  1. Netherlands Hands $11,787 Furniture Bonuses To Migrants

Refugees coming to the Netherlands receive unconditional checks of up to $11,787 to buy furniture, with no strings attached.

Daily newspaper Brabants Dagblad Friday published the total sum a family with two children can get in each region of the country. The totals ranged from $2,445 in a number of counties to $11,787 in the city of Oisterwijk.

Some cities consider the payments loans the families have to pay back at a later point, while other hand it out for free with no strings attached.

Geert Wilders, founder and leader for the nationalist Party for Freedom, called the handouts “discrimination” against Dutch people. The handouts are not available to Dutch citizens, and Wilders wonders why the homeless can enjoy the same benefits.

Furniture stores estimated $2,223 to be enough for a family of four to buy the essential furniture needed to start a life from scratch in a new city. A spokesperson for the local IKEA said a family can get plenty of nice furniture for $11,787.

“We are currently busy reassessing the minimum income [to be able to purchase furniture], but it is lower than this amount,” the spokesman told Brabants Dagblad.

    • Government handouts – prices go up for essentials. Indigenous working-poor are excluded.

That is how you destroy capitalism. Those at the root of a new idea.

      • Where there is Marxism there is corruption, their is no way to separate them. This corruption is why the Third World countries are so poor, their leaders pocket the money and the rest suffer and pray for a few pounds of rice a month to allow them to survive.

  2. Schumer upends 9/11 Saudi suit bill at 11th hour

Last week’s unanimous passage of a Senate bill making it easier for 9/11 families to sue Saudi Arabia and other foreign terror sponsors was widely heralded as a major victory.

It’s more of a cruel hoax.

It turns out that just before the vote, Sen. Charles Schumer and other proponents of the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act stuffed an amendment into the final draft allowing the attorney general and secretary of state to stop any litigation against the Saudis in its tracks.

Yes, JASTA would remove the statutory restrictions that have prevented 9/11 families from taking the Saudi kingdom to court. But Schumer helped craft an entirely new section to the original bill, giving the Justice and State departments the power to stay court action indefinitely. All they have to do is inform the judge hearing the case that the US government has engaged with Riyadh in diplomatic talks to resolve the issue.

The quiet, behind-the-scenes watering-down of the controversial bill explains why it passed without a single Republican or Democratic objection. The White House had lobbied senators heavily to kill the bill.

The section that was slipped in at the last minute — “Stay of Actions Pending State Negotiations” — leaves it up to the secretary of state to merely “certify” that the United States is “engaged in good-faith discussions with the foreign-state defendant concerning the resolution of claims against the foreign state.”

The attorney general, in turn, can petition the court for an extension of the stay for “additional 180-day periods,” effectively delaying lawsuits against the Saudis indefinitely.

Schumer’s office pointed to the Democrat’s comments in the Congressional Record where he notes that “if the administration seeks to use this new authority, it should be prepared to provide substantial evidence of good-faith negotiations to the court.”

Lawyers for 9/11 families say they were assured by Schumer and co-sponsor Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) that the administration would have to come forward with “real and tangible” proof to secure a stay.

Still, 9/11 families say they feel betrayed.

“How do I feel about the Justice Department being given this power? Not good,” 9/11 widow Kristen Breitweiser said. “Their failure to bring their own Saudi indictment reveals how little they care about holding the Saudis accountable for either their funding or operational support of the 9/11 hijackers.?”

Don’t expect the House to remove the stay provision.

GOP Speaker Paul Ryan, who recently returned from a trip to Saudi Arabia, where he met with King Salman, has sided with President Obama against the bill. He’s not expected to let the bill come to a floor vote.

But for added insurance, the Saudi government has unleashed an army of lobbyists on the Hill, where they’re handing out a bound, 104-page document claiming, “The kingdom is one of the leading nations in combating terrorism and terror-financing.”

  4. Turkey Says It Could Seize IS Stronghold With US (abcnews, May 30, 201)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/turkey-seize-stronghold-us-39475715

“Turkey’s foreign minister suggested his country could carry out joint military operations with the United States to oust the Islamic State group from Syria.

Speaking in Antalya late Sunday, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that operation could “easily advance to Raqqa,” the main IS bastion in Syria.

American special operations forces and a coalition known as the Syria Democratic Forces have begun clearing areas north of Raqqa in preparation for an eventual assault on the city. A major player in the coalition is the Kurdish People’s Protection Units, or YPG, which Turkey — unlike the United States — views as a terrorist organization.

Turkey is part of the U.S.-led coalition against IS and a Turkish air base is being used to launch bombing runs against IS.

But the involvement of Kurdish factions in the anti-IS effort has strained U.S.-Turkish relations. According to Vatan newspaper’s Monday edition, Cavusoglu criticized the U.S. for dealing with the political wing of the YPG and said it would be better off uniting forces with Turkey.

