  1. Sweden – Police reinvestigate sex crimes at teen festival

Stockholm police have been accused of withholding information about a string of sex assaults at Europe’s largest youth festival.

According to DN’s sources, the alleged attackers were mostly believed to be refugees who had come to Sweden without their parents, but officers had avoided reporting that they had made this connection.

  2. Migrants ‘planned sex attacks’ in Cologne

New Year’s Eve violence, thefts and sexual assaults on women in Cologne were “planned” and most of the offences were carried out by asylum seekers or illegal migrants, according to German police and the justice minister.

Heiko Maas, the federal justice minister and a social democrat, said yesterday that the police had evidence the attacks were organised on social media, mobilising young North African men from France and Belgium to travel to the western German city.

  3. Anti-Semitic attack by Syrian and Afghan men in Germany

Police said the 49-year-old was in a waiting room at Puttgarden ferry port on Saturday when the two men, saying “Jew” in Arabic, pushed him to the floor. They stole a bag containing cash, a bank card, a train ticket and a mobile phone.

The two men had been denied entry to Denmark the previous day because they lacked the correct papers and were waiting for a train to a refugee centre

    • We don’t know that they didn’t, it could be that the politicians decided the threat wasn’t that great and thus they didn’t want to scare people.

  5. Migrant Invasion Will Reach OVER 10 MILLION Warns German Minister

Europe has barely even seen the start of the migrant influx, Germany’s Development Minister has warned.

Gerd Müller said only 10 per cent of Syrian and Iraqi migrants have reached Europe so far and “eight to ten million are still on the way”, with even more to come from Africa.

“The biggest movements are ahead: Africa’s population will double in the coming decades,” he told Bild am Sonntag, adding: “In the Sahara up to one million people have died trying to escape.”

The European Commission, he added, has lost a significant amount of authority thanks to the crisis. “The protection of external borders is not working. Schengen has collapsed. A fair distribution of refugees has not taken place,” he said.

He said that in the digital age we live in, more people than ever know about the prosperity of Western nations thus making it more likely they will try to travel here.

Vigilante mobs have been attacking Pakistani and Syrians in Cologne, leaving at least two in hospital, following calls on social media for ‘revenge’ in the wake of the New Years Eve assaults.

The attacks were carried out by groups of young men, allegedly specifically targeting foreigners, after reports Cologne police are focusing their investigation on asylum seekers and migrants.

More than 500 criminal complains have now been filed over the events outside Cologne’s famous cathedral on New Years Eve, where young women were sexually assaulted, raped and robbed.

  7. Less than ecstatic
The lights are going out in night clubs all over Europe
Jan 9th 2016 | BERLIN | From the print edition

    Timekeeper

AT HALF past two in the morning a dozen people queue in the freezing cold to get in to Tresor, a night club in a former power station in Berlin. In the sweaty, dimly lit interior, about 100 people are dancing to repetitive beats. Others sprawl on seats near the bar, clutching drinks or other people. The club, one of the first places in Germany to play techno music, seems as popular as when it was launched in 1991. But clubbing itself is on the wane.

After the fall of the Berlin Wall night clubs sprang up in that city in a moment of “cultural anarchy”, says Dimitri Hegemann, one of Tresor’s founders. They took over disused banks, warehouses and power plants. In the rest of Europe several “superclubs” had already opened in the 1980s, and more followed. In London, Fabric opened in 1999 in a former cold store; in Amsterdam, one started in a former print works. Smaller venues proliferated, too.

This New Year’s Eve was a lot less fun in Europe than in previous years as violence and threats of violence put a damper on the party atmosphere. Fireworks were cancelled in Brussels for fear of an imminent terrorist attack which precipitated the arrest of two members of a North African motorcycle club. In Munich, two train stations were evacuated when officials received intelligence of an imminent ISIS suicide attack. And in three German cities — , and Cologne — mobs of men, reportedly of “Arab or North African origin,” allegedly attacked female partygoers.

  9. Police investigate tip that Philadelphia terrorist is part of group that wants to harm more cops

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police in Philadelphia are investigating a tip that a man charged in the ambush shooting of a patrolman is connected to a radical group that may continue to pose a threat to officers.

The police department said Sunday evening that someone approached an officer on the street and alleged that the man who attacked Officer Jesse Hartnett “had an affiliation to a group with radical beliefs.”

