    http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/656063/Tony-Blair-Britain-MUST-send-in-ground-troops-to-crush-ISIS

“TONY Blair has urged Britain to send “on the ground” support to local allies in a bid to wipe out Islamic State.

The former Prime Minister said the UK should follow in America’s footsteps and send in ground forces to support local militias.

He added that allowing Islamic State’s army to surge in size in Libya was “extraordinary”.

Mr Blair said: We can use local allies in the fight, but they need equipment and where they need active, on-the-ground, military support from us, we should give it.

“The Americans are doing this now – at least to a degree and with effect.

“But to have allowed ISIS to become the largest militia in Libya right on Europe’s doorstep is extraordinary. It has to be crushed.”

He went on to argue that a new strategy was needed to defeat extremism that included greater co-operation between intelligence agencies….”

    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/656066/German-railway-launches-women-children-carriages-sex-attack-fears-Cologne

“A GERMAN railway has sparked controversy after it revealed plans to launch a women and children only carriage on its trains.

The German Regiobahn line made the announcement revealing it the launch of the new compartment on its Leipzig and Chemnitz trains, in east Germany.

However, the decision to only admit women and children in one section of the train has caused a stir in the European country.

Germany will join India, Mexico, Brazil, Egypt and Indonesia as a select few countries that have segregated carriages for women and children.

The special carriage will be will by next to the customer service section, according to Breitbart London.

A spokesman for the railway said: “The local proximity to the customer service representative is chosen deliberately.”

The news comes following the sex attacks in Germany on New Year’s Eve, allegedly carried out by dozens of migrants….”

    • I am torn, this keeps the women and kids somewhat safe and this is good. It also bows to Sharia and this is bad.

  3. REVEALED: British soldiers SPY on vile Islamic State to defeat jihadi death cult in Libya (express, Mar 28, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/656040/British-soldiers-SPY-Islamic-State-jihadi-death-cult-Libya

“ISLAMIC State strongholds in Libya have been spied on by British soldiers, officials have revealed.

British and American soldiers were sent to Libya to scope out the vile cult’s positions and to asses Libyan logistic needs.

The operation saw small assessments teams of three or four soldiers sent to areas west of Sirte, which has become a jihadi haven.

Brigadier-General Mahmoud Zaghil, who runs military operations in the central region, said: “They came about six months ago, as a communications and assessment team, they came close to Sirte.”

The military official said his forces are facing the extremist group, who killed more than 30 people in Brussels on Tuesday, with ancient weaponry gathered from the era of Colonel Gaddafi.

Brigadier-General Zaghil added that his forces, which are loyal to the rival government that controls Tripoli, need the west’s support as the country is under a five-year arms embargo…”

    http://www.voanews.com/content/syria-palmyra-will-be-launching-point-carry-new-historical-significance/3257516.html?

“Syria’s army says the recapture of Palmyra will be a launching point for expanded operations against the Islamic State group, while the country’s antiquities chief declared the already historic site will carry even greater significance as a survivor of the militants’ campaign.

Backed by Russian airstrikes, pro-Syrian forces reclaimed control of Palmyra after a 10-month Islamic State occupation that included the destruction of several monuments dating back nearly 2,000 years.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the offensive left 400 militants dead along with more than 180 pro-government fighters. President Bashar al-Assad hailed it as an “important achievement, and fresh proof of the efficiency of the Syrian army and its allies in fighting terrorism.”

State media said experts will be in Palmyra in the coming days to assess the damage done by the militants who have destroyed relics they deemed idolatrous in places they seized during the past two years in both Syria and Iraq….”

  5. How law firm drummed up cases against British troops: Agent paid to hand out questionnaires that were later turned into unsigned witness statements (dailymail, Mar 28, 2016)
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3511899/How-law-firm-drummed-cases-against-British-troops-Agent-paid-hand-questionnaires-later-turned-unsigned-witness-statements.html

“A law firm hounding British troops paid an agent to hand out questionnaires to Iraqi civilians as a basis for making claims against British troops, it emerged yesterday.

They were turned into unsigned witness statements in the UK by lawyer Phil Shiner’s firm, which then lodged claims in court.

Details of the practice were withheld from an investigation into the death of an Iraqi civilian shot dead by British soldier Richard Catterall.

But after a Ministry of Defence complaint the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) will investigate the questionnaires as part of a wider probe into fears Public Interest Lawyers acted against the solicitors’ code of conduct.