“Unfortunately the U.S. is entering a phase that is very dangerous for the future of Syria,” said Cavusoglu. “We have warned them.”

The United States, Cavusoglu added, was not fulfilling its promises and had fallen behind on the delivery of HIMARS missiles which were due to arrive this month.

HIMARS stands for High Mobility Artillery Rocket System. Their delivery is now expected in August, according to the foreign minister.

“We are ready but instead of implementing the agreement, (U.S. soldiers) are going and wearing the patches of the YPG,” he said.

Images of U.S. special forces wearing the insignia of the Kurdish group while deployed in Syria sparked outrage among Turkish officials last week.

In light of Turkey’s sensitivities, American special operations troops have since been instructed to remove them.”

  5. Turkey Criticizes German Plans Recognize Armenian Genocide (abcnews, May 30, 2016)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/turkey-criticizes-german-plans-recognize-armenian-genocide-39478217

“Turkey has criticized plans by Germany’s parliament to recognize the World War I killings of Armenians as genocide.

The killings of 1.5 million Armenians by Ottoman Turks are widely viewed by historians as the first genocide of the 20th century. Turkey denies that the deaths constituted genocide, insists that the toll was inflated and says those killed were the victims of civil war and unrest.

Germany’s parliament is to hold a vote on a motion describing the deaths as genocide this week.

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus said Monday that Germany — home to a large Turkish community — should “act with caution.”

He said parliaments should not decide on history and that all countries should make documents available to historians so they can shed light on the killings.”

      • The large Turkish/Islamic population is going to try and take over Germany this summer no matter what Merkel says or does, she should stand up and act like an honorable person. Granted this would cause a lot of heart attacks but she still should do this.

        • Volatile brew on those streets. Neither Kurd nor Turk nor Afghan has learned to play nice, however long they’ve been in Germany.

          • Germany use to have a lot of people who loved western, maybe it is time for them to start a local version of cowboys and indians.

            • There has got to be a lot of latent sentiments for private gun ownership in Germany. You just need to have a couple of politicians to start the ball rolling in that direction. Yes, TREASON to the New World Order. Thoughtcrimes. Real self-defense. The most revolutionary word in socialism: “I” not “We.”

  11. Japan puts military on alert for possible North Korea missile launch

TOKYO/SEOUL (Reuters) – Japan put its military on alert on Monday for a possible North Korean ballistic missile firing, while South Korea also said it had detected evidence of launch preparations, officials from Japan and South Korea said.

Tension in the region has been high since North Korea conducted its fourth nuclear test in January and followed that with a satellite launch and test launches of various missiles.

Japan ordered naval destroyers and anti-ballistic missile Patriot batteries to be ready to shoot down any projectile heading for Japan, Japan’s NHK state broadcaster said.

A Japanese official, who declined to be identified as he is not authorized to speak to the media, confirmed the order. A spokesmen for Japan’s defense ministry declined to comment.

A Patriot missile battery on the grounds of Japan’s Ministry of Defense had its missile tubes elevated to a firing position.

The South Korean defense official declined to comment on what type of missile might be launched but South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency said officials believe it would be an intermediate-range Musudan missile.

“We’ve detected a sign and are tracking that. We are fully prepared,” said the South Korean official, who also declined to be identified.

  12. Italy: Priest protects runaway refugees from police after camp eviction

Between 60 and 70 male refugees found temporary shelter at the parish of St Nicholas da Tolentino in Ventimiglia, Sunday, after police officers evicted the asylum seekers from a makeshift camp at the mouth of the Roya River near the town’s train station.

Question: “How long will they stay?”

SOT, Father Francis Marcoaldi (Italian): “As long as they need. For the time they will need, I will host them.”

Question: “Have you already talked to the bishop?”

SOT, Father Francis Marcoaldi (Italian): “Not yet. Yesterday I tried to reach him via phone but he was doing a procession, he couldn’t reply and then was too late. I didn’t want to bother him during the night but later I am going to call him.”

Question: “How are you managing the meals?”

SOT, Father Francis Marcoaldi (Italian): “Thanks to the Caritas. They said that already has been the Caritas feeding them. The family of a Canadian imprisoned in the United Arab Emirates for nearly two years says the man has been acquitted of all charges in what human rights advocates have called an unjust case.

But Salim Alaradi’s family says the man has still not been released from custody, despite being declared innocent.

Alaradi had originally been on trial for terrorism charges which were abruptly dropped in March and replaced with two lesser offences.

His acquittal on Monday was on charges of allegedly providing supplies to groups in a foreign country without permission of the U.A.E. government and collecting donations without the government’s permission.

Alaradi immigrated to Canada in 1998 from the U.A.E. but returned there in 2007 to run a home appliance business. He was on vacation with his family in Dubai when he was suddenly arrested in August 2014.

