  1. Cruelty of Palestinian Attackers at 1972 Munich Olympics Revealed

Ilana Romano and Ankie Spitzer, whose husbands were among the 11 Israeli athletes held hostage and killed by Palestinian terrorists at the 1972 Olympics in Munich, have for the first time spoken openly about documentation, previously unknown to the public, about how the Israeli Olympic team members were beaten and, in at least one case, castrated.

Ms. Spitzer explained that she only learned the details of how the victims were treated in 1992, when German authorities released reports they previously denied existed.

The New York Times reviewed the photographs but has chosen not to publish them because of their graphic nature.

      – why am I reminded of Arafat when I read this?
      – is it true that Arafat raped little boys?
      – Why are the so-called “Palestinians” (basically just Arabs I think) and their jew-hating “fans” à la “from-the-river-to-the-sea-crap-crap-etc” still now wearing these Arafat keffiyehs in this repulsive monster’s “honour”?
-What is the Arab Terrorists’ obsession with genitals (till today) is it penis envy?
      – re Arab/Muslim obsession with genitals – that also extends to little girls.
      These poor families –

“…“The moment I saw the photos, it was very painful,” Ms. Romano said. “I remembered until that day Yossef as a young man with a big smile. I remembered his dimples until that moment.”

She hesitated. “At that moment, it erased the entire Yossi that I knew,” she said.”

      🙁

      • Most primitive people mutilate their captives ot the dead enemies so they will be crippled in the next world (heaven) and will not be able to seek revenge for what was done to them. The rest of the world has moved on from the need to mutilate your enemies but the Koran freezes the Arabs in the 7th Century.

        • OT: Richard, you’re back!
It certainly took you a long time.
I missed you and was worried.
There are some great new people here. You’ll be delighted by our window to Eastern Europe, among others.

New laptop! The system isn’t all set up yet, but at least I’m online and able to control the keypad. AND watch MOVIES!

          • It took me longer to get the apartment then it should because the woman who does the leasing kept having people in there husbands family dying, including her husband as the first. Then the internet connection was bad and now the cale box is not working right. Also the cat is upset because this is the second new house this year, prior to this year she was in the same house for 15 years.

given the terror attacks around the world I am going to have to work through all of my back emails. I am hunting for a map of the US that i can hang on the wall and put push pins in the locations of teh terror attacks. I recommend all Americans do the same and the people i n Europe should use the appropriate maps, look for the patterns in the attacks, these patterns may take several months to a year to become obvious they will tell you some of what the enemy is thinking.

I am having some heart problems but they should become a big danger for several years, with luck I will have another 20 to 30 years of life.

            • 70 is the new 40.
I was thinking, he hurt his back moving, maybe his heart…

No incident map on the wall for me, though. I spend too much time on maps online.

              • You are partially right, the back is hurting from moving but it will ease up now that I am no lifting and since I am back in town i can walk to stores and the library. Being without a working vehicle is the pits.

          • I will have to go back and get the URLs for some old movies that are real good. I though of you when I watched them and in November all I had was old movies and DVDs I had bought (there use to be a used DVD store in town and the two pawn shops take in DVDs so I can get good movies fairly cheap.

            • My new display is awesome. No built-in DVD burner anymore. I bought an external burner, but my hands can’t manage it.

              • USB keys are the present. DVD burners are not useful and they have little to no archival value. They typically only last 2 years at most.

      • First the Italian tablecloth:
Bernard Lewis explains the totem headrag in the Introduction to The Middle East: A Brief History of the Last 2000 Years, (Scribner, 1995).

Anyone who has ever visited a cemetery of the Ottoman era will recall that many of the headstones over the graves include a carved representation of the form of headgear worn by the deceased during his lifetime…Whatever other walk of life he followed during his lifetime, the appropriate headgear, as a symbol indicative of his profession, appears on his grave. A distinction so important that it followed a man into his tomb was clearly of great importance during his lifetime.

The book is a Bernard Lewis masterpiece. And it has pictures too!

      • Hi Rita!
I’d love to read answers to your fine questions from others here at Vlad Tepes.
        My thoughts:
==> I assume pederasty is intimately linked with the practice of “assuming the position” five times a day.

==> Arafat founded the PLO and defined the “Palestinian” people as a negative constant.

All Tards live to make the world Tardish, but the Palestinians are a unique subclass, defined by their devotion to displacing Jews in the region. Without Jews, there are no Palestinians. That’s why they can’t make peace. It’s also why the rest of the Arab world despises them.

