  1. The interviewer said and I quote ‘are you a freedom of speech fundamentalist’?

Rather idiotic thing to say. Freedom of speech is like an on/off switch, you either have it or you haven’t; there is nothing in between.

    • Exactly. You either have free speech or you don’t.

BusinessInsider: Greece’s defence minister is threatening to ‘flood Europe with migrants’

Kammenos, who is a member of the Greek government’s junior coalition party Independent Greeks, said that “If Europe leaves us in the crisis, we will flood it with migrants, and even worse for Berlin if in that wave of millions of economic migrants there will be some jihadis of the Islamic State too,” according to the Italian newspaper La Repubblica.

He went on explaining that: “If they [the Eurogroup] strike us, we will strike them. We will give to migrants from everywhere the documents they need to travel in the Schengen area, so that the human wave could go straight to Berlin.”

    • At no time in the interview did they address immigration, which if not for the mass number of Muslims living among them, there would be no problem.

As for finding a “compromise,” like Mark Steyn has said, and I paraphrase, it’s like mixing dog poo with vanilla ice cream; any amount changes the flavour for the worse.

Too bad about the ‘dystopian distortion of the moderate Islam of honest, peaceful, law-abiding Muslims we stand with in solidarity’ nonsense, but at least he calls it ‘armed jihad.’

    • Sure!
That he routinely compromises Israel is a given, but his disclosures about Jordan’s revenge bombings on the IS were unforgivable. So too, he blew classified info about Sisi’s reprisal raids in Libya.

It’s not just our allies, it’s how we look in the entire Arab world. We’re kafirs who are not trustworthy. That’s pretty ugly.

Beneath whose awful hand we hold
Dominion over palm and pine —
Lord God of Hosts, be with us yet,
Lest we forget — lest we forget!

The tumult and the shouting dies —
The Captains and the Kings depart —
          Still stands Thine ancient sacrifice,
An humble and a contrite heart.

    1. Point to note that the most fanatic Mulims live in the UK, while hating the West. Probably the bum is on Benefits.

    2. Note also the arrogance of the sheikh; he cnsiders himself far superior in every way to a Muslim woman, as it is allah ordained.

The same arrogance was displayed when he got into a dialogue with perfectchild.

    • DP111, The sheikh’s a bum, all right.

Halima is a female name, curiously. I never decided whether that was actually a woman or a guy in a burka.

      What’s our excuse?
—Don’t get me wrong, there’s [still] a world of difference between Black Hats and White Hats (even kinda dirty-white).

I just can’t stop worrying about the harm the enemy media are doing us right here in the USA. Where the enemy holds the fort and is deeply entrenched in every critical position.

They’ve hooked many – most? – Americans on virulent PC mythology. Though our body remains strong enough to fight off this bug, we’ll surely suffer as we do.

Russian racist jokes are revolting, but the Eric Holder-gang cultivates racism as a blunt instrument. Watch that play out on the big screen this summer.

Russians are regaled with fabulous conspiracy stories. Disinterred James Bond, pumped up with steroids and speedballs. Enough circus and vodka to bury us. We will bury you! At last. Or at least our athletic shoe exports.

The White House buried cloak, dagger, and flag in Benghazi. This is a genuine conspiracy of historic proportions. Yet it dribbles out, barely denting the merchandise of the next election cycle. Long-winded sagas tend to stifle themselves these days.

      • I know what you mean, this summer and the next one are going to be very dangerous in the big cities with the small towns becoming more dangerous. The race war will heat up but I don’t know if anyone besides the blacks are ready to start fighting yet.

The danger from the illegal immigration and our lack of strength to protect ourselves and our allies are creating the perfect climate for a major war that will make WWI and II look small. Feds Have Social Security Numbers for 6.5 Million 112 Year Olds on File (freebeacon, March 9, 2015)
    http://freebeacon.com/issues/feds-have-social-security-numbers-for-6-5-million-112-year-olds-on-file/

“The Social Security Administration (SSA) has 6.5 million Social Security Numbers for 112 year olds on file, allowing for “thousands of instances of potential identity theft” or fraud, the Office of Inspector General (OIG) warns.

Even though there are only roughly 35 people aged 112 years or older living worldwide, the SSA has millions of active SSNs for supercentenarians on its Numident, which can be used by others to receive benefits.

“In September 2013, a New York resident, believed to be the world’s oldest living man, died at age 112,” the OIG said in a report released last week. “According to the Gerontology Research Group, as of October 2013, only 35 known living individuals worldwide had reached age 112.”

