    http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/659682/Labour-councillor-Luton-Aysegul-Gurbuz-suspended-hitler-tweet-greatest-anti-Semitism

“A LABOUR councillor has been suspended after claims she made a string of anti-Semitic tweets and called Hitler “the greatest man in history”.

Aysegul Gurbuz’s disgusting comments saw her reportedly call for Iran to use nuclear weapons to “wipe Israel off the map”.

The 20-year-old from Luton became the youngest councillor when she was elected last year.

But Miss Gurbuz, a student at Warwick University, has now been suspended by the party after the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism uncovered the shocking tweets from 2011 to 2014.

The shamed councillor has strongly denied ever writing the tweets and claimed her sister may have posted them….”

  2. Sick Al Qaeda terrorists face FIRING SQUAD after brutal assassination of journalist (express, Apr 10, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/659679/Sick-Al-Qaeda-terrorists-face-FIRING-SQUAD-after-brutal-assassination-of-journalist

“TWO jihadis of the Al Qaeda splinter terror group al-Shabaab have been executed by firing squad after the brutal assassination of a local journalist.

In a strong act of high profile justice, the two members of the East African terror cell were tied to posts and gunned down after appealing their life sentences.

But instead of reducing the sentence like the killers had hoped, the barbaric pair saw their punishment increased to execution.

Abdulahi Hussein Mohamed, deputy judge of the supreme military court in Somalia said: “Both of them were found guilty of murdering journalist Hindiyo Haji Mohamed whose car was blown with explosive device.”

They were led out to the be gunned down at Mogadishu police academy, with both jihadis’ heads covered by bags.

But the blindfolds were removed before the punishment was laid down, forcing two terror assassins to stare down their imminent fates.

Abdirisak Mohamed Barow and Hassan Nur Ali both admitted to being members of the sick terror group in court.

The two were found guilty of assassinating national television journalist Hindiyo Haji Mohamed, who was killed last December at the hands of a car bomb as she travelled home from a university class….”

  3. Ex-jihadi says clerics are brainwashing young Muslims to build an Islamic state in BRITAIN (express, Apr 10, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/659391/British-extremist-reveals-banned-terror-group-brainwashing-UK-Muslims

“RADICAL Muslim clerics are brainwashing impressionable youngsters with their extreme views in a bid to build an Islamic state in Britain.

The chilling warning has come from a recruit to a feared terrorist organisation who explained how he was radicalised in the UK.

As a teenager, Adam Deen joined Al Muhajiroun, which threatens jihad on the West, lured by the “idea that every Muslim should want an Islamic state”.

He says the group, which has been linked to half of the terror attacks carried out or plotted in Britain, carefully tailored its message to have maximum impact on vulnerable youngsters.

The reformed jihadi, who now runs the outreach programme at Quilliam Foundation, told Express.co.uk: “They made Islam seem relevant.

“As a young Western Muslim, I was captivated.”

Attempting to explain his decision to join the radical Islamist group, he said: “I was in my teens, I wanted to learn about my faith and this group intrigued me and sparked my curiosity.

“They were young, I could relate to them and they spoke a language I could understand.

“They spoke of Islam in a way that made it come alive, presenting an intellectual version that was worlds away from the abstract and distant concepts I had previously been subjected to.”

The 7/7 attacks in London and the murder of fusilier Lee Rigby are among more than 20 planned terror attacks carried out by members of Al Muhajiroun in the UK.

Security expert Raffaello Pantucci, who has written a book on the subject, said the group were not just “outcasts or losers” but serious gangsters “who are good at drawing people in and giving them these very aggressive ideas”.

Michael Adebowale and Michael Adebolajo, who murdered Lee Rigby in as he walked down the street in Woolwich, south-east London, in 2013, both attended events organised by Al Muhajiroun.

At least one of the bombers who carried out the 2005 London bombings, which left 52 dead, had met with Omar Khyam, a terrorist at the heart of a fertiliser bomb plot who had connections to Al Muhajiroun.

Al-Muhajiroun, which was founded by the Syrian-born cleric Omar Bakri Muhammad in1983, operated in the UK from 1986 until it was banned in 2005.