        ==> Obsession with genitals.
Freudians have all the right answers, but I think castration is just a primitive instinct to ensure the enemy has no progeny to wreck vengeance in the future.

Or – it’s projection: since the genitals define manhood in a world that despises women, what could be worse than being “femaled”? (Clueless as they are about female-configured anatomy that’s separate but equal.)

Or – pleasure and meaning are exclusively genital-centric to this class of primate. So depriving another of his toys is to inflict singular anguish.
        ……..

        Munich Olympics:
I always wondered why Golda Meir chose to avenge this attack differently from others in the ’70s.

She personally dispatched the hit squad that would hunt and put down these animals. She met each designated assassin separately at her residence, framing the mission as a favor to her.

This was an “off the books” commission – no Mossad, total Israeli deniability. There could be zero collateral damage. It took several years, but they got the job done.

          • Orders to avoid collateral damage were priority, but Lillehammer was one of the few mistakes. Conspiracy theories bloomed around that episode and intentional disinformation clouded things nicely.

These were contract killers. Minimal direct Israeli help and none from the diaspora Jews who occasionally freelanced for Israeli intelligence. There were no women in the hit squad itself.

The agents had to infiltrate overseas networks and cultivate talented locals. Logistics, weapons procurement, safe-houses, spotters – all commissioned as if by independent contractors. This was extremely costly.

The dense European urban-guerrilla broth served all sorts of unsavory creatures. In the ’70s the Soviets were discreetly facilitating terrorism for widely disparate “causes”. Think the Bader-Meinhof gang, terrorist-central, Belgian mastery of explosive devices. Women were as much a part of this scene as men.

A couple years into the job there were rumors that a second team had been sent out. Maybe. All I know is that it was the original team who completed the assignment. There were some casualties, some close calls with local law enforcement, but none compromised the mission.

    • OT I am back on the net, this is the wrong time to be out of contact, the Moslems seem to be making a move much sooner then I thought they would.

      • They’re making the natives restless. Let’s hope they’ve jumped the gun, and we can still control the animals with little more than a whip and chair.

  2. So on BFM TV in France they were reporting it as not a terrorist attack, even though the main shooter is now confirmed as a devout Muslim and it was a Christmas party.

At least France Inter a left wing radio station did say it was possibly linked to terrorism, which was to me surprising, normally they are as twisty as any media I have come across.

BFM TV went straight into the Anti-Gun narrative last night and they were at it again this morning. And yet earlier last night they had the author of Dawa on who was evidently picking his words very carefully.

The media proves yet again to be a big fail.

And another thing to remember, the girlfriend of Charb was interviewed on BFM TV, it was a powerful interview and I said that she would be ignored after that interview, I have not seen anything about her since that interview.

  3. UK launches first Syria air strikes (BBC, Dec 3, 2015)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-34992032

“RAF Tornado jets have carried out their first air strikes against so-called Islamic State in Syria, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed.

Four Tornados from RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus took part in the operation soon after MPs voted to approve bombing.

The strikes targeted the Omar oil fields in eastern Syria, which is under IS control, and were “successful”, Defence Secretary Michael Fallon said.

He had personally approved the targets ahead of the Commons vote, he said.

On Wednesday, MPs voted by 397 votes to 223 for UK military action against IS – also known as Daesh – in Syria after a 10-hour Commons debate.

Mr Fallon said the Ministry of Defence would be assessing the damage done by the bombing later, but the aim was to strike “a very real blow on the oil and revenue on which Daesh depends”….”

  4. Pakistan refuses to allow migrants deported from Greece to disembark from plane in Islamabad (tribune, Dec 3, 2015)
    http://tribune.com.pk/story/1003156/pakistan-refuses-to-allow-migrants-deported-from-greece-to-disembark-from-plane-in-islamabad/

“Pakistan refused on Thursday to allow 30 migrants deported from Greece to disembark from a plane at the Benazir International Airport, Islamabad, the interior ministry said, a week after high-level talks with the European Union to settle a dispute over forced repatriations.

“On the orders of Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, the FIA has not allowed these illegally deported people and the aircraft crew to leave the plane,” the ministry said in a statement, referring to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

Further, according to the ministry, the deportees were sent back illegally and in violation of Pakistan’s laws.

