Threats to the US, revelations about the Tunisia attack and more: Links 4 on June 30 – 2015

1. Sunbed gunman was high on COCAINE: Laughing fanatic took photos of his victims during tourist killing spree – as new pictures emerge of unexploded bomb found next to his dead body

Pictures taken moments after the 23-year-old was gunned down by police show what appear to be a bomb vest lying next to him. A bag used to carry explosives is slung across his lifeless body.

There are two gaping bulletholes near his heart and one above his belly button.

There is speculation the gunman was too high on drugs to detonate his remaining explosive devise.

Survivors said last night that Rezgui, who has been linked to Islamic State, was laughing and smiling as he massacred his 38 victims with an AK-47 assault rifle in Sousse last Friday.

‘At one point, the gunman was busy – with his gun on his back – with a phone out, taking photos of the bodies and laughing,’ said Paul Short.

2. Czech Republic: Arrest made after anti-Islam demo is met by counter-protest

RT – PRAGUE – Hundreds of protesters demonstrating against what they consider to be the “Islamisation of Europe” were met by a group of counter-protesters in central Prague, Tuesday, leading to heated disputes and at least one arrest.

3. 100 extremists a year lecture at universities: Fanatics given a platform to spread hatred of the West despite ministers demanding crackdown on radicalism

Universities are providing a platform for more than 100 Islamist extremists every year, a disturbing report will reveal next week.

The fanatics are being allowed to make speeches at leading academic institutions despite ministers calling for a crackdown on radicalism.

The study says that more than 20 students who attended UK universities have been convicted of terrorism, or have lost their lives waging jihad in Syria.

(Meanwhile, Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer, and for some reason, Michael Savage are specifically blacklisted from entering the UK, and Michael Savage never even asked to go there)

4. Saudi pumping millions to promote Wahhabism in India

The diplomatic documents released by WikiLeaks last week have revealed that Saudi Arabia is pumping in millions of rupees into India for opening of religious trusts and non-governmental organisations.

WikiLeaks have disclosed an undated document that contains a list of Indian institutions and societies that have applied for financial assistance from the Arab nation.

The document suggests that the government of Saudi Arabia itself pledged donations to nine such institutions located across different states, including Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Kerala and Maharashtra.

Saudi Arabia pledged 4.5 million Saudi Riyal (SR) to different institutions in Kerala only.

Similarly, In Uttar Pradesh, 75,000 SR were pledged to two different societies for establishing a Madrasa building and a vocational centre for girls.

The documents also reveal that the Secretariat General of the Muslim World League in Mecca, a controversial organisation with alleged links to terror funding, had requested Saudi Arabia to establish the organisation’s Salafi or Wahhabi centres in India.

(No one should have any illusions that similar programs do not exist in Canada at a far more advanced stage than the story above. In fact, the Saudis likely have bought influence in every political party in Canada, and have got the results they wanted)

5. Jaish al-Islam Releases Video of Executing 18 IS Fighters

Jaish al-Islam released a video of executing 18 fighters from the Islamic State (IS) by gunshot, five days after the IS published a production of beheading Jaish al-Islam and Nusra Front members in Damascus.

(Video here for the moment)

(I believe Craig’s List has several openings for knife sharpeners and brass cleaners in Syria)

6. Egypt’s Sisi vows tougher laws after prosecutor’s killing

Egypt’s president has vowed to enact legal reforms so death sentences can be enforced more swiftly, a day after the assassination of the public prosecutor.

At the funeral of Hisham Barakat, Abdul Fattah al-Sisi complained that the hand of justice was shackled by the law.

He promised to unveil changes within days to allow death sentences to be implemented as soon as possible.

Thank you Wrath of Khan, Richard, M., and many more. Dear readers, there are many important stories not posted here but in the daily links post. It is worth at least skimming over them. To our Canadian readers, have a wonderful Dominion day tomorrow and remember we still live in one of the greatest countries in the world and for the moment, with one of the few rational governments left. Its down to Denmark, Egypt, Australia and us pretty much. Perhaps the Czech republic and a few more I am unaware of, but for sure, Canada is one of the few.
