Robert Chardon was hospitalized under the involuntary confinement provision.

Involuntary confinement applies to psychiatric issues as per French law (How French administration explains the involuntary confinement – http://vosdroits.service-public.fr/particuliers/F761.xhtml)

Robert Chardon, the (Bouches-du-Rhône) UMP mayor who tweeted many times that Islam must be banned in France was forcibly hospitalized this Friday.
Hospitalization was requested by someone close to him for reasons of ‘incoherent statements’. Robert Chardon, who is in cancer treatment, confirmed his statements and assured everyone his Twitter account had not been hacked.
“Absurd statements”
To say the least, the UMP vice-president (Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet) says that “she requested an ‘exclusion provision” for his absurd statements which do not reflect in any way UMP values.
Nicolas Sarkozy also reacted through tweets on his Twitter account. He “condemns this proposal” from the mayor of the 8,000 population borough:
According to Robert Chardon, “anyone that practises Islam must be immediately returned to the border”. He is asking for an amendment to the Constitution to achieve his goal: “I am asking to abolish the legislation of 1905 and to proclaim the Republic favors Christian values”.
He wants to be a candidate for the regional and presidential elections.
Should the UMP party evict him, he says he will “set up a new party”.
P.S.: Updated follow-up story from Figaro: he was suddenly hospitalized for health reasons as per his cancer treatment…
Involuntary hospitalisation confinement
“I risk exclusion”, Robert Chardon acknowledges to AFP (Agence France Presse). “Should this be the case, I will set up a new political party”, confirms the elected official who wants to be a candidate for the regional and presidential elections.
As per AFP who cites a source close to Robert Chardon, he had been treated for some months for cancer and was forcibly hospitalised this Friday afternoon. This hospitalisation request was issued by “a third party as a result of his incoherent statements”.
Mr. Serge Gouteyron – Deputy Prefect of Aix – replied to La Provence that “Mr. Chardon was hospitalised as a consequence of his disease and no legal procedure was undertaken for forcible confinement in a psychiatric facility”, as stated by AFP. Contacted by Scan, the sub-prefect confirms this version of the story.
In a press release (communiqué), Robert Chardon’s First Deputy – Patricia Saez – assures everyone that Robert Chardon’s tweets “are clearly the result of his precarious health situation since the past few months. They do not reflect in any way Robert Chardon’s past opinions, it is stated.
The First Deputy Mayor confirms that “the town is looking into all possible solutions to be implemented to end this situation while working with competent authorities to resolve the matter”.

On social media, Robert Chardon to the President of the Party:  “The cult of Islam must be banned in France“.  Before renewing his tweets re the ban, he sent it out to media such as BFM-TV or iTélé (personal note: both pro-Islam media).

Offenders will take either the boat or the plane

Called upon by many outraged Tweeters, the UMP mayor details his proposal.  His wish is to amend the Constitution to prohibit the Islamic cult.  “I abolish the 1905 Law and proclaim the Republic favors the practice of the Christian faith“, he adds.

Robert Chardon doesn’t hesitate to compare the situation to Louis XIV, who forbade Protestantism: “332 years after the revocation of the Edict of Nantes by Louis XIV, it is time for forbid Islam in France” – he writes as he explains that “our culture is Judeo-Christian.  Those who contravene will leave either by boat or by plane (…).  Islam is fine in the Maghreb”, he says.

 A process of exclusion

Robert Chardon is not at his first attempt at this. On Facebook, he’s been posting Islamophobic videos and messages since the past few days.  Such as this image of the French flag with the message “Protect yourselves.  Adopt a pig”.

The local opposition reacted promptly by requesting destitution of the elected official.

  1. In the France of Taubira (the France-and French-hating anti-white racist JUSTICE MINISTER), the France of Belkacem (Arab-Muslim EDUCATION minister with double nationality but single loyalty to Morocco), Hidalgo, Mayor Of France who whores for Islam (opening the people’s secular Town Hall to Muslims for their religious celebrations , poses for 100eds of photos and interviews declaring “je suis charlie” yet forbids the French Patriots to hold a peaceful protest meeting in front of their Town Hall and sues them (in co-operation with TAUBIRA) for a carricature about here she did not like)…etc. etc etc – in THAT France: if you criticise Islamic terrorism you get hauled before Taubira’s Kangaroo Courts and if you criticise Islam, you finish up in the Loony Bin.

