  1. “Speer reports that “Hitler had been much impressed by a scrap of history he had learned from a delegation of distinguished Arabs.”[2] The delegation had speculated that the world would have become “Mohammedan” if the Berbers and Arabs had won the Battle of Tours in the 8th Century AD, and that the Germans would have become heirs to “a religion that believed in spreading the faith by the sword and in subjugating all nations to that faith. Such a creed was perfectly suited to the German temperament.””

“…Hitler said that the conquering Arabs, because of their racial inferiority, would in the long run have been unable to contend with the harsher climate of the country. They could not have kept down the more vigorous natives, so that ultimately not Arabs but Islamized Germans could have stood at the head of this Mohammedan Empire.”

“General der Artillerie Walter Warlimont, who was involved in military alliances with some Arabs, reports that many German officers believed:

…the only real political rallying point among the Arabs was their common hatred of the Jews, while “Arab nationalist movements” as such, because of the diversity of interests in the various Arab countries, existed only on paper”

    • That is fascinating, Perfectchild. Thank you from this German who does not know her history too well, but is learning šŸ˜‰

    • Fascinatingā€¦Hitler’s voice comes through so clearly and his point is well-taken. German Mohammedans would’ve been running the show in a trice and that combo would’ve been something else.

Of course ‘Over Here’ we hadnā€™t yet become the degenerates of today. But FDR was bad news. I figure he’d throw in with that lot without scruple or backward glance.

I just can’t see Imperial Japan collapsing into the Ummah so easily. The odd surviving Jew here and there might’ve found shelter with them, as we did in Shanghai. Then they’d have gotten The Bomb firstā€¦

      • “…so that ultimately not Arabs but Islamized Germans could have stood at the head of this Mohammedan Empire.ā€…”

It may be cynical on my part, but observing what is happening in Germany now, I’m tempted to alter this sentence slightly into:

“…ultimately not islamized Germans, but germanized Arabs/muslims could stand at the head of this….”
        ARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH

  2. Correction to the subtitles:
I’m told that the name of the muslim Division was “Handschar”. I had left it out, because I did not recognise the name. Here is more about The Mufti of Jerusalem and Hitler, a documentary (15 minutes) on the love affair between the Muslims and the Nazis.