Police say they are working with the FBI to investigate the credibility of the information. They have alerted all department personnel about the tip and will continue to require officers to work with a partner until further notice.

Harnett was last reported in stable condition at the hospital after a man charged his car as he patrolled his usual west Philadelphia beat shortly before midnight Thursday, firing at least 13 shots, hitting the officer three times. Hartnett got out of his car, chased the man and returned fire, wounding him in the buttocks before he was captured by other officers about a block away.

Edward Archer, 30, of Yeadon, Pennsylvania, was charged Saturday with attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault of a law enforcement officer and several firearms crimes. He is being held without bail pending a Jan. 25 preliminary hearing. The Defender Association of Philadelphia, listed in court documents as representing him, couldn’t be reached over the weekend to offer comment on the charges.

The student visa program is allowing dangerous enemies into the US, a former top Homeland Security official claims.

Claude Arnold, retired special agent of Homeland Security Investigations, said that the program invites 1.2 million foreigners into the U.S. each year.

He told told FoxNews.com that most student visa recipients take advantage of America’s system of higher education and leave when their terms expire.

But every year approximately 58,000 overstay their visas and dropout of contact with authorities.

Tens of thousands of immigrants have fallen off the government’s radar and ‘it is only a matter of time before there is some horrible act, or some act of terrorism’, according to Arnold.

  11. Colleges Want to Bring Back Segregation

A new report shows that among the many outrageous demands that Black Lives Matter protesters have made at colleges across the country, racial segregation is becoming more common. The very segregation that inspired civil rights activists to take to the streets in the 1960s is now experiencing a comeback, thanks to a new generation of protesters who have a very tenuous grasp on history.

“Black college students across the country have demanded that they be segregated from white peers, calling for ‘safe spaces’ on campuses meant only for so-called students of color,” says College Fix.

Ah, the libs have changed the language once again. What used to be “Colored Only” spaces are now to be considered “safe spaces.” Interesting.

Safe spaces are nothing new for the academic left. The concept is an environment where students don’t have to be “triggered” by hearing points-of-view contrary to their own. Typically, it has nothing to do with actual physical safety and everything to do with New Safety, i.e., the “pain” and “suffering” that liberals (most often feminists) experience when someone tells them, “Hey…that stuff you believe…here’s why it’s wrong.”

Now safe spaces are apparently going to be expanded beyond their original definition to include race. You have to wonder how that’s going to work. Will a conservative black student be allowed to hang out in the Blacks-Only safe space? Or will you have to prove that you’re “with them” before being granted access?

  12. I R A Q -Gunmen attack Baghdad mall, killing 10 and taking hostages

BAGHDAD (AP) — Iraqi officials say gunmen have stormed a mall in a mainly Shiite neighborhood in eastern Baghdad, killing at least 10 people and taking hostages.

Police and medical officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief reporters, say the gunmen set off a car bomb at the entrance to the mall on Monday before moving in. The officials say another 25 people were wounded in the attack and that three police are among the dead.

The officials estimated that 50-75 people were trapped in the mall.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Islamic State group often targets the country’s Shiite majority.

    http://bigstory.ap.org/article/3496215ab4a74dbda58ba9b0949b6eda/gunmen-attack-baghdad-mall-killing-10-and-taking-hostages
    ==================================

Eight killed as gunmen take hostages in Baghdad mall

Gunmen blew up a car bomb, sprayed gunfire in a crowded area and took hostages in a shopping mall in eastern Baghdad Monday, killing at least eight people, police said.

The gunmen were still holed up in the shopping centre in Baghdad al-Jadida, a police colonel said, adding that it was feared the attackers were wearing suicide belts.

A hospital official confirmed the death toll and said 14 people were also reported to have been wounded in the attack.

“They are inside the Zahrat Baghdad mall. When the security forces got too close, they killed three hostages,” a police official said.

“We are taking a cautious approach now. We want this attack to end with the lowest possible number of casualties,” the official said.

He described the mall as a building of four or five floors in a busy commercial area of Baghdad al-Jadida, a populous Shiite-majority area on the eastern edge of the Iraqi capital.

A large plume of black smoke could be seen billowing into the sky above the area where the mall is located.

An interior ministry source said an unspecified number of gunmen opened fire in the street after a car bomb exploded and briefly clashed with members of the security forces before entering the mall.

“They completely control the mall right now, they have men on the roof,” the official said.

