1. Obama in Paris Says He Would Urge Young Jihadis to Choose a ‘Good Life’

“Every religion, whether it’s Christianity, Islam, Judaism, defines a good person and a good life based on what they do for others,” he added.

(I would challenge Obama to find me any consistent passages in canonical islamic scripture which defines islam in those terms)

2. Predictably the real number of ‘Syrian’ ‘refugees’ will more likely be something like 50,000. (I believe it will be between 100K and a 1/2 million if the European example is to be used as a template)

3. Islamic State Group Targets Gays With Brutal Public Killings

Before a crowd of men on a street in the Syrian city of Palmyra, the masked Islamic State group judge read out the sentence against the two men convicted of homosexuality: They would be thrown to their deaths from the roof of the nearby Wael Hotel.

He asked one of the men if he was satisfied with the sentence. Death, the judge told him, would help cleanse him of his sin.

“I’d prefer it if you shoot me in the head,” 32-year-old Hawas Mallah replied helplessly. The second man, 21-year-old Mohammed Salameh, pleaded for a chance to repent, promising never to have sex with a man again, according to a witness among the onlookers that sunny July morning who gave The Associated Press a rare first-hand account.

“Take them and throw them off,” the judge ordered. Other masked extremists tied the men’s hands behind their backs and blindfolded them. They led them to the roof of the four-story hotel, according to the witness, who spoke in the Turkish city of Reyhanli on condition he be identified only by his first name, Omar, for fear of reprisals.

Notorious for their gruesome methods of killing, the Islamic State group reserves one of its most brutal for suspected homosexuals. Videos it has released show masked militants dangling men over the precipices of buildings by their legs to drop them head-first or tossing them over the edge. At least 36 men in Syria and Iraq have been killed by IS militants on charges of sodomy, according to the New York-based OutRight Action International, though its Middle East and North Africa coordinator, Hossein Alizadeh, said it was not possible to confirm the sexual orientation of the victims.

(If they are all extremist in the Islamic State, then I think English needs a new word)

4. University Islamic Society students ‘make death threats’ as they disrupt controversial blasphemy lecture by human rights activist who they said ‘violated their safe space’

Radical Muslim students made death threats while interrupting a lecture on blasphemy by a prominent human rights activist, it was claimed today.

Maryam Nazamie, who fled Iran’s repressive regime and now campaigns against Islamic extremism, was speaking at the Atheist, Secularist and Humanist Society of Goldsmiths in London.

However, the event on Monday night was disrupted by students from the university’s Islamic Society – which claimed that it would ‘violate their safe space’ because of Ms Nazamie’s outspoken views.

(Political correctness and its BS like ‘safe spaces’ are a gift to muslims looking to limit what may be said in the public space the way Barbara Lerner Spectre was a gift to David Duke)

One student switched off the projector after the speaker showed a cartoon of Muhammad, while a member of the audience said that an activist threatened to kill him during the talk.

The Islamic Society spoke out in advance of the talk – titled ‘Apostasy, blasphemy and free expression in the age of ISIS’ – insisting Ms Nazamie should not be allowed to speak because of her ‘bigoted views’.

Four men were arrested in Luton today on suspicion of terrorism offences in a raid orchestrated by national anti-terror police.

Scotland Yard announced that the men, who are in their 30s, were being questioned in London over claims they were ‘involved in the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism’.

Officers searched seven houses in the Bedfordshire town as well as a number of cars in the area following dawn raids at 6am.

Raids: Police standing outside a house in Luton in the aftermath of a counter-terror operation today

Police have raided two houses in Sydney, Australia, following suspected threats against a police station.

One house is the family home of Talal Alameddine who was detained in October over the terror-linked killing of a police worker outside a police station.

Mr Alameddine is accused of supplying the gun which Farhad Jabar, 15, used to murder police accountant Curtis Cheng.

Police said the searches were conducted under firearms legislation, but that no “items of interest” were found.

Thank you M., Wrath of Khan, Maria J., and many others who took the effort to send in materials. There will be more today. There always is.

Also, as its December 2nd, getting a Cross of St. James to people in time for Christmas is still not likely an issue anywhere but the time grows short if you wanted one as a gift to someone for Christmas. So please consider ordering one soon for those who want one as a gift. The widget remains in the top right of the site. Thank you also to those who already got one and for the great emails I received from them. Its rewarding to know the design effort and manufacture gave the effect I hoped it would.

A “good person and a good life based on what they do for others,” is Communism.

For no person is good; and to pursue goodness based on what is done for others is narcissistic.

Jesus said “There is none good but G-d.” Not that I believe in … Whatever. But what you said is … somewhat profound. Why aren’t we good? We have tasted good. Why are we so … messed up? Some military types just shot 14 people in San Bernadino, CA. Every other week in this country it seems there is a mass shooting. Islamists, “right-wing extremists,” racists, crazies … its insane. Why can’t we just be … “good”? Or “peaceful.” Or sane?

    • Olive, I wish you a belated Thanksgiving!

Before my dog runs away I may think I made it good by altering its behavior. Islam and Socialism don’t allow you to run away.

To leave the kids alone and treat them with respect with reason. To permit them to speak of the unspeakble of others.

To be good is to be right and loving. Understood by normal, rational people. To be only loving or right is not good. Pridefully and blindly accepted by the fear-based irrationalists.

Good only comes from the actions of reasonable people, which used to be enshrined in the British Laws copied throughout the Civilized World.

It is not found in Sharia or in European Human Rights Legislation.

  3. On #4:
The Safe Space movement’s ultimate goal is to silence all speech that offends Muslims.
As Mr. Coughlin has reminded us, UN Resolution 1618 is in fact “operative.”
But the seeds of its flowering must take place slowly — and be linked with other “minority struggles” — in order for it to take root, grow, and like KUDZU, choke out sanity and common-sense plain- speaking in the public sphere.