The statement pointed out that a settlement of all issues related to illegal migrants and their subsequent deportation had already been reached with the European Union, but an EU nation has violated the Pakistani laws which will not be allowed at any cost.

“Illegal deportees from any country who do not hold any proper documentation will be sent back to the respective countries,” it added.

Earlier, the government instructed its diplomatic missions in European capitals to demand evidence of a potential crime when host countries sought to deport illegal immigrants being held on terror charges to Pakistan.

The move came days after the government said it had suspended its agreement on the readmission of illegal immigrants with European Union countries, except Britain, because of its “blatant misuse”.

Further, during a meeting Nisar directed Pakistani diplomatic missions in Europe to demand proof from host governments that wanted to deport Pakistanis on terror charges, a statement said.

“It is a violation of human rights if any Pakistani is deported on terror charges without any proof,” he said, according to the statement.

“We have to not only give courage to Pakistani expatriates, but also stand by them at every step.””

  7. Russia: ‘Allah decided to punish’ Turkey’s leaders by making them lose their minds – Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on Russia’s relations with Turkey in the wake of Turkey’s downing of a Russian Air Force jet, during his state of the nation address in Moscow on Thursday.

SOT, Russian President Vladimir Putin (in Russian): “We know, for example, who in Turkey is stuffing their pockets and allowing terrorists to earn money from the sale of stolen Syrian oil. It is with this money specifically that the bandits are hiring mercenaries, purchasing arms, organizing inhuman acts of terror aimed against our citizens, against the citizens of France, Lebanon, Mali, and other countries. We remember that, specifically in Turkey, militants were hiding out and received moral and material support – militants who fought in the North Caucasus in the 1990s and 2000s, and we continue to notice them operating in that area.”

SOT, Russian President Vladimir Putin (in Russian): “We have many old and trustworthy friends in Turkey. I want to emphasize that we are not equating them with that part of the current ruling establishment, which carries the primary responsibility for the deaths of our servicemen in Syria. We will not forget this aid to terrorism. We have always and will always view betrayal as the worst and most embarrassing deed. Let those in Turkey who shot our pilots in the back know this; those who hypocritically attempt to justify themselves and their actions as well as to cover the tracks of terrorism. Respected colleagues, I do not understand at all why they did this. Any questions, any problems, and any contradictions, which we did not even see – we could have resolved them in a completely different way. On top of this, we were ready to work together with Turkey in all areas which Turkey considers to be most sensitive, and were ready to go so far, even further than their allies were willing to go. Only Allah knows why they did this and it looks like Allah decided to punish the ruling establishment by taking away their reason and judgment.”

  10. San Bernardino Shooter Syed Farook Apparently Radicalized: Sources

San Bernardino shooter Syed Rizwan Farook was in touch over the phone and via social media with more than one international terrorism subject who the FBI were already investigating, law enforcement officials said.

It appears that Farook was radicalized, which contributed to his motive, though other things — like workplace grievances — may have also played a role, other law enforcement sources said.

    • CNN – Officials: San Bernardino shooter apparently radicalized, in touch with terror subjects

San Bernardino, California (CNN)Syed Rizwan Farook — one-half of the couple behind the San Bernardino shooting massacre — was apparently radicalized and in touch with people being investigated by the FBI for international terrorism, law enforcement officials said Thursday.

Farook’s apparent radicalization contributed to his role in the mass shooting, with his wife Tashfeen Malik, of 14 people on Wednesday during a holiday party for the San Bernardino County health department, where Farook worked, sources said.

Still, it wasn’t necessarily the only driver behind the carnage as workplace grievances may have also played a role. President Barack Obama hinted as much Thursday when he said that the attackers may have had “mixed motives.”

Farook traveled to Saudi Arabia for several weeks in 2013 on the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca that Muslims are required to take at least once in their lifetime, which didn’t raise red flags, said two government officials. It was during this trip that he met Malik, a native of Pakistan who came to the United States on a “fiancée visa” and later became a lawful permanent resident.

Officials had previously said that neither Farook and Malik were known to the FBI or on a list of potentially radicalized people. Nor had they had any known interactions with police until Wednesday’s deadly shootout that culminated in their deaths.

Yet Farook himself had communicated by phone and via social media with more than one person being investigated for terrorism, law enforcement officials said. A separate U.S. government official said the 28-year-old has “overseas communications and associations.”

As to what role those all played in the San Bernardino carnage, the official acknowledged, ” We don’t know yet what they mean.”

