  1. Ferguson Bombers Sentenced

A foiled plot to use bombs to assassinate the police chief, county prosecutor, and other officials in troubled Ferguson, Mo., and also blow up the iconic Gateway Arch in nearby St. Louis, has ended in federal prison terms for two New Black Panther Party members.

In a sweetheart plea bargain deal, Olajuwon Davis and Brandon Orlando Baldwin, both radical black Muslim men in their twenties, received mere seven-year custodial sentences last week from U.S. District Judge Henry Autrey when they could have been sent to prison for decades. The men were sentenced “on charges of planning and conspiring to ignite explosive devices during the Ferguson protests and procuring firearms for convicted felons,” according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri.

  2. Palestinians on Verge of Renouncing Oslo Accords
Palestinian breach of legally binding accord puts to rest an agreement that was DOA.

eports are emerging that the Palestinian Authority’s unelected “president” Mahmoud Abbas will soon announce the nullification of all past agreements with Israel, including the infamous 1993 Oslo Accords. Abbas will then declare “Palestine” to be a state under “occupation.”

The architect of this new approach is none other than Saeb Erekat, a senior figure in Abbas’s inner circle and one of the PA’s primary rejectionist figures. It was Erekat who was the driving force behind Abbas’s September 2014 decision to seek admission into various UN and international bodies including the International Criminal Court.

Looks like there is going to be a new round of law fair.

  3. The Past and Future of the Refugee Crisis
    The discord that lies ahead.

The refugee crisis in Europe is one of those human tragedies for which there are no real solutions, despite how many shrill voices in the media may denounce those who fail to come up with a solution.

Some options may be better than others, but there is nothing that can honestly be called a solution. Nevertheless many countries, including the United States, could do a lot better.

The immediate problems are the masses of desperate men, women and children, fleeing from the wars and terrorism of the Middle East, who are flooding into Europe. But the present crisis cannot be dealt with as if it had no past and no future.

Richard Normally I agree with Sowell but here he is talking like the refugees weren’t (mostly) either economic refugees wanting to get the more generous welfare of the European nations or fifth columnists. Or both.

  4. Europe’s Migration Crisis
“Not Giving Us Like in Germany”

One migrant was asked why he doesn’t want to stay in Hungary. He replied: “[Hungary is] not giving us like in Germany… a house, money…”

“It’s not 150,000 migrants coming that some want to divide according to quotas, it’s not 500,000, a figure that I heard in Brussels, it’s millions, then tens of millions, because the supply of immigrants is endless.” — Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary.

Only 20 of the 12,000 people who crossed the border during the weekend of September 5-6 applied for asylum in Austria. The rest have already moved on to the more generous Germany.

In Germany, the number of asylum seekers entering the country in a single month surpassed the 100,000 mark for the first time ever. Germany expects to receive a total of 800,000 refugees and migrants this year, a four-fold increase over 2014.

Germany and Sweden are the final destinations of choice for most migrants, lured by the generous benefits they can claim, and the governments’ message that refugees are welcome in unlimited numbers. The open-door immigration policies could draw millions of Muslims into Europe from the Middle East and North Africa.

Hundreds of Muslim refugees are converting to Christianity, apparently in an effort to improve their chances of having their asylum applications approved. Under Islam, Muslims who convert to Christianity are guilty of apostasy, a crime punishable by death. The “converts” apparently believe that German officials will allow them to stay if they can be persuaded that they will be killed if they are sent back to their countries of origin.

In Bulgaria, a search of five Albanian men trying to cross the border revealed that they were carrying Islamic State propaganda, including videos of decapitations.

  5. Laundering Iran’s Nukes

    http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/6472/iran-laundering-nuclear-deal

What remains unknown is why President Obama and most of his party want a nuclear Iran.

The goals of the diplomatic process have changed tremendously from the beginning, when President Obama regularly claimed that an Iranian nuclear weapon is “unacceptable,” and that only his unique brand of personal diplomacy could prevent it. Rather than “prevent” or “block” Iran from acquiring a nuclear bomb, as the president and Secretary of State Kerry falsely claim, the deal assures Iran of legally acquiring one.

By weaponizing its nuclear program, Iran has violated every agreement it has signed. Iran’s illegal nuclear weapons program is being cleansed and validated at the behest of the Obama administration. These terms make the JCPOA deal unknowable. Signing it is not an act of diplomacy; it is surrender.

There is only one flaw in the JCPOA laundering scheme. In a true money-laundering scheme that involves an outlaw and a legitimate party, the money launderer receives a fee for the service provided; in this trade, the U.S. gets nothing from the JCPOA. The U.S. does not even get back one of the Americans held hostage by Iran.

Anti-virus software tycoon John McAfee plans to run for President, the developer confirmed on Tuesday. He will run under his own newly created “Cyber Party.”

