1. Life under the Caliphate: Those forced to endure ISIS rule reveal how wearing aftershave can save you from being whipped… and how a beheading video is often how they learn of a relative’s death

playing music on a car stereo while driving can result in 10 lashes.

forced to sign ‘repentance cards’ where they pledge allegiance to the Caliphate. Failure to do so results in extreme measures.

(I can’t understand why any humanitarian would read the NYT ever since Walter Durante)

“After a while, I simply gave up trying to debunk such lunacy,” he added.

Oren, who was recently elected to Israel’s Knesset, goes on to recount a bizarre exchange he had with New York Times op-ed editor Andrew Rosenthal after Oren felt “compelled” to respond to an erroneous retelling of history that Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas published in the New York Times in 2011. In his New York Times op-ed, Oren writes, Abbas implied “the Arabs had accepted the UN’s Partition Plan in 1947 while Israel rejected it,” which is the exact opposite of what actually occurred.

Oren’s recreation of the phone exchange between him and Rosenthal suggests that the New York Times editor is unable to distinguish the difference between fact and opinion:

3. Chad bans Islamic face veil after suicide bombings

Chad has banned people from wearing the full-face veil, following two suicide bomb attacks on Monday.

Chad’s government accused Nigerian militant Islamist group Boko Haram of the bombings which killed more than 20 people.

The prime minister said the veil was used as a “camouflage” by militants and said the security forces will burn all full-face veils sold in markets.

Chad is to host a new regional force set up to tackle Boko Haram.

4. Shots fired into Saint Matthew Church on Pendleton Street

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) –

Shots were fired into Saint Matthew Missionary Baptist Church in the 2000 block of Pendleton Street.

Officers were told that one of the church’s pastors noticed a bullet hole in the front door of the building.

It is unknown when the shots were fired, because no one else was at the church at the time.

At this time, investigators say there is nothing indicating that the shooting is connected to the shooting in South Carolina

5. Anonymous claims it is building a social media site which it hopes will be a Facebook killer.

(Personally I would not trust anonymous even more than I don’t trust Facebook. Like the Iran_Iraq wars, this is one you hope both sides will lose)

6. The US seems to be making targets for the Islamic State

7. New Report: Child Sexual Abuse Prevalent in Areas with High Asian Populations

(Thank you Captain Obvious)

The majority of child sexual abuse cases are taking place in areas with significant Asian populations, a new report has found. Figures revealed by Freedom of Information requests lodged with every police force in England show that London, Manchester and West Yorkshire have the highest rates of incidents. Another study claimed that White and Asian people took the number one and two slots amongst perpetrators.

The National Society for the Prevention of Child Cruelty (NSPCC) lodged the FOI requests as part of it’s fact finding exercise for it’s third annual state of the nations’s children report. The figures show that there were a total of 31,238 sexual offences against under 18 year olds recorded between 1st April 2013 and 31st March 2014, an increase of 40 percent on the previous year.

(This report is still deceptive. The “Asian” origin of the perps mean nothing. The Islamic beliefs however, mean everything. The report specifically works around the Islamic aspect of the perps)

8. Israeli PM will not condemn Oren’s new book even at the request of the Ambassador to Israel from the US

US. Ambassador to Israel, Dan Shapiro phoned Prime Minister Netanyahu and asked him to issue a statement disavowing former Israeli Ambassador to Israel Michael Oren’s statements about President Obama.

In MK Michael Oren’s new book, he accuses Obama of abandoning the two main principle of US-Israel relations: no public disagreements (“no daylight”) and no suprises in major policy changes. He also primarily lays the blame on Obama for the bad relationship with Israel.

He says that while Netanyahu made mistakes, Obama purposely damaged US-Israel relations.

Thank you CB Sashenka, GoV., M., Wrath of Khan, Richard, ML., Buck, DF., and all. More to come. It will be an interesting day.

It seems there is a new punchline for the primary school joke which goes,

“What is black and white and red all over?”

  1. I put these in the NewLinks section, but they fit here.

    David Horovitz interviews Michael Oren.?

Michael Oren sees a US alliance in tatters, and Israel ‘on our own’?Asked whether people might look back on this period as the last days before Israel was wiped out, the MK-diplomat-historian responds: ‘It’s happened before in history, hasn’t it?’

    • This is an important article. Not all of it is about the book. ?

It’s a conversation between two Americans who made their lives in the Jewish State. They would have been equally successful in either place. Deeply committed people, they have a rare breadth of understanding of how both nations work.?

In the last couple of years, I’ve had this conversation innumerable times with people just like these. American Israelis. Similar, but subtly different from Israeli-Americans or America-saturated Israelis like Bibi.

Whether they know it or not, Oren and Horovitz still identify with the USA. ?That’s part of what’s killing them. Watching the demise of the American Jew who went so far left, he fell off the tribal radar and is probably lost.

There’s impatience, disappointment and outrage. But there seems to an emerging maturity, recognition of just exactly what they let themselves in for when they made aliya. ?Be a fly on the wall. Read the article.

  2. PS: @ Eeyore and the Vlad Team:

I love your new banners ! If these photos are taken in Canada: dont let them take your beautiful country away from you !!!

  3. Aside from the timing there doesn’t seem to be any connection between the shootings.

The news commentators are talking about how the SC shooter wanted to start a race war, it seems to me that an asymmetric race war has been ongoing for several years.
