  1. Iran says finds unexpectedly high uranium reserve

The Head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi walks through a garden at the Beau Rivage Palace Hotel during an extended round of talks in Lausanne, April 2, 2015. REUTERS/Brendan Smialowski/Pool

DUBAI (Reuters) – Iran has discovered an unexpectedly high reserve of uranium and will soon begin extracting the radioactive element at a new mine, the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organisation said on Saturday.

The comments cast doubt on previous assessments from some Western analysts who said the country had a low supply and would sooner or later would need to import uranium, the raw material needed for its nuclear program.

Any indication Iran could become more self-sufficient will be closely watched by world powers, which reached a landmark deal with Tehran in July over its program. They had feared the nuclear activities were aimed at acquiring the capability to produce atomic weapons – something denied by Tehran.

“I cannot announce (the level of) Iran’s uranium mine reserves. The important thing is that before aerial prospecting for uranium ores we were not too optimistic, but the new discoveries have made us confident about our reserves,” Iranian nuclear chief Ali Akbar Salehi was quoted as saying by state news agency IRNA.

  2. Muslim mosque ‘sentinels’ make Israel anxious

    http://news.yahoo.com/muslim-mosque-sentinels-israel-anxious-100922891.html

Jerusalem (AFP) – Umm Hassan, 60, goes most days to Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa mosque compound to protect it against “sacrilege” by Jewish visitors but soon she and other protesters will themselves be barred.

The black-robed woman in a headscarf is one of the Murabitat, or sentinels, who say they come on their own initiative to the Islamic holy place in Jerusalem’s walled Old City.

The Murabitat and a men’s group called Murabitun closely monitor Jews who are allowed, under police guard, to visit on five days of the week and shower them with loud abuse and religious oaths.

For Israel the two groups are among the main causes of tension at the flashpoint site, sacred to Islam and Judaism.

German chancellor Angela Merkel’s decision to welcome hundreds of thousands of refugees into the country has come under fierce attack from rightwing critics in her own ruling coalition, in a sign of growing conservative resistance to her liberal approach.

Ms Merkel has said Germany will suspend the rules governing asylum applications in the EU for Syrians fleeing four years of civil war and insists that Germany bear the costs of accepting the influx of refugees.

But in an unusually direct assault on the government, leading members of the Bavaria-based Christian Social Union, sister party to Ms Merkel’s Christian Democrats, criticised the chancellor’s decision to relax the rules for Syrian asylum-seekers looking to settle in Germany and urged other EU states to accept more refugees.

  4. 3 Florida immigration detainees on hunger strike ordered fed

    http://bigstory.ap.org/article/8aa3e3ea539845d995d22569bdd712f3/3-florida-immigration-detainees-hunger-strike-ordered-fed

MIAMI (AP) — A federal judge ordered immigration authorities Friday to force-feed three Pakistani men who are waging a hunger strike to protest the handling of their immigration cases.

The order affects three detainees at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility near Miami. The American Civil Liberties Union of Florida has asked the Department of Homeland Security to investigate the men’s cases and treatment.

ICE released a statement Friday evening saying the agency is closely monitoring one detainee who was still on a hunger strike, but the statement didn’t mention force-feeding.

Court documents show the men vowed to continue their hunger strike unless released on parole to continue their quest for U.S. asylum. U.S. District Judge Robert Scola ruled it would be inhumane to allow their health to deteriorate further to the point of near-death.

The ACLU says the hunger strikes have lasted up to 28 days

I’m sure you’ve heard this one, but here goes anyway. A guy walks into the Norwegian Nobel Committee. If he has made a contribution to world peace at all, it is apologizing on foreign soil for the arrogance of the country that elected him president. The committee is nevertheless impressed with his achievements — so much so that before he leaves, they hand him one of their coveted prizes.

If you found it galling in 2009 that Barack Obama was so honored, then you will get a huge kick out of a report at USA Today announcing that he has been named as recipient of a second Nobel Peace Prize.

It’s the ultimate participation trophy. Except in this case, the majority of the recipients won’t have participated, and many won’t even have shown up.

The state of California is poised to award thousands of high school degrees to dropouts by passing a new law retroactively removing the requirement to pass a high school exit exam.

    • This is destroying any respect people have for public schools and the education they give. We are rapidly approahing a time when people won’t qualify for the title functional illiterate.