The firm, which has received millions of pounds in taxpayer-funded legal aid, has been under investigation by the SRA for a year. The Government has submitted several documents that came to light during the £200,000 Iraqi Fatality Investigations (IFI) inquiry, including evidence an agent named Abu Jamal, later employed by the firm, touted for business, which is against the rules for solicitors….”

BEIJING (AP) — China has ordered its armed forces to end all paid outside work within the next three years as part of a push to make the world’s largest standing military more professional and battle ready.

  7. U.S. military’s ability to fight major overseas war in doubt

Beneath the positive press the military receives for preparing to mold women into the nation’s first female ground warriors this year, there is another story far more basic to war fighting.

Some lawmakers are warning that budget cuts, a troop drawdown and a decade and a half of wars have created spotty combat readiness, overburdened forces, more fatal accidents and beat-up weapons.

  8. Japan opens radar station close to disputed isles, drawing angry China response

YONAGUNI, Japan (Reuters) – Japan on Monday switched on a radar station in the East China Sea, giving it a permanent intelligence gathering post close to Taiwan and a group of islands disputed by Japan and China, drawing an angry response from Beijing.

The new Self Defence Force base on the island of Yonaguni is at the western extreme of a string of Japanese islands in the East China Sea, 150 km (90 miles) south of the disputed islands known as the Senkaku islands in Japan and the Diaoyu in China.

China has raised concerns with its neighbors and in the West with its assertive claim to most of the South China Sea where the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan and Brunei have overlapping claims. Japan has long been mired in a territorial dispute with China over the East China Sea islands.

“Until yesterday, there was no coastal observation unit west of the main Okinawa island. It was a vacuum we needed to fill,” said Daigo Shiomitsu, a Ground Self Defence Force lieutenant colonel who commands the new base on Yonaguni.

“It means we can keep watch on territory surrounding Japan and respond to all situations.”

Shiomitsu on Monday attended a ceremony at the base with 160 military personnel and around 50 dignitaries. Construction of some buildings, which feature white walls and traditional Okinawan red-tiled roofs, is still unfinished.

  9. Israel urges citizens to leave Turkey, cites Islamic State threat

JERUSALEM (Reuters) – Israel urged its citizens in Turkey on Monday to leave “as soon as possible” in an upgraded travel advisory predicting possible follow-up attacks to the March 19 suicide bombing in Istanbul blamed on Islamic State.

Three Israeli tourists and an Iranian were killed in the Istanbul attack, which prompted the counter-terrorism bureau in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office to issue a generalized “level 3” warning against travel to Turkey.

A statement by the bureau raised this to “level 2” on Monday, signifying what it called a “high concrete threat” that Islamic State or similar groups would attack Turkish tourist attractions. It did not elaborate on what prompted the alert.

  11. DENMARK Fit In Or Get Out: Muslim Extremists’ Days in Denmark Are Numbered

The Danish People’s Party wants Muslim extremists to have their citizenship revoked and be deported from Denmark back to their home countries.

According to the Danish newspaper Extrabladet, there are many indications that the immigration-critical People’s Party’s bill is destined to get support from fellow parliamentary parties.

The background to the new bill is a documentary series that was aired by the Danish TV-channel TV2 earlier this month . In the documentary, two Danish Muslims visited mosques with a hidden camera. The film series featured secretly filmed imams boasting how Islam is about to conquer Europe and urging Muslims not to work, but instead grab as many benefits as possible.

An imam was notably caught on film preaching to his congregation not to absorb the Danish culture because of the rapid growth of Islam in the country. Another one called on his fellow Muslims to stone unfaithful women in accordance with sharia law. Another one said it was okay to hit their children if they did not worship Allah.

The documentary series has received considerable attention in Denmark, and a proposal to revoke the citizenship of Muslim leaders who teach Muslim extremism was presented by the Danish People’s Party (Danske Folkepartiet).

“It should be possible to withdraw citizenship,” the DF’s integration policy spokesman Martin Henriksen said.

According to him, Denmark should be able to sentence imams and Muslim leaders to jail or fines if they preach doctrines contrary to the laws of Denmark and Danish values.

“There are situations, when you with the constitution in hand can say that something is at odds with the fundamental values of Danish society,” Henriksen argues.

The proposal has already received support from the ruling Liberal Party, the Conservative Party, as well as the oppositional Social Democratic Party, which means that the DF’s bill will most likely get through the parliament. The recent Islamist bombings in Brussels are believed to have increased support for the bill.

