4. Turkish forces kill 25 PKK militants in operation

(For all the noise Turkey makes about fighting the Islamic State, the only stories about Turkey actually targeting and killing people I ever see, are against Kurds, the one effective anti IS group out there)

Turkish security forces have killed 25 Kurdish militants this week as they battle suspected members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) inside two flashpoint towns, security sources said on Thursday.

The operations conducted inside the towns of Cizre and Silopi in the southeastern Sirnak province, backed by curfews, mark a new escalation in five months of fighting with the PKK since a truce collapsed.

Twenty-four PKK members have been killed in Cizre since the operations began earlier this week, while one was killed in Silopi, security sources told AFP, increasing an earlier toll.

5. German police raid Stuttgart mosque linked to ‘Islamic State’

(More surprising, is how any police force finds any Sunni mosque that isn’t connected to the Islamic State)

Police have raided, closed and banned a Muslim association and mosque in Stuttgart for supporting the “Islamic State” militant group. Several people from the region frequented the center before leaving for Syria.

Authorities in the southwestern state of Baden-Württemberg raided and shut down a Muslim association and mosque said to have financially supported and recruited on behalf of the “Islamic State” militant group.

6. Denmark Wants To Seize Jewelry And Cash From Refugees

The bill presented on 10 December 2015 provides the Danish authorities with the power to search clothes and luggage of asylum seekers – and other migrants without a permit to stay in Denmark – with a view to finding assets which may cover the expenses,” Mia Tang, the press spokesperson for the Danish ministry of integration, said in an email to The Washington Post.

The law would also impact refugees already in the country. It is included in an asylum policy bill which is expected to pass Parliament in January and would be set to take effect by next February. Police authorities would be allowed to seize valuables and cash amounts they deem expensive enough. According to the integration ministry, “the new rule on seizure will only apply to assets of a considerable value.” Foreigners are expected to be able to “keep assets which are necessary to maintain a modest standard of living, e.g. watches and mobile phones.

7. Israeli Emergency Response Director Refuses to Treat Terrorists Before Jews

(It seems to me that the person who did not wish to be injured or damaged in any way should get medical care well before the person who put themselves in the situation where they would be injured with full guilty knowledge and malice of fore thought. In fact that person should be billed for any and all medical care they receive. Victims of violence first. Perps later if they survive. I cannot find anything that makes it unreasonable except the post modern moral relativism view that is the great equalizer of all actions based on race, real or imputed. There is no need to add ‘Jewish’ to victim. The unwitting injured in an attack gets treated. The attacker should be a secondary consideration once defanged)

The director of the Israeli emergency response service has issued a strong rejection of the Israeli Medical Association’s pronouncement that emergency services should first treat the most seriously wounded person at the scene of a terror attack – even if that person is the Arab terrorist.

Israel National News reports that after ethics office chairman Prof. Avinoam Reche asserted that “Israel is not Iran” and insisted that Jewish moral values would not be taken into account when treating the injured at terror scenes, Yehuda Meshi Zahav, director of the ZAKA emergency response service, declared that he would not be lectured about morality: “The Jews brought morality to the world and no one will teach us what morality is.”

10. Congress Votes To Fund Nearly 300,000 Visas For Muslim Migrants In One Year

The House passed

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) 58% ’s $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill, negotiated with

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) 9%

A majority of House Republicans voted for the measure, which fully funds Obama’s refugee resettlement operation, all Mideast immigration programs, Sanctuary Cities, Obama’s continued executive amnesty for DREAMers, and the resettlement of illegal aliens within the U.S. interior.

In perhaps a display of loyalty to Ryan, three-fifths of the Republican conference supported his legislation, and even gave him a standing ovation following the bill’s passage.

In passing this legislation, the House has approved funding for the issuance of nearly three hundred thousand visas to migrants from Muslim countries in the next year alone.

More to come.

    • US-led coalition strike may have killed Iraqi soldiers: US military

Washington (AFP) – An air strike by the US-led coalition fighting the Islamic State may have killed Iraqi soldiers on Friday, the US military said, in what was likely the first “friendly fire” incident in the war on the extremists.

It appears to be the same incident which Iraq’s joint operations command earlier said left 10 Iraqi soldiers killed or wounded south of the jihadist stronghold of Fallujah.

“Despite coordination with the Iraqi security forces on the ground, initial reports indicate the possibility one of the strikes resulted in the death of Iraqi soldiers,” the US military said in a statement, adding that it would launch an investigation.

“The coalition offers condolences on the unfortunate loss of life of brave Iraq security forces on the front lines in the fight against Daesh today,” it added, using an alternative acronym for the Islamic State group.

All coalition air strikes on the IS extremists are conducted with the approval of the Iraqi government, the US military said.

“To the best of our knowledge, there have been no previous incidents of friendly fire in Iraq involving the coalition during the course of Operation Inherent Resolve,” it added.

A US airstrike killed at least 20 Iraqi soldiers, injuring more than 30, confirmed Iraqi head of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee Hakim al-Zamili in Baghdad, Friday. The airstrike hit Iraq’s 3rd Division 55th Brigade as they were advancing on so-called Islamic State positions south of the militant group’s stronghold of Fallujah.