  7. America is being bullied into sympathizing with 9/11 attackers

    http://nypost.com/2015/09/11/america-is-being-bullied-into-sympathizing-with-911-attackers/

We gather together on this solemn anniversary in a spirit of mourning and peace.

But this is also a time of unspeakable shame.

As we remember the nearly 3,000 souls who were butchered on American soil 14 years ago by Islamic terrorists bearing not a speck of decency or humanity, we must also remember what we have lost. And it is great.

In the days and weeks following Sept. 11, 2001, we were a nation united in agony. We bore a common resolve to defeat the forces of evil that hit us, and hit us hard. “Never again!’’ we cried in unison. I remember walking down a New York City street, debris still swirling in the air from the destroyed World Trade Center, and seeing women and even men hugging heroic cops, firefighters and other first responders.

    • DENMARK 30,000 rally in Copenhagen in support of migrants: police

COPENHAGEN: Some 30,000 people joined a rally in Copenhagen Saturday in favor of taking in thousands of refugees seeking shelter in Europe, police said.

“Everything is taking place in a calm and orderly way,” said a post on the official Twitter feed of Copenhagen police, indicating that roughly 30,000 people had gathered for the demonstration.

Demonstrators held up signs reading “Refugees Welcome” and “Europe is the closest neighborhood to Syria,” local media reported.

Another smaller rally took place in Padborg, a village on the German border through which many refugees have passed, where some 400 people gathered to show their support.

At the same time, a counter-demonstration in the same village drew around 150 people who called for the borders to be closed, local police said.

After briefly suspending rail links between Denmark and Germany to prevent refugees from entering, Danish police on Thursday allowed services to resume, saying they would allow people to travel without registering if they were not planning on lodging an asylum claim.

Many newcomers are hoping to reach Sweden which is seen as more welcoming and has a more generous asylum policy. For the past two years, Sweden has automatically granted a permit to stay to Syrians filing an asylum claim.

Meanwhile in Stockholm, around a thousand people gathered to express support for a more generous policy of welcoming refugees.

“Sweden can do much more, not only because it has the capacity to do so but also because it, along with the European Union, bears some responsibility for the conflict in Syria,” said a 38-year-old demonstrator called Joakim, who came long with his two children.

    • Germany: Merkel stands by her decision to let in unregistered refugees

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that she believes she made the right decision in letting thousands of refugees enter the country, during a Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party conference in Berlin on Saturday. During the #CDUdigital event, she said stood by her decision, despite the fact that some members of the CDU have voiced their concerns about dropping the Dublin Regulation.

  8. Glasgow.
What pisses me off about these demonstrators who advocate refugees coming in is that they are full of the meek and weak liberal left .
One day they will be relying on men like me to protect them. Also men like my brother who is ex-army . He is shocked by how quick events are turning and scared and concerned that he now has visions of himself in ten years time having to put bullets into those who would threaten our way of life. Threaten his and my daughter by their monstrous archaic laws.
These sympathetic idiots will run to men like him and me and whilst we protect them we will suffer the burden of our actions whilst they wimper behind us.

    • Weren’t you watching the Canaries?
Scotland has been one of the most Jew-hating places in Europe. So few Jews, so much hate.

    • Should of paid attention to the Canaries.
Scotland has become one of the most outspoken Jew-hating places in Europe. What, now you’re down to 1000? Fewer? So few, still so much hate.

      • I live near the most predominate jewish area in Scotland and have had a few jewish customers who I get on with very well. They are worried but arent surprised by the way things are going. I think there is about 4,000.
And yes there is an anti-semitism disguised by an anti zionist pro-palestinian socialist Catholic brigade in my opinion. Anyone who is ‘the other’ or ‘persecuted’ they favour. Anyone but their own.All their exhortations that it is the zionists and imperialists to blame for the worlds ills wont save them from their multicultural friends.
        They are idiots.

        • Sorry, surely my mistake. The Jewish Agency figures aren’t necessarily accurate.

I often wonder how they count “Jews”. According to affiliation with a place of worship? Is it on a birth- certificate? Marriage records?

Probably most are secular and assimilated, and therefore not included in such a census. They’re unlikely to require the advocacy or rescue services of the Agency.

Besides, their children – certainly their grandchildren – will no longer be Jews at all.

