  1. Robert Spencer on Hillary Clinton’s war against free speech

(at David Horowitz’s Wednesday Morning Club. April 14, 2015)

    • Talk is 30 mins and includes exegesis of always-popular koran 5:32. Followed by Q & A.

      • Thanks for that link, I am only 4 minutes into it and this is already absolutely fascinating (I love the clear way Robert Spencer makes even complicated concepts accessible) this video needs to be widely distributed !!!

        • It’s never hard to see why such effort is put into keeping Spencer-on-video out of wider distribution. Though why bother, you wonder, people are so indoctrinated they are deaf to what he is saying anyhow.

  2. Take a look at the bottom video of the three in this link below. The old guy is a seventy two year old UKIP councillor from Great Yarmouth called Tom Andrews….

The younger man is vile manipulative communist trade union, stand up to UKIP/Hope not Hate goon David Braniff-Herbert …..Watch what happens in the bottom video because it’s the longest and most revealing of the three…A seventy two year old man hassled, reported and then arrested by police because of the disgusting antics of Hope not hate.

  3. CBC – ISIS video purports to show killing of Ethiopian Christians in Libya

Video bore logo of ISIS media arm and resembled previous footage from extremist group

President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi Egypt says Egypt reserves the right of retaliation

A video released by Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) on Sunday appears to show the killing of two different groups of captured Ethiopian Christians by the militants’ Libyan affiliates.

The 29-minute online video purports to show militants holding two groups of captives. It says one group is held by an ISIS affiliate in eastern Libya known as Barka Province and the other by an affiliate in the south calling itself the Fazzan Province.

A masked fighter brandishing a pistol delivers a long statement, saying Christians must convert to Islam or pay a special tax prescribed by the Qur’an.

The video then switches between footage of the captives in the south being shot dead and the captives in the east being beheaded on a beach.

It was not immediately clear who the captives were or when they were captured. It was also not clear how many captives were killed. The SITE Intelligence Group said it had images taken from the video.

The video bore the official logo of the ISIS media arm al-Furqan and resembled previous videos released by the extremist group, including one in February in which ISIS militants in Libya beheaded 21 captured Egyptian Christians on a beach.

WATCH: ISIS Beheads Ethiopian Christians in Libya

The Islamic State has a released a new video allegedly showing the mass execution and beheading of Ethiopian Christians in Libya. The 29-minute video was released on Sunday, April 19 by ISIS’ Al-Furqan media arm and purports to show Islamic State affiliates in the eastern Libya province known as Barka Province and the southern Fazzan Province.

The video begins with a long introduction of a rant against Christendom, but the gore begins at around 25-minutes where a pistol brandishing jihadist claims that Christians must convert to Islam or pay a special tax in the Quran known as Jizya.

First a line of alleged Ethiopian Christians are lined up and shot in the back of the head. After that, the scene cuts to a beach where another group of alleged Ethiopian Christians are beheaded in much a similar way to the February beheadings of the Coptic Christians.

    • ISIS Video Shows Two Mass-Executions of Christians in Libya

Jihadists behead, shoot scores of kidnapped Ethiopian
Christians in gory new video; vow more killings until Christians accept Islam.

ISIS has released yet another graphic video showing the mass execution of Christians in Libya, and has vowed to continue killing Christians until the world submits to Islam.

The grisly footage appeared at the end of a 30-minute video by the Islamic State terror group’s Al Furkan media arm, showcasing its treatment of Christians under its control in Syria and Iraq.

Several Christians are interviewed in the film, and explained how they accepted “dhimmi” status upon themselves as an alternative to being killed by the jihadists.

Under Islamic law (sharia) dhimmi status is granted to Jews and Christians (“the people of the book”), who opt not to convert to Islam or die. It allows them to practice their religion but with several restrictions designed to humiliate them into recognizing the “superiority” of Muslims, and in addition to paying a special tax to Muslim authorities known as “jizya.”

In the video, ISIS claims its jizya tax amounts to four grams of gold for the rich, two grams for “average” people and one gram for the poor.

But the worst segment of the video came at the end, when two separate groups of black Christians are shown being frogmarched by masked gunmen, in carefully choreographed scenes bearing a chilling similarity to the execution of dozens of Egyptian Coptic Christians in Libya last year.

Like the Coptic Christian victims, one group is marched along a beach in Libya; the other group is filmed in a desert somewhere inland.

The captured men – most likely migrant workers – are introduced as “Worshippers of the cross belonging to the hostile Ethiopian Church,” before a masked terrorist speaking perfect English addresses the camera.