    • Police: 12 Bombs Found At Home Searched After Shooting

[..]San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan said in a press conference Thursday investigators found 3 pipe bombs combined into one unit at the Inland Regional Center with a remote control detonation device that “appears not to have worked.”

Officials found another 12 “pipe bomb-type devices” in the house and garage that became a focal point in the investigation, along with “hundreds of tools” to construct improvised bombs. Police also found 2,000 9mm and 2,500 .223-caliber long rifle rounds in the search.

Four high capacity “assault-style” guns recovered were all purchased legally, he said. Burguan said the number of wounded has risen from 17 to 21, with two police officers injured in the shootout on a black SUV that left two suspects dead.

[…]the shooting was an “elaborate scheme” that appears to have included “a degree of planning.”

The couple arrived wearing tactical-style vests to hold ammunition and gun magazines, firing 65 to 75 into the room where San Bernardino County Department of Public Health officials were gathered for a holiday party.[…]

    • Turkey gives the cold shoulder to US proposal to seal Syria border

Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has underlined the difficulties and potential complications of a move by Turkey to close the border with Syria, as a report revealed Ankara’s anger over U.S. leadership’s insistence on using Turkish ground forces on the border to accomplish this goal.

“Keeping the entire border with Syria [closed] may come on the agenda as a project but then what will you do about transiting refugees? We have a moral responsibility along this 911-kilometer-long border and it is accepting refugees. We have a strategic responsibility and it is ensuring security of the border. Not having terrorists transition and any negative developments on the Turkey-Syria border are in Turkey’s interest. We have paid the highest price for Daesh’s terrorist activities,” Davutoglu said on Dec. 3 in response to a question on border security, using the Arabic acronym Daesh to refer to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

“There is nothing more difficult than protecting a border on the other side of which there is no political authority. There is no functioning state system or counterpart administration on the other side. At the moment, around 98 kilometers of our border seem under Daesh control. In the past months we had given orders to build physical barriers on the entire border and these physical barriers are being built. Control is maintained through signal systems but beyond that we are conducting all kinds of works to eradicate Daesh from these 98 kilometers,” Davutoglu said at a press conference ahead of his departure for an official visit to Baku.

“The characteristic of Russia’s operations [in Syria], which are not against Daesh, is one of the factors which obstructs the eradication of Daesh from our borders,” he added.

In its Nov. 27 edition, The Wall Street Journal focused on the pressure U.S. President Barack Obama’s administration has put on Turkey to deploy thousands of additional troops along its border with Syria to cordon off a 98-kilometer frontier, by citing U.S. officials as saying it was used by ISIL to move foreign fighters in and out of the war zone.

“The U.S. hasn’t officially requested a specific number of soldiers. Pentagon officials estimated that it could take as many as 30,000 to seal the border on the Turkish side for a broader humanitarian mission. Cordoning off just one section alone could take 10,000 or more, one official estimated,” The Wall Street Journal reported.

According to a Dec. 3 exclusive report by Deniz Zeyrek from daily Hürriyet, discussions over Turkey’s intense deployment of ground forces on the border came on the agenda during a meeting between Turkish and U.S. officials which took place in Ankara.

Yet, according to the Hürriyet report, it was Turkish officials who “pronounced the specific number of 30,000 troops.”

When making an assessment of the U.S. proposal for Turkish troops to protect the border, Turkish officials said, “To keep the border [secure] through the method you mentioned, we need to pile up 30,000 troops along 98 kilometers and put a watchtower/soldier every three meters,” Hürriyet reported.

Ankara refused the U.S. proposal for two reasons; first, it is not applicable and second, the “opposing side” might adopt a hostile attitude by using the troop build-up as a justification, the daily said.

Turkey has begun building walls on the border and increased the number of border patrols and watchtowers, Turkish officials speaking with Hürriyet said, adding these methods have however been insufficient thus far.

To reach 100 percent success, an integrated border system has to be implemented, the same officials told the daily, while noting Turkey would have difficulty meeting the huge expense of such a system.

The border between Turkey and Syria is at the same time the border between NATO and Syria, the officials said, calling on both the European Union and the United States by saying, “Let’s share the cost and we would then rapidly implement it.”

As recently as Dec. 1, Obama said he had spoken to his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in Paris on the sidelines of a climate change conference about the need to close the border between Turkey and Syria, while U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has said Erdogan is “completely committed and ready to proceed” to help guarantee that the remaining portion of the border is closed.