The extra sad thing about this case is that his own party, the soi disant CONSERVATIVE UMP (Sarkozy), has expelled him and seems to be okay with the statements that “Cancer makes you ripe for incarceration in a mental institution”.

Nasty Islam and abject Fear make that ^^^France a very dangerous place for civilised and/or thinking people, let alone for those who DARE to speak up.

    • Sovieter and sovieter.

MAYBE, his illness and medications lowered inhibition of impulsive behavior. He might have phrased his opinion in a more diplomatic way.

I don’t know how he’s expressed himself before this episode, but I suspect he’s usually more circumspect. He is a profession politician, after all.

      MAYBE.

        • “Quarties Sensibles” they are calling it. And, as you can see from this little map, “they” are closing in, this is Paris. It’s much worse in Marseilles. I’m lucky enough to live in the 4th and/or 5th Arrondissement when in Paris, when my luck runs out, I will look for a quartier that is mainly occupied by Asians (in Paris that means Vietnamese).

In the outer suburbs “quartiers sensibles” means that, for example, fire fighters need police protection, and since the first job the “Justice Minister” TAUBIRA did when given the present of “Justice Ministry”, was to emasculate the Police completely when it comes to “profiling”, these “quartiers” become, literally No-Go Zones, whatever euphemism they are dressed up in. Because: who will protect the disarmed protectors? (Rhetorical question).

          • Stay safe there. It’s been dismal having to watch again and again, following the attempted attack in Texas, the footage of the unarmed policeman on the sidewalk being finished off outside the Charlie Hebdo offices.

Pardon if I have bragged of this here before, but I managed to get myself beaten up and robbed by North African youths in France in the late 70s, when I was a foolish youth myself and before, as far as I know, there was such a thing as a quartie sensible. This was late at night near Creil, north of Paris. It was curious making that connection to the earlier days of the Muslim invasion after so many years.

      • “Sovieter and Sovieter”

        LOL, well said, Alice 😉

Caroline Almachere writes about this in Riposte Laique:
        http://ripostelaique.com/le-maire-ump-anti-islam-interne-goulag-et-camisole-pour-tous.html

She describes one interview with a “political expert” in the local Evening news like so:

“…They say he lost his mind , “says the first showing the shock of one who has just learned that his great-aunt was running naked down the Avenue de Wagram ,” This is the first time that he slips in this way? ” ……”… clearly Robert Chardon is seriously ill. He has cancer , you understand, that necessarily will make him drop the ball…” …….”…his internment is therefore justified , as is his exclusion from the party….”

Then she quotes a journalist from “La Liberation” a leftist journal, who approves of the hospitalisation: … “… Cancer patients often suffer delusions that cause hallucinations , nightmares, and paranoid ideas…”

        And she concludes her article:

        …”Un problème avec l’islam ? Où ça ?

La Corée du Nord France est en train de devenir une véritable dictature où l’en enferme des citoyens pour avoir voulu protéger le peuple d’une idéologie qui encourage la mort de mécréants pour s’assurer d’une place au Paradis à forniquer avec d’éternelles pucelles ! Oui, on en est là !

Goulag et camisoles pour tous ! “

        A problem with Islam? Where?

North Korea France is turning into a real dictatorship where citizens are emprisoned for having tried to protect the people from an ideology that encourages the death of unbelievers so as to ensure themselves a place in Paradise where they can fornicate with eternal virgins !

Yes, that’s where we are at!

Gulag and straight jackets for everyone!

        • I know people who were treated for cancer. None went delusional. Chardon is not delusional. He’s fed up with situation and figures he has nothing left to lose except speak out. Give him a medal!

          • I agree, not crazy. He is concerned and understand his job in truth is to serve the in the best interest of the French people. In his eyes Islam is dangerous to their present system of government. He is right too. He has every right to petition for a change. He probably won’t get it… but he has the right.

      • Even if his meds caused him to be blunter then normal his imprisonment is still a sign that France is no longer free.

  2. The French will need a revolution, Probably too late to do it any other way the city of romance is in ruin and controlled by the oppressive force of Islam.