Repeatedly pointing his pistol at the camera, and speaking with what is possibly an Arab-American accent, he declares the impending spectacle will prove that “the Muslim blood that was shed under the hands of your religion is not cheap” – likely a reference to operations by Ethiopian forces against Al Shabaab Islamist terrorists in Somalia.

Speaking to the Christian world in general, he adds: “you won’t have safety, even in your dreams, until you embrace Islam.”

The video ends showing the kidnapped Christians executed in two groups, apparently in different parts of the country. While one line of captives is mowed down by gunfire, another group are seen screaming in pain and terror as the jihadists saw off their heads, their blood mixing with the sea waves.

  4. Twice as many UK jihadists as police thought, officials say

At least 1,600 Britons have travelled to the Syrian and Iraqi battlefields, more than double the number previously reported, foreign intelligence officials have claimed.

About 500 of these have returned to the UK, three well-placed foreign intelligence officials have told The Sunday Times.

“We believe that even 1,600 is a very conservative estimate because by the time we started picking up on the scale of [the] problem, a lot of the people had slipped through the gates,” said one official. “And we’re still seeing at least about five people leaving the UK for Syria and Iraq every week — and that’s not to count the ones we don’t know about.”

It is understood these include at least 100 “jihadist brides” who are in Syria to marry fighters. There is some evidence entire families have joined Isis

  5. Der Spiegel – The Terror Strategist: Secret Files Reveal the Structure of Islamic State

[…]when the architect of the Islamic State died, he left something behind that he had intended to keep strictly confidential: the blueprint for this state. It is a folder full of handwritten organizational charts, lists and schedules, which describe how a country can be gradually subjugated. SPIEGEL has gained exclusive access to the 31 pages, some consisting of several pages pasted together. They reveal a multilayered composition and directives for action, some already tested and others newly devised for the anarchical situation in Syria’s rebel-held territories. In a sense, the documents are the source code of the most successful terrorist army in recent history.

  6. Morocco Sent Bouteflika Flowers, Chocolate When He Was in Paris Hospital

Rabat- During his stay at the Val de Grace Hospital in Paris, France, between April and July 2013, the Moroccan government sent Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika a bouquet of flowers and three trays of cookies and chocolate on a daily basis.

According to the latest edition of the weekly Jeune Afrique, as cited by Bladi, the Embassy of Morocco in France also sent Bouteflika chocolate boxes and ready-made meals throughout the 90 days he spent at the Parisian hospital.

The cookies were prepared by a private caterer and sent from Rabat by air, according to the same source.

The Moroccan officials’ generosity may come as a surprise to those familiar with the relations between Morocco and Algeria. For the past several decades, the relationship between Rabat and Algiers has been tense due to disagreements over the so-called Western Sahara, an area that Morocco reintegrated into its sovereign territory after the end of Spanish colonialism in 1975.

Ever since Morocco retook control of its southern provinces, Algeria has been a staunch supporter of the Polisario, a separatist movement that claims to represent the native Sahrawis and seeks to establish an independent state in the territory.

The conflict has become a point of contention between the two countries, dooming any attempts to normalize relations.

The border between the two neighbors has been closed since 1994. Despite Morocco’s many attempts to move beyond the conflict and reopen the borders, the Algerian government insists on its position that any improvement of relations is contingent on the settlement of the Sahara conflict.

  7. US alienation leading to Israeli-Chinese renaissance

Analysis: Relationship between Jerusalem and Beijing is blooming due to China’s growing self-confidence, its understanding that battle against Israel is no longer a uniting factor in Muslim world, and its desire to maintain close ties with a regional power whose crisis with Washington is deepening.

A renewed affair has been developing for the past three years between Israel and China. About 10 years after their relationship experienced a crisis following an American demand that Israel cut its security ties with China, Beijing has begun working to renew the close relations between the two countries.

  8. The Armenian Genocide Was Also a Jihad

Talaat Pasha, the powerful Ottoman interior minister during World War I, certainly didn’t disguise his objective. “The Government … has decided to destroy completely all the indicated [Armenians] persons living in Turkey,” he brusquely reminded officials in Aleppo in a September 1915 dispatch. “An end must be put to their existence … and no regard must be paid to either age or sex, or to conscientious scruples.”

US Ambassador Henry Morgenthau, flooded with accounts of the torture, death marches, and butchery being inflicted on the Armenians, remonstrated with Talaat to no avail. “It is no use for you to argue,” Morgenthau was told. “We have already disposed of three quarters of the Armenians…. The hatred between the Turks and Armenians is now so intense that we have got to finish them. If we don’t, they will plan their revenge…. We will not have the Armenians anywhere in Anatolia.”

