    Dutch anti-immigration leader Geert Wilders called on Friday for a referendum on the Netherlands’ membership in the European Union after Britain voted to leave the 28-member bloc.

          Me too. They are Children of the Magna Carta and the DNA survived !
          I also firmly believe that the light at the end of the tunnel is not the headlight of an oncoming train as the “bean-counters and assorted collaborators” will have us believe. Look at some of the other European countries who are not under the dictatorship of the EU – and then compare them with Greece etc.

          It was worth it even alone to see the “superior” sneer disappear from several snouts – including some media outlets.

    Scotland may have voted Remain for the very same reason they couldn’t vote their own independence last year – subsidised and dependent on other people’s money. A moribund mentality serving a Political Class.

      • I think it was Hitler that said that if you gave him the kids for a few years he would give you the country. The left aren’t afraid of stealing from other leftists. After all their entire economic policies are lifted from Hitler and others in the Fascist movement.

    France’s National Front leader Marine Le Pen said the French must now also have the right to choose.

    Dutch anti-immigration politician Geert Wilders said the Netherlands deserved a “Nexit” vote while Italy’s Northern League said: “Now it’s our turn”.

  9. I went to bed not daring to hope, I got up hearing a left-wing French radio stations female speaking in sombre tones, I turned o the Television and I was utterly delighted. I could not vote as I left the UK too long ago, but if I could I would have voted to leave because for me it was all about democracy, the simple need to vote for the people setting policy. Nothing would have stopped me, no fear no uncertainty or doubt, that was clear to me, the undemocratic EU has to die.

    I noted that Francois Hollande made a threat to people like me living in France that we would lose benefits etc., a man supposed to be caring for people threatening peoples like that, does he have no shame.

    Well Mr Hollane I would rather die free and thanks to my English compatriots I will die a free man, I can no longer be defined as a citizen of Europe, I am free. Thanks…

Now you know why, during the Cold War the US lost every military campaign but one (Greece in the late 1940s) but won the war. I lived through times when I thought the only way out of being conquered was a nuclear war. Then I read history and know things have been this bad many times, WWII, the Napoleonic wars (despite our siding with France it was Britain fighting alone for freedom) for that matter the US revolution the world has been in massive trouble and the people defending freedom seems doomed to defeat. If they remain strong and continue to fight they win. Evil is never as strong as it seems.

          • The left is doomed, Obama and the EU are the last great hopes for the left and both are going down in defeat. This is why the left is getting violent in the US and turning to oppressive dictatorial laws in the EU.

    • They may call for referendums, but I am not sure they will get it, at the moment.
      I mean the politicians who call for referendums are popular but not as popular.
      Also in Britain situation is different than situation in other EU countries. British were always more independent from the continent, from EU.

What terms shall we find which have not been already exhausted? Let us not, I beseech you, sir, deceive ourselves. Sir, we have done everything that could be done to avert the storm which is now coming on. We have petitioned; we have remonstrated; we have supplicated; we have prostrated ourselves before the throne, and have implored its interposition to arrest the tyrannical hands of the ministry and Parliament. Our petitions have been slighted; our remonstrances have produced additional violence and insult; our supplications have been disregarded; and we have been spurned, with contempt, from the foot of the throne! In vain, after these things, may we indulge the fond hope of peace and reconciliation. There is no longer any room for hope.         • What most people don’t know is that Thomas Paine was English born and bred, he was a very recent immigrant to the colonies. I am not sure what his reasons for immigrating were but after we won our independence he went to Europe and tried to spread the revolution over there.

    • The crash is coming no matter what we do, the left has created the perfect economic storm and we all have to ride out the storm.

      Gold is a good hedge but not as good as most people think, if we go back to the precious metal money standard (which we probably will) gold will be very expensive and you won’t be able to get change for most purchases. You need a lot of silver along with the gold.

        • I won’t, remember that before we entered WWII a lot of Yanks went north to enlist and during Nam a lot of Canuks (sp?) came south and enlisted. We are brother nations from the same mother and when push comes to shove we will fight together.
