  1. There was a reason dems didn’t want Netanyahu to deliver this speech that media would be required to cover and then puts dems on defense, links Isis to Iran, reminds viewers of why credibility in leadership matters. Netanyahu, even if not liked by progressives, has believability factor. He laid it out for low information types. Also puts issue of anti Israel in spotlight for democrats in next election.

    • regardless of whether MSM aired Netanyahu speech, they WILL air democrats defense of why they didn’t attend and the counter arguments on points that BIBI made, so either way, the speech gets spotlight and the IRAN DEAL becomes scrutinized. Dems didn’t play this wisely.

      • They haven’t played anything wisely since Nam ended, their entire playbook has been full of mistake after mistake, it is only when the MSM manages to lie about what is happening that they win elections. The public is getting wise to the Dem propaganda so they are trying to flood the nation with new voters (who can’t legally vote) so they can remain in power.

    • In exiting congressional chamber before Netanyahu, Pelosi took away the Jewish constituents she was hoping to retain by attending Israeli Prime Minister’s speech.
In seeing her actually attend after claiming she was going to be “ill disposed” I thought that she was a smarter politician than I had credited, but by storming out conspicuously, she ended up doing herself and her party more harm in the Anti-Semitic long run.

      • You have to love a stupid enemy, they have painted themselves into a corner over the last 6 years and are now upset when the little people reject them and their policies.

    • How typical of democrats to project their own childish behavior (snubbing our closest Allie) on to the only real adult leader we have witnessed in congress for a really long time. It is amazing how Liberals who are anything but liberal, how the party of “tolerance” will only tolerate their own, how progressives whose main goal is to to return America to non progressive communism, how so called emancipation oppressive policies keep people government dependent ….always claim to be the EXACT opposite of what the case is. They call BIBI childish. How in keeping with their pattern.

      • Not return, turn. The closest we have have come to communism is under Obama.

        • I meant “return” in the sense that America has been the miracle experiment, a nation of the exceptional, apart from the same oppressed regimes worldwide. and that this president’s quest is to return this nation to the communist flat line.

          • Thank you for the clarification.

Note the arrogance of the left who think they can make communism work when it has failed in every other attempt.

  2. Ebola: Liberia’s Johnson Sirleaf urges ‘Marshall Plan’ (BBC, March 3, 2015)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-31705594

“Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has called for a “Marshall Plan” for the Ebola-affected countries of West Africa.

She was referring to the massive US aid programme for Europe launched after World War Two.

Her comments came after Sierra Leone was immediately granted more than $80m (£52m) to help end the Ebola outbreak and recover from its effects.

The IMF has pledged a $187m financial aid package for Sierra Leone.

Nearly $5bn has been pledged internationally to the Ebola effort, but less than half of the help has materialised.

About 600 delegates from around the world met in Brussels on Tuesday to talk about Ebola and long-term plans to fight the disease.

Nearly 10,000 people have died in the outbreak, the vast majority in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

This meeting is not a donor pledging conference – it marks the beginning of a new conversation, whose objectives could be difficult to achieve.

It comes at a time when new cases of infection are significantly down…..”

  3. Fierce clashes rage around IS-held Iraqi city of Tikrit (BBC, March 3, 2015)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-31708996

“Fierce clashes are taking place around the Iraqi city of Tikrit, as soldiers and militiamen attack Islamic State positions in the centre, officials say.

Battles were reported in the suburb of al-Dour, the western al-Zuhur district, the northern area of Qadisiya, and near the Teaching Hospital in the south.

But the government advance has been slowed by roadside bombs planted by IS.

Iranian commanders are helping to co-ordinate the operation, which is not backed by US-led coalition air strikes.

Iraqi Air Force helicopters and warplanes have conducted strikes since the offensive was launched on Sunday, but it is unclear whether Iranian aircraft have also been involved.

A security source in the Samarra Operations Command in Salahuddin province told the BBC that the Iraqi Army personnel and members of the Popular Mobilisation force, made up of Iranian-backed Shia militia, were engaged in fierce battles on the outskirts of Tikrit on Tuesday…..”

  4. Iran rejects Obama nuclear call before Netanyahu speech (BBC, Mach 3, 2015)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-31713824

“Iran has rejected as “excessive and illogical” a demand by US President Barack Obama that it freeze sensitive nuclear activity for at least 10 years.

Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif was quoted saying Mr Obama spoke in “unacceptable and threatening” terms.

Mr Zarif said talks on Iran’s nuclear programme, which are nearing a critical 31 March deadline, would continue….”

  5. Just quickly popping in. Real life is very intrusive atm into my “online” life, and I hardly spent any time at the laptop these past (and coming days). I was aware of the Bibi speech though and wanted to hear it – and where does one go to if one wants REAL news fast?

    To VLAD TEPES !!!!!!!!!!!

And BINGO, yes here ^^^ it is.

Ironically, even Australian News (where I am atm) I often get them here faster than locally, especially about that “religion of pieces” which has nothing to do with islam.

So, once again, Thank You Vlad Tepes. (back in a few days).

    • Hey, Rita!
I’m still coming down from all the commotion. Kinda wrung-out, gotta take it a little easy for a few days.

There are many long, tangled threads to investigate here at Vlad. More intellect than passion, I can read quietly and try to understand. Amazing things, some going back years, springing up refreshed.

Have you learned to wave all ten toes, Rita.?