If some of them survived, it wasn’t for lack of effort by the killers. Of the roughly 2 million Armenians living in the country in 1914, 90 percent were gone by 1918. The death toll was well over one million; innumerable others fled for their lives. To read eyewitness descriptions of the ghastly cruelties the Armenian Christians were made to suffer a century ago is to be reminded that the jihadist savagery of ISIS and al-Qaeda is not an innovation.

That key fact is one the pope, to his credit, refuses to downplay: Armenians were victims not only of genocide, but also of jihad. In imploring his listeners on Sunday to hear the “muffled and forgotten cry” of endangered Christians who today are “ruthlessly put to death — decapitated, crucified, burned alive — or forced to leave their homeland,” Francis was reminding the world that the price of irresolution in the face of determined Islamist violence is as steep as ever.

The jihadists of 1915 murdered “bishops and priests, religious women and men, the elderly, and even defenseless children and the infirm.” The world knew what was happening; the grisly details were extensively reported at the time. Just as they are now, and with as little effect.

  9. Big tobacco quietly battling religious opposition to smoking in key Muslim markets: Canadian study

The tobacco industry has been embroiled for decades in a pitched battle to counter the Muslim opposition to smoking, recruiting sympathetic Islamic scholars and crafting theological arguments to defend the habit, a new, Canadian-co-authored study suggests.

Those efforts included approaching Muslim experts at McGill University, and portraying the religious objections as a form of extremism — at odds with freedom and modernism generally, the analysis of years of industry documents reveals.

With smoking on the decline in the West, Muslim countries in the Middle East and Asia are among the most important markets for the sector, notes Kelley Lee, a global health-policy expert at Vancouver’s Simon Fraser University and one of the authors of the study.

Yet for at least three decades, companies have fretted about the threat posed by Muslim leaders in those places, memos and reports unearthed by Prof. Lee and her colleagues indicate. A 1996 British American Tobacco (BAT) document, for instance, describes the “Islamic threat,” including rising fundamentalism, as a real danger to the industry.

“This amounts to us having to prepare to fight a hurricane,” the memo from the industry giant warns.

A presentation the researchers discovered from an industry-linked law firm suggested a theological counter to such pressures. The Qur’an does not actually prohibit use of tobacco and “making rules beyond what Allah has allowed is a sin in itself,” the firm advised its industry clients.

  10. Mali crisis: Attack on UN convoy kills two (BBC, Apr 18, 2015)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-32366032

“A United Nations supply convoy has been attacked near the city of Gao in northern Mali, with two civilian drivers killed. The attack took place about 15km (9 miles) west of the city late on Friday, the UN Mission in Mali said.

The UN took over security after French-led forces intervened to retake northern cities from Islamist militants in 2013. But at least 35 UN troops have been killed and 140 wounded since July 2013.

The al-Qaeda-linked militants fled into the Sahara desert after the French intervention and have since carried out suicide bombings and hit-and-run attacks on the UN troops.

The UN mission (Minusma) said that in the latest attack gunmen stopped the convoy and “coldly killed two of the drivers” before setting the trucks on fire….”

Yemen Shiite Rebel Leader Vows Not to Surrender Amid Strikes (abcnews, Apr 19, 2015)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/saudis-commit-fund-aid-appeal-yemen-30424311

“A Shiite rebel leader in Yemen vowed to not surrender Sunday amid Saudi-led airstrikes in a rambling speech that rejected U.N. efforts to halt violence there, even as the political party of the country’s former leader welcomed international efforts for a cease-fire.

The speech by rebel leader Abdul-Malek al-Houthi, his first since the Saudi campaign began, offered signs of cracks appearing in his alliance with Yemen’s one-time President Ali Abdullah Saleh. However, his speech signaled no sign of his rebels backing down from their offensive after earlier seizing the capital, Sanaa, and forcing President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi into exile.

“The great Yemeni people will never surrender and never be subjugated,” al-Houthi said…”

  12. Report: Kuwait Discovers 4 New Oil Fields in Kingdom (abcnews, Apr 19, 2015)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/report-kuwait-discovers-oil-fields-kingdom-30431559

“Kuwait’s state news agency says the state-run Kuwait Oil Co. has discovered four new oil fields.

The Kuwait News Agency quoted KOC’s CEO Hashim Hashim on Sunday as saying that the discovery of these fields will “fortify Kuwait’s standing as an international producer of oil.”

Hashim said that the discovery is the culmination of a two-year oil exploration mission. He noted that one of the reservoirs contains light crude oil, the first such reservoir in Kuwait.

He told KUNA that this will increase Kuwait’s oil reserves and further strengthen its position among the world’s top exporters of oil.

There was no information on the size of the fields in the north and west of the OPEC nation.”
