1. The Iranian regime, properly called, “The Islamic Republic of Iran” (Obama is the only US leader ever to call it that) is applying genuine islamic principles to fight the Islamic State, which is using the same principles to fight them. This video is graphic

(Shabnam also inform us from a reliable source that million copies of Khamenei’s ” Letter to World Youth” were distributed in India by local Hezbollah, inviting Indians to convert to Shi’ism. Article on letter here)

2. Sunni muslims destroy stuff they identify with “polytheists” (which could be Shiia muslims or Catholics or whoever they pretend are polytheists)

3. Michael Welner does quite a good interview on the motivations of Islam, the Islamic State and people who bugger off to go join it. He clearly gets it although he comes at it from the POV of a psychiatrist, which I believe he is)

4. Carleton University is having its ‘muslim awareness week’ this week. Here is the Facebook page. For those near the university that want to ask questions about Islam from an organization tied to pretty much every atrocity islam has perpetrated in North America in one way or another for the past good long time, this is your chance.

The focus this week is on ‘mercy’. What they likely won’t say, is that in islam, mercy means that their god won’t screw you over as badly as he could, which is more awful than you can imagine.. All scales start at zero and work downwards from there in islam.

5. Meanwhile in Iraq, Islamic State launches an attack in the green of night

(Looks like someone gave them night vision tech)

6. UK to announce results of Muslim Brotherhood Review ‘as soon as possible’

The UK government plans to release the long-awaited conclusions of its review of the Muslim Brotherhood “as soon as possible,” the UK Home Office has told Ahram Online.

The review’s conclusions are to be made public “alongside the government’s new counter-extremism strategy,” a Home Office spokeswoman has confirmed.

In April last year, UK prime minister David Cameron ordered an internal government review into the Muslim Brotherhood.

The objective was to review the “philosophy, activities, impact and influence on UK national interests, at home and abroad, of the Muslim Brotherhood and of government policy towards the organisation.”

It took the review team, led by Sir John Jenkins, former British ambassador to Saudi Arabia, until July 2014 to finish its work.

But, about eight months later, the government still has not released the review’s final report.

The government has informed the House of Commons [the UK parliament] that concerned departments are considering “broader policy questions emerging from the review.”

7. Finnish MPs threatened by jihadi who left for Islamic State. He specified a few MPs who are known to be resistant to islamic penetration. The threats are segments of koran, 9:5 and 9:29

8. Islamic scholars in Indonesia push for death penalty for sex abuse and gay and lesbian ‘crimes’

9. Obama Removes Iran from Terror List, Praises it for Fighting Terrorism

An annual report delivered recently to the US Senate by James Clapper, the director of National Intelligence, removed Iran and Hezbollah from its list of terrorism threats, after years in which they featured in similar reports

In describing Iran’s regional role, the report noted the Islamic Republic’s “intentions to dampen sectarianism, build responsive partners, and deescalate tensions with Saudi Arabia,” but cautioned that “Iranian leaders—particularly within the security services—are pursuing policies with negative secondary consequences for regional stability and potentially for Iran.

Thank you Shabnam, M., Don C. Tundra T., Richard, and many people who are not inkisted because I built up a 10 item post starting yesterday afternoon and off and on through the night and hit publish and for the second time the whole post vanished along with the drafts of it and it was lost. But thank you for sending in the links, I will try and find them again for this post. There is a story about a guy who had what looks like a panic attack on an aircraft and was removed from it. Personally I don’t think there is anything there but here is the video for anyone who wants to see it. Also, here is an interesting comment that was left under this post in a Swiss Counter-Jihad blog. I will post the comment in French. Perhaps someone can offer a good translation in the comments.

Mortels.

  1. Saudi Arabia: No bargaining on Islamic rules

The Saudi Council of Ministers on Monday reemphasized that the fundamentals of Islam being followed by about 1.5 billion Muslims around the world are not subject to any bargaining.

The weekly session of the Cabinet, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman at Al-Yamamah Palace here, also underscored that the Islamic Shariah guarantees fair equality between men and women and it allows no discrimination against women.