Police said a counter-terrorism force from the intelligence services was on the scene and snipers posted on buildings around the mall.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack but a police source described the gunmen as “wearing Daesh-style clothes”.

Daesh is an Arabic acronym for the Islamic State jihadist group that occupies parts of the country and is responsible for the vast majority of suicide attacks in Baghdad.

The group has carried out dozens of suicide car bomb attacks but Monday’s hostage-taking would be the first of its kind since IS seized control of large parts of Iraq in 2014.

      • These days people are more likely to pull out a phone and shoot video rather then help the people in trouble.

        • There’s not only apathy floating around. Something far worse – rot deep inside our ranks.

There’s a taste for revenge by bitter white males who’ve felt themselves emasculated by the collective cultural-Marxist female of Western persuasion. They figure the Mohammedans will teach uppity females a lesson. They sound almost giddy.

That’ll cost us plenty. Instead of rounding up a posse, they’re smirking about justice having been served. I wonder how prevalent this attitude is among American men.

  13. SYRIA – Russian general: New militants regularly arrive to Syria’s Latakia province from Turkey

The Russian Defense Ministry said earlier that militants are supplied with weapons and equipment from the Turkish territory

MOSCOW, January 11. /TASS/. New recruits are regularly arriving to the north-eastern part of the Syrian province of Latakia from Turkey, Lieutenant General Sergey Rudskoy, chief of the main operations department of the Russian General Staff, told journalists on Monday.

Rudskoy said that Syrian government forces are making progress while militants are suffering losses and forces to leave their positions.

“However, despite efforts of the international community directed at stopping any support to terrorists, new recruits regularly arrive to the north-eastern part of Latakia province from the Turkish territory,” he added.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in early December that new recruits arrive to Syria from Turkey. The Defense Ministry said that militants are supplied with weapons and equipment from the Turkish territory. US President Barack Obama called for ensuring control over Turkey’s border with Syria where militants and cargoes for them continue to move freely.

It was earlier reported that the Syrian army with the support of the Russian aviation is carrying out active actions in Latakia province, broadening control over part of the border with Turkey.

  14. SAUDI ARABIA – QATIF – Masked men attack Saudi intelligence compound with firebombs

Masked men threw firebombs at an intelligence service compound in the city of Qatif in eastern Saudi Arabia, activists said on Monday, in an apparent reprisal for the execution of a prominent Shia Muslim cleric earlier this month.

A Saudi Interior Ministry spokesman said “there was a failed terrorist attempt to burn the building with Molotov cocktails” and that one of the assailants was captured.

Video footage posted on social media and dated Jan. 9 showed several masked young men moving under cover of darkness and lobbing firebombs over the protective outer wall of a building compound. Most of the firebombs were seen exploding on the ground inside, setting a nearby tree on fire.

The authenticity of the footage could not immediately be confirmed.

It was not initially clear who was behind the attack. But the recording contained a footnote indicating that it was carried out by Shia youth seeking to avenge the execution of Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr, a vocal critic of the kingdom’s Sunni Muslim monarchy.

Nimr was among 47 prisoners put to death on Jan. 2, most of them convicted Sunni militants. A Saudi court convicted him in May 2014 of sedition, rioting, protesting and robbery in Qatif district, home to many of the kingdom’s minority Shias.

His arrest in July 2012, during which he was shot in the leg, prompted protests in which three people died.

Nimr’s execution angered Shias across the Middle East. After protesters stormed the Saudi embassy in Tehran and the Saudi consulate in Mashhad, the conservative Sunni kingdom cut diplomatic relations with Shia Iran.

Shia activists in eastern Saudi Arabia sought to distance themselves from the Qatif attack, saying it could discredit peaceful protests that had been taking place in the area since Nimr’s execution.

Last Tuesday, four armed men set a bus carrying workers in Saudi Arabia’s oil-producing Eastern Province on fire. State oil company Saudi Aramco said none of its employees had been injured but gave no further details.

  15. GERMANY – “Disgusting, pork eating outsiders nobody would miss” – opinions of “integrated” migrants on Germans

While the remaining German children in German schools are told to embrace multiculturalism, migrants in schools don’t even know what the word “integration” means. When asked by a teacher about what they think of the Germans, they reply that they think they’re “disgusting pork eaters” and outsiders. Not a single one of them has German friends. They ridicule a student for implying he has a German friend.