“With respect to Turkey, I have had repeated conversations with President Erdogan about the need to close the border between Turkey and Syria,” Obama said during a speech delivered at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s (OECD) headquarters in Paris on Dec. 1.

“We’ve seen some serious progress on that front, but there are still some gaps. In particular, there’s about 98 kilometers that are still used as a transit point for foreign fighters and for ISIL to ship out fuel for sale that helps finance their terrorist activities,” he added.

Stating the Turkish and U.S. militaries were working together to determine how a combination of air and Turkish ground forces on the Turkish side of the border could do a better job of sealing the border, Obama said that he believed Erdogan “recognizes that.”

Meanwhile, Kerry said Dec. 2 in Brussels that the Turkish side was ready to cooperate in totally sealing its border with Syria.

“President Erdogan is completely committed and ready to proceed with Turkish forces, and in cooperation with others, to help guarantee that the remaining portion of the border is sealed,” Kerry said after a meeting of foreign ministers from the 28 NATO states in Brussels, according to Reuters.

      http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/turkey-gives-the-cold-shoulder-to-us-proposal-to-seal-syria-border.aspx

    • And thus the propaganda war begins, now we have to decide which side is telling the truth. And we have to decide when Obama new of this, after all our surveillance satellites are suppose to be much better then the Russians and are suppose to be watching the area.

  14. Radicalized US Muslim clashed with his Jewish co-worker over religion two weeks before he and Pakistani wife killed 14 at office holiday party using huge arsenal of weapons and pipe bombs (dailymail, Dec 3, 2015)
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3344350/Devout-Muslim-citizen-Saudi-wife-living-American-Dream-identified-heavily-armed-duo-burst-office-holiday-party-slaughtered-14-leaving-baby-mother.html

“FBI agents have discovered nearly 5,000 rounds of ammunition, a dozen pipe bombs and hundreds of tools for making improvised explosive devices at a home in California linked to San Bernardino gunman Syed Farook and his wife, law enforcement officials revealed today.

The news comes as it has emerged that the US-born Farook, 28, appeared to have been radicalized and was in touch by phone and via social media with more than one international terrorism subject, which may have in part motivated Wednesday’s attacks, reported CNN citing investigators.

It is also now known that just two weeks before the shooting rampage, Farook got into a heated argument with a Messianic Jewish colleague about Islam. The gunman’s co-worker, 52-year-old Nicholas Thalasinos, was identified today as one of the victims in the attacks.

Kuuleme Stephens said she happened to call Thalasinos while he was at work and having a discussion with Farook.

Thalasinos identified Farook by name and told her the 28-year-old believed Islam was a peaceful religion. She added that Farook said Americans don’t understand Islam.

Stephens said both men worked as county restaurant inspectors and regularly discussed politics and religion. Thalasinos was passionate about pro-Israel causes and was known to rant about Islam on Facebook.

As the New York Post first reported, Thalasinos’ profile page was filled with negative comments about Muslims and references to his conservative beliefs.

In one of his final status updates posted on Tuesday, Thalasinos responded to an anti-Semitic tirade allegedly penned by an apparent Muslim living in Ukraine who railed against Jews and Israel.

‘Anyway my new hobby appears to be BLOCKING PAGAN ANTISEMITIC TROGLODYTES so I’m just passing this along to warn others,’ was Thalasinos’ reply.

He was back online early Wednesday morning, just hours before the shooting, sharing articles about Russia’s Vladimir Putin and posting a negative comment about President Obama.

It’s unclear at this point if the discussion between the two men played any role in the massacre…”

  15. Neighbors of husband and wife San Bernardino shooters ‘noticed them acting suspiciously but did NOT report them for fear of racial profiling’ (dailymail, Dec 3, 2015)
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3344736/Neighbors-Saudi-husband-wife-San-Bernardino-shooters-noticed-acting-suspiciously-did-NOT-report-fear-racial-profiling.html

“The husband and wife shooters who shot 36 people in San Bernardino in Wednesday had been acting suspiciously in recent weeks, neighbors claim.

Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and Tashfeen Malik, 27, were apparently working late at night in their garage and receiving numerous packages to their home in Redlands, California.

But according to nearby residents, they did not report them for fear of racial profiling.

It has since emerged the couple had 12 pipes bombs, a stock pile of tools to assemble explosives, 2,000 9mm rounds, and over 2,500 223 rounds in their suburban home.