“We matched the 6.5 million SSNs against SSA’s [Earnings Suspense File] ESF and E-Verify systems and identified thousands of instances of potential identity theft or other fraud,” they said.

Nearly 70,000 of those SSNs were used to report $3.1 billion in wages between 2006 and 2011…..”

  6. Report: Jordanian Pilot Burned by IS Downed by Friendly Fire (freebeacon, March 9, 2015)
    http://freebeacon.com/national-security/jordanian-pilot-burned-by-islamic-state-shot-down-by-uae-warplanes/

“The Jordanian fighter pilot burned to death by Islamic State militants in Syria two months ago was not shot down by anti-aircraft fire, Yediot Achronot reported Sunday, but by a missile mistakenly fired by United Arab Emirates warplanes flying cover.

Commanding the UAE flight was the first and only female combat pilot, Major Mariam al-Mansouri, who was grounded after the incident.

Smadar Peri, an Israeli reporter with extensive contacts in Jordan, attributed the story to Safi al-Kasabeh, father of the downed pilot, Moaz al-Kasabeh. A day after being briefed on the incident by the Jordanian chief of staff, she wrote, the father told local reporters, “Moaz was downed by friendly fire”. The father noted that the four Jordanian F-16s participating in the attack on Raqqa, the Islamic State’s de facto capital in northern Syria, were part of a formation that included UAE warplanes, and that Maj. Mansouri was in overall command….”

    http://news.yahoo.com/chad-niger-troops-eject-boko-haram-nigerian-towns-133035780.html

“About ten Chadian soldiers died in fighting to free two towns in northern Nigeria previously held by Boko Haram, the first gains against the militants made in a joint offensive launched with Niger at the weekend, military sources said on Monday.

About 30 Nigerien and Chadian soldiers were wounded in clashes over Malam Fatouri and Damasak, a day after thousands of troops crossed the border to retake areas held by the Sunni Islamist group, whose insurgency has forced Nigeria to delay an election and neighbours to mobilise their armies.

A Chadian officer, who asked not to be named, said about ten Chadian soldiers were killed and 20 wounded in fighting to liberate the towns. There was no official comment from Chad’s army.

“We have kicked the enemy out of these areas and they are now under our control,” one of the Niger military sources said….”

“Palestinian security forces in the West Bank arrested dozens of members of the Islamist movement Hamas on Monday, sources on both sides said.

The Palestinian Authority (PA), which has its headquarters in Ramallah, has regularly detained Hamas members, including MPs, over the past few years.

But the ongoing crackdown is a sign of the failure of a nearly year-old unity deal between Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, and the rival Fatah which dominates the PA….”

  9. Islamic State infighting in Syria kills nine: monitor (yahoo/reuters, March 9, 2015)
    http://news.yahoo.com/islamic-state-infighting-syria-kills-nine-monitor-160341067.html

“At least nine members of Islamic State were killed during infighting in northwestern Syria after some of them tried to flee over the Turkish border, a group monitoring the conflict said on Monday.

The fighters clashed on Saturday near the town of al-Bab, 30 km (20 miles) south of the Turkish frontier, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. Five of the escapees and four of those trying to prevent them were killed.

Those trying to escape included one Tunisian and nine European fighters, the Observatory’s Rami Abdulrahman said, adding it was not clear exactly which members of that group had been killed.

It is not the first time that Islamic State, which controls tracts of Syria and Iraq, has killed its own members. The Observatory reported in December that the group had killed more than 120 of its fighters in two months, most of them foreigners trying to return home.

The fighting on Saturday erupted when 10 Islamic State combatants broke out of a prison run by the group. They had tried to escape Syria previously and had been jailed, Abdulrahman said, citing sources on the ground.

The five escapees who were not killed were recaptured by the group, the Observatory said….”

  10. IS executes 20 opponents in northern Iraq: officials (yahoo/afp, March 9, 2015)
    http://news.yahoo.com/executes-20-opponents-northern-iraq-officials-001206643.html

“The Islamic State jihadist group executed 20 people who wanted to fight against them in the northern Iraqi province of Kirkuk, officials said on Monday.

The killings of the men, who wanted to join anti-IS paramilitary forces known as Popular Mobilisation units, took place in the town of Hawijah, a police intelligence officer and two local officials said.

The executions could not be independently confirmed, but a gruesome series of photos posted online and shared on social media are evidence that they took place.