One migrant girl then goes on to say that nobody (in her neighborhood) would notice if all Germans would suddenly disappear for a day.

  16. Germany: Sexual assaults ‘not a totally new phenomenon in Germany’ – interior minister

German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere addressed the events of New Year’s Eve in Cologne, during a press conference in the city on Monday.

SOT, German Minister of Interior Thomas de Maiziere (German): “Cologne, what happened there is on everyone’s lips. What started as a joyous and peaceful New Year’s Eve, escalated on the square outside Cologne station and in the station into disgusting sexual assaults and frightening crimes.”

SOT, German Minister of Interior Thomas de Maiziere (German): “These excesses, such debauchery and transgressions of this type were probably not a totally new phenomenon in Germany. And I don’t believe this can be kept secret.”

SOT, German Minister of Interior Thomas de Maiziere (German): “But in this capacity, and possibly also in the way in which it was organised, this was new to us. This is totally unacceptable and intolerable. People and women must be safe on our streets from sexual violence and degradation, regardless of who the perpetrator is. And it is completely clear, violence against men and boys is also totally unacceptable.”

SOT, German Minister of Interior Thomas de Maiziere (German): “Ladies and gentlemen, I am of the opinion that, on the one hand, there shouldn’t be a general suspicion that refugees, asylum seekers, foreigners or people with immigrant backgrounds are all criminals. But, at the same time, it is, on the other hand, valid and necessary to consider the origins and cultural education of the offending groups, as well as to ask if the offenders are refugees. To not sweep this under the carpet and not to create a circle of secrets. It is in the interests of refugees to differentiate who among the refugees are criminals and who are not.”

  17. Pakistani atheist : Cologne attacks on Muslims show incompatibility of cultures

Cologne’s xenophobic assaults on Muslims are disgraceful. But DW’s Shamil Shams feels that they just show how Germans feel increasingly threatened by a culture that is not compatible with their norms.

…My European friends got angry when I warned them against Chancellor Merkel’s migrant-friendly policy. I found it very naïve that many Germans believed that all Middle Eastern and South Asian refugees would conform to their way of life and values. I told my friends that their understanding of the Muslim world was limited and flawed…

  18. Is It Time to Accept Reality? State Dept: “No”
“It’s preferable to live in a fantasy world?”

MATT LEE, ASSOCIATED PRESS: And then the last one is – and every time this happens, the line comes out from people in this Administration and other governments as well, is that we will not accept North Korea as a nuclear-armed state, and yet, it is. You also say this about other things too. You say you will never accept Crimea as a part of Russia. And yet, it is. Isn’t it time to recognize these things for what they are and not live in this illusion or fantasy where you pretend that things that are, are not?

KIRBY, STATE DEPARTMENT SPOKESMAN: The short answer is no.

    QUESTION: No?

MR KIRBY: But I would challenge —

QUESTION: It’s preferable to live in a fantasy world?

MR KIRBY: I would challenge this idea that it’s a fantasy world. Just because – let me put it this way. At this level of foreign policy, you have to make choices. And you don’t have to accept everything —

  19. The Left’s Embrace of Islamic Rape
Why progressives are sacrificing their own women on the altar of utopian ideals.

Introduction: As the disturbing reports pour in about the New Year’s Eve Muslim sex assaults in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Finland and other European countries, it has become clear that the new Utopian Multicultural Europe that the Left has worked so hard to build is now here. Cologne Mayor Henriette Reker’s response to the assaults under her watch has been to reprimand the victims, suggesting that they had asked for it. She has vowed to make sure that women will change their behavior, so that they don’t provoke Muslims to sexually assault them again. There will now be published “online guidelines” for women to read so they can prepare themselves. One wonders if it will be the burqa or the niqab that will be the solution of choice.

These eerie developments are, of course, completely in line with why Naomi Wolf finds the hijab “sexy” and why Oslo Professor of Anthropology Dr. Unni Wikan’s solution for the high incidence of Muslims raping Norwegian women is not for the rapists to be punished, but for Norwegian women to “take their share of responsibility” for the rapes because Muslim men found their manner of dress provocative. Norwegian women, she has counseled, “must realize that we live in a Multicultural society and adapt themselves to it.”

