Newly arrested Brussels jihadi was ‘freelance journalist’

Thank you Oz-Rita for the rapid translation of this interesting video.

Below, a muslim who was arrested on the 26th of March 2016 as the third man in the photo of the three attackers of the Brussels airport.

It seems he was a ‘freelance journalist’ before his career peak as a jihadi.

Below is an example of his reportage

  1. 1. In the accoustically and linguistically very unclear “main message” from the “poor, ill-treated, starving” illegal and uninvited guests of Belgium, I can now, listening again to the video, detect the words to the effect of: “they won’t let us speak” ….and “we are ….hostages”.

    2. Is it me, or is the logic of the Journalist Fayçal Cheffou rather…err….islamic…funny (as in hi hi hi) when he says, without any sense of irony:
“the prison refuses to give you food while you are fasting”…seeing that they are served 3 meals a day.
From memory: their Koran permits them to eat during the day during Ramadan when they are under duress or something.
    3. This journalist, Faycal Cheffou, (or his co-jihadists?) titled the original video as follows:
Belgique — Les musulmans privés de nourriture dans une prison pour réfugiés
(Belgium – muslims deprived of food in a prison for refugees). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIvxzXyvXkk

    • Yes. Unlike Christians, who would have to make a big principled point about sacrificing themselves for their beliefs and all that, Muslims are way more practical. There’s a Sura or Hadith about being interrupted during prayer by enemy soldiers, and it says definitely to pick up your sword and fight instead of finishing your prayers like an idiot. You can make up the prayers later. Muhammad believed in winning. It even says to pray with your weapons ready if necessary. Muslims would never be dumb enough to starve to death over Ramadan feeding times, but they might be smart enough to use it as a tool with which to manipulate the Infidel prison guards. Despicable…

      • When they’re traveling, they can fast later when it’s more convenient. Same goes for prayer-time too. Later’s fine.

        • not only when they are travelling —` but also when they wage jihad — the jihadists – the mujahideens -the fedayins – the terrorists etc don’t have to fast :

Ruling on breaking one’s fast in order to have strength for jihad

Is it permissible for the mujaahideen to break their fast in Ramadaan? […]

Yes, it is permissible for the mujaahideen to break their fast in Ramadaan, so that they will have strength for jihad, even if they are in their own country, for fasting weakens their ability to fight and deal with the enemy.

[…]There is evidence narrated from the prophet that indicates that it is prescribed to break one’s fast because of jihad.

Hadith Muslim (1120) – […]We stopped to camp and the messenger of allah said: “You are approaching your enemy and breaking the fast will make you stronger.”

[…] he said, “You are going to meet your enemy in the morning, and breaking the fast will make you stronger, so break your fast.”

Hadith Abu Dawood (2365) […]- I saw the messenger of allah telling the people on a journey in the year of the conquest Mecca to break their fast. He said, “Gain strength to face your enemy.”

[…]These two hadiths indicate that the command to break the fast was not because of travelling, rather it was in order to gain strength for jihad.

    • No wonder he switched to violent jihad, that is the most ham handed propaganda video I have seen in a long time.

  2. My son told me that this journalist was calling people Islamophobic and racist, does this mean that whenever a journalist uses those terms using those terms on people correctly defining the issue with Islam that they too are potentially a member of ISIS, they might as well be…

    • Hi DaffersD:)
I dont know if I understand your comment correctly, but journalists using the terms “Islamophobia” and “Racist” as ad hominems are not singing from the same sheet that I am and I always suspect them of being – at best – islamo-terrorism-apologists if not worse as the “journalist” above. Most of the main media has, in my notsohumble opinion, morphed from “4th Estate” into “5th Column”. Many people’s fear of islam is quite reasonble, mine is, perhaps a little more than that, but as a friend recently said: “being islamophobic today is like being icebergophobic on the Titanic in 1912”. 🙂

As to the term “raaaaaaaaacist” as it is mostly used today, short answer: Islam is not a race – unless you mean it’s a race-to-the-bottom.

      • Sorry Rita I was trying to be humorous in terms of attacking journalists who use those terms without any understanding, because as you quite rightly pointed out Islam is not a race it is an ideology, for me it is a xenophobic ideology.

The point I was trying to make was what you were saying, for years when ever I was accused of being racist for criticising Islam I would turn it around and tell the other person that they were racists for linking Islam to the Arab people, I know quite a few Arabs who are not Muslims and I would never link Arabs as a people to Islam. Using this technique has resulted in these people either shutting up or losing their cool totally because they realise that they are the racist and it has been rather funny to use.

I just thought that as it was a journalist, though a freelance one this could be used to disarm the racist word and that nonsensical word Islamophobia .freely used by many left wing journalists, I would find it amusing to throw back that they were acting the same as this so called journalist so were they members of ISIS. I would be amused to see their reaction.

I really do know this distinction, I have been looking in detail at Islam since 1997.

  3. God, I wish they would deal with guys like this decisively. They should be thoroughly interrogated – making use of the full-range of waterboarding options – given a quick trial, then up the thirteen steps they go, head into the noose, and Bob’s your uncle. Another useless pile of garbage gets what he so richly deserves. And if they don’t like that, there’s always the impaling option… Actually, I’d have no problem with that either.
The Islamists have taught me to hate in a whole new way I never knew was possible. I swear if I saw a thousand guys like this all go through the trap door at the same time, I’d laugh my head off. I’d feel no empathy whatsoever. That didn’t used to be me…

    • @Chris Jones
If it was not such a tired old cliché, I would say: “I know how you feel”. But I think I can venture to say: My feelings go very much in the direction you just described.

    • Once we really begin to fight the biggest danger we face is turning as barbaric as our enemies, I know why you are saying these things and we need to be careful about what we do if civilization is to survive.

  4. So self-righteous about their fasting…if it is true that they are allowed to eat during times of duress, then their screams are hypocritical…their demands on our society won’t stop there either.

  5. This is the “third guy” in the airport photo with the floppy hat on?
How did that get past my news sources?
This is the first I’ve heard of his arrest.
Well, great! I hope he burns in hell.

    • Obama, Alinksy and the Devil
When people ask me, “Why would Obama want to destroy America” — at least the America that most Conservatives know and love? It’s simple. Why wait for Hell, when you can create Hell on Earth?

We often hear of Liberals use of Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals, and people discuss Alinsky’s organizing abilities. What they omit is his underlying philosophy. Alinsky built his organizing model on a love of creating hell.

Saul Alinsky interview in Playboy, 1972

__ALINSKY: Hell would be heaven for me. All my life I’ve been with the have-nots. Over here, if you’re a have-not, you’re short of dough. If you’re a have-not in hell, you’re short of virtue. Once I get into hell, I’ll start organizing the have-nots over there.
      __PLAYBOY: Why them?
__ALINSKY: They’re my kind of people.

The man who wrote what Liberals use as the definitive book on community organizing admits to having no virtue. So he destroys communities, using his kind of people.

Take Hillary Clinton for example. Hillary loved Alinsky’s work so much that she actually wrote her senior thesis at Wellesley College on his work, his most notable product being the bible of Liberalism: Rules for Radicals. Obama loved Hillary’s work so much that he made her Secretary of State, or what I like to call America’s Marketing Department. Why stop at America, when you can ruin the world.

      • That is a big part of his motivation, he wants to create a hell to torture those who use to be successful. I don’t think things will get that bad but them may. I do think we are going to return to tribalism and will probably be expected to support our tribal members no matter what they do.