Alaradi was among 10 men of Libyan origin detained around the same time; some of them have since been released.

  15. Egypt court sentences Brotherhood leader to life

CAIRO: An Egyptian court Monday sentenced the Muslim Brotherhood’s leader and 35 other people to life in prison over violent clashes after the army overthrew Islamist president Mohamed Morsi, a judicial official said.

Mohamed Badie, the Brotherhood’s supreme guide, has already been sentenced to death and prison terms in other trials.

The court also sentenced 48 defendants to jail terms ranging from three to 15 years, and acquitted 20 others.

The authorities have arrested thousands of Brotherhood leaders and members, including Morsi, since his ouster by the army in 2013.

Hundreds have been sentenced to death, although many have appealed and won retrials.

On Monday, the court convicted Badie and the other defendants of involvement in clashes in the Suez Canal city of Ismailiya that killed three people.

The country was rocked by violence for weeks after Morsi’s supporters set up protest camps and demonstrated against his overthrow.

The police killed hundreds of his supporters in clashes, including more than 600 on August 14, 2013 as they dispersed a Cairo protest camp.

  16. Turkey’s Erdogan: No Muslim family should engage in birth control

ANKARA: No Muslim family should engage in birth control or family planning, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday, calling again on pious Muslims to have more children.

“We will multiply our descendants. They talk about population planning, birth control. No Muslim family can have such an approach,” he said in a speech in Istanbul broadcast live on television.

“Nobody can interfere in God’s work. The first duty here belongs to mothers,” he said. Women’s groups and opposition politicians have criticized Erdogan, a devout Muslim for telling women how many children to have and dismissing the Western idea of gender equality.

He has previously equated birth control with treason.

  17. BEITBART – UN Chief Says Millions More Migrants Coming To Europe, Bemoans EU Leaders’ Lack Of ‘Positive Narrative’

A top United Nations (UN) official has demanded European Union (EU) leaders welcome millions more migrants from the Middle East and Africa. Promising that the “biggest human migration in history” is going to fast accelerate as “young people all have cellphones and can see what’s happening in other parts of the world”, he claimed Pakistanis and Bangladeshis were the “backbone” of the British economy.

Michael Moller’s comments come as around 14,000 — a number that is rapidly increasing — mostly sub-Saharan African migrants from safe countries are being delivered to European shores each week.[…]

Accusing EU leaders of “complacency and lack of leadership” for not having systems in place to welcome and flawlessly integrate millions overnight, the head of the UN’s Geneva office blasted European heads of state like David Cameron for failing to create a “positive narrative” about the issue. Mr Moller, a Dane said:

“What we have been seeing is one of the biggest human migrations in history, and it’s just going to accelerate.

“Young people all have cellphones and they can see what’s happening in other parts of the world, and that acts as a magnet.

Mr Moller claimed that Pakistani and Bangladeshi migration was the “backbone” of the British economy, despite the fact in recent times in the UK half of Muslim men and three quarters of Muslim women were unemployed. This is a pattern repeated across European countries, along with disproportionately large numbers of Muslims in the continent’s jails.

While the likes of the UN and Pope Francis blame this on European “xenophobia” and “racism”, this is not borne out by reality where people with Chinese and Indian backgrounds enjoy more success than their white British counterparts, a trend seen in countless other Western countries like the U.S. and Canada.[…]

  19. ISIS fighters seem to be trying to sell sex slaves online

The woman is young, perhaps 18, with olive skin and dark bangs that droop onto her face. In the Facebook photo, she attempts to smile but doesn’t look at her photographer.

The caption mentions a single biographical fact: She is for sale.

“To all the bros thinking about buying a slave, this one is $8,000,” begins the May 20 Facebook posting, which was attributed to an Islamic State fighter who calls himself Abu Assad Almani. The same man posted a second image a few hours later, this one a pale young face with weepy red eyes.

“Another sabiyah [slave], also about $8,000,” the posting reads. “Yay, or nay?”

The photos were taken down within hours by Facebook, and it is unclear whether the account’s owner was doing the selling himself or commenting about women being sold by other fighters. But the unusual posting underscores what experts say is an increasingly perilous existence for the hundreds of women who are thought to be held as sex slaves by the Islamic State.

  20. UK Labour Party Inquiry: Deny, Divert, Cover Up

How would you push away a problem you did not want to deal with? The best way, as any addict could tell you, is to pretend that you have dealt with it. The drug-addict pretends to have given up drugs. The alcoholic pretends to have cut down on drink. And the British Labour party pretends to have dealt with its anti-Semitism problem.

