1, Restaurant closes due to threats over serving Erdogan burger.
The owners said they had been forced to close the business “until further notice” in a statement on their Facebook page.
Due to “concrete threats”, they explained that they felt unable to guarantee the safety of the restaurant’s employees – but vowed to continue to “denounce blatant injustices”.
The burger named after the Turkish leader first appeared on the menu of Urban Burgery at the end of April.
(The threats, perhaps surprisingly, do not appear to be entirely from the German government. The above video will be titled in English soon along with more materials on this story from the land that gave us the Hamburg)
2. Curious display of Soviet era military hardware in Red Square
For the first time, females march in the parade.
3. Swedes confused, upset when migrant assaults daughter in home he was taken into
A Swedish mother decided it would be a good idea to open up her home to a male refugee from Eritrea, and so she kicked her daughter out of her room to make space. That refugee then decided to sexually assault her 10-year-old daughter.
In the summer of 2015, a mother of three children in Sweden brought two third world asylum seekers into her home. To make space, she decided to move her daughter Emma into her own room.
On the eve of Aug. 18, 2015, Emma awoke to find Isaac squeezing her chest. She suffered breast pain after the incident and didn’t want to tell anyone, as she was afraid her mother would get in trouble. Emma couldn’t even look at Isaac because “he looked scary to her.”
4. ‘Praise Allah’ bus slogans get green light just months after Lord’s Prayer ad gets banned
The Archbishop of Canterbury was one of many to feature in the Lords prayer ad
The slogan reads ‘Subhan Allah’ – which translates as ‘Glory be to God’ – and will feature on hundreds of buses across the country as part of a campaign by the Islamic Relief.
The group have targeted the ad campaign to raise money for victims of the Syrian Civil War during the holy month of Ramadan in June, when muslims traditionally fast and give to charity.
Baad in Afghanistan: Virgin ‘Slaves’ Given Away to End Disputes
KABUL, Afghanistan — A teacher has received death threats from his own relatives as he battles to stop the ancient tradition of families giving away virgin daughters to settle disputes.
Khan Wali Adil has been camped out for more than three weeks in front of Afghanistan’s parliamentary compound to protest the practice of “baad.”
The 24-year-old is urging lawmakers to pass women’s rights legislation that would explicitly outlaw baad — which the U.N. has called “pervasive” but is most common among ethnic Pashtuns. The proposed law has been blocked by conservatives for years.
“Men sell their sisters and daughters under the name of marriage without their consent,” said the clean-shaven Adil, sitting in a tent erected against the wall of parliament in downtown Kabul.
6. Australia sends back Sri Lankan asylum seekers
Australia’s immigration minister says a group of asylum seekers who reached the country’s Cocos Islands territory last week has been sent back to Sri Lanka.
The vessel, carrying 12 people, came within 500m of Home Island.
Immigration Minister Peter Dutton said the asylum seekers, all Sri Lankans, were returned on 6 May.
He also announced that Australia had intercepted three asylum boats so far this year, but did not provide details on the other two boats.
The Cocos Islands are a remote chain of islands and atolls located between Sri Lanka and the west coast of the Australian mainland.
The announcement was made on Monday, the first official day of Australia’s federal election campaign.
The number of asylum seekers coming to Australia by sea has plunged due to tough policies such as offshore processing and boat tow-backs.
(Wait a minute hold on here, WOAH! If I understand this right, it means that you can stop the mass migration, tantamount to invasion of Western lands by illegal Muslims by actually doing something, nearly anything, about it? This must be causing aneurisms back in Europe)
(Looks a LOT like the greater transparency Obama promised, unless of course he meant for the NSA in which case he delivered in spades, and still keeping an eye on Trudeau over this issue)
8. Iran claims to successfully test missile that can reach Israel
Highly accurate ballistic missile has a range of 2,000 kilometers, was launched two weeks ago, Tehran general says

Are you sure it is the ‘Urban’ Burgery and not the ‘Orban’ Burgery?
Oh, wait – Orban would not have backed down…

2/ They’re awfully good-looking people, aren’t they?
When I was about 5 we visited family friends to watch the Soviet May Day parade on TV. Thick-necked old men were stuffed into uniforms with fancy decorations. If a soldier wasn’t perfect – even if he just smiled – the old men would shoot him dead, right on the spot. Metal monsters were out for exercise. They liked to crush houses and eat people.
The grown-ups talked about “dissidents” – the word defined for me by a relative who’d been liberated from concentration camp by the Russians. Who were nice except for “Communists” – sort of like a human Nazi.
To the best of my knowledge Russia still has WWII equipment (tanks and artillery) that they maintain so they can issue them if Russia is invaded. When the possibility of a foreign invasion is concerned they take paranoia to new heights. Of course given the levels of the European and American armed forces the old Soviet Era equipment could easily roll through Europe overwhelming the NATO forces by sheer numbers.
“The group have targeted the ad campaign to raise money for victims of the Syrian Civil War during the HOLY month of Ramadan in June …” (emphasis added).
I love how the Express here and the MSM in general just casually toss out things like that (the word “holy” in this case; writing respectfully about the “prophet Mo” – whoever he is – is another of their favorites). As Mark Steyn said somewhere, “He’s not my prophet, just some dead bloke.”
Still with the allah campaign in the (supposedly secular) UK, remember the “God probably does not exist” ads there, about 15 years ago? Not that long ago really but I doubt that they could get away with those now as their wonderful cultural enrichment would prevent it. The pace of change – and generally change for the worse – has been breathtaking.