        • People like us are always the ones that pay the price for the mistakes of the politicians, but I don’t think it will take 10 years before your brother is fighting the Moslems in Britain, it will come a lot sooner. And yes the soft people in the world will be cowering behind the hard men who fight the wars. Reality is patting our faces telling us to wake up, soon it will start slapping real hard and once again GI Joe and Tommy Adkins will be called up to step up front.

I think you will recognize the people in the poem

          Rudyard Kipling
          Tommy

          I went into a public-‘ouse to get a pint o’ beer,
The publican ‘e up an’ sez, “We serve no red-coats here.”
The girls be’ind the bar they laughed an’ giggled fit to die,
I outs into the street again an’ to myself sez I:
          O it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Tommy, go away”;
But it’s “Thank you, Mister Atkins”, when the band begins to play,
The band begins to play, my boys, the band begins to play,
O it’s “Thank you, Mister Atkins”, when the band begins to play.

I went into a theatre as sober as could be,
          They gave a drunk civilian room, but ‘adn’t none for me;
They sent me to the gallery or round the music-‘alls,
But when it comes to fightin’, Lord! they’ll shove me in the stalls!
          For it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Tommy, wait outside”;
But it’s “Special train for Atkins” when the trooper’s on the tide,
The troopship’s on the tide, my boys, the troopship’s on the tide,
O it’s “Special train for Atkins” when the trooper’s on the tide.

Yes, makin’ mock o’ uniforms that guard you while you sleep
          Is cheaper than them uniforms, an’ they’re starvation cheap;
An’ hustlin’ drunken soldiers when they’re goin’ large a bit
Is five times better business than paradin’ in full kit.
Then it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Tommy, ‘ow’s yer soul?”
But it’s “Thin red line of ‘eroes” when the drums begin to roll,
The drums begin to roll, my boys, the drums begin to roll,
O it’s “Thin red line of ‘eroes” when the drums begin to roll.

We aren’t no thin red ‘eroes, nor we aren’t no blackguards too,
          But single men in barricks, most remarkable like you;
An’ if sometimes our conduck isn’t all your fancy paints,
          Why, single men in barricks don’t grow into plaster saints;
While it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Tommy, fall be’ind”,
But it’s “Please to walk in front, sir”, when there’s trouble in the wind,
There’s trouble in the wind, my boys, there’s trouble in the wind,
O it’s “Please to walk in front, sir”, when there’s trouble in the wind.

You talk o’ better food for us, an’ schools, an’ fires, an’ all:
We’ll wait for extry rations if you treat us rational.
Don’t mess about the cook-room slops, but prove it to our face
The Widow’s Uniform is not the soldier-man’s disgrace.
For it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Chuck him out, the brute!”
          But it’s “Saviour of ‘is country” when the guns begin to shoot;
          An’ it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ anything you please;
An’ Tommy ain’t a bloomin’ fool — you bet that Tommy sees!

          • Yes, the Tommy poem is it exactly.

I didn’t want to say it, but I’m also convinced Oohh’s brother will be protecting ethnic Brits sooner than any expect.

            • Yes and no, I expected the open fighting to break out several years ago, I tend to think events will happen faster then they do. Of course as things go on the events will speed up.

  9. Karl Marx Admirer Jeremy Corbyn Voted as Britain’s Labour Party Leader (nbcnews, Sep 12, 2015)
    http://www.nbcnews.com/news/europe/karl-marx-admirer-jeremy-corbyn-voted-britains-labour-party-leader-n426316

“LONDON — Uncorking the spirit of British socialism was the masterstroke that handed Jeremy Corbyn the Labour Party’s top job but he now faces a much bigger challenge — convincing voters that an admirer of Karl Marx should be Britain’s next prime minister.

Virtually unknown just months ago, the 66-year-old won the crown of Britain’s second largest political party with 59.5 percent of the votes cast in an internal party vote.

A vegetarian who initially did not expect to win the contest, Corbyn has struck a chord with many Labour supporters by repudiating the pro-business consensus of former Labour leader Tony Blair and offered wealth taxes, nuclear disarmament and ambiguity about EU membership.

The victory gives Corbyn a mandate to take the 115-year old party back to its socialist roots and throw out the political rulebook that says British elections can only be won with the support of the center ground….”