Aaron Elswick, whose friend lives on the street, told KTLA a neighbor described her regret at not reporting Farook and Malik.

‘Sounds like she didn’t do anything about it,’ Elswick said.

‘She didn’t want to do any kind of racial profiling. She’s like, ‘I didn’t call it in … maybe it was just me thinking something that’s not there.’…”

  16. Paris attack fugitive Abdeslam recruited team from migrants in Budapest:Hungarian officials

VIENNA – One of the suspected ringleaders of last month’s Paris attacks, Salah Abdeslam, traveled to Hungary where he “recruited a team” from unregistered migrants passing through, senior Hungarian government officials said Thursday.

“I can confirm that one of the main organizers of the Paris terror attacks was in Budapest,” Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s chief of staff, Janos Lazar, told a regular news conference in Budapest.

Lazar did not name the man or say when he was in Hungary, nor whether those he picked up went on to take part in the Nov. 13 atrocities in the French capital claimed by the Islamic State group.

Speaking to AFP on condition of anonymity, a government source later confirmed that the man was in fact Abdeslam, a key suspect in the Paris attacks who is currently on the run.

Lazar meanwhile said the suspect had been in Keleti station in Budapest, “recruiting a team from immigrants who had refused to register with Hungarian authorities,” referring to migrants.

He then “left the country together with them,” Lazar added.

Until mid-September, when Hungary sealed its border with Serbia, thousands of migrants and refugees spent days or even weeks in makeshift camps at Keleti station on their way to Northern Europe after traveling up through the Balkans.

A French source familiar with the investigation told AFP that a car rented by Abdeslam is known to have been in Hungary on Sept. 17.

It was unclear, however, whether Belgian-born Abdeslam — who played a key role in the Paris attacks in which 130 people were killed — was himself in the vehicle, and if so, whether he was accompanied, the source added.

Abdeslam, 26, was also registered as having been in Austria on Sept. 9 after being stopped in a routine traffic check, Austrian authorities said on Nov. 17.

He and two other men were stopped in a car with Belgian number plates after traveling south from Germany, not west from Hungary.

Abdeslam told police he was “on holiday.

Austrian authorities last month said that the two others “have so far not been named in connection” with the Paris attacks.

Abdeslam, whose brother, Brahim, blew himself up in a bar the night of the attacks, was spirited away from Paris to Belgium after the Nov. 13 massacre by two other men who were later arrested and charged there.

RTL Belgium: Abdeslam took two suicide bombers with him from Hungary

Salah Abdeslam, one of the organizers and participants of last month’s Paris attacks, could meet two men in Hungary, who were just returning from Syria, and who later blew themselves in the suicide bombings –

Abdeslam could visit Hungary in September with a car rented in Belgium, where he could pick up the two people coming from Syria, who later participated in the attacks.

Allegedly, Abdeslam and his two companions were registered by the Austrian authorities while coming from Hungary on September 9th. However, the latter’s identities could not be established accurately.

According to index hu’s sources, counterterrorism reported similar information to the national security committee of the Parliament. At the closed meeting held in November, it was reportedly talked about that Abdeslam was even recognized at the Keleti railway station, too.

Abdeslam has frequently used a rental car with a Belgian license plate in Europe – the Belgian website wrote, referring to investigative sources. On August 4th, his car was checked in Greece, and he probably boarded the ship going to Bari, Italy. Then he was not alone, either: Ahmed Dhamani, who is of Moroccan descent (and Belgian citizen) sat in the car. The Paris bombings lead to him as well. He was caught in Turkey on November 20th – the article’s author noted, referring to police sources.

Salah Abdeslam’s travels across Europe indicate that the young man could perform organizing tasks in the preparation and perpetration of the attacks. This statement is also confirmed by that he rented the two cars used for the Paris attacks, and he also provided accommodation for the attackers in Paris – the Belgian author wrote.

Belgium issued an international arrest warrant against the Brussels-born Abdeslam, who is still a fugitive. Among the two brothers of the young man – who is described as the number one public enemy by the Belgian police – Ibrahim blew himself up as a suicide bomber in the Bataclan concert hall, and the other, Mohamed has been detained in the district of Brussels called Molenbeek-Saint-Jean at the weekend that followed the terror series.

French news agency AFP states Salah Abdeslam could return to Syria, but authorities have not confirmed that– MTI recalled RTL Belgium.