We are also now aware that German police fired water cannons at German protesters in Cologne who gathered to protest the rapes and sexual assaults committed by the Muslim refugees. Right, it is not the Muslim migrants who committed sex assaults that are being shot at with water cannons, but those who feel that what they did violates women’s rights and western values.

  20. ISIS published new text book for lone wolves and groups operating in the West.
I think it would be good to read it, because although all points are known, it is good to remember that they are not stupid, that they can work for a long time in adverse environment (i.e. West) They stress on security. They give advice on surveillance.
    For example. (excerpt)
So what are the elements that you need to pay attention to when inspecting an area for an operation?-
    The location-
The kind of neighbordhood (is it the neighbordhood where you find a lot of medical doctors and
drug stores? It can be interesting to use a cover that suits well with the location for example)

Language spoken/ethnicity of people living there.
The streets around the target, their names, length, width, where they begin, where they end, are
    they crowded, etc
-The positions of police officers (if any) and security forces in the streets surrounding the target’s
    location.
-The difference of atmosphere in the area in the morning and the evening
    –when is it most
crowded, are there many people out, etc.. this can help you determine the ideal time to launch
    your operation.
-You can do an inspection INSIDE the building you’re targeting if you use the correct cover (for
example, a student visa for the US can get you the opportunity to enter the embassy maybe 2
    -3 times)
-Inspection covers also the individual aspect: for example, embassy workers don’t necessarily live
in the embassy, and you can inspect and see where they live, where they go out, where they eat,
etc. This can prove useful for assassination operation

    • ISIS wrote that the book is fake, i.e. it is not their manual.
That may be true, as there are no reference to Quran or sunna.
Apart from the above fact,it may be theirs.
So perhaps it is theirs, perhaps not.
      Take your pick.

  21. AUSTRALIA – Three prayer rooms for new stadium

Perth’s $1.4 billion football stadium will include expanded prayer room facilities from those at Domain Stadium which have been rarely used.

Former Victorian premier and Hawthorn president Jeff Kennett has branded three prayer rooms being built at Burswood — to include washing facilities, a shoe rack and bookshelf — as unnecessary and overly politically correct.

But former Ethnic Communities Council president Suresh Rajan said the facilities would help Muslim youths at risk of being radicalised feel part of mainstream Australian society.

In 2012 the AFL asked all its venues to provide a private, clean room for fans or players to pray on match day after a request from Richmond’s Bachar Houli, a Muslim and one of the league’s cultural ambassadors.

Acting Sports Minister Colin Holt said interfaith prayer rooms at Burswood reflected the “changing multicultural nature of the WA community”.

“As part of the specifications provided to the three short-listed respondents in August 2013, the State Government mandated that the design must include at least two interfaith prayer rooms,” he said.

“The design provided by the winning consortium, Westadium, successfully met the State’s requirements with the provision of three prayer rooms, one for fan use on Level 1 on the northern side of the stadium and a further two for athlete use, both located adjacent to the team changing facilities.”

“If our concern is that youth are not radicalised in our community the main thing we have to demonstrate to that youth is they are valuable part of the mainstream community,” he said.

“These facilities allow them to have their religious values maintained,” he said.

  22. Domestic and Regional Implications of Escalated Saudi-Iran Conflict

By executing prominent Shiite leader Nimr al-Nimr, the Saudi King and his son the Deputy Crown Prince sent a strong signal to Iran, to the kingdom’s beleaguered Shiite minority, and to the world.
Saudi Arabia is still at its core a Wahhabi state, and traditionally Wahhabism abhors Shi’ism as a perversion of the true Islamic creed. Nimr called openly for God to take the lives of the Saudi dynasty. For the Saudis he was a leader who had to be stopped.
To its Iranian Shiite rival, Sunni Riyadh was saying that it would absolutely not tolerate intervention in its internal affairs. It was telling its own Shiites that it would not allow “Arab Spring”-like dissent. And to the world, Salman and Muhammad were signaling that the Saudis were growing into their new role as a defender and leader of the Sunni Muslim countries.
In the background is the perception in the kingdom, not unfounded, that the Obama administration is abandoning its traditional allies. Washington’s acquiescence to the Iran deal left Iran a nuclear threshold state, unfettered to continue its military ballistic missile program and advance a hostile regional agenda.
Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir is heading the Saudi diplomatic effort against Iran. Jubeir, Riyadh’s former ambassador to Washington, remembers that in 2011 the Iranians tried to have him assassinated.