The photos show the bodies of more than a dozen different men strung by their feet from light poles, what appears to be a communications or electricity tower, and under a massive sign featuring the IS flag and name.

Captions under the photos said the men were members of the Popular Mobilisation units and used a derogatory term that could either refer to the units’ Shiite leadership, or indicate that the men were believed to be Shiites….”

“Saudi Arabia on Monday beheaded a Filipino convicted of murdering his boss, bringing to 40 the number of executions this year.

In just over two months, Saudi Arabia has beheaded almost half the number of foreigners and Saudis executed during all of 2014, according to AFP tallies.

Joven Esteva was found guilty of stabbing the Saudi in the chest in 2007.

“The perpetrator had worked as a driver for him,” an interior ministry statement carried by the official Saudi Press Agency said.

Authorities carried out the sentence against Esteva in Riyadh, adding to what Amnesty International calls an unprecedented pace of executions in the kingdom this year…”

  12. Libya violence: Foreign oil workers ‘kidnapped’ (BBC, March 9, 2015)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-31802393

“Islamic State (IS) militants are said to have kidnapped nine foreign oil workers in a raid in Libya, when they reportedly beheaded eight guards.

Four Filipinos, an Austrian, a Bangladeshi, a Czech and a Ghanaian were taken with an unidentified ninth foreigner, Austrian officials say.

The foreign ministry in Vienna said IS had attacked the al-Ghani oil field.

A Libyan army spokesman told the BBC the field 700km (440 miles) south-east of Tripoli had been attacked on Friday.

One oil worker died of a heart attack after seeing the beheadings, he added.

The foreigners were working for oilfield management company Value Added Oilfield Services (VAOS) at the field.

VAOS said it did not know which militants had carried out the attack or where the oil workers had been taken.

It insisted that none of its employees had “died or were physically harmed in the attack”.”

    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-31797834

“A Cairo schoolboy has died after being severely beaten by his teacher, Egypt’s education ministry has said.

The 12-year-old died on Sunday “after being beaten by a teacher the previous day”, a ministry statement said.

It said an “urgent inquiry” had been launched into the circumstances of the boy’s death and the teacher had been suspended by the school.

Local reports, which named the boy as Islam Sharif, said he was beaten for not doing his homework.

He had head injuries and suffered a brain haemorrhage, forensics department chief Hisham Abdel Hamid told the AFP news agency.

The teacher said he had “no intention to kill him but the beating was part of discipline”, state-run newspaper Al-Ahram Al-Masa’i reported…”

“French police have detained four people over the Islamist attacks in Paris on a satirical magazine and a Jewish supermarket in which 17 people died.

A woman police officer and three others are believed to have had connections with Amedy Coulibaly, who was killed by police during the supermarket siege.

A suspect named as Amar has been in custody since January on drugs charges.

But investigators have used his phone data to place him not far from the supermarket just before the attack.

They think that Amar, said to have been close to Coulibaly, may have been watching the target.

All four suspects were placed under formal investigation on Monday….”

  15. Iraqi Kurdish Peshmerga target Islamic State in Kirkuk (BBC, March 9, 2015)

“Iraqi Kurdish Peshmerga forces, backed by US air strikes, have launched an offensive against Islamic State (IS) militants in oil-rich Kirkuk province.

The Peshmerga reportedly began advancing along a frontline south-west of the provincial capital on Monday.

Their hold over Kirkuk – consolidated when Iraq’s army fled an IS advance last summer – has come under fresh attack from IS this year.

IS has also sent fighters to repel an Iraqi assault on the city of Tikrit.

Iraqi troops and Shia militias are attempting to drive IS jihadists from Tikrit, the Sunni Arab hometown of former dictator Saddam Hussein.

The BBC has learnt that militants from Mosul, the largest city under IS control in Iraq, have been diverted to fend off the assault on Tikrit….”

“At least 14 people have been killed in US-led coalition air strikes on an oil refinery in northern Syria run by Islamic State (IS), activists say.

Refinery workers and jihadist militants were among those who died in the raid on the facility outside Tal Abyad.

One activist group posted a video purportedly showing a fireball rising into the night sky after the attack.

Captured refineries and oil fields have played a key role in fuelling Islamic State’s advance across Syria and Iraq.

Last year, the group may have earned as much as $100m (£66m) from the sale of oil and oil products to local smugglers who, in turn, sell them to the Syrian government and merchants in neighbouring countries.

However, US officials say the group’s ability to use oil as a source of revenue is now believed to be diminishing due to the air strikes….”