    • ‘I won’t bomb ISIS’: New Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn tells thousands at refugee rally he wants peace with jihadis – after popping into the pub to sing socialist anthem The Red Flag (dailymail, Sep 12, 2015)
      http://dailym.ai/1KeJG1T

“Jeremy Corbyn this afternoon vowed to lead the opposition to any attempt to bomb ISIS in Syria as he called for a ‘peaceful solution’ to the threat from jihadi fanatics.

Hours after being named the new Labour leader, the leftwinger told tens of thousands of people in Parliament Square that he would not join the clamour to ‘go here, invade there, bomb there, do this, do that’. The Tories immediately claimed Corbyn-led Labour was now a ‘serious risk to national security’.

In the most extraordinary result in modern political history, the 66-year-old Marxist throwback who has never run anything in his life will now take charge of the party of Keir Hardie, Clement Atlee and Tony Blair.

There were cheers at the QEII Conference Centre in central London as it was confirmed that the unassuming Islington MP had defied all expectations – including his own – to become leader of Her Majesty’s Official Opposition.

Supporters wept and punched the air, chanting ‘Jez we did, Jez we did’, after it emerged Mr Corbyn had taken 59.5 per cent of the vote – 251,417 of the 422,664 votes cast – against 19 per cent for Andy Burnham, 17 per cent for Yvette Cooper and just 4.5 per cent for Liz Kendall.

After thanking the unions, attacking the media, and accusing the Conservatives of ‘social cleansing’, Mr Corbyn took his supporters to the Sanctuary pub in Westminster for a victory drink where they hailed former socialist firebrand Tony Benn and sang the socialist Red Flag anthem.

But winning could be the easy part: While he was still addressing the leadership conference, the first resignations from the frontbench emerged as his critics warned he would be a ‘f***ing disaster’….”

    • Rudyard Kipling
      Hymn Before Action
      1896

The earth is full of anger,
The seas are dark with wrath,
      The Nations in their harness
      Go up against our path:
Ere yet we loose the legions —
Ere yet we draw the blade,
      Jehovah of the Thunders,
      Lord God of Battles, aid!

      High lust and froward bearing,
      Proud heart, rebellious brow —
      Deaf ear and soul uncaring,
      We seek Thy mercy now!
      The sinner that forswore Thee,
The fool that passed Thee by,
Our times are known before Thee —
Lord, grant us strength to die!

For those who kneel beside us
      At altars not Thine own,
Who lack the lights that guide us,
      Lord, let their faith atone!
If wrong we did to call them,
      By honour bound they came;
Let not Thy Wrath befall them,
But deal to us the blame.

      From panic, pride, and terror
Revenge that knows no rein —
      Light haste and lawless error,
      Protect us yet again,
      Cloke Thou our undeserving,
      Make firm the shuddering breath,
      In silence and unswerving
      To taste Thy lesser death.

      Ah, Mary pierced with sorrow,
      Remember, reach and save
      The soul that comes to-morrow
      Before the God that gave!
Since each was born of woman,
For each at utter need —
True comrade and true foeman —
      Madonna, intercede!

      E’en now their vanguard gathers,
E’en now we face the fray —
As Thou didst help our fathers,
      Help Thou our host to-day.
      Fulfilled of signs and wonders,
In life, in death made clear —
      Jehovah of the Thunders,
      Lord God of Battles, hear!

        • Cheers. My brother has heard me bang on about Islam for ten years and was sympathetic. I think now though he was shocked at how quick things are moving. He was thinking in decades not a decade. I pretty much agee with Yuck. Something is going to give long before that.

          • Most of the people know say next year but I am not so sure something won’t happen this year. As I just told Yucki once things start they will escalate very quickly, I have a couple of advantages over you and Yucki, I live in a state with rational gun laws and a massive number of vets here so things aren’t going to be as bad as expected. Also I live in a small town with a very small percentage of the trouble making groups. On the negative side I will be 69 in three years and have a bad back, heart and lungs so I can’t do much maneuvering if things do go south.

    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/yemens-rebels-intensify-attacks-southern-city-taiz-33710506

“Security officials in the southern Yemeni city of Taiz say Shiite rebels have intensified attacks against pro-government forces.

They say fighting has killed 14 and wounded 27, with the toll including both fighters and civilians.

The officials, who remain neutral in a conflict that has splintered security forces, said Saturday that the rebels known as Houthis aim to seize the strategic Jarrah mountain overlooking many neighborhoods in Taiz, the country’s third-largest city.

