1. Egypt summons U.S. ambassador over Muslim Brotherhood

(Does anyone else get the profound creeping horrors over this article?)

Egypt summoned the U.S. ambassador in Cairo to show displeasure at Muslim Brotherhood figures coming to Washington for a private conference, sources familiar with the matter said on Monday.

One source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said U.S. officials did not intend to meet the group although they had met some Brotherhood figures that came to Washington in January.

The tensions reflect a clash between U.S. diplomats’ desire to deal with the whole political spectrum in Egypt and a fear of alienating Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi who, as army chief, toppled a Muslim Brotherhood-led government in 2013.

The sources declined to say precisely when U.S. Ambassador Stephen Beecroft was call in by the Egyptian government, though one said it was in recent days. Egypt sought the meeting to make clear its unhappiness at U.S. dealings with the Brotherhood.

3. Islamic state seizes power plant near Libyan city of Sirte: Military source

Islamic State militants have seized a power plant west of the Libyan city of Sirte which supplies central and western parts of the country with electricity, the group and a military source said on Tuesday.

“The plant … was taken,” Islamic State said in a message on social media, adding that the capture of the plant meant that the militants had driven their enemies out of the entire city.

Forces loyal to the self-declared government that controls the capital Tripoli pulled out of the plant after Islamic State attacked it on Tuesday morning. Three soldiers were killed in the attack, the military source said.

4. Islamic State publishes video of them murdering someone in Egypt they accuse of being a police spy. All copies of the video have been purged from multiple sites but if it is urgent that someone see it, it could be available. The story is here however and the screen capture below pretty much tells the whole story.

Cairo (AFP) – The Egyptian branch of the Islamic State group released a video Monday showing the jihadists killing a man in North Sinai after accusing him of being a police “spy”.

Ansar Beit al-Maqdis — which has pledged allegiance to IS and renamed itself “Sinai Province” — has carried out a spate of deadly attacks on the peninsula since last year.

In the video distributed on Twitter and YouTube on Monday, the Egyptian man accused of being a “spy” for the security services was shot in the neck by the jihadists.

Before the killing, the man identified himself in front of the camera and said the security services had charged him with infiltrating the Sinai-based extremists and collecting information about them.

Jihadists have killed scores of police and soldiers in attacks on the Sinai peninsula since the army deposed Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.

They are seeking to establish a province of the self-declared IS “caliphate” straddling parts of Syria and Iraq and say the attacks are retaliation for a deadly government crackdown on Morsi’s supporters since his ouster.

6. Obama administration harshly criticizes Egypt in report to Congress

(Once again, the far left wing extremist in office at the White House shows how they can be for tyranny, fascism, religious totalitarianism and make it look like they are defending free speech and liberalism. This is about as far through the looking glass as one can get and not have to eat anti-emetics like they are Tic-Tacs)

The Obama administration has sent Congress a report that harshly criticizes the Egyptian government for restricting free speech, arresting political opponents and undermining democracy.

Even so, the report also recommends the US continue sending it $1.3 billion in mostly military aid.

The report, quietly submitted to lawmakers last month, said that while Egypt has implemented some democratic reforms, “the overall trajectory of rights and democracy has been negative.”

7. French Islamic group on trial after Jewish “target” list found

(The real question is, what changes in policy will the French government make due to this and a growing list of Islamic acts of war against the French population of various kinds?)

8. Muslim brotherhood groups supporting pro Muslim Brotherhood MPs in the Canadian elections

[…] The recent incidents have created inhibitions in the political freedom of the nation. It is seen that there are political facets to this global fear that are present on the Canadian soil. Members of Muslim brotherhood are one such fascist group that has shown presence in Canadian elections candidature. Muslim brotherhood is “an international Muslim Body, which seeks to establish Allah’s law in the land by achieving the spiritual goalsof Islam and the true religion”. The organization, original brain child of Egypt has been banned in the nation as it showed links to terrorist organizations, since then Muslim brotherhood survived in neighboring nations under various names like the Al-Menbar Islamic Society in Bahrain to Hadas in Kuwait to the Islamic Movement in Israel. The last organization to be added to the list is the Canadian alleged Hamas fundraiser IRFAN-Canada, which has worked closely with the Brotherhoodbenefitting the candidates contesting the upcoming elections in Canada. Imagine a tall blond haired man dressed in an immaculate Waffen SS uniform, complete with death’s head lapel pins and a snazzy hat. Now imagine that man striding confidently into a synagogue on Saturday morning, head tilted upward at the correct Prussian-arrogance angle – riding crop tucked under arm. Well, that’s how obvious Barack Hussein Obama is being about the fact that he is a Manchurian Candidate. You can’t be more on the other side than supporting the Muslim Brotherhood, for Christ’s sake. Why don’t people know that? Picture our blond man man clicking his heels together, snapping into the famous salute, and shouting, “Heil Hitler!” at the Rabbi. Really…

    • The LSM refuses to talk about most of his scandals and the low information voters think that if it isn’t on the LSM it is a lie.

    • Sisi, who was elected president in a 2014 landslide but with lower-than-expected turnout that raised questions about his mandate, regards the Brotherhood as part of a terrorist network that poses a threat to the Arab and Western world.

Is it only me who thinks this president is the Anti-ISIS incarnate?

      * it’s a joke. ISIS, Sisi*

      *Yesssssssss*

Times for giving the benefits of the doubt even to those who call him “naive” are long since over – because:

    • Are you ok? I worried, VA-type worry.
      Did you miss ME?
      __No?!
__Not even when you saw the Devil brush Boston again?!

    • I moved and can’t walk the 6 miles to the library, then the transmission went out on my truck.

Yes I missed you and I really wanted your take on the terror arrest when it went down.

On the other hand I now have basic cable (I didn’t at the old house) and the internet at home. I can get on the net anytime I want.

No the truck isn’t fixed yet, I am dependent on a friend to take me around, both of us are praying that both trucks don’t break at the same time. Part of the wear and tear on the truck is running him and his wife around when his old truck (about 7 years younger then mine) breaks down.

I haven’t looked for any movies for you yet but I promise I will.

      • I have waited a long time for this one to be posted on Youtube, while they don’t call the officer Custer this is a good retelling of the events leading up to the Battle of the Little Big Horn. Tom Tryon plays Captain Benteen the white hero of that battle. The Indian hero and the best general in the fight was Dull Knife the Cheyenne Chief.

      • As fond as I am of machines, better the truck than you. Your name on the comments updates is a pleasure to see at random times, any time, all the time.
        Despite the extra homework.

I’m having computer trouble myself, hanging on to the ethernet cable for a primitive connection. It’s all slow, and I’m unable watch movies!

Without noticing, I seem to have become obsolete. Pathetic evidence of aging, like falling asleep in your soup.

This system took a lot of effort to put together. I need the right configuration of devices to meet my limited dexterity requirements. Now there are so many options I’ll have to consult a professional. Shouldn’t be too tough, with Mass General 15 minutes away.