The group relaunched several times under different names, including Islam4UK and Need4Khalafah, to circumvent the law.

Mr Deed explained it wasn’t poverty that drove him or others like him to extremism, but a failure by the Muslim community to engage young believers in a tolerant, non-extremist reading of the Koran.

He said: “The media and various academics have perpetuated the narrative that socio-economic conditions are the most prominent driver in association with an extremist ideology.

“However, the predominant factor in radicalisation is the ideology – it is the ideas that move people. I didn’t come from a poverty-stricken background or a broken home.

“I went to university, I didn’t feel angry and I was apolitical.

“Yet, I was indoctrinated with a radical Islamist ideology and became impassioned with the idea of an Islamic state.

“It was the intellectual side of Islam that made the radical ideology so appealing.

“Al-Muhajiroun made it sound smart and intelligent. The point is, the extremists were doing something that no one else in the Muslim community was doing.

“Their success is based on a dialect that made me and so many others like me feel part of something bigger than myself.

“I was part of this global struggle and challenge to re-establish my true identity, which could be born through an Islamic state.””

    • This is happening in all nations and the left has indoctrinated the public so much that way too many refuse to believe in the danger. During the Cold War they succeed in make many believe that the communists weren’t working for world domination and now they are doing the same with the Moslems. The big difference is that the communists weren’t sending trained fighters into the west to run massive terror campaigns (except for the few small groups in the 1970s) while the Moslems are openly stating they plans and what they have done to achieve their goals.

“Walking a winding path inside a thick oak forest at the border between Serbia and Croatia, Jiyan Ali cannot believe his misfortune: he barely made it to Europe across rough seas and rugged mountains, only to be abruptly halted just meters away from his dream destination — the European Union.

The 20-year-old Kurd from Rojava, Syria, has been stuck on the Serbian side of the frontier together with some 200 of his fellow refugees since early March when Balkan countries suddenly shut their borders for migrants escaping wars and poverty in their home countries.

Now there is no legal way for the group to move forward to the heart of Europe, or backward toward Greece or Turkey, and they are stuck living in a rundown former psychiatric hospital in a country that cannot offer them work or other opportunities they desperately seek….”

  5. Migrants Clash With Macedonian Police at Greek Border (abcnews, Apr 10, 2016)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/migrants-clash-macedonian-police-greek-border-38285871

“Migrants clashed with Macedonian police Sunday after trying to scale the fence separating Greece from Macedonia in the border town of Idomeni.

Macedonian police used tear gas and stun grenades in an attempt to keep the migrants at bay and they responded by throwing rocks at the police. Greek media reported that plastic bullets were also used. Greek police were standing by, not interfering.

Volunteer doctors were treating several migrants with respiratory problems, Achilleas Tzemos, deputy field coordinator of Doctors Without Borders told The Associated Press.

The clashes began soon after some 500 of the more than 11,000 migrants stranded at a camp on the Greek side of the border responded to rumors the border was about to open by gathering close to the fence. A delegation of five migrants asked Macedonian police whether the border was about to open. When Macedonian police denied the rumors, spread by activists since Saturday, over a hundred migrants, including several children, tried to scale the fence.

Macedonia and other Balkan countries to its north have shut their borders, closing what was the busiest migrant route to central Europe. The European Union has since put an end to the hopes of many migrants, saying it would only accept war refugees from Syria and Iraq as well as people from other countries who are considered in need of asylum.”

Police fired teargas and stun grenades at the refugees, who responded by throwing rocks at officers. Dozens of injuries have been reported from the scene.

        • That would help, so would land mines. Of course Europe signed the no land mine treaty and will refuse to electrify the fence until it is too late.

Refugees clashed with Macedonian police near Idomeni, Sunday, after refugees tried to dismantle the border fence and cross into the Macedonia.

Police fired teargas, rubber bullets, stun grenades and fired water cannons at the refugees, who responded by throwing rocks at officers. During the clashes Macedonian police repeatedly entered Greek territory to fire projectiles at the refugees. Dozens of injuries have been reported from the scene.

