1. Just Revealed: Iran’s Military Aggression Not Limited To Tuesday Seizure Of Western Cargo Ship
Against the high-stakes backdrop of the ongoing multi-nation negotiations over its nuclear program, Iran is reportedly engaging in more interceptions of commercial ships than previously disclosed; and one of those vessels is operating under the flag of the United States.
On Tuesday, Middle Eastern news sources, in their initial breaking news reports on the incident, indicated that an Iranian naval vessel had fired upon and redirected a U.S.-flagged cargo ship toward a port on the coast of Iran. As the details of the shocking seizure of that container ship became available, it was learned that the vessel was, in fact, flagged to the Marshall Islands. Pentagon sources say there are no Americans on board the ship that was seized and reportedly boarded by Iranian military personnel for reasons yet undisclosed.
2. NSA phone data collection ‘illegal’, US court rules
A US appeals court has ruled that bulk collection of phone records by the National Security Agency is illegal.
Overturning a 2013 ruling, the judges did not, however, halt the programme but urged Congress to take action.
The NSA’s spying was leaked by Edward Snowden, a former NSA contractor who has since fled to Russia.
The NSA has collected data about numbers called and times, but not the content of conversations. It also allegedly spied on European firms.
(“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects,[a] against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.” 4th amendment to the US constitution. Seems clear to me)

6. Poster for free-speech forum sets off debate at University of Minnesota
(The most disturbing thing in this article is that the university has an, “Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action office”. It sounds an awful lot like an official stamp on what kinds of racism will be policy while other kinds will be criminal. After all, affirmative action is just another way of saying, “We aren’t anti Jewish. We are just looking for equality for Aryans” except where Aryans are dominant, then we leave it alone of course)
After initially demanding that the posters be taken down, university officials quickly rescinded the ban, calling it a mistake. Then the Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action investigated and advised the dean of liberal arts to disavow the use of the offending image and “use your leadership role to repair the damage” it caused in the Muslim community.
Jane Kirtley, a professor of media ethics and law, said she was taken aback by the U’s response. “There is no question in my mind that this [poster] was protected speech,” Kirtley said.
The incident, which has been simmering behind the scenes for months, first was reported April 29 in the Minnesota Daily. On Tuesday, it drew national attention in the online journal Inside Higher Ed, in the wake of Sunday’s attack by gunmen on an anti-Islam cartoon contest in Garland, Texas.
Prof. Bruno Chaouat said the January forum, which he helped to organize, was designed as “an opportunity to educate about free speech.” He called the university’s reaction — deciding to launch an investigation — part of a worrisome trend.
7. Muslim Terrorist Leader From Minnesota Inspired ‘Texas Terror’ Attack
The two men shot down while attempting to attack a prophet Muhammad cartoon-drawing contest–Elton Simpson, 30, and Nadir Hamid Soofi, 34–drew their inspiration (and perhaps even received their direct orders) from an ISIS leader formerly from Minnesota.
Minnesota CBS affiliate WCCO reports that Mujahid Miski, whose real name is Mohammed Abdullahi Hassan, left Minneapolis in 2008 to join al-Shabaab in Somalia and was indicted in 2009 on terror charges. He is believed to still be in Somalia.
Thank you Richard, M., DP111, Ox AO., Nicolai Sennels and all. More to come.
Note: There were no protesters at the event. They always seem to protest but not this one.
interesting.
Good point, it is as if they were warned to stay away.

Prophet?
As perfectchild poimnted out, prophets come from the Hebrew line. Moreover they all were extre, mely reluctant to take up the bitter cup. Most of them were martyred.
Muhammed gloried in his self appointed role, anbd absolutely loved the idea of taking a huge cut from the raids of caravans,

Mormons attack Broadway show, media blames producer
MANHATTAN– The NYPD is reporting that shots were fired at 230 W 49th St. this afternoon into the front of the Eugene O’Neill Theatre, which is the site of the Tony-Award winning Broadway musical, The Book of Mormon. It is unclear whether anyone was injured in the attack, but witnesses saw a pair of young men in white short-sleeved shirts with neckties fleeing from the scene on bicycles.
It is being speculated that the young men on bicycles were angry Mormons expressing their outrage at the show’s producers.