The rebels controlled the city’s presidential palace and a judicial compound before pro-government forces, backed by a Saudi-led coalition’s airstrikes, gained control of much of Yemen’s south in recent weeks.

All officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to brief reporters.

The U.N. says the conflict in Yemen has killed more than 2,100 civilians.”

Intel official: Russia ‘co-leading’ Syrian war
    Never autoplay videos

As the Pentagon warily eyes a Russian military build-up in Syria, Western intelligence sources tell Fox News that the escalated Russian presence began just days after a secret Moscow meeting in late July between Iran’s Quds Force commander — their chief exporter of terror — and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Fox News has learned Quds head Qassem Soleimani and Putin discussed such a joint military plan for Syria at that meeting, an encounter first reported by Fox News in early August.

“The Russians are no longer advising, but co-leading the war in Syria,” one intelligence official said.

The Quds Force is the international arm of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, involved in exporting terrorism to Iran’s proxies throughout the Middle East including Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen.

Intelligence sources told Fox News that — in addition to the previously reported arrival of nearly 50 Russian marines, 100 housing units and armored vehicles delivered by a stream of massive Antonov-124 Condor military transport aircraft and two Russian landing ships in Syria — the Russians have delivered aviation, intelligence and communications facilities to deploy a powerful offensive force.

    • This is going to kick off a real big mess, Russia has waited until Obama has destroyed the US military knowing that when we get a President who will rebuild the military it will take time and money. This gives them a minimum of 24 months freedom in doing anything in the Middle East. The only forces we have to do anything with are the Special Forces and the reports I am seeing are saying that Obama has his eyes on them and is going to order massive changes in how they train and recruit.

  13. And now the propaganda, half-truths, distractions, self-praise and lies…

Saudi Arabia claims it has welcomed 100,000 Syrians (tribune, Sep 12, 2015)
    http://tribune.com.pk/story/955611/saudi-says-has-welcomed-100000-syrians/

“RIYADH: Saudi Arabia on Friday responded to “false and misleading” reports about its response to the Syrian refugee crisis, saying it has given residency to 100,000 people from the war-ravaged state.

The kingdom’s statement followed a similar defence issued Wednesday by the United Arab Emirates, after questions started to be asked about how wealthy Arab states have reacted to the outflow of more than four million Syrians.

Germany alone is expected to receive 800,000 asylum-seekers from Syria and elsewhere this year. Many more Syrians are sheltering in Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey.

An official from Saudi Arabia’s ministry of foreign affairs, cited by the official Saudi Press Agency, said the kingdom did not want “to show off or brag in the media” about its response to Syria, where civil war began four years ago.

“However, it sees the importance of clarifying these efforts in response to false and misleading media reports about the kingdom,” the unnamed official said.

Saudi Arabia “made it a point not to deal with them as refugees” but has issued residency permits to 100,000 Syrians who wished to stay in the kingdom, the official said.

“With that came the right to free education, healthcare and employment according to a royal decree in 2012 that also states that Syrian students visiting the kingdom be admitted in public schools,” the official added.

The kingdom has supported millions of Syrian refugees in Jordan, Lebanon and other countries in coordination with the host countries, while providing a total of about $700 million in humanitarian aid, he said.

No Gulf country has signed the UN Convention on Refugees which sets standards for the treatment and rights of those fleeing to a new country.

Gulf states have been among the most ardent opponents of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, providing funds and weapons for rebel groups fighting him.

At the same time, Saudi Arabia and its neighbours last year joined a US-led military coalition bombing extremist Islamic State group rebels in Syria.”

“Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security Sartaj Aziz on Saturday said India is interfering and promoting terrorism in Pakistan, Radio Pakistan reported.

While talking to the media at a university event in Karachi, Aziz said Pakistan had enough evidence pertaining to India meddling in its affairs. He added that the evidence would be presented before the United Nations.

The remarks come against the backdrop of rising tensions, and the cancellation of NSA-level talks with India.

Earlier, Aziz had said India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) was stoking terrorism in Pakistan.

“I will also be carrying three dossiers on RAW’s [Research and Analysis Wing] involvement in promoting terrorism in Pakistan,” he had said while showing the documents to reporters.

Ceasefire violations on the LoC Working Boundary have increased during the current Indian government, he said. The adviser argued economic and political stability were prerequisites to a balanced foreign policy.

