1. Hospitals urge Muslims to donate organs

Muslims needing an organ donation, such as a new kidney or liver, wait on average a year longer than non-Muslims.

This is due to a lack of donors coming forward from a matching ethnic background.

As Ramadan begins, doctors are urging Muslims to consider allowing their organs to be used after their death.

2. US army vet not allowed to live off the grid.

(While this is not directly the kind of story covered on this site, there seems to be something insidious behind a policy that on the one hand, punishes people for using municipal resources with excessive taxation and costs etc. and then arrests if you if you do not use them at all and therefore fits nicely into an anti totalitarian, anti communist theme)

4. Hungary Considering Border Fence to Keep out Migrants

(Thanks to the EU and its open border policy mixed with its ‘flood Europe with aliens who hate it’ policy, Europe will be divided by high fences and armed guards within a few years most likely)

The Hungarian government is considering building a 4-meter-high (13-foot-high) fence along the border with Serbia to stop the flow of migrants reaching the country, the foreign minister said Wednesday.

The government has asked Interior Minister Sandor Pinter to present preparations for the plan by next Wednesday. […]

So far this year, more than 53,000 people have requested asylum in Hungary, up from under 43,000 in 2014 and 2,150 in 2012. More than 70 percent of asylum seekers over the past three months are from Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq, though the vast majority move further west to destinations like Germany and Sweden shortly after filing their asylum requests.

“The pressure of migration which presents serious difficulties for Europe affects Hungary the most among EU member countries,” Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said. “Hungary cannot allow itself to wait any longer. Naturally, we hope there will be a joint European solution.”

Thank you Wrath of Khan, Dumbstruck, Carpe Diem, M., and many more. This is the first post with a new theme I am not sure about yet. Any comments on how it looks and works, and more importantly how it fails to work and whats wrong with it, really appreciated. Much more work needs doing to settle it down.

  1. When I was working in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia around 1988, a young European girl was abducted and one of her kidneys was surgically removed. She was returned after 3 days minus kidney with a bag containing $50k. It was presumed that she had been matched with a wealthy Saudi’s child on a previous hospital visit.
Of course this never hit the news. So many unreported stories….

  2. 4 – Border guards were common in Europe until after the Cold War, we are returning to the past, facing the same enemies we did in the past and making the same mistakes we made in the past. While I don’t doubt that in the long run we will win just as we did in the past.

  3. Dear Vlad,

Since I was not able to reply to the Hungarian story I will post it here.

Monday night in Ottawa I attended a concert commemorating Hungarian Jews and their contributions to Hungarian culture through music. The evening was sponsored by the Hungarian government, led by Victor Orban, in an effort to counter extra-Hungarian sentiments that Hungary is slipping toward the fascism represented by Hungary’s far right Jobbik party.

Let it be known that, pound for pound, no people, arguably, have contributed more to human science, art and commerce than Hungarians. And pound for pound for pound, the Hungarian Jew is perhaps even more extraordinary. The problem is that Hungarian Jews acknowledge that theirs is a religion; not a race, and that they are, firstly, Hungarian.

What a sad, proud and brilliant people.

Notable luminaries were in attendance including Peter Munk of Barrick Gold fame and fortune. Mr. Munk delivered a powerful, impassioned speech describing some of his history, and ultimate endorsement of Mr Orban as a genuine champion of Hungarian democracy, and supporter of Hungarian Jews. He went on to say that Mr. Orban’s task of steering the ship of a democratic Hungary through the historically treacherous waters of central Europe were tremendously difficult.

I think Mr. Orban gets it. He gets the Muslim problem (let’s not forget that Hungary was occupied by the Turks for 150 years), he gets the EU forced immigration issue, and he gets the fact he must repel from the west the tidal wave of cultural Marxism weighing on this tiny country.

Let it be noted that Mr. Munk was not obliged to take on, publicly, such a position at this stage in his game. Given the growing trend of antisemitism in Europe, however, and given his Hungarian heritage, it is not surprising that Mr. Munk should feel compelled to acknowledge Mr. Orban and his efforts. Jews seem now to be welcome nowhere in Europe except in Hungary. How ironic, given its history. Alas, this little country has always found itself at a crossroads, and seems destined to perpetual suffering. And how easy it is for the ever-correct EU policy makers to criticize Mr. Orban as they use Hungary as a buffer to Russia. And who better to know the perils of dealing with the treacherous Russians than a Hungarian.

After all these years Mr. Munk is willing to give his homeland another chance.

Needless to say, once the music of the evening started Mr. Munk clapped along. He knows that now is not the time to sit on our hands.

    • I believe Ronald Lauder spoke to the strength of the Jews in Hungary this spring. His speech was inspiring.