  12. John Kerry: Candidates’ rhetoric on Muslims ‘upsets people’s sense of equilibrium’

US Secretary of State John Kerry has noted regretfully that “every leader” he meets overseas is completely baffled by the American political rhetoric regarding Muslims in the wake of the deadly Brussels bombings. “It upsets people’s sense of equilibrium,” he said.

Reacting to the Brussels attacks, which killed 35 people last week, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump promised to bring back torture and “do a lot more than waterboarding,” while Senator Ted Cruz suggested stepping up policing of “Muslim neighborhoods” across the country.

“Frankly, the waterboarding, if it was up to me, and if we changed the laws or had the laws, waterboarding would be fine,” Trump told NBC’s “Today.”

“If they could expand the laws, I would do a lot more than waterboarding. You have to get the information from these people,” the billionaire added. His trademark comments amplified earlier equally controversial remarks.

“I would absolutely authorize something beyond waterboarding and believe me, it will be effective,” Trump said during a February 7 interview on ABC’s “This Week With George Stephanopoulos.”

Kerry told CBS’s “Face the Nation” that there are a lot of raised eyebrows over such rhetoric.

“Everywhere I go, every leader I meet, they ask about what is happening in America. They cannot believe it. I think it is fair to say that they’re shocked,” Kerry said.

“They don’t know where it’s taking the United States of America. It upsets people’s sense of equilibrium about our steadiness, about our reliability.”

“To some degree, I must say to you, some of the questions, the way they’re posed to me, it’s clear that what’s happening is an embarrassment to our country,” the US Secretary of State added.[…]

  13. USA – Muslims Say That Easter Egg Hunt ‘Violates the U.S. Constitution’

Muslim parents in Dearborn, Michigan are upset after elementary school students received flyers promoting an Easter Egg hunt at a local Presbyterian church.

The parents say the egg hunt “violates the U.S. Constitution”.

The Muslims told the Detroit Free-Press that they were concerned about the religious implications of Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church’s “Eggstravaganza!”

They were also “troubled” by images of a bunny rabbit.

“It really bothered my two kids,” parent Majed Moughni, told the newspaper. “My son was like, ‘Dad, I really don’t feel comfortable getting these flyers, telling me to go to church. I thought churches are not supposed to mix with schools.’ ”

The school district did not comment and the pastor of the church said there’s nothing remotely religious about the event.

“Part of our efforts in Dearborn is to invite the community to let them know we’re here,” Pastor Neeta Nichols told the newspaper. “We’re offering various kinds of programming, fun opportunities, so what we can be engaged with the community.”

Unbelievable. Once again, Muslims demand that the needs of Sharia Law supercede longstanding American traditions.

It’s not just in Europe that Muslims have a problem with assimilation.

  14. Erdogan flies to US to open mosque complex

The Turkish-Islamic culture center in Maryland, which includes a mosque, cultural center, community hall, guest house and 10 separate examples of traditional Turkish homes, will be inagurated by President Erdogan

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will begin his visit to the U.S. on Tuesday, the highlight of which will be the opening of the America Religion Center located in the state of Maryland near Washington, D.C. on April 2. He will begin by attending the 2016 Nuclear Security Summit that will be held on Wednesday and Thursday in Washington D.C. Erdogan, who will be in the U.S. between March 29 and April 2, closely followed the construction of the complex in Maryland over the years.

The center also aims to provide accurate information about Islam and Muslims, provide guidance to Muslims on prayers, morality and religious principle and create the necessary environment for dialogue through justice, peace, tolerance and mutual understanding.
The center includes a mosque, cultural center, community hall, guest house and 10 separate examples of traditional Turkish homes.

The mosque was built in accordance with 16th century Ottoman architecture and is the only mosque with two minarets in the country. It’s capacity, with the garden included, will be 3,000 people. Beneath the mosque is an Islamic Art Museum.

The culture center was built in Seljuk architectural style and has a library, separate halls for conferences, exhibitions, meetings and receptions. The Islamic Research Center located within the culture center will assist Turkish nationals studying for bachelor’s or postgraduate degrees in the U.S.

The museum will exhibit collections of Islamic calligraphy, miniatures and marbling. Guests will also be served the most famous dishes of the Ottoman court, Turkish coffee and traditional candy.

Apart from the permanent collections, the “Ask-i Nebi” (Love of the Prophet) calligraphy exhibition, which toured the world to much acclaim, will be shown as part of the opening ceremony.