SOT, Representative of the Macedonian border police (Macedonian): “You cannot go to any country north from Macedonian, including Macedonia. So, it is not only this border, any other border other than this -you cannot go.”

SOT, Representative of Macedonian border police (Macedonian): “We are aware that you are fleeing from the violence but also you should cause violence here neither.”

SOT, Refugee, representative of refugees in Idomeni (English): “But the problem is that we cannot control 10,000 people, and we are the same, we are just refugees like them. So, we hope there is a solution to that.”

Dozens of migrants and refugees were wounded on Sunday when Macedonian police fired tear gas and rubber bullets at crowds on the Greek side of the border, aid workers said, an act Athens called “dangerous and deplorable”.[…]

      “Indiscriminate Force”

In an unusually strong statement, George Kyritsis, a spokesman for migration coordinators in the Greek government, said the use of force was unacceptable.

“The indiscriminate use of chemicals, rubber bullets and stun grenades against vulnerable populations, and particularly without reasons for such force, is a dangerous and deplorable act,” Kyritsis said.

“We urge the authorities of FYROM to comprehend the potential risks the use of violence against refugees and migrants entails,” said Kyritsis, referring to the official name of the neighbouring country, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

  6. Philippines Vows to ‘Destroy’ Militants Who Killed 18 Troops (abcnews, Apr 10, 2016)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/philippines-vows-destroy-militants-killed-18-troops-38286388

“Philippine military officials vowed Sunday to “destroy” the Abu Sayyaf extremist group with more offensives after fierce fighting over the weekend left 18 soldiers dead in the government’s largest single-day combat loss so far this year.

Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin and top military officials flew to the south to meet most of the 53 soldiers who were wounded in fighting with Abu Sayyaf militants that raged for nearly 10 hours Saturday in the hinterlands on Basilan island. At least five militants, including a Moroccan fighter, were killed, the military said.

The large number of casualties were reported as the Philippines marked the Day of Valor Saturday to remember Filipino veterans who died in World War II.

“After we grieve for our soldiers, we shall continue the fight,” Gazmin and the military said in a joint statement.

Army chief Lt. Gen. Eduardo Ano said the military aims to “finally destroy the Abu Sayyaf, especially now that we have found the exact location of the group.”

A major offensive on Saturday targeted Abu Sayyaf commander Isnilon Hapilon, who has publicly pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group and has been hunted for years for his alleged role in several terrorist attacks, military officials said.

Washington has offered a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to Hapilon’s capture and prosecution.

The Abu Sayyaf militants, however, managed to reinforce their ranks as the fighting dragged. While scouring a rebel area, the troops were met by heavy weapons fire and hit by explosions that may have been caused by bombs, Ano told reporters.

Among the slain militants was a Moroccan identified as Mohammad Khattab and a son of Hapilon, Tan said, adding that about 20 other gunmen were wounded.

Khattab, a bomb-making expert, had been in the Philippines for about three years and was trying to link up the Abu Sayyaf with Middle Eastern terrorist organizations possibly including the Islamic State group, Ano said.

While the Abu Sayyaf has been considerably weakened by more than a decade of U.S.-backed Philippine offensives, the large number of military casualties Saturday underscores the militants’ resiliency and the complexity of addressing the decades-long security problems in the south, homeland of minority Muslims in the predominantly Roman Catholic Philippines…”

  8. Spain police find hidden weapons cache, Islamic State flag

MADRID (Reuters) – Police said on Saturday they had discovered a hidden weapons cache and a home-made Islamic State flag in Ceuta, a Spanish enclave in Morocco, and are investigating a possible connection to Islamist militants.

The cache of four pistols, including an air gun modified to shoot live ammunition, two Scorpion sub-machine guns, ammunition and variety of knives, was found in perfect condition and buried on wasteland on Thursday, Spain’s Interior Ministry said.

Spanish police have detained 15 people with suspected links to Islamic State militants so far this year and 102 people on the same charges last year after police stepped up security measures following attacks in Paris.

Ceuta and Melilla, Spain’s other north African enclave, have been a focus of Spanish anti-militant investigations.