McAfee, who teased the official announcement on his Twitter, said he decided to run after encouragement from “almost everyone” he knew, CNNMoney reports. The self-described “eccentric millionaire,” known for a strange run-in with authorities in Belize three years ago, said his primary motivation to enter the race was the government’s problems with security and surveillance

  7. Iran Could Outsource Its Nuclear Program to North Korea

    http://dailysignal.com/2015/09/05/iran-could-outsource-its-nuclear-program-to-north-korea/?utm_source=heritagefoundation&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=dailydigest&mkt_tok=3RkMMJWWfF9wsRohvajIZKXonjHpfsX56ugrW6G0lMI%2F0ER3fOvrPUfGjI4ATcJlPa%2BTFAwTG5toziV8R7jHKM1t0sEQWBHm

Of the myriad of mind-blowing flaws contained in the Iran nuclear deal—a subject that has dominated the foreign policy debate across the country this summer—there’s one angle that hasn’t gotten enough attention.

It’s the possibility that Iran could outsource its nuclear program.

In other words, Tehran could play along with the P5+1 (China, France, Germany, Russia, the U.K., and the United States) as set forth in the July Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action signed in Vienna.

But at the same time, Iran could collaborate with another state to advance its nuclear weapons program—outside the prying eyes of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s inspectors operating inside the Islamic Republic.

What better candidate for cooperation than Pyongyang?

    Richard

Iran and North Korea have been working together for a long time, there were reliable reports of Iranian observers at the last North Koran nuclear test, for that matter Iran could ship its nuclear device to North Korea to test. People make fun of the axis of evil speech trying to get people to forget that the three nations worked together to attack the west.

  8. The Chinese Economy Just Hit a Major Speed Bump. Why the Pentagon Cares.

    http://dailysignal.com/2015/09/06/the-chinese-economy-just-hit-major-speed-bump-why-the-pentagon-cares/?utm_source=heritagefoundation&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=dailydigest&mkt_tok=3RkMMJWWfF9wsRohvajIZKXonjHpfsX56ugrW6G0lMI%2F0ER3fOvrPUfGjI4ATcJlPa%2BTFAwTG5toziV8R7jHKM1t0sEQWBHm

The Pentagon cares as much about how money moves around the world as it does about the movement of arms. Small wonder the recent bobbling in Beijing’s economy has caught the armed services’ attention.

After owning bragging rights to one-third of global economic growth, the Chinese economy just hit a major speed bump. Growth slowed. The market nosedived. The People’s Bank of China (PBoC) devalued the renminbi by about 4 percent, the currency’s biggest drop in two decades.

Global economic disruption that might lead to armed conflict remains a fixture on the Pentagon watch list. Since the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis sparked a round of alarms, the Pentagon has kept one eye on its gun sights and the other on global markets.

Beijing’s recent financial woes have triggered warnings that the end may be nigh for the uber-bullish dragon economy. China watcher Gordon Cheng, for one, argues that the day of reckoning might be at hand. But others caution that we should not confuse a “hard landing” for the high-flying Chinese stock market as a harbinger of a collapse of the world’s second largest economy.

    • Washington, China, and the Rise of the Renminbi: Are the Dollar’s Days as the Global Reserve Currency Numbered?

      http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2015/08/washington-china-and-the-rise-of-the-renminbi-are-the-dollars-days-as-the-global-reserve-currency-numbered

      Abstract

The U.S. dollar has dominated the international monetary system since the end of World War II. While the U.S. economy has generated weak growth since 2009, and accumulated a large sovereign debt, the dollar’s status as an international medium of exchange and reserve currency has not diminished. The Chinese renminbi (RMB), however, barely visible in international trade or financial flows just three years ago, appears to be blossoming. China is now the world’s largest trading nation, and more corporations, particularly in Asia, are beginning to invoice their business in RMB. The Chinese regime is calling for a reform of the international monetary system to expand the internationalization of the RMB. Speculation has begun about whether the U.S. dollar could be supplanted by the RMB. Such a development would jeopardize the enormous economic advantages that the U.S. has enjoyed by possessing the world’s dominant currency. Moreover, it would signal a relative decline in American prestige and global leadership. The answer to the dollar’s potential decline is not to seek obstacles to China’s or any other nation’s economic success, but to change fiscal and monetary policies at home in order to maintain the dollar’s competitiveness.

      • What the authors are forgetting is that lack of resources, and domestic unrest have historically been causes of Authoritarian governments starting foreign adventures to gain control of resources and at the same time send the rambunctious youths off to war to use up their excess energy. Japans conquest of the South Pacific Islands was touched off by the need for the mineral resources on many of the Islands.. One source of money for China has been the trading of Chinese goods for Iranian oil, oil that is then resold on the international market. With the drop in oil prices China isn’t making as money as it was, this has hurt the Chinese who were already hurting because of the massive slow down in consumption since 2008. After a while all of the tricks China has used to make their economy look strong fail and the truth outs.

    http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/09/09/us-mideast-crisis-syria-exclusive-idUSKCN0R91H720150909

Russian forces have begun participating in military operations in Syria in support of government troops, three Lebanese sources familiar with the political and military situation there said on Wednesday.

The sources, speaking to Reuters on condition they not be identified, gave the most forthright account yet from the region of what the United States fears is a deepening Russian military role in Syria’s civil war, though one of the Lebanese sources said the number of Russians involved so far was small.
