1: Bangkok Bomb: Thai police name Adem Karadag as suspect arrested over blast that killed 20

Police in Bangkok have named Adem Karadag as the man who they arrested earlier today as a suspect connected to a bomb which killed 20 people on 17 August.

Thai authorities say that Karadag is a 28-year-old Turkish national.

The blast happened inside the Erawan Shrine in Bangkok’s Pathum Wan District and injured 125 people.

Thai police say that the arrest took place today after they raided an apartment which they believe was being used by the suspect in northern Bangkok. They say that they discovered suspected bomb-making materials inside the property.

Police chief Somyot Poompanmoung told reporters: “The bomb materials are the same, similar, or the same type” as those used in the bombings at the shrine.

(A wise person I know had said to me shortly after Obama was elected the first time, that the damage he would do would be more the effect on the culture by the fact of his existence based on who he is, than the actual policies he would set into motion. Personally I would say its too close to call)

The University of Tennessee has told its staff and students to stop calling each other ‘he’, ‘she’, ‘him’ and ‘her’ – and to start referring to one another with terms like ‘xe’, ‘zir’ and ‘xyr’ instead.

The Knoxville branch of the public university, which has 27,400 students, sent a memo round to its members filled with unusual new parts of speech to avoid referring to anybody’s gender.

According to a gay rights official at the university, the new language regime will make the university ‘welcoming and inclusive’ and stop people feeling ‘marginalized’.

(Once again showing that the left does not want anything like diversity but uses the word as a mantra to achieve total world-wide uniformity of culture, thought, politics and suppression of freedoms and ideas. Namely communism)

A few days ago, CB Sashenka received this photo from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. A few Hebrew speakers have looked at it and the best translation for it is:

“The Temple Mount is out of bounds to Jews”

I still can’t figure out what the Latin is for, but that is the meaning of the sign and I am well assured that the sign was placed there by muslims. Oddly there are no cries of racism or apartheid from the people famous for doing so. Recently however, the Israeli authorities have arrested a few people for yelling: “Mohamed was a pig!”, an unfair epithet if ever there was one as any pig farmer can attest to. And in the ‘Real Politic’ of the situation, one gets it. Sacrificing real rule of law to avoid riots. The same reason the US will not start impeachment proceedings against Obama no doubt. But it is difficult to see how either of those situations are the stuff of civilization. If you do not use force to allow what is allowed under democratic rule and to stop those who would use force to impose a totalitarian will, then why have law or democracy. You have surrendered to mob rule already. Perhaps this is another case of ‘if it bends it improves it, but if it breaks it doesn’t’ kind of thinking. But I think civilization and rule of law is bending quite far these days.

    • Mystery solved. The 3rd name on the sign “Nataitus” refers to Israeli PM Netanyahu.

“Nataitus” doesn’t make any sense unless you read the Hebrew translation first: “Netanyahus” (as in Israeli PM Netanyahu) but ending with “us” — as do many Latin names, such as Titus and Adriyanus (aka Hadrian), thereby placing Netanyahu in the same anti-Semitic Jew-killing category as Roman emperors Titus and Adriyanus.

Nataitus is a Latin version of Netanyahu. You wouldn’t know this unless you read the Hebrew first.

By including Netanyahu’s name with Roman Emperors Titus and Adriyanus, perhaps “they” are showing that Netanyahu was no different from them, in that Jews do not have the freedom to worship at the Temple Mount, just as they didn’t under Titus and Adriyanus: Jewish prayer is not allowed on the Temple Mount (Islamic prayer is), and Jews are allowed to visit the Temple Mount only at specific, limited times, with tourists. Muslims are allowed on the Temple Mount at all times, except for Friday prayer (men under 45 are prohibited).

  1. I don’t know if his policies will do more damage then his existence will, this is something for the historians who follow to debate, I do know that he has succeeded in his goal of fundamentally changing the US. Whether those changes are going to be to forces us into a communist/Islamic dictatorship or return us to freedom is still in doubt. Personally I think freedom will prevail in the US and it will probably be a more libertarian freedom then the one we are use to.

Another question is will civilization survive the massive assault that is being waged against it? I don’t know, I would like to think it will but there are signs that it may not continue. If it doesn’t we will continue to grow technologically but will return to a more dangerous era with many nations falling into a loose confederation of city states rather then being a nation state. I pray that the US doesn’t fall into a loose confederation rather then remaining a strong union.