  9. Syrian PM says Russia to back new Aleppo attack; opposition says truce near collapse

BEIRUT/MOSCOW (Reuters) – The Russian air force and Syrian military are preparing a joint operation to take Aleppo from rebels, the Syrian prime minister was quoted saying on Sunday, and an opposition official said a ceasefire was on the verge of collapse.

With a U.N. envoy due in Damascus in a bid to advance struggling diplomatic efforts, the “cessation of hostilities agreement” brokered by Russia and the United States came under new strain as government and rebel forces fought near Aleppo.

The ceasefire came into effect in February with the aim of paving the way for a resumption of talks to end the five-year-long war. But it has been widely violated, with each side blaming the other for breaches. The fighting south of Aleppo marks the most significant challenge yet to the deal.

Diplomacy has meanwhile made little progress with no compromise over the future of President Bashar al-Assad, his position strengthened by Iranian and Russian military support.

A top Iranian official, in comments to Iran TV, rejected what he described as a U.S. request for Tehran’s help to make Assad leave power, saying he should serve out his term and be allowed to run in a presidential election “as any Syrian”.

Syrian Prime Minister Wael al-Halaki told a delegation of visiting Russian lawmakers of preparations to “liberate” Aleppo, Syria’s biggest city and commercial hub before the conflict that erupted in 2011. Aleppo is divided into areas controlled separately by the government and opposition.

  10. German spy chief says Islamic State wants to attack but no specific plot known

BERLIN (Reuters) – Islamic State wants to carry out attacks in Germany and the security situation is “very serious”, the head of the country’s domestic intelligence agency (BfV) told a Sunday newspaper, adding that he knew of no concrete plot to strike.

The militant group released a video on Tuesday suggesting it may carry out further attacks in the West after the Brussels bombings and Paris attacks, naming London, Berlin and Rome as possible targets.

Hans-Georg Maassen told German newspaper Welt am Sonntag the group wanted to carry out attacks against Germany and German interests, but added: “At the moment we don’t have any knowledge of any concrete terrorist attack plans in Germany.”

He said Islamic State propaganda was aimed at encouraging supporters to take the initiative to stage attacks in Germany.

Maassen said there were several cases linking Germans returning from Syria to attack plans and warned that the danger posed by jihadists from Germany remained “virulent”.

The newspaper cited a response from the German government to an inquiry from the opposition Greens as saying arrest warrants had been issued for 76 suspected Islamists believed to be prepared to use violence.

Of the more than 800 people security authorities know have travelled to Syria and northern Iraq from Germany in recent years, around 130 have died, it said.

  11. U.S. defense secretary visits India on mission to draw militaries closer

GOA, India (Reuters) – U.S. Defence Secretary Ash Carter began a three-day visit to India on Sunday, seeking to advance a relatively new defense relationship with a country Washington sees as a counterweight to the growing power of China.

In a sign of the importance Carter places on improving defense ties with India, the visit is his second in less than a year, and it kicks off in Goa, the west coast home state of Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.

For India, closer U.S. defense ties would bring greater access to American technology, and it too has been alarmed by China’s naval forays in the Indian Ocean. But India has been historically wary of drawing too near to any one country.

“India’s very reluctant to be seen as too close to the United States, but the Pentagon is very bullish on this relationship,” said Shane Mason, a research associate at the Stimson Center in Washington.

It is also a favored initiative of Carter, who established a special cell within the Pentagon last year to promote cooperation with India.

“There’s no question about where the United States-India relationship is going,” Carter said on Friday, at a talk at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. “We can control and influence the pace, and I want to do that.”

The U.S. military has made clear it would like to do more with India, especially in countering China’s moves.

    • As is reported in the article India has been very careful to avoid getting too close to any one nation, during the Cold War they were as close to neutral as any nation can achieve. Now they are facing a resurgent and aggressive China who is looking to take territory for mineral resources and places to get their restless men women. This places India in a difficult position, they want to have powerful friends without having anyone major power having enough influence to semi dictate to them. Under ordinary times they could play Russia against the US to get help but maintain their independence, now that is difficult. Putin is moving to expand Russian influence and probably territory in the middle east. And Obama has been destroying the US military and has proven that when the Democrats are in power the US allies will be stabbed in the back.

