“The Afghan intelligence operatives seized huge loads of weapons, ammunition and explosives by arresting a weapons supplier of the Taliban group in central Logar province of Afghanistan.

The National Directorate of Security (NDS) said the suspected supplier of weapons to the Taliban group was arrested during a special military operation in Khoshi district.

A statement by NDS said the weapons, ammunition and explosives were loaded on 7 vehicles which were confiscated by the intelligence operatives from Dobandi village.

The statement further added that 1 Ak-47 rifle, 16 improvised explosive device, 350 kg of ammonium nitrate explosives, 48 kg of potassium nitrate explosives, 29 mortar rounds, 680 kg of drugs, 29 BM1 warheads, and various other types of explosives were seized by the intelligence operatives.

The Taliban militants group has not commented regarding the confiscation of the weapons and arrest of the group’s supplier.

This comes as the Taliban-led insurgency has been rampant during the recent months with the wave of violence being unprecedented even during the winter times when the insurgents groups were normally reducing insurgency activities.”

  4. Migrant crisis: Slovenia moves to ‘shut down’ Balkans route (BBC, Mar 9, 2016)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35760534

“Slovenia has introduced new border restrictions for migrants as part of efforts to close the Balkans route from Greece to Western Europe.

Only migrants who plan to seek asylum in the country, or those with clear humanitarian needs will be allowed entry.

In reaction, Serbia said it would close its borders with Macedonia and Bulgaria to those without valid documents.

The future of the EU’s passport-free Schengen zone is already in doubt.

Eight of its members, including Austria, Hungary and Slovakia, have tightened border controls, leaving thousands of migrants stranded in Greece.

Europe is facing its biggest refugee crisis since World War Two. Last year, more than a million people entered the EU illegally by boat. Most of them were Syrian, fleeing the country’s civil war….”

  5. They Must Go (apologies to M. Kahane)
I started to write this while listening to the news on the radio Tuesday evening. There were three terror attacks in three hours today, two stabbings, one shooting. At least one person is dead, more than ten wounded, half of them seriously. In one case a man pulled the Arab terrorist’s knife out of his own neck and stabbed his assailant to death. Yes, you read that right.

    • Relatively decent article by the BBC about the Islamic State.

Yet they still somehow find room to trash ancient Judaism and Christianity.

And; those experts they rely on when it comes to Islamic history somehow seemingly conveniently miss the so called Ridda wars, so it becomes easier to paint the infamous “picture of blame,” when establishing the Hanbal, Taymiyyah, Wahhabi, ect, lineage.

In reality all we “need” is of course the Quran, the Sunnah, the Sirah and a little bit of early religious Muhammadan discourse. Hanbal and co become less relevant (thought not necessarily totally unimportant)…

  6. Australia Hopes to Return Iranian Asylum Seekers Under Deal (abcnews, Mar 8, 2016)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/australia-hopes-return-iranian-asylum-seekers-deal-37503743

“Australia hopes to send thousands of Iranian asylum seekers back to their homeland under a new deal with Tehran, an Australian official said Wednesday.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop’s negotiations with her Iranian counterpart Javad Zarif were well advanced on a deal expected to be signed next week that would lift Tehran’s long-standing refusal to accept Iranian asylum seekers who don’t want to come home, The West Australian newspaper reported.

Bishop’s spokeswoman Rachel Obradovic confirmed that the newspaper report was accurate.

Under the repatriation agreement expected to be signed by Zarif when he visits the Australian capital Canberra on Tuesday, Australia would demand guarantees from Iran that Iranians who returned home would not be persecuted or punished.

The Iranian policy change could cover almost 9,000 Iranian asylum seekers. About 400 were in Australian-funded immigration centers on the Pacific island nations of Nauru and Papua New Guinea.

But most live in the Australian community. It is not clear how many of them are genuine refugees who could not be sent back to Iran, but Australia regards the majority of asylum seekers from Iran to be economic migrants rather than refugees….”