The center, which is billed as the “world’s largest Islamic-Ottoman social complex,” is located just 10 miles from central Washington, D.C. It was formally called the “Diyanet Center of America” after Turkey’s state-run Presidency of Religious Affairs (DIB) and is close to neighborhoods with predominantly Turkish and Muslim populations. Spread across 60 acres, it contains “one of the largest Turkish mosques” built outside Turkey, according to officials. The complex was constructed with the support of the D?B and nonprofit organizations.

Hilmi Senalp, the chief architect of the project, had previously said that the complex was built to represent the “külliye” tradition, a complex of social and religious buildings that were common in Ottoman times. “Külliye was the basis for Muslim urban development as it combined structures for religious, social, economic and public health needs of the community with a mosque, madrasa [school], public kitchen, hospital, bathhouses and marketplace. So, we based our design of the site on this concept,” he said. He also added that “The center is important for both better representation of the Turkish and Muslim communities and for addressing the needs of the community here. It is a mixture of traditional Turkish architecture and American construction experience. It will enrich American history of culture and civilization,” Senalp said.

The architect said they brought materials such as wood, china, marble and stones used in the decoration from Turkey, and Turkish artists and construction workers worked on the complex.

Obama rejects Erdogan offer on Maryland mosque opening

US President Barack Obama has turned down an offer by his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan to participate in the planned inauguration of a Turkish-funded mosque in Maryland.

According to The Wall Street Journal, citing US officials, Obama also has no plans for a formal one-on-one meeting with Erdogan during this week’s Nuclear Security Summit (NSS) in Washington.

The fourth and final NSS convention will kick off on Thursday in the US capital where Obama is expected to tell delegations from 51 nations, plus major groups such as the European Union and United Nations, about steps taken to ensure nuclear materials do not fall to militant groups.

Senior administration officials told the Journal, though, that Obama’s decision should not be taken as a slight since the two leaders met in November at the Group of 20 summit in Turkey, and spoke by phone in February.

“The president has been in such regular contact with few other world leaders,” said a senior official. “When it comes to the NSS, there is not a robust [bilateral] schedule, so it’s not as if Erdogan is being excluded.”

America’s largest mosque complex, officially known as Turkish-American Culture and Civilization Center, has been built with Turkish funding under the supervision of the Turkish religious foundation, Diyanet. The $100 million mosque will soon open in Lanham, Maryland, US media say.

The latest report, however, says the cool reception awaiting the Turkish leader in Washington reflects America’s concerns about Turkey’s ongoing crackdowns on dissent and Kurds fighting Daesh (ISIL) terrorists in Syria.[…]

The United States announces $20 million to support efforts by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and the International Federation of Red Cross/Red Crescent (IFRC) to respond to increased protection, shelter, and other lifesaving assistance throughout Europe, including in Greece, Western Turkey, and the Balkans.

This new funding brings the total U.S. humanitarian assistance for the regional response to the refugee and migrant crisis to nearly $44 million since the start of the crisis last year. Today’s announcement includes $17.5 million for UNHCR’s Regional Refugee and Migrant Response Plan for Europe, $2 million for IFRC’s revised Emergency Appeal for Greece, and $500,000 for UNFPA’s Initial Response Plan for Refugee and Migrant Women and Girls in South-Eastern Europe.

Funding announced today will allow UNHCR to provide emergency and life-saving assistance for refugees and migrants, support the creation of adequate reception arrangements and management, enhance protection monitoring, assist authorities with registration and identification of new arrivals, enhance counseling to new arrivals and persons on the move, strengthen public information and advocacy strategies, and enhance communication efforts to inform communities of origin of existing and legal ways to enter Europe. The contribution from the United States also supports IFRC’s work with the Hellenic Red Cross to respond to the needs of some 200,000 people, with a focus on providing basic food and non-food items, first aid and psychosocial support, water and sanitation, as well as family tracing services to migrants and refugees. Funding to UNFPA will assist in helping prevent and respond to gender-based violence (GBV) and address sexual and reproductive health needs for refugees and migrants in Greece by providing RAPE KITS, coordinating and monitoring the capacity of the health system and GBV-related services, and bolstering the technical skills of providers to respond to GBV.

If the evidence is a damning as suspected this will come close to destroying the Democrats. If on the other hand she is indicted Obama can’t let her go to court because she knows too much so the least damaging action he can take is to pardon her for all crimes. The Assassination option is open but even the LSM would have a hard time believing the right murdered her when she was under indictment. Because of this the assassination option is the one that would damage the Dems the most.