  17. Sweden plans to CLOSE bridge featured in hit TV show linking Malmo with Denmark in response to the country’s record migrant influx (dailymail, Dec 3, 2015)
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3344982/Sweden-plans-CLOSE-bridge-featured-hit-TV-linking-Malmo-Denmark-response-country-s-record-migrant-influx.html

“The Swedish government is considering closing a world-famous bridge linking Malmo with Denmark which featured in a hit TV crime thriller to thwart record numbers of migrants arriving in the country.

However, the plan, which could see the Oresund bridge closed has been branded ‘a disaster’ by the South Swedish Chamber of Commerce president Stephan Muchler.

The structure features in the hit BBC4 series, The Bridge, starring Sofia Helin, who plays Malmo police detective Saga Noren.

Swedish newspaper Di.se has seen documentation from the government which considers closing the crossing.

The bridge is owned jointly by the Swedish and Danish governments. It is a 10-mile long road and rail link which has three sections, including the bridge, an artificial island and finally a tunnel. The bridge accounts for approximately five miles of the crossing.

Already, passengers on trains crossing the bridge or on cars have to show identification before being allowed to cross.

The proposal, not yet finalised, would be part of legislation requiring identity checks on all public transportation to Sweden in a bid to cut the number of asylum seekers, a spokeswoman for the infrastructure minister said.

It would include giving the government the option of temporarily closing road traffic over the bridge – but not trains – and other roads into Sweden, spokeswoman Elin Tibell said…”

  18. Germany scolds BND spy agency over Saudi criticism (BBC, Dec 3, 2015)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35001377

“The German government has publicly rebuked its own foreign intelligence agency after the BND suggested that Saudi Arabia’s foreign policy was becoming more “impulsive”.

The agency was particularly critical of the Saudi defence minister.

Officials in Berlin reacted after the Saudi government reportedly complained about the BND’s frank assessment.

“The published assessment does not reflect the position of the German government,” a spokesman said.

Saudi Arabia was an important partner “in a crisis-ridden world” and had great significance “especially on the way to peace in Syria”, the spokesman insisted.

Anyone seeking a regional solution needed constructive relations with the Saudis, who were supporting rebel groups in the fight against the militant Islamist State (IS) group, he added.

The BND briefing, which emerged in German media, assessed changes in Saudi foreign policy since King Salman took power in January, including its military intervention in neighbouring Yemen and its decision to ramp up support for rebels in Syria. Saudi policies in Lebanon, Bahrain, Iraq were also cited.

“What was previously a cautious diplomatic stance of the elder leaders in the royal family is being replaced by an impulsive policy of intervention,” the briefing said, adding that the Saudis were losing faith in the United States as a guarantor of regional peace.

It also singled out the king’s son and defence minister, Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, whom it suspected of holding ambitions of securing the royal succession.

Relations between Germany and the Saudis have become tense in recent years, analysts say, because of Berlin’s decision to tighten restrictions on arms contracts and to speak out on human rights.

The German coalition government agreed this week to take part in a supporting role in the fight against IS militants in Syria.

A vote in the Bundestag on Friday is expected to back the mission, which involves Tornado reconnaissance aircraft, a naval frigate and a 1,200-strong force.”

“Russia has suspended talks with Turkey on a major gas pipeline project in the Black Sea, in a further escalation after Turkey downed a Russian warplane.

The TurkStream project was designed to boost Russian gas exports to Turkey – but now there are doubts about its future, as Russia tightens sanctions.

Turkey is the second biggest customer of Russian gas after Germany.

Russia began building part of TurkStream in May. It would have replaced the South Stream pipeline.

The suspension of talks was announced by Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak…”

Shahab Nuraldin Shahab, an Iraqi billionaire businessman, showed off his stunning 20 million (€18,276,524) replica of the White House, Thursday, after he built the structure on the cusp of the so-called Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) territory in the city of Erbil.

  21. Russian MP: Turkey to Return Hagia Sophia to Greece as Friendly Gesture

Russian MP Sergei Gavrilov suggested that Turkey should return Hagia Sophia to the Greek Orthodox Church as a gesture of good will, in light of the refugee issue and the Turkey-Russia diplomatic episode.

“The Russian side considers it possible to remind of Hagia Sophia, one of the oldest Christian holy places and the ancient Byzantine cathedral, which is now situated in Turkey. We expect from the Turkish side a friendly step – to return the Cathedral to the hands of the Orthodox church of Constantinople. The Russian side is ready to provide financial assistance and enlist the best Russian restorers and scientists’ aid in the restoration of the ecumenical Christian artifact. Such step would help Turkey and Islam to show that the good will is above politics,” Gavrilov said, according to Russia‘s RCB TV.