Several steps have been taken during the last two years to keep Pakistan’s foreign policy balanced, added the NSA adviser. To a question about relations with Afghanistan, he said Pakistan was trying to restore Afghan reconciliation process between the Afghan Taliban and the government in Kabul.

Meanwhile about the continuing military offensive in North Waziristan, he said terrorist infrastructure was destroyed under Operation Zarb-e-Azb.

“Ninety percent objectives of the operation have been achieved,” he said.”

BRATISLAVA: Thousands of people joined anti-migrant protests in three eastern European capitals on Saturday after leaders from the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia opposed an EU scheme to fix refugee quotas.

In the Polish capital Warsaw, nearly 5,000 people, many chanting anti-Islamic slogans, marched through the city, an AFP correspondent said. “Islam will be the death of Europe”, one of the banners said.

Organisers claimed the demonstration drew 10,000 people but police refused to confirm the figure.

“We’re here so that the government hears our voice and abandons any plans to welcome Muslims,” shouted one of the organisers after starting the march with prayers which identified the participants as Roman Catholics.

Members of far-right fringe parties and football supporters chanted “Poles against migrants” and “Migrants today, terrorists tomorrow”.

  16. Eastern Bloc’s Resistance to Refugees Highlights Europe’s Cultural and Political Divisions

WARSAW — Even though the former Communist countries of Central and Eastern Europe have been asked to accept just a fraction of the refugees that Germany and other nations are taking, their fierce resistance now stands as the main impediment to a unified European response to the crisis.

Poland’s new president, Andrzej Duda, has complained about “dictates” from the European Union to accept migrants flowing onto the Continent from the Middle East and Africa.

Slovakia’s prime minister, Robert Fico, says his country will accept only Christian refugees as it would be “false solidarity” to force Muslims to settle in a country without a single mosque. Viktor Orban, Hungary’s hard-line prime minister, calls the influx a “rebellion by illegal migrants” and pledges a new crackdown this week.

    • It is more likely that the Eastern European reaction is due to more experience with the Moslems.

Hungary’s hard-line prime minister highlighted stark divisions in Europe over a growing migrant crisis, telling a German newspaper in an interview published Saturday that refugees entering the continent should go back “where they came from.”

Meanwhile, tens of thousands rallied Saturday on the streets of London, Madrid, Athens, Budapest, Lisbon, Warsaw, Geneva and Sweden as part of a solidarity movement supporting the refugees. Some 14,000 demonstrators assembled in Hamburg and another 30,000 gathered in Denmark, according to European media.

Germany welcomed 10,000 migrants into the country Saturday, according to the Associated Press.

  18. Doctors warn of disease risk at Hungary refugee camp

Röszke (Hungary) (AFP) – Medical workers at the Hungarian border warned Saturday of desperate conditions for pregnant women and the risk of disease spreading at the under-equipped camp where thousands of refugees are streaming in daily.

A huge outpouring of sympathy from across Europe has brought dozens of vehicles loaded with aid supplies from Britain, Austria, Germany and elsewhere to the filthy camp in the border town of Roszke.

But while blankets, clothes and food pile up around the muddy fields, doctors say they are worried about the lack of sanitation and medical supplies.

“When you have no running water, no way to clean and people are arriving with contagious diseases, you have a problem,” said Teresa Sancristobal, head of the Doctors Without Borders site team.

  19. Germany: Scuffles break out at pro-Kurdish rally in Frankfurt

Kurdish movements in Frankfurt organised a demonstration, Saturday under the name “STOP THE WAR, FREEDOM RIGHT NOW” in solidarity with the Kurds who were killed in eastern Turkey on Wednesday

    • BREITBART – Migrant Kurds And Turks Battle On The Streets Of Switzerland

Kurds and Turks went to war on the street of Europe once again today. A group of Kurdish independence supporters leaving a rally in the Swiss town of Bern were rammed by a car allegedly driven by a supporter of Turkish nationalism. 2 are thought to have died, with 20 injured.

The initial rally was organised by the “Union of Turkish Democrats in Europe” against Kurdish “terrorism,” NZZ reports. Around 100 Turkish nationalists gather and were met by a counter demonstration of around 180 supporters of Kurdish independence and the prescribed group the PKK.

Local News provider Watson reports that the town center was sealed off and several bridges closed. Riot police used rubber bullets and peppers spray to separate the rival groups, who were angered by the ongoing conflict between their two ethnic groups in the Middle East.