  23. Egypt’s President Turns to Religion to Bolster His Authority

Fears of Islamist rule helped propel Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, then a military general, to power in 2013 following giant protests that led to the ouster of the Muslim Brotherhood government. But as Sisi wrestles with militant attacks and a struggling economy, he has increasingly turned to religion to bolster his authority. His approach includes shutting unregistered mosques and banning unauthorized preachers while drawing the religious establishment into an uneasy embrace.

  24. <Iran's Other Scary Weapons Program
Iran is advancing the range and mobility of its ballistic missiles and vowing to accelerate production. Most worrisome is a collaboration with North Korea, which has nuclear weapons and provided Iran with many of its first missiles, and still supplies key components.

The administration has been clear that after the Iran deal it would enforce those sanctions pertaining to Iran’s missile, terrorism and human rights activities. The administration told Congress that missile-related sanctions were coming, then held back. New sanctions on Iran’s ballistic missiles must still be pursued. It is an important and necessary way of keeping pressure on Iran to cease its unacceptable activities.

    • Iran’s ballistic missile program represents an immediate threat to America. As we watch China’s increasing aggression against our allies in the South China Sea, we’re reminded that the Bad Guys use our immediate distractions to advance their own nefarious objectives.

Iran’s Ballistic Missiles Are Actually a Huge Problem

[B]allistic missiles [are] one of three critical components of nuclear-weapons capability—along with fissile material for the nuclear explosion and the ability to build a nuclear warhead. As such, ballistic missiles [should not be considered separate from the issue of Iran’s nuclear program]. They were left outside the negotiations on a final and comprehensive nuclear deal at the behest of Iran, [which] claimed they were “non-nuclear.” The fact that the other parties to the JCPOA agreed to this is simply the first of many concessions that they made to Iran in order to secure a deal. But there was no logic to leaving missiles outside the purview [on the pretext that they are] non-nuclear.
Moreover, UN Security Council Resolution 1929, soon to be replaced by Resolution 2231, targets Iran’s work on ballistic missiles that can carry a nuclear payload, and deems this work unacceptable. To argue that these resolutions do not matter is tantamount to closing one’s eyes to an emerging threat.

    • You might as well consider the nuclear weapon and the missile development one program, the goal of both is the ability to rain destruction down on all that Iran consider enemies.

  25. Report: U.S. lets United Nations pick which Syrians come to America

A new report on the Syrian refugee resettlement program reveals that the United Nations — not U.S. officials — initially pick and choose who can move to the United States and even become an American citizen.

What’s more, the vetting system used by the U.S.-funded United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees is wide open to rampant fraud, raising the specter that potential terrorists could buy their way into the United States, according to the analysis from the Center for Immigration Studies.

The report focused on a little-known path to how refugees get into America: The United Nations makes the first pick, not the State Department.

Under the system, the UNHCR considers those seeking to come to America before turning that list over to the United States to consider.

“Out of the four million-plus registered Syrian refugees in the region, UNHCR has so far submitted 22,427 cases to the United States for resettlement consideration. Of those, about 2,000 were accepted last year. The United States is welcoming Syrian refugees only from the 22,427 who made it through UNHCR referrals,” said the report from senior analyst Nayla Rush.

The report raised two huge issues. First, it found that the U.N. system is simply overloaded. Just consider this: Since there are over 4 million refugees and and 2,038 UNHCR staffers, each interviewer is responsible for vetting 2,100-2,800 refugees each.

And insiders have fretted about various types of fraud, where people can lie or pay their way through the U.N. system.

“In summary, Americans are asked today to welcome Syrian refugees without hesitation and have total faith in the refugee resettlement program. They are asked to give the benefit of the doubt to UNHCR staff in tormented countries, and to trust their own government officials with their national security — officials who are delegating parts of their screening responsibilities overseas to the UNHCR,” said the report.

“The UNHCR is deciding not only who can move to the United States, it is also choosing who gets a chance to become American and who doesn’t. Given such high stakes, Americans should be encouraged to question this opaque system,” it concluded.

      • All UN programs are notoriously corrupt, look at the way the police that the UN sent into the Balkans to train and monitor the local police quickly took over the white slave trade in those regions. Watch the movie The Whistleblower for more on this subject.

        • I know most about the UNHRC because of the damage they’ve done in Israel.