Gavrilov is a member of the Communist Party faction and coordinator of the inter-faction deputy group on protecting Christian values. According to the report, several Russian lawmakers support the idea.

  22. Migrant crisis: Greece seeks EU help amid border chaos (BBC, Dec 3, 2015)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35002315

“Greece has asked for EU help in managing its borders, as thousands of migrants remain stuck on its northern frontier with Macedonia.

Macedonia has only been letting in Syrians, Iraqis and Afghans who are fleeing conflict, sparking angry demonstrations from other groups.

Tear gas was fired on Thursday as police unsuccessfully moved to clear a border crossing blocked by protesters

A young Moroccan migrant was electrocuted amid clashes near Idomeni.

The man died after climbing onto the roof of a train carriage and touching a high-voltage overhead cable, local police said.

Some 5,000 people are now stuck at the border, including 43 busloads of Syrians, Iraqis and Afghans who arrived overnight on Wednesday.

EU interior ministers will meet on Friday to discuss Greece’s ability to control the flow of migrants crossing through the country on the way to northern Europe.

Athens’ acceptance of help from EU border agency Frontex and European aid to care for migrants was welcomed by the bloc ahead of the meeting.

Reports had suggested that some EU states had asked for Greece to be suspended from the Schengen passport-free zone for not doing enough to secure its external borders and allegedly rejecting EU help.

Greece denies that it ever spurned EU assistance, but the government, aware of domestic ramifications, has sought to make clear that Frontex will only assist with migrant registration, and not conduct joint border patrols.

Almost 600,000 migrants have arrived in Greece this year, mostly by boat from nearby Turkey. The government has spent some €1bn (£722,000) on managing the crisis, it says.

Many migrants try to travel onwards to northern Europe through the Balkans, where countries have put up fences and reinstated border controls.

The thousands of people stranded near Idomeni are sleeping in charity-provided shelters, tents or in the fields…”

  23. SUDAN – 27 Muslims on trial for apostasy in Sudan: Lawyer

Some 27 Sudanese Muslims are standing trial in a Khartoum court accused of apostasy, risking the death penalty if they are convicted, their lawyer told AFP on Thursday.

The men are accused of taking the Koran as the sole source of religious legitimacy and rejecting other Islamic texts.

“The court in Kalakla in south Khartoum has started the trial of 27 defendants brought before it under Article 126 of Sudanese criminal law, apostasy from Islam,” defence lawyer Ahmed Ali Ahmed told AFP by telephone.

If convicted of apostasy, the defendants could face the death penalty under the Sharia Islamic law that has been in place in Sudan since 1983.

They are also charged with disturbing the public order, Ahmed said.

Ahmed said investigators told the court that police arrested five of the defendants on November 2 inside a market in the southern Khartoum neighbourhood of Mayo “when they were talking to people about their conviction in the belief in the Koran and how they don’t recognise” other religious texts.

He said that the remainder were arrested the next day for the same reasons.

The defendants are accused of belonging to adheres strictly to the Koran and rejects the authority of the sunnah, traditions attributed to the Muslim Prophet Mohammed.

Both Sunni and Shiite Muslims rely on the sunnah as a source of Islamic law.

The trial of the 27 started last Sunday and went through four sessions during which the judge heard the investigators’ case against the men before it adjourned on Wednesday.

    It resumes on December 8.

  24. Australia to Strip Citizenship From Terror Suspects (abcnews, Dec 3, 2015)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/australia-strip-citizenship-terror-suspects-35566333

“Australia has enacted laws that enable dual national suspected terrorists to be stripped of their Australian citizenship.

The government estimates that up to half the Australian militants who have gone to the Middle East to fight are dual citizens.

The Senate passed laws late Thursday that would strip citizenship from suspects aged 14 years or older for a range of terrorism-related offenses even if there was no conviction.

Attorney-General George Brandis said the new laws would apply in “very limited circumstances.”

“This is a significant piece of legislation which will enhance Australia’s counterterrorism architecture,” he told the Senate.

Brandis would not guarantee that the laws would withstand any High Court challenge on constitutional grounds.

But he said “the legislation is as strong as we can make it from a constitutional point of view.”

The laws do not allow a suspect to be rendered stateless.”
