.

All it takes is acknowledging the fact that Iran violated international maritime law, by seizing the Navy riverine boats and detaining the crews.

    http://libertyunyielding.com/2016/06/30/cno-reality-iran-created-incident-off-farsi-island-january-violating-maritime-law/

      • They did everything wrong and broke the code of military conduct. This is partially the fault of their superiors who spend more time on sensitivity training and tolerance training then on how they were to act if captured. But they themselves are also to blame for their refusal to defend the boat and for telling the Iranians everything they wanted to know before they were even threatened much less tortured. Putting it politely this is because of the wussification of the US military.

The people in command want to give a deserter a pass for his crime and now this! How can anyone have the stupidity to claim that the current military is the best the US has ever had?

  16. Britain has started a REVOLUTION against ‘stupid’ Brussels elite and EU is ‘DOOMED’ (express, July 1, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/685286/EU-referendum-Brexit-Black-Swan-Nassim-Taleb-Brussels-elite

“BRITAIN has unleashed a people’s revolution against the bumbling Brussels elite and their project is now “doomed to fail”, a leading scholar and financial expert has said.

Nassim Taleb – author of the renowned Black Swan book – said people are sick of being told how to think by hapless Eurocrats who “couldn’t find a coconut on coconut island”.

The respected Lebanese professor said Brexit has sparked the “beginning of a revolution” because people have seen through the posturing of unaccountable elites who “don’t know what they’re talking about”.

Mr Taleb, a world-renowned statistician and academic, made the remarks amid growing chaos in Europe about how to deal with the fallout of Britain’s historic vote to leave the Brussels bloc.

He said the entire world has grown tired of a sneering elite which has spent the last few decades “patronising the bottom 30 per cent” whilst vastly enriching itself.

And he hailed the Brexit result as kicking off a revolutionary “wave” that is “spreading”, adding that working class people “are intelligent…and they realise globalisation doesn’t pay for them, it pays for someone else”.

In an astonishingly brutal attack on bloated Brussels he blasted: “People have just realised that these elites don’t know what they’re talking about.

“They’re tired of that and it’s a rebellion. And it’s very justified because that elite doesn’t have the intellectual level that you would expect.

“Economists can’t predict anything and are pretty much incompetent. The social scientists aren’t really scientists.

“With the elite we’re not dealing with people with huge intellect. There is some kind of paternalism, telling people how they should be voting by people who can’t find a coconut on coconut island.”

Mr Taleb’s remarks are likely to cause consternation in Brussels because he is a highly respected academic who holds professorial positions at a number of respected US universities.

He is also the author of the ground-breaking book Black Swan, which focusses on humans’ tendency to find simplistic explanations for rare and unpredictable events, and which has been hailed as one of the most influential intellectual works of modern times.

The 55-year-old scholar is also a respected economist, having previously worked as a trader and risk analyst, has consistently warned that the EU is a deeply flawed project.

Speaking to TV channel CNBC, he said Brexit could yield a number of significant global advantages including new trade deals and cooperation between the Anglosphere.

On Brussels he said: “The way they’ve been building it top down from Brussels is doomed to fail. This is 2016. They are still thinking 1950 economics.

“The idea of a union can’t come from Brussels top down, it has to come organically and unfortunately for them people are building their own relationships and countries can build relationships.

“And it’s maybe good news because we’ll be able as US citizens to go and work in the UK without having to bypass the EU. There’s an anglo-American economy that’s very robust.”

The EU was thrown into turmoil following Britain’s historic decision to quit the bloc in a referendum on June 23.

Financial markets initially plummeted amid the confusion and chaos, but have since rallied with a number of countries pledging to work with Britain on new trade deals.”

  21. Judge Jeanine: Lynch Signaling NO CHARGES for Hillary

‘All the crumbs are leading to the fact that [she] will not be indicted’

(Breitbart) – Friday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” network host Jeanine Pirro, a former county court and district attorney for Westchester County, NY, downplayed the possibility of presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton being indicted for her use of a private email server while secretary of state.

She said if Clinton were indicted, President Barack Obama would be a witness in a criminal case, which would create a “constitutional crisis.”

“The reason she will not be indicted is because her first witness as a defendant in a criminal case is the president of the United States,” Pirro said. “Because Hillary Clinton email President Barack Obama. He knew that she had a private email server – that Clinton email dot com. So he is complicit and they will not allow a constitutional crisis where the president of the United States knew about the risking of security of the United States.”