  20. Europe Is at War and Is Yet to Recognize It
The choices for the West are clear: win or die

Tuesday’s (March 22, 2016) Islamic State (IS) terrorist attack in Brussels airport and metro station, which killed at least 31 people and injured hundreds, is a wake-up call for Belgium and Europe. The 28-states that make up the European Union (EU) must understand that they are at war. It might not be their choosing, but for IS and Al-Qaeda, infidel-Europe is the enemy, and its promiscuous civilization and way of life must be destroyed.

Following the Paris attack last November, it appeared for a while that French President Hollande got the message that something in Europe has changed. But, the France that released Abu-Daoud in 1977, (the Palestinian Black September terrorist group operations leader, who planned the 1972 attack on the Israeli Olympic team in Munich, in which 11 Israeli athletes were killed), to appease and buy off Palestinian terrorism, is still at it. And, it has done little to combat Islamic terror in France itself.

Political correctness (PC) throughout Europe has been of greater value to the administrators and elites of the EU than the protection of its citizenry. PC has motivated Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel to allow over a million refugees from the Middle East, most of them Muslims from Syria and Iraq, to enter Germany, despite the risk of IS killers infiltrating the ranks of refugees. Sweden also has followed Germany in this suicide pact.

The terror attacks on European soil will not be prevented by merely increasing the number of security forces in major gathering places throughout Europe. European legislators and individual states must enact legislation that would allow police and security forces entry into Majority Muslim neighborhoods, where the likely suspects can find shelter, and thus prevent the next attack in a European city.

  23. Justice Department Withdraws Request in Apple iPhone Encryption Case After FBI Accesses San Bernardino Shooter’s Phone (abcnews, Mar 28, 2016)
    http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/justice-department-withdraws-request-apple-iphone-encryption-case/story?id=37986428

“The Justice Department is vacating legal action asking Apple to help unlock an encrypted iPhone belonging to one of the San Bernardino shooters, federal officials said today.

Melanie Newman, spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of Justice, said in a statement today that “it remains a priority for the government to ensure that law enforcement can obtain crucial digital information to protect national security and public safety.”

“As the government noted in its filing today, the FBI has now successfully retrieved the data stored on the San Bernardino terrorist’s iPhone and therefore no longer requires the assistance from Apple required by this Court Order. The FBI is currently reviewing the information on the phone, consistent with standard investigatory procedures,” Newman said.

The move comes one week after federal officials revealed a third party had come forward and “demonstrated” a “possible method” to cracking into a locked iPhone, prompting the U.S. government to postpone a court hearing scheduled for last Tuesday.

Apple has been fighting a government order compelling Apple to help create a way for officials to unlock an iPhone belonging to one of the San Bernardino, California, shooters…”

  24. Two men arrested in Germany ‘not tied to Brussels attacks’ (thelocal, Mar 28, 2016)
    http://www.thelocal.de/20160328/two-men-arrested-in-germany-not-tied-to-brussels-attacks

“German authorities have been unable to link two men arrested by police there to the attackers who carried out the airport and metro bombings in Brussels, the country’s federal prosecutor said Saturday.

A 28-year-old Moroccan man was arrested on Wednesday evening after being stopped during a routine identity check at Giessen railway station, north of Frankfurt.

His mobile phone was initially thought to contain the name of Khalid el Bakraoui, who Belgian officials say blew himself up on Tuesday at the Maalbeek metro station in Brussels, Berlin public broadcaster RBB reported, citing intelligence sources.

It has been reported that the arrested man was in fact exchanging messages with someone with a name spelt almost the same as Bakraoui’s.

He remains in custody for other offences, according to the office of the German federal prosecutor responsible for terrorism cases, but is no longer suspected of links to the attacks.

Another man, a follower of the ultra-conservative Salafi strain of Islam, was arrested Thursday in the Düsseldorf region in western Germany on suspicion of links to one of the Bakraoui brothers.

A search of his house and workplace along with scrutiny of his mobile phone failed to produce any evidence tying him to the attacks in Belgium that killed 31 and injured 340, police told the DPA news agency….”

A statement by NDS said the anti-government armed militant groups had prepared the explosives-laden motorbikes to carry out coordinated attack in this province.

