Australia takes a stab at the obvious while the UK selectively enforces against their own laws: Links 1 on Feb. 23 – 2015

1. The response to islamic terrorism and imposed sharia fascism is a government mandated technically operated totalitarianism, not limited to fighting against islamic ideological war. all this to preserve the illusion that islam is not the problem.

2. Two interesting links about Australia and Islamic terror.

2a. The government has decided to begin applying rational solutions to a problem with obvious answers. Something tells me that they will experience a lot of negative pressure from the US, the EU and UN.

2b. A dozen calls were made to a terrorism hotline about the fellow who took the hostages at the Lindt store in Oz.

3. World Health Organization warns people to avoid camel urine due to zoonotic threat of MERS.

(Something tells me anyone who drinks camel urine would not accept the suggestion of the WHO as authoritative)

4. Gateshead TA cadet-beheading threats: Man given suspended jail sentence

A man who threatened to “chop the heads off” two female cadets on Tyneside has been given a suspended jail sentence.

The incident happened at about 21:25 GMT on 21 January when the teenage girls left the TA centre in Gateshead.

Gateshead magistrates heard how driver Marius Dura lent across his passenger and said: “Are yous in the Army because we will chop your heads off.”

Dura, 26, admitted threatening behaviour and received a six-week jail term suspended for a year.

The second man, who was in the Opel Zafira car with Dura during the incident, has yet to be traced

(This person got 56 days in jail though And this person This guy got 16 months in jail. Anyone think a rule can be derived from this?)

(I am posting this excerpt of a scene from Hamlet for no particular reason)

5. ISIS vow to take over Rome and ‘throw homosexuals off of your leaning tower of PIZZA’

Earlier this year, images emerged that appeared to show militants hurling one man off a building in the town of Tal Abyad in Raqqa as supposed punishment for having a ‘homosexual affair’.

This most recent threat appears to indicate the terrorists intend to bring their barbaric practices to Europe – and plan to repeat the horrific scenes off the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

It appears the tweeter is unaware the tower is in Pisa, not Rome.

The hashtag #We_Are_Coming_O_Rome has been used by Islamic State supporters to discuss plans to reach Rome after the city was mentioned in a sickening video released earlier this week.

  1. Nuclear-Themed Domino Show in Iran Culminates with Missile Destroying Israeli Flag

    http://youtu.be/6z75PwWWNtI

A domino show held in the city of Gonabad, in the Razavi Korasan Province of Iran on February 16 focused on Iran’s nuclear project. During the show, domino structures depicting obstacles to the progress of Iran’s nuclear project – such as the assassination of scientists, sanctions, the Stuxnet virus, and various phases in the negotiations – were collapsed and were replaced by messages affirming Iran’s nuclear achievements. The show featured US-related models, such as the word “CIA,” the RQ-170 drone, and the US flag, some of which were collapsed. In addition, the word “ISIS” was set ablaze. The show ended with a missile destroying a domino structure of an Israeli flag. A short video and many images were posted on various Iranian websites.

  2. 2/ “In his speech, the prime minister said that a new security tsar would be appointed soon.”
We did that. But for some reason it hasn’t proven effective…

  3. The fact this was dealt with in a magistrates courts who usually deal with minor offences and not crown court means neither the police or judiciary regard this as a serious offence.Magistrates courts hear such cases as shop theft (shoplifting) and minor traffic offences.

  4. Are most people in Congress clear on what we’re negotiating about with Iran?

That we’re no longer negotiating nuclear CAPABILITY.
Too late, that happened. Remember? First this good Islamic citizen wanted medical technology, clean energy [ho-ho!]. Nothing to do with weapons, uh-uh.

Meanwhile, she’s speeding ahead with bomb-related development – ballistic missiles and everything else. Of course nobody even tried to constrain these endeavors. Or bothered looking at the North Korea connection.

So, to be clear. Bearing in mind that timetables are notoriously unreliable, we are now negotiating break-out times for nuclear WEAPONS.

  5. 2b/ ‘…he fell well outside the threshold to be included in the 400 highest priority counter-terrorism investigations’

Makes you wonder what a terrorist has to do to make the cut. Also whether it might be more cost-effective not to import so many thousands of terrorists in the first place.

  6. TORONTO – Mystery tunnel found near Pan Am Games venue

National security officials have been notified that an underground tunnel was discovered near a venue for this summer’s Pan Am Games in Toronto, CBC News has learned.

The tunnel was dug in the woods near Toronto’s Rexall Centre and York University’s Keele campus. It was large enough for a person to stand in, at around 2½ metres in height, and was about seven metres long. The tunnel had lights inside, powered by a generator, and the walls and ceiling were reinforced.

Police investigating after tunnel found near Pan Am Games site

Toronto police are expected to release more information Tuesday about the bizarre discovery last month of an underground tunnel located in a wooded area south of York University.

It was sophisticated, outfitted with lights powered by a generator.

It was large, its reinforced ceilings tall enough for a person to comfortably stand.

It was dug near the Rexall Centre — the future tennis venue for Toronto’s Pan Am and Parapan Am Games this summer.

And it is not known why a mysterious, bunker-like tunnel was there at all.

Toronto police are expected to release more information Tuesday about the strange discovery last month of an underground tunnel located in a wooded area south of York University.

Monday night Toronto police confirmed the finding was made by a Toronto and Region Conservation Authority employee, who happened upon the tunnel while walking near the TRCA headquarters and York’s Keele campus.

The Star has learned that Canadian security officials have been informed of the discovery. Toronto police have scheduled a news conference Tuesday morning with Deputy Chief Mark Saunders, who heads the force’s Specialized Operations Command unit.

Two possibilities police are probing include that the tunnel may have been used to bypass Pan Am Games security, or to store explosive materials.
