2. The Telegraph ; Andreas Lubitz planned spectacular gesture that would go down in history, claims ex-girlfriend

Airbus crash pilot Andreas Lubitz had been planning a spectacular gesture to make everyone “remember” who he was, it was claimed on Friday night.

An ex-girlfriend of the Germanwings pilot who crashed his plane in the French Alps, killing all 149 others on board, described him as “tormented” and able to hide secrets.

Maria, 26 (not her real name), told Bild newspaper that when she heard about the crash she remembered that he had said he was going do something “that would change the system” and “make everyone remember” him.

She added: “It didn’t make sense at the time but now it all does.”

Maria, who is thought to have met Lubitz at work, said he would wake up at night screaming in terror: “We’re going down.”

I would like to add a note of my own on the jet which we can all agree was deliberately brought down by the co-pilot.

Lets say for the sake of argument that he was not a muslim.

The media reaction has been horror, fascination, curiosity and a desperate need to know the motive for this action. This should illustrate something very important about us as a people and even our media, including the parts of the media desperately trying to cover up the nature of islam and worse, act on policies that islam must always be written about as if it was benign and ‘the victim.’

Notice how it is clear in all articles that what this man did was anathema. It was an exception. A crime. Had he done it for jihad, which still may be the case, it would be no surprise to anyone.

The point is that human nature is what it is and each culture or religion is a system which tries to make it all work in some way by emphasizing some aspects of our nature as virtues and others we suppress as sins or crimes or monstrosities. Islam is an inversion of Western culture whether its Judeo-Christian or secular humanist or game theory based logic with an axiom of reduction of suffering and maximizing of freedoms. Islam takes inflicting suffering and makes it a virtue. It calls the murder of other people martyrdom as opposed to our notions, which are the sacrifice of the selves for others.

In other words, islam can be seen for what it is even in the reactions we have to the extremely rare case of a non-muslim committing an atrocious act like this. We know this is not how we think or behave. That it is horrifying to us. We do not celebrate this.

It is also very important to note that some jihadi pages have claimed this man is a hero of islam. What a magnificent example of the raw depravity of that system of living that they would claim as their own with pride and joy someone who is likely not even a member of their cult, but because he committed an atrocity of such magnitude by murdering over a hundred people and from a position of trust, perhaps the worst kind of crime in non-islamic culture, that they would make him an honorary muslim in their eyes.

Few have taken notice of this. But this is a great time for a moment of sober reflection by the media. Often by the mirror image can we better know a thing. The fact that The Islamic State has taken credit for this action is not evidence that he was a muslim by any stretch. But it is evidence that Islam feels this was a great and noble act.

When sunnis destroy and kill shiias, we do not delight in it and say, ‘what a great hero for the West’ even if there is some schadenfreude in it. More typically we would know that this is simply more classical and orthodox islamic behaviour and an example of the reasons we oppose it.

The sheer contrast between how the two sides are reporting on this action is every bit as significant in terms of what it is we wish people to understand about islamic values and the threat they present as if the copilot turns out to be muslim and had waged an act of islamic jihad against the infidel. Perhaps more so. Just as it is that the very first thing everyone asked when this action happened and before we knew anything at all beyond that an aircraft had crashed and there had been some anomalous behaviour by the plane before it went down, is was this an act of islamic jihad? This has a significance all its own. Even the apologists and water carriers were bracing themselves for the likelihood that it was.

Lastly one could argue that islamic actions of mass horror have infected the Western world  now. These kinds of things did not used to happen, no matter how hurt a man was over a rejection from a woman. He may injure himself. He may jon the French Foreign Legion. Any number of extreme actions right up to suicide but I do not recall a hurt lover killing large numbers of strangers before Islam normalized this kind of event. It was utterly antithetical to all our values and never acceptable in any of our literature. Unthinkable. So again, this action provides a great deal of useful information about the effects of, and values of islam and its effects on our civilization.

  1. Enlightening essay, and good idea focusing on reactions to and reporting of the mass murder instead of on the co-pilot’s motivations for it. Which we may never learn, whether because his reasons are inscrutable or undiscoverable or because critical evidence has already been tampered with or destroyed. But as your essays shows, there is much of significance to consider that does not depend on knowing why Lubitz acted as he did.