This leaves an alliance with South Korea Japan, Nam, Malaysia and the Philippines while praying that there is a major shift in power in the US. The problem with the latter is that it is looking like the organic animal byproduct is going to hit the air circulatory system before the election and the change in administration

the resulting consequences. Neither the Polish state, nor any other state in Europe is currently able to guarantee the safety of its own citizens.”

SOT, Krzysztof Kobylas, protest organiser (Polish): “The Polish government currently says ‘no’ to immigrants, that it does not agree with the amount of migrants sent by the European Union. However, we prefer to check, we prefer to control it. We want them to feel the power of our breath on their back, to feel our breath in their neck.”

The president seemed somewhat encouraged by how some of those Republicans are meeting with Merrick Garland already.

When Wallace pointed out that there’s a “fair amount of hypocrisy here,” given Obama’s own push to filibuster Samuel Alito ten years ago, the president acknowledged that both parties have turned the confirmation process into a tit-for-tat. “Saudi Arabia’s most senior cleric has reiterated his support for the kingdom’s ban on women driving, arguing it is “a dangerous matter that exposes women to evil.”

The kingdom adheres to an ultraconservative interpretation of Islam and is the only country in the world where women are not allowed to drive. Though no laws ban women from driving in Saudi Arabia, authorities do not issue them licenses.

Women’s rights activists have faced detention for trying to defy the ban.

A new terrorist group in Somalia has pledged allegiance to the Islamic State styling itself “Jabha East Africa” (The East-African Front).

In a statement the group recognized the Islamic State’s leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as the “rightful Khalifa (leader) of all Muslims.”

“We in Jahba East Africa are advising all East Africans to leave al-Shabaab and their sponsor groups, like Al-Muhajiroun, Al-Hijra and Ansar Islam,” the statement said.

“Like Al-Shabaab the sponsor groups have not understood the binding obligation of the Khalifah (caliphate).

“We are telling the mujahideen in East Africa that al-Shabaab has now become a psychological and physical prison.

“To pledge bayah to Caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is freedom for the mujahideen in East Africa and opportunity to wage jihad according to the Sunnah against the enemies of Allah.”

Despite rumors circulating that Somalia’s primary jihadist group Al-Shabaab was considering pledging allegiance to the Islamic State, the group has not yet done so. The Islamic State has accepted pledges of allegiance from terrorist groups around the world. The most notorious of the Islamic State’s vassals is Boko Haram, now styling itself the Islamic State in West Africa. Boko Haram reportedly has a higher body count than the Islamic State’s main army in Syria and Iraq.

  18. INTERVIEW With US Special Representative to Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Olson (English)

  19. Excerpt from a new book on the origins of modern jihad in today’s Wash Free Beacon. Nice summation, I’d read the whole thing if it were free.

1979: Annus Horribilis—Modern Jihad Goes Global
Book excerpt: Sebastian Gorka, ‘Defeating Jihad: The Winnable War’
Three momentous events mark 1979 as the year in which modern jihad, having evolved over the course of the century, emerged as a global movement: the establishment of a theocratic regime in Iran, the siege of Mecca in Saudi Arabia, and the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. While the conditions for an Islamist explosion had existed for a long time, these events were the spark.

  21. Sweden: Officer almost hit by getaway car of Arab school arson attack in Malmo

A police officer was reportedly almost run over at the site of an alleged arson attack at the Al-Salamah Arab school in the Jagersro area of Malmo, Saturday, as he tried to stop a suspect’s car from leaving the site shortly after the fire broke out.

A police patrol is said to have been passing nearby just as a suspect’s car was leaving the site, shortly after the fire started. One of the officers aboard the patrol stepped out of the vehicle and reportedly attempted to stop the car by firing shots in its direction. The getaway car then allegedly tried to run the officer down before driving off. No injuries were sustained in the incident.

Skane county police spokesperson Mia Sandgren stated that an investigation was launched to establish the motives and identities of the perpetrators, who are still at large.

  23. USA – Director Brennan: CIA Won’t Waterboard Again — Even if Ordered by Future President

CIA Director John Brennan told NBC News in an exclusive interview that his agency will not engage in harsh “enhanced interrogation” practices, including waterboarding, which critics call torture — even if ordered to by a future president.

