  1. Authorities ignore US mosques at center of Islamic terror attacks

Property records show the mosque attended by the terrorist who killed US soldiers at a base in Chattanooga, Tenn., is affiliated with the same Islamic group as the mosques patronized by the Boston marathon bombers and the 9/11 hijackers who attacked the Pentagon.

Yet federal investigators have dismissed any possibility that the Tennessee mosque was a source of radicalization or support for the terrorist, Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez.

The trustee of the Islamic Society of Greater Chattanooga, like the Boston and Virginia mosques attended by other terrorists, is the North American Islamic Trust.[…]

[…]This is a familiar refrain. Americans have heard the same line from leaders of other mosques controlled by NAIT after their members, too, carried out acts of terrorism. Among them:

    – Islamic Society of Boston, where a dozen terrorists have worshipped, including the marathon bombers Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tsarnaev and most recently the ISIS-inspired terrorist who plotted to behead Boston cops.

    – Islamic Community Center of Phoenix, where worshippers included two ISIS terrorists who attacked a Dallas-area event and planned to shoot up the Super Bowl.

    – Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center, where some of the 9/11 hijackers worshipped and got help obtaining IDs and housing, following on the heels of the Fort Hood shooter and several other terrorists who have attended the mosque just outside Washington.

More interested in outreach, authorities overlooked these disturbing patterns.

After 9/11, the Pentagon even invited the Dar al-Hijrah cleric, who ministered to the very hijackers who torpedoed the military headquarters, to an interfaith luncheon. That same cleric, Anwar al-Awlaki, would go on to head al Qaeda’s operations in Yemen before a drone-fired missile finally caught up to him.

Muslim Brotherhood archives uncovered last decade in an FBI raid of a terrorist suspect’s basement in a Washington suburb list NAIT as one of the movement’s key fronts in the US. They also describe its Islamic centers as “bases” from which to train and deploy its “battalions” in jihad.

NAIT holds title to more than 300 mosques and has helped finance more than 500 Islamic centers in America. Imams insist that none of them preach hate. But is it enough for law enforcement to just take their word for it?

We can’t let political correctness spare these mosques due scrutiny.

  2. USA – Hundreds of people gathered in front of the Federal Building of Los Angeles, Saturday, to protest against the nuclear deal reached between Iran and the P5+1 group in early July.

    • For those who don’t have an education in any type of finance a drop like this in a tightly controlled economy like China’s is much more serious then one in a free market. In the free market it means that prices of several companies or types of assets were way too high and corrected themselves. In a command driven economy it means the above plus telling us that the economy is much weaker then China has been admitting, they are falling no matter what the reports they release say and right now it is 50-50 if it will be a shot landing or a hard. I think it will be semi-hard to real hard but don’t have a lot of data to back me up. My subconscious is pulling facts out of my memory and combining them without telling me what those facts are, situations like this are normally called hunches and are often wrong.

    • This affair is getting scarier every day, just what did Obama and Kerry give to the Iranians?

  3. Christians pray alongside Muslims at Chattanooga mosque

TENNESSE: A small group of Christians visited a mosque in Chattanooga, Tennessee and prayed alongside Muslims.

The visit comes after the unfortunate shooting and murder on July 16 of five US troops by a local Muslim who suffered from depression. The shooter, identified as 24-year-old Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, was killed by police shortly after the attacks in Chattanooga.

As thousands joined the funeral procession of the marines in Chattanooga and waved American flags, a small number of non-Muslims joined Muslims at the mosque to show solidarity with the community.

The mosque was holding a [ Muslim ] prayer during the funeral procession for Marine Staff SgtDavid Wyatt, one of the four Marines fatally shot by Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez on July 16.

The visitors at the Islamic Society of Greater Chattanooga mosque were mostly Baptist and one was Presbyterian.

While the gesture resonated well with the Muslim community and the mosque Imam acknowledged the visitors in the course of his sermon, the visitors requested that their church remain anonymous as many did not approve of their visit.

    • Good article.
I just wish Thornton had chosen some raving leftist’s abuse of the term “colonialism”, rather than Charles Krauthammer, an astringent sweetie who’s invariably on the right side of history. One of the very Good Guy who is extremely astute in his choice of words.

Police spokeswoman Michaela Rossmann said the men, women and children were intercepted early Monday. She said some likely applied for asylum while others who didn’t would have been charged with illegally staying in Austria, given written orders to leave and then allowed to continue their trip.

Neither she nor the Interior Ministry had further details. The daily Kronen Zeitung said the men, women and 27 children come from 13 nations. It said most of them were from Syria and Afghanistan.”

There was further fighting in the south on Monday, as Houthi militias shelled residential areas in the city of Taiz. The truce, agreed by Saudi Arabia, was originally called to allow aid agencies to access civilians….”

  9. Top officials from anti-ISIS coalition to meet in Canada: sources

Senior officials from the U.S.-led coalition battling Islamic State forces will meet in Canada this week to discuss how to improve the effectiveness of the campaign, two sources with knowledge of the meeting said on Monday.

They said those who will take part in the closed-door gathering in Quebec City on Thursday include retired General John Allen, appointed by U.S. President Barack Obama to build a coalition against the militant group.

A spokesman at the U.S. embassy in Ottawa said he could not comment.

Earlier this month Allen urged Turkey to do more to stop jihadists crossing its border with Syria. Turkey and the United States are now working on plans to jointly sweep Islamic State fighters from a strip of land along the Turkish border.

The Quebec City meeting of the so-called anti-ISIS Coalition Small Group will focus on all aspects of the struggle against ISIS, both military and political, the two sources said.

Fighter jets from the United States and Canada are striking against ISIS targets in Iraq and Syria and both nations are also training Iraqi fighters.

Western powers say their efforts alone will not defeat the group, insisting Iraq needs to do more, and the Quebec meeting will assess Baghdad’s actions.

Foreign ministers from the Coalition Small Group last month met Iraq’s prime minister, who complained the coalition had not done enough to tackle Islamic State, which holds about a third of the country.

The Small Group comprises about 20 nations, including Australia, Bahrain, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