Incitement-Central. Launching platforms for Hamas rockets. Their vested interest in keeping “Palestinians” in refugee status for 70 years. Vast sums of money, an infinite sink.

  27. Belgium charge top jihadi expert over false affidavit for detainee

Brussels (AFP) – Belgian prosecutors said Monday they have arrested a high-profile expert on jihadi fighters and charged him with providing a suspected extremist with a false affidavit that he was on a deradicalisation course.

Montasser AlDe’emeh runs a centre in Brussels’ gritty Molenbeek district — where several of those who carried out November’s Paris attacks lived — that aims to prevent young Belgians from going to fight in Syria and also help reintegrate those who do so on their return.

Federal prosecutors said he was charged with “having drawn up and submitted a false affidavit concerning a deradicalisation course taken by Jawad O. at the centre.”

He was conditionally released after being charged.

Prosecutors said Jawad O. was arrested on November 24, a few days after jihadists killed 130 people in a series of attacks across Paris which increasingly appear to have been coordinated from Brussels.

The prosecutors said Jawad O. — who has not been further identified — had been charged with taking part in the activities of a terrorist group. They gave no further details.

His brother Khalid O. was also arrested and released on Monday.

Flemish TV station VRT reported that Jawad O. had been detained just as he tried to leave for Syria and that Khalid, an imam at a mosque in the northern Belgian city of Malines, had contacted AlDe’emeh at the time to seek his help.

The prosecutors said AlDe’emeh and Khalid O. submitted the false affidavit to a court hearing on November 27 in the hope of obtaining Jawad’s release.

The three men will appear in court within 24 hours to answer the charges, they said.

AlDe’emeh wrote a book about Belgium’s jihadi fighters — believed to number around 500 — and is a regular contributor to local and foreign media on the issue.

The subject is hugely controversial in Belgium, which in proportion to its size is Europe’s largest source of foreign fighters heading to Syria and Iraq, with the government fearing they will return home radicalised and battle-hardened.

Jihadism expert himself arrested in Molenbeek

The renowned Islam academic and jihadism expert Montasser AlDe’emeh was apprehended in Molenbeek on Monday morning. The arrest has nothing to do with the Paris terror attacks, but with a document he allegedly forged to help out a friend.

At the end of November, a man was apprehended as he wanted to go to Syria to join jihadist groups. After his arrest, his brother, an imam in the city of Mechelen, contacted AlDe’emeh asking him to draw up a document that his brother followed a deradicalisation course with him. This could help him to be released, it was thought, but it didn’t help.

The man stayed in gaol and now it turns out that the document is probably fake, and that he never followed the course. Magistrates now want to hear from AlDe’emeh why he drew up the document. The imam was also arrested. An examining judge will have to decide on their fate later.
    Incident in December

Montasser AlDe’emeh is a Belgian-Palestinian author and researcher who built a good reputation as an Islam expert. Now working at Nijmegen University in the Netherlands, he started a reception centre in Mechelen to start a conversation with youths returning from Syria to try and understand their reasons.

AlDe’emeh also made the news last December when he was stopped by Brussels police who thought he was behaving suspicously.

The first suspect, the man who was already behind bars, is also believed to have been a member of ‘The Way of Life’, an organisation created to take the place of Sharia4Belgium that was officially banned.

In all, 3 people were apprehended during 4 house raids in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, Antwerp and Mechelen this morning.

  28. Germany: Hundreds of masked hooligans riot in Leipzig on LEGIDA anniversary

Hundreds of masked right-wing hooligans rioted in Connewitz, a leftist stronghold district of Leipzig, Monday, burning cars and smashing shops during the one-year anniversary march of the anti-Muslim LEGIDA movement.

According to Leipzig police, hooligans set several cars on fire, fired pyrotechnics and smashed dozens of shops.

LEGIDA is the Leipzig branch of the right-wing, anti-Muslim Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of Europe (PEGIDA) movement.

The LEGIDA rally was met by thousands of pro-refugee counter-demonstrators. Around 2,000 police officers were deployed to prevent clashes between both groups.

How can you explain why Germany, which in the 20th century had such a gigantic anti-Semitism problem, would import so many people from those areas of the world which now have the same gigantic anti-Semitism problem?

The police water cannons were not in evidence on New Year’s Eve to break up the migrant gangs committing violent crimes against women. Instead they were used to break up a lawful demonstration of people opposed to such violent attacks on women.
