1. Progress mayor blacks up for Muslim sketch
A mayoral candidate for Norway’s ruling Progress Party has been accused of hate crimes after he blacked up his face for a sketch lampooning Muslim women who are beaten by their husbands.
Johnny Olaussen, who Progress has put forward to be mayor of Gamvik in Norway’s far northern Finnmark county, performed the sketch at a party meeting over the weekend.“They’re blacking themselves up and ridiculing foreigners,” Annik Eriksson from the Nora centre against violence and abuse told NRK. “These are hate crimes. The Progress Party must reject this and apologise.”

4. Church clashes with Italy’s right over migrants
“We here hear talk of the ‘unbearable’ number of asylum seekers, an attitude that is unfortunately fed by these salesmen” who are merely pandering to voters, Nunzio Galantino, secretary general of the Italian Bishops’ Conference (CEI), said in an interview on Vatican Radio.
The head of the anti-immigration Northern League party, Matteo Salvini, was quick to lash out at the Roman Catholic Church, saying “those who defend this illegal invasion, which is ruining Italy, either don’t understand or are making money” from the migrant arrivals.
(Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the Vatican its own country/city within Rome? Why don’t they let the Italians decide on their immigration and the Vatican can agree to take in 10,000 muslim refugees. They can afford it. Let them lead by example and the rest of us can decide what to do based on how it works out for them)
5. A woman who was shouting things about islam that were negative, has been arrested, charged, convicted etc. and also named in the press very quickly. She was charged with a thought crime that doesn’t even apply. Racism. Against an ideology which is not a race. And again, she was named in the press very quickly. If only she had been a muslim and killed a few people. She would be well protected. At least in Sweden.

A depraved Islamic State militant used an 11-year-old sex slave as a human shield by strapping her to the bonnet of his car while driving into battle.

9. New California law bans word ‘alien’
(I guess they will have to start making science-fiction movies in Montana)
The Peoples Republic of California has long been a PC police state. Now it has taken a giant leap forward in its restriction on human rights, this one coupled with an assault on the English language. On Monday, Gov. Jerry Brown signed three illegal immigration-related measures, including one that removes the word “alien” from California’s labor code because it is seen as a disparaging term for those not born in the United States.
The other two bills allow non-citizens in high school to serve as election poll workers and protect the rights of immigrant minors in civil lawsuits.
The bill banning “alien” is needed to modernize state labor law, in the same way many newspapers have stopped using the term “illegal alien,” said state Sen. Tony Mendoza (D-Artesia), author of the bill.

8 – Remember how a few years ago (Bush was President) North Korea and Iran would draw attention to themselves so the other could do something without the worlds press paying close attention? The possible answer to the question of what the pictures mean is not necessarily the most probable first: 1) They are trying to extort money from the west, 2) the are trying to draw attention away from Iran, 3) they are getting ready to make a military move. It it is the latter that means China is ready to make a move, there is a 4th possibility, China is devaluing the Yaun and some financial analysts are saying this is part of a currency war, China may have NK drawing attention to say, without us NK will use the bomb.
Ikea suspect ‘was to be deported’ from Sweden
The 35-year-old suspect linked to the double stabbings at an Ikea store in Västerås on Monday had been told that he was set to be expelled from the country, Swedish media are reporting.
The man, who police have previously said is an asylum seeker from Eritrea, had attended a meeting with the Swedish Migration Board in Västerås on Monday, Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet first wrote on Wednesday afternoon, quoting the head of the office, Fredrik Bengtsson.
The newspaper published migration board documents calling for the suspect to be deported to Italy, after his application for residency in Sweden was rejected on July 16th.
Other Swedish media quickly picked up on the image.
Under EU law, migrants can be sent back to their first point of entry to the European Union, suggesting that the man may have initially travelled to the Mediterranean from Africa.
The 35-year-old is the main suspect in the case and is understood to remain in hospital in Västerås after sustaining injuries himself.
A second man, 23, has also been questioned by police and has denied being involved in the violence.