The Cabinet made the remarks in the backdrop of the recent statement by the Swedish foreign minister offending the Kingdom and its Shariah-based judicial system.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency following the session, Minister of Culture and Information Adel Al-Turaifi said the Cabinet reiterated its condemnation of the Swedish minister’s statement.

It said the statement showed the Swedish minister’s ignorance about the remarkable progress achieved by the Kingdom on all fronts, especially the excellent position being enjoyed by women in various fields, including education, science, health, economy and commerce.

“Guaranteeing the independence of judicial authority is the core principle with regard to protecting and strengthening human rights.

The Kingdom’s judicial system, based on Shariah, guarantees total justice to all. Everybody is equal before the law,” the Cabinet said.

Similarly, the freedom of expression has also been guaranteed to all within the framework of Shariah, the Cabinet said, asserting that incorrect allegations should not be raised against personal rights issues of individuals out of judicial context.

Refuting allegations of discrimination between the rights of men and women, the Cabinet reiterated that the Kingdom’s Basic Law of Governance is based on Shariah.

Its Article 8 clearly stipulates that governance would be on the basis of justice and equality. “Saudi women, while maintaining their Islamic and Arab identity, have made concrete achievements in various fields.

“They hold key posts in both the government and private sectors. They actively participate in the Shoura Council, where their representation is higher than women’s representation in parliaments in other countries.”

The Cabinet also emphasized that harming the judicial system as well as the social and cultural patterns simply because of their difference with the pattern prevailing in other countries is contrary to the principles of the international community that call for respecting religions as well as social and cultural diversity.

The Cabinet also noted that Islamic principles cannot be misused to serve domestic political purposes in contravention to the diplomatic norms and cordial relations among nations.

The Kingdom hopes that it should not be forced into reviewing its ties with Sweden.

  2. JAPAN – TOKYO – Tachikawa teen ‘inspired by Islamic State’ held for trying to kill goat

A teenager in the Tokyo suburb of Tachikawa, apparently inspired by online video footage of recent gruesome killings of Japanese nationals by the Islamic State extremists, was arrested in February after attempting to kill a goat as “practice” for his plan to kill someone, police said.

According to sources at Tachikawa Police Station, the third-year junior high school student, whose name has been withheld because he is a minor, allegedly crept into a Tachikawa elementary school facility at about 1 a.m. Feb. 15 with the aim of killing a goat kept there.

The boy was arrested by a police officer patrolling the area who heard the goat screaming loudly in the shed where it was kept.

The suspect had a saw and a crowbar when he was caught, the police said.

“I decided to kill someone after viewing videos of the Islamic State, and I wanted to kill the goat kept there for practice,” the police quoted the teen as saying.

The access history on a personal computer at his home showed many instances of viewing websites related to the militant group, which had posted videos purportedly showing the beheadings of journalist Kenji Goto and Haruna Yukawa, a self-styled security contractor, in January.

The police said they believe the teen was inspired by the videos.

The boy is now under the care of the Tachikawa branch of the Tokyo Family Court, the police said.

  3. Here is the translation you asked for:

Distinguishing between an ideology and its vectors is not pertinent. No muslims means no Islam, however comprehensive the knowledge that those not of the muslim faith might acquire about Islam or its followers.

If we admit that Islam is at war with the rest of the world, we must have enough intellectual rigour to acknowledge that muslims are also our enemies. Unless we do so, we are helpless.

We must of course distinguish between armed jihadists, peaceful apologists, terrorists and water-bearers.But we will have no chance of winning or to even just survive in an acceptable manner if we do not make it adamantly clear that muslims, and we mean all muslims, even and especially those who condemn extremism, are our enemies, our mortal enemies.

  4. @ 9 – More evidence that Obama is a Shiite, he is showing the entire world which side he is on and it isn’t the side of civilization. The useful idiots will ignore his action just as they have ignored all of his other actions that have weakened the west and endangered civilization.