Since the start of this year, stories of routine anti-Semitism have emerged from the most junior levels of the Labour party (the Oxford University Labour Club) to the highest levels (a member of Parliament and a member of the party’s National Executive Committee). No one who had followed the career and hobby-horses of the current Labour party leader, Jeremy Corbyn, could have been surprised by this. Anti-Semitism is a swamp he has spent his political life swimming in. But today, this has become not just a problem for him. In recent decades, Jeremy Corbyn’s activities had been of interest only to the small number of people who had hoped to keep the Labour stable clean of anti-Semitism. Today, as the leader of Her Majesty’s Opposition, he has the opportunity either to tackle anti-Semitism or mainstream it into the UK body politic.

The evidence that he has any interest in doing the former are not good. Last month, after online media released anti-Semitic tropes shared and composed by the Labour MP Naz Shah, she was suspended from the party, pending an investigation. The former Mayor of London and Labour grandee Ken Livingstone then spent a week trying to defend Shah by (among other things) explaining which of Hitler’s early policies were not that objectionable. Every day for more than a week, the national newspapers were running headlines about Labour’s anti-Semitism problem. Finally, even this Labour leader realized that something had to be done. And of course the best way to do “something” is to announce an inquiry that will do nothing. This Corbyn soon did, announcing an inquiry that would be led by Shami Chakrabarti, a left-wing human rights advocate, with no expertise in anti-Semitism and a tendency to think well of Islamist extremists. Oddly enough, Chakrabarti — who has made a virtue of her non-party affiliation throughout her career — joined the Labour party on the day that the inquiry was announced.

  21. War Crimes of Imperial Japan: A Lesson In Moral Equivalence for Mr. Obam

(Breitbart) – President Obama made a single, vague reference to “evil” during his prepared remarks in Hiroshima: “We may not be able to eliminate man’s capacity to do evil, so nations and the alliances that we form must possess the means to defend ourselves. But among those nations like my own that hold nuclear stockpiles, we must have the courage to escape the logic of fear and pursue a world without them.”

He spoke at length about the horrors experienced by the populace of Hiroshima:

We stand here in the middle of this city and force ourselves to imagine the moment the bomb fell. We force ourselves to feel the dread of children confused by what they see. We listen to a silent cry. We remember all the innocents killed across the arc of that terrible war and the wars that came before and the wars that would follow.

Mere words cannot give voice to such suffering. But we have a shared responsibility to look directly into the eye of history and ask what we must do differently to curb such suffering again.

“Let all the souls here rest in peace, for we shall not repeat the evil,” he said, when readingthe inscription on a monument at the Peace Memorial Park.

  27. Turkey: Erdogan slams French police violence against protesters ‘fighting for human rights’

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned “the violence that was applied by French Police to the people who are seeking their humanitarian rights,” in Istanbul, Monday.

Speaking at an event in the city’s Esenler district, Erdogan stated “I am very much concerned and worried about the incidents taking place in Paris,” adding “I blame the international media which is not broadcasting these incidents to the world.” He went on to compare the Paris protests to the Gezi protests in 2013.

SOT, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkish President (Turkish): “I am very much concerned and worried about the incidents taking place in Paris. I condemn the violence that was applied by French Police to the people who are seeking their humanitarian rights. I blame the international media which is not broadcasting these incidents to the world. I invite the western politicians and humanitarian organisations to be more sensitive to those events in Paris.”

SOT, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkish President (Turkish): “You were asking me why we were acting like that against the Gezi protestors. Now, I am calling you, why are you acting like this against to the ones fighting for the human rights in Paris? Why are you doing this to the ones in Brussels? Or, why did you act like that in Brazil? It is upsetting us extremely, the silence of the ones against these incidents in Paris who were disturbed by the scenes in Gezi.”

  29. No hate crime here.
Israeli’s Ohio restaurant closes doors in aftermath of machete attack
Hany Baransi, the Christian Israeli Arab whose Columbus, Ohio, restaurant was attacked in February by a machete-wielding assailant, has announced he will soon file for bankruptcy and close his restaurant.

Only months ago, Baransi triumphantly reopened the Nazareth Restaurant & Deli, wielding his signature baseball in front of Israeli flags, only weeks after the attack by Mohamed Bary, a West African Muslim with a history of making radical Islamist statements.

The news was shared by Baransi on his Facebook page and came as a surprise to many who had followed his story.

Four people were injured in the attack, one seriously. All have since recovered.
Baransi blamed his financial woes on not receiving any compensation from local, state or federal governments following the attack. He said he personally footed the bill for the expensive cleanup.

    • Why would any businessman believe that the State owed any sort of compensation to them for a crime committed against their business? If the police blew up his business while attempting to apprehend a terrorist, he MIGHT have a case. Otherwise, it would seem like he needed to pay for the appropriate business continuity insurance but made a business decision not to.

      • That’s the most defeatist I’ve seen. They’re getting beat out of Raqqa. Nobody’s gonna be attracted to join that bunch.