    • Excellent ‘mini’ essay, Eeyor that i’m sure takes a heavy investment of your time.

The victims of the Intimidation of Islam become self-harming and they too mimic the ways of Muhammad – because how can you reach out and communicate with Muslims that you have become traumatized and their bitch and can’t stand it anymore? You can’t walk into a Mosque for The Friday Rant and eliminate the very audience you wanted to apologize and really feel your anger and pain, so that in their dawning comprehension they will all weep for you in self-recrimination. They won’t, unless they are in the very cockpit with you in a copy-cat of doing what you would be doing, so that they first cheer and open wide their hearts shouting repeated gratitude to Allah and for the Ummah, imaging themselves sat in your seat salivating for virgins, and then discover YOU, it was YOU killing innocent children and adults who did not live by the ego, YOU who are equal and now made superior in their minds to do what Allah commands but you can do by your own free will making you equal with their God, taking on that meme-barrier that infected from Muslim to human, now incubated for a new virus to become spores, reversing and turning back that same path and crossing through the corpus collosum to paralyse the host.

A Gay Day to be remembered. In its ferocity of rage and cold inhumane detachment.

Circumcising all Muslims therefore, by FGM (Finally Ghosting Muhammad), should therefore be a World Health priority, because their casual mind-screw and opportunism spreads this disease into those whose imune systems are already weakened by Socialism and TBLU.

  2. 7/ “There are two things over which we do not negotiate: our faith, and our security.”

Said with a certain menace, I thought. But it must sound admirable in its way to a lot of Americans (and Westerners generally) who still do not understand what the Saudi ambassador’s faith really is or what Saudi non-negotiation of it actually entails, but think being strong in one’s faith is kind of a good thing. Even if certain aspects of the Saudi version of Islam, their misunderstanding of it, are somewhat unpalatable, the chopping and flogging and niqabs and women not driving and so on. Because such aberrations cannot be intrinsic to true Islam, since true Islam is just like any other faith.

People of faith can feel reassured that the Saudis are also people of faith, while people of secular faiths can be relieved that at least the Saudis don’t practice Christianity, the evil faith. Christianity is the faith that is somehow not like the other faiths, the non-evil faiths, even though for most of those people it is the template, the pattern, what they think of when they think of people having faith. But what they think of the Saudi ambassador having is a non-evil version of Christianity, a religion of true tolerance and peace. Though the ambassador has an imperfect understanding of that faith.

    • The Christian teachings terrify the Left and Right because it addresses the condition of the soul. The Christian Faith has matronly Bishops and pedohile Priests. Their Souls are sealed to be lifted into Heaven on the Last Day. They live by the meme “some things are best left unsaid.” Move along, nothing to see here.

  3. For me, the difference between motives of this co-pilot (I will refuse to use his identity given his desire for infamy) are simple.

If his motivations were JIM/SJS related, alarms necessarily reach “code red” because historic evidence proves anticipation of increasing number of similar events are highly likely given its doctrinal sanction in combination with the current assinine and suicidal climate shielding this doctrine from appropriate repercussions.

If unrelated, then the event was an anomaly which demands further exploration to immediately address any vulnerabilities to avoid a much less likely repeat.

    • That’s why they paid 60% of the expenses for Pakistan’s development of nukes. Probably more, but there’s documentation for only 60%. And there’s contractual language that binds the Pakistani program to Saudi potential need for same.

      Not that contracts mean anything.

  4. Yesterday I posted a Front Page Magazine article with the video of Lt. Col. Peters speech about what is happening in the Middle East, it is worth peoples time to watch the 40+ minute video. The main thrust of the speech is that while Europe is busy committing suicide we are seeing the Persian Empire and the Caliphate being reformed and that for the first time since the Tang dynasty (I think that is the period) China is looking outside its borders. This thought provoking article should be watched.

  5. SYRIA – Islamist fighters control Syrian city of Idlib

    – Islamist groups including al Qaeda’s Nusra Front have seized the Syrian city of Idlib for the first time since the conflict in the country began, fighters and a monitoring group said on Saturday.