  27. Nearly 100 Taliban insurgents killed, wounded in Khanshin district of Helmand (khaama, Mar 28, 2016)
    http://www.khaama.com/nearly-100-taliban-insurgents-killed-wounded-in-khanshin-district-of-helmand-0465

“Nearly 100 Taliban militants were killed or wounded during the operations in Khanshin district of southern Helmand province which was retaken by the Afghan forces yesterday.

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said at least 60 Taliban insurgents were killed and 30 others were wounded during the operations conducted jointly by the Afghan forces.

The control of Khanshin district fell to Taliban militants nearly two weeks ago following a coordinated attack involving scores of militants.

However, the security officials announced Sunday that the Afghan forces managed to clear the district from the militants presence as a result of the operations.

Helmand is among the volatile provinces in southern Afghanistan where anti-government armed militant groups are actively operating in its various districts and frequently carry out insurgency activities.

Meanwhile, a statement by MoD said at least 29 militants were killed in a separate operation in Shindand district of Herat while 17 others including 2 commanders of the group were killed in Ghazni and Nuristan provinces.

MoD further added that 7 soldiers serving with the Afghan National Army (ANA) forces also lost their lives during the same operations.

The Taliban militants group has not commented regarding the report so far.”

  28. HUMA ABEDIN

Huma Abedin was born in 1976 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Her father, Syed Abedin (1928-1993), was an Indian-born scholar who in the early 1970s had been affiliated with the Muslim Students Association at Western Michigan University.

Huma’s mother, Saleha Mahmood Abedin, is a sociologist known for her strong advocacy of Sharia Law. A member of the Muslim Sisterhood (i.e., the Muslim Brotherhood’s division for women), Saleha is also a board member of the International Islamic Council for Dawa and Relief. This pro-Hamas entity is part of the Union of Good, which the U.S. government has formally designated as an international terrorist organization led by the Muslim Brotherhood luminary Yusuf al-Qaradawi.

When Huma was two, the Abedin family relocated from Michigan to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This move took place when Abdullah Omar Naseef, a major Muslim Brotherhood figure who served as vice president of Abdulaziz University (AU), recruited his former AU colleague, Syed Abedin, to work for the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs (IMMA), a Saudi-based Islamic think tank that Naseef was preparing to launch. A number of years later, Naseef would develop close ties to Osama bin Laden and the terrorist group al Qaeda. Naseef also spent time (beginning in the early 1980s) as secretary-general of the Muslim World League, which, as journalist Andrew C. McCarthy points out, “has long been the Muslim Brotherhood’s principal vehicle for the international propagation of Islamic supremacist ideology.”

It is vital to note that IMMA’s “Muslim Minority Affairs” agenda was, and remains to this day, a calculated foreign policy of the Saudi Ministry of Religious Affairs, designed, as Andrew C. McCarthy explains, “to grow an unassimilated, aggressive population of Islamic supremacists who will gradually but dramatically alter the character of the West.” For details about this agenda, click here.

At age 18, Huma Abedin returned to the U.S. to attend George Washington University. In 1996 she began working as an intern in the Bill Clinton White House, where she was assigned to then-First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. Abedin was eventually hired as an aide to Mrs. Clinton and has worked for her ever since, through Clinton’s successful Senate runs (in 2000 and 2006) and her failed presidential bid in 2008.

From 1997 until sometime before early 1999, Abedin, while still interning at the White House, was an executive board member of George Washington University’s (GWU) Muslim Students Association (MSA), heading the organization’s “Social Committee.”

It is noteworthy that in 2001-02, soon after Abedin left that executive board, the chaplain and “spritual guide” of GWU’s MSA was Anwar al-Awlaki, the al Qaeda operative who ministered to some of the men who were among the 9/11 hijackers. Another chaplain at GWU’s MSA (from at least October 1999 through April 2002) was Mohamed Omeish, who headed the International Islamic Relief Organization, which has been tied to the funding of al Qaeda. Omeish’s brother, Esam, headed the Muslim American Society, the Muslim Brotherhood’s quasi-official branch in the United States. Both Omeish brothers were closely associated with Abdurahman Alamoudi, who would later be convicted and incarcerated on terrorism charges.

From 1996-2008, Abedin was employed by the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs (IMMA) as the assistant editor of its in-house publication, the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs (JMMA). At least the first seven of those years overlapped with the al Qaeda-affiliated Abdullah Omar Naseef’s active presence at IMMA. Abedin’s last six years at the Institute (2002-2008) were spent as a JMMA editorial board member; for one of those years, 2003, Naseef and Abedin served together on that board.