“I will not agree to carry out some of these tactics and techniques I’ve heard bandied about because this institution needs to endure,” Brennan said.

Two of the remaining Republican candidates for president have said that they are open to use of the technique, which was banned in 2009.

Donald Trump has gone as far as saying said he’d definitely bring back waterboarding and “a hell of a lot worse” to extract information from potential terrorists.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has said he does not consider waterboarding to be torture under the strict definition of the law. He said he would “not bring it back in any sort of widespread use” by rank and file soldiers and agents, but as commander-in-chief he would “use whatever enhanced interrogation methods to keep this country safe.”

( link : Trump Needs His ‘Own Damn Bucket’ to Waterboard, Ex-CIA Chief Says )

The CIA used waterboarding and other techniques on terrorist suspects after the 9/11 attacks. But, in January 2009, President Obama banned the practices in his first few days in office with an executive order.

When asked specifically about waterboarding Brennan could not have been clearer.

“Absolutely, I would not agree to having any CIA officer carrying out waterboarding again,” he said.

More of the NBC NEWS exclusive interview with CIA Director John Brennan will be broadcast on NBC Nightly News Monday

  25. Turkey asks Germany to prosecute comedian for insulting Erdogan (DW, Apr 10, 2016)
    http://www.dw.com/en/turkey-asks-germany-to-prosecute-comedian-for-insulting-erdogan/a-19177479

“Turkey has requested Germany criminally prosecute a comedian for insulting Turkish President Erdogan. Prosecutors are already looking into the case.

Turkey’s ambassador in Berlin on Sunday sent a diplomatic note to the Foreign Ministry requesting Germany criminally prosecute comedian Jan Böhmermann for reading a poem insulting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Böhmermann, an award winning comedian and host of late-night talk show Neo Magazin Royale, added gas to a diplomatic spat between Germany and Turkey over free speech with his March 31 show on public television.

On the broadcast, Böhmermann, seated before the Turkish flag and a portrait of Erdogan, accused the president of, among other things, sex with goats and sheep. Böhmermann also charged that Erdogan loves to “repress minorities, kick Kurds and beat Christians while watching child porn.”

Böhmermann aired the poem after Turkish officials called in Germany’s ambassador to protest a satirical song aired on NDR, another public broadcaster, that had lampooned Erdogan in much tamer language. That two-minute clip, “Erdowie, Erdowo, Erdogan,” took aim at the president for his alleged spending excesses and his government’s crackdown on civil liberties.

While the German government defended freedom of expression in the case of the satirical song, Angela Merkel criticized Böhmermann poem as “deliberately offensive” and discussed the matter with Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.

After officials removed Böhmermann’s clip from the air and internet, the comedian said he and his employer had “demonstrated the limits of satire in Germany – finally!” Although the clip can still be found through Google, ZDF has combed YouTube to remove links.

German prosecutors have started an investigation into whether to start criminal proceedings against Böhmermann under laws that criminalizes insulting foreign institutions and representatives.

Such an investigation could only be launched if Erdogan requests it and German authorities find enough evidence to pursue prosecution….”

“A video purportedly showing parts of an interview with the Afghan MP and Cleric Qazi Nazir Ahmad Hanafi has put him under fire as the video has rapidly gone viral on the internet.

The video shows a female foreign reporter asking questions from Qazi Hanafi regarding violence against women.

The reporter apparently faces a harsh response from Hanafi as she asks ‘What if a husband rapes his wife? Is that domestic abuse? Should the man be punished or should the woman be punished?’

In response, Hanafi asks the reporter to clarify rape and the reporter responds saying ‘If he forces sex upon his wife’.

The remarks apparently infuriates Hanafi as he responds saying ‘There is a kind of rape you have and another kind we have in Islam.”

Hanafi harshly asks the reporter to stop and continues to his remarks saying ‘Maybe I should give you to an Afghan man to take your nose off’.

However, Hanafi has rejected that he has harshly behaved with the reporter and told Radio Free Europe in an interview that the video could have been manipulated.”