By taking Idlib, the capital of a northwestern province of the same name, the insurgents now control a second province after Raqqa, a stronghold of the Islamic State group and target of U.S.-led air strikes.

  6. Geert Wilders faces 136 compensation claims for anti-Moroccan remarks

The Netherlands Public Prosecutor summoned thefar-right Dutch politician Geert Wilders for questioning for charges of insulting and inciting discrimination against Moroccans.

According to the same source, the complainants at the meeting at the Hague say, “they were damaged when Wilders made his discriminatory remarks.”

“Lawyers are advising them to ask for no more than €250 in each case. However, this would amount to a total claim of €30,000,” the same source added.

The Netherland’s Public Prosecutor previously summoned Wilders, who has lived for many years under 24-hour police protection following previousAnti-Islamic remarks, for questioning in October 2014.

After “the Prosecution conducted extensive legal analysis of the remarks made,” they arrived atthe conclusion that the remarks constitute the suspicion of a criminal offense.
Known for his anti-immigration and anti-Muslim populism, Wilders has already been prosecuted for similar offenses.

In 2007, Wilders was sued for calling Islam a fascist ideology, but the judge ruled that criticizing a religion was not the same as racism, and acquitted him in June 2011.

  7. Saudi Arabia restores ambassador to Sweden following diplomatic dispute

“We can … welcome the Saudi ambassador back to Sweden (and) we can clear up the misunderstanding that we have insulted the religion of Islam,” Wallstroem added.

The announcement followed a visit to Riyadh by Swedish government envoy Bjoern von Sydow on Friday, where he met with Saudi Arabia’s King Salman.

According to Swedish news agency TT, von Sydow relayed messages from Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf and Prime Minister Stefan Loefven during the meeting.

Lofen is reported to have apologized for comments which offended the kingdom but added that he hoped Saudi Arabia would understand Sweden’s honest concerns regarding human rights.

[…]Wallstroem said her comments — including calling Saudi Arabia’s whipping of dissident blogger Raif Badawi in January “medieval” — were never directed against Islam for which she had “the greatest respect”.

  9. Official: Al-Shabab Siege at Somali Hotel Ends, 24 Dead (abcnews, March 28, 2015)

“Blood spattered utensils, bullet-pocked walls and overturned chairs mark the reception area of a prominent hotel in the Somali capital following an attack by Islamic extremists that killed at least 24, including six attackers.

Somali special forces stood over three bloodied bodies of the alleged attackers after officials declared they have full control of the Maka Al-Mukarramah Hotel Saturday, more than 12 hours after gunmen, believed to be six in number, from the Islamic rebel group al-Shabab stormed into the hotel.

The gunfire has stopped and security agents have gone through the whole building, said senior police officer Capt. Mohamed Hussein. He had earlier said the gunmen were believed to have occupied the third and fourth floors of the hotel in the capital Mogadishu.

“The operation has ended. We have taken full control of the hotel,” Hussein said.

Eighteen people were killed in the attack, including one solider, said Hussein. At least 28 were wounded, according to Hussein Ali, an official of Mogadishu’s ambulance service.

Officials claimed to have killed six attackers but only displayed the bodies of three and did not give the location of the bodies of the other attackers….”

  11. To Stop Iran’s Bomb, Bomb Iran

[…]Even absent palpable proof, like a nuclear test, Iran’s steady progress toward nuclear weapons has long been evident. Now the arms race has begun: Neighboring countries are moving forward, driven by fears that Mr. Obama’s diplomacy is fostering a nuclear Iran. Saudi Arabia, keystone of the oil-producing monarchies, has long been expected to move first. No way would the Sunni Saudis allow the Shiite Persians to outpace them in the quest for dominance within Islam and Middle Eastern geopolitical hegemony. Because of reports of early Saudi funding, analysts have long believed that Saudi Arabia has an option to obtain nuclear weapons from Pakistan, allowing it to become a nuclear-weapons state overnight. Egypt and Turkey, both with imperial legacies and modern aspirations, and similarly distrustful of Tehran, would be right behind.[…]