I agree absolutely, Ross. Blow that despicable Turk’s head clean off, then invite all Turks everywhere to fight it out like the men they pretend to be.

      • Russia seems to be taking a page from our military manuals, use technology to make up for the lower numbers, despite what the LSM says this works and the number of causalities we have taken has been remarkably low.

  1. Obama Mocks Russia: They Haven’t “Moved the Needle” in Syria in Last Two Months

The ISIS “jayvee” team now has affiliated branches in 17 countries.

Obama started the US campaign against ISIS in 2014. ISIS continues to expand and now has loyal groups in 17 countries. Putin started bombing ISIS two months ago after ISIS took down a Russian plane in the Sinai. Today Obama mocked the Russians for not moving the needle in Syria after two months.

I do think you’ve seen by the Russians that after a couple of months they’re not really moving the needle that much despite a sizeable deployment inside of Syria.

    • 2. “We are all Muslim” cannot be read from the Muslims’ perspective to ridicule Michael Moore. Doing this is no more that having two Muslims slaughter a British soldier, recite the Koran, and David Cameron then explain to the world it had nothing to do with Islam with Obama saying it was down to Climate Change.

So we mustn’t witness Michael Moore and then claim similarly that this has nothing to do with Socialism, (their real in-forming), by explaining why he is not a proper Muslim. Duh, he already knows he’s not. Why do you follow the text with your finger and your lips moving?

We have to look at his motive.

“We are all Muslims,” just means we are all victims of right-wing extremists like Trump – in a reaction to his statement to keep Muslims out of America. The majority of Peaceful Islamists are oppressed because of a tiny minority who behead, rape, and torture to the letter of the Koran. Michael stands with these gentle Moderates in solidarity. He is saying, “we are all Muslims too, bro,” united against fascism.

Now you have his motive, you can deconstruct his arguments sensibly.

    • He has always been a fat evil turd, this doesn’t even sink him to a new low, it is on the same level of his other attacks on the US.

    • Michael Moore is not evil.

      Muslims are not evil.

      They are traumatized and hypnotised.

You heal the sick. You forgive them for ‘they no not what then do’ and do not let them crucify you to a point of submission.

Do you care then, to know why they do what they do with the same loyalty of oath they have in common. I spent an hour on it writing and teaching myself. You can to.

    • What is called “evil,” from the soon-to-be single-parent to Allah’s Best Bitch, is “entitlement.”

  2. NATO agrees Turkey air defense package, seeks ‘predictability’

BRUSSELS (Reuters) – NATO allies agreed on Friday to send aircraft and ships to Turkey to strengthen Ankara’s air defenses on its border with Syria, the alliance’s chief said.

Diplomats said the package is partly designed to avoid more shoot-downs of Russian planes.

Envoys to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization approved the plan and must now decide what military assets to send to Turkey, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg told Reuters, stressing that it was a defensive measure.

“We have agreed on a package of assurance measures for Turkey in view of the volatile situation in the region,” Stoltenberg said, although he avoided any reference to Russia’s military involvement in Syria and its air incursions.

Given that Turkey already has a formidable air force, NATO diplomats and military experts say the alliance’s involvement is to minimize the risk of any repeat of Turkey’s Nov. 24 shooting down of a Russian warplane that flew into Turkish airspace.

That was the first known incident of its kind since the Cold War and the most serious of several air incursions since early October, leaving relations between Turkey and Russia at their lowest ebb in recent memory. Moscow has retaliated with sanctions and called it a “hostile act”.

Due to be assembled in the coming weeks, the package will include NATO’s AWACS surveillance planes and what Stoltenberg described as “enhanced air policing, and increased naval presence including maritime patrol aircraft.”

The ships will be provided by Germany and Denmark, which are exercising in the eastern Mediterranean.

AWACS monitor airspace within a radius of more than 400 km (250 miles) and exchange information via digital data links, with ground-based, sea-based and airborne commanders.

Asked if this was about managing Turkey’s airspace with more caution than Ankara has shown in the past, Stoltenberg said: “This will give us a better situational awareness … more transparency, more predictability and that will contribute to stabilizing the situation in the region and also calm tensions,” Stoltenberg said.

    AWKWARD POSITION

Spain has also agreed to extend its Patriot surface-to-air missiles along Turkey’s border to shoot down any missiles from Syria’s conflict fired into Turkish territory. Germany and the United States recently removed their batteries from the area.

NATO diplomats worry Ankara is too aggressive and that further incidents could escalate the situation after Russia moved its modern S-400 air defense system into Syria that can hit missiles and aircraft from up to 400 km.

It has also upgraded its strike aircraft with SU-34 fighters.

While NATO allies do not dispute Ankara’s version of the facts, they also are keen to engage Russia in talks to avoid incidents that could flare from Moscow’s aggressive patrolling of alliance air borders around Turkey, the Baltic states and the North Sea.

Diplomats said the United States and European allies are in the awkward position of urging Ankara to do more against Islamic State in Syria – including sealing a section of the border crossed by fighters and oil smugglers – while encouraging it to avoid further incidents with Russia and to keep alive a peace process with the Kurds in southeastern Turkey.

“We are concerned about the military build-up in the region,” Stoltenberg said, and said he hoped NATO could repeat the same kind of air policing done in the Baltics, “without incidents and accidents”.
