The pair punched him multiple times, robbing his backpack, ID and bank cards before “brazenly” dragging him past shocked members of the public to a cash point.
When the victim could not withdraw any money, the assailants resumed their savage attack.
The two men – described by police as Mediterranean in appearance and aged between 20 and 22 with dark hair – then took him to a nearby park where they beat him with a metal pole before making him perform sex acts on them while they filmed.

Qatar recalls envoy to Egypt in row over Libya strikes (BBC, Feb 19, 2015)
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-31532665
“Qatar has recalled its ambassador from Egypt following a row about air strikes on Islamic State targets in Libya.
Foreign ministry officials said it was prompted by comments made by Egypt’s delegate to the Arab League, who accused Qatar of supporting terrorism.
Qatar had expressed reservations over Egypt’s unilateral military action in another Arab League member state and the risk of civilian casualties.
Relations between Doha and Cairo have been strained in recent years.
The Qatari government backed President Mohammed Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood before his overthrow by the Egyptian military in 2013.
The Qatari-owned TV network, Al Jazeera, has also been a major source of tension, with the Egyptian authorities accusing it of serving as a mouthpiece for Mr Morsi’s supporters and prosecuting its journalists.
The Egyptian air force bombed Islamic State bases in Libya on Monday in retaliation for the beheading of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians.
After a meeting in Cairo on Wednesday, the Arab League issued a statement stressing its “complete understanding” about the air strikes and supporting Egypt’s call for the lifting of the UN arms embargo on the supply of weapons to the Libyan armed forces.
But Qatar’s expression of reservations about the statement was criticised.
“According to our reading in Egypt to this Qatari reservation, it became clear that Qatar has revealed its position that supports terrorism,” the Egyptian permanent representative to the Arab League, Tareq Adel, was quoted as saying by the Egyptian state news agency, Mena.
In a statement published by the official QNA news agency on Thursday, Qatari foreign ministry official Saad bin Ali al-Muhannadi denounced Mr Adel’s statement, saying it was “against righteousness, wisdom and principles of joint Arab action”.
He said the emirate’s delegate to the Arab League had merely pointed out that Egypt should have consulted its neighbours before “launching a unilateral military action in another member state, a matter which might lead to harming civilians”.
Mr Muhannadi said Qatar was also against the strengthening of one party in the conflict in Libya before the conclusion of UN-backed peace talks and the formation of a national unity government.
The Gulf Co-operation Council also voiced support for Qatar, saying it rejected “accusations by Egypt’s permanent envoy at the Arab League”.
Secretary General Abdul Latif al-Zayani said they were “unfounded, contradict reality, and ignore the sincere efforts by Qatar, as well as the Gulf Co-operation Council and Arab states, in combating terrorism and extremism at all levels”.”
Iraq-Kurdish force of 25,000 ‘to retake Mosul from IS’ (BBC, Feb 19, 2015)
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-31543415
“A joint Iraqi-Kurdish military force of up to 25,000 fighters is being prepared to retake the Iraqi city of Mosul from Islamic State (IS), a US official says.
The senior military official has said that the operation to recapture the northern city would probably take place in April or May.
Iraq’s second largest city was currently being held by 1,000 to 2,000 IS militants, the official added.
Mosul, which was home to more than a million people, fell to IS last June.
The unnamed official told reporters that no decision had been made on whether a small group of US military advisers would be needed on the ground to direct air support.
The official said all of the fighters in the force would have gone through training by the US.
The official added that the operation would be needed by May, otherwise it would be compromised by the summer heat, although he added that it could be delayed if the Iraqi forces were not ready….”
That’s a good piece of news. However, many in Mosul are ISIS friendly. There’s no way to weed them out. I’ve noticed how most of them have this underlying streak of wickedness about them.
Turkey favours China missile deal for air defence (BBC, Feb 19, 2015)
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-31537334
“Turkey appears ready to buy a long-range Chinese surface-to-air missile system despite its incompatibility with Nato equipment.
Turkey is a key Nato member, and reports say US and French arms firms have been vying with China’s CPMIEC.
The $3.4bn (£2.2bn) Chinese system would be used “without integrating with Nato systems”, Turkish Defence Minister Ismet Yilmaz said.
Reports say Nato and the US have urged Turkey not to accept the Chinese offer.
According to a Turkish defence industry official, Ankara has not yet taken a final decision on its planned long-range missile defence system and contract talks with China are continuing, Reuters news agency reports.
He was speaking after the comments from Mr Yilmaz, who was responding to MPs’ questions about Turkey’s missile defence project.
Mr Yilmaz said Turkey had finished the evaluation process for the project.
The Russian news website Lenta.ru reports that Turkey plans to buy at least 12 Chinese HQ-9 missile batteries. The Chinese system is cheaper than rival systems, it reports.
The other contenders for the contract, Lenta.ru reports, were: the Patriot made by Raytheon and Lockheed Martin in the US, the SAMP/T made by the French-Italian consortium Eurosam, and Russia’s Antey-2500 made by Rosoboronexport.”
Looks like the Turk opted out of NATO a long time ago.
With the destruction of the US military Turkey sees no future in sucking up to Europe and NATO.
Two men ‘Mediterranean in appearance.’ Hmm. Greeks? Italians?
As long as they make sure that the enemy is properly warned in advance. I’m surprised they haven’t come out and stated their pre-determined “exit strategy”. I thought it was customary for the Americans to notify the enemy as to when they’re pulling out so they can get a nice clear fix on their victory date, like they did with Afghanistan…
We only do that when a Dem is in the Oval Office.
“Detective Constable Monir Nainia, from the Met’s specialist sexual offences team, said: “This was a particularly violent attack, with the suspects brazenly ignoring residents and passers-by in what would have been a busy location.
“Thankfully incidents of this nature are extremely rare and we are conducting numerous inquiries to trace the suspects. Extra patrols have been put in place in the area to provide reassurance.””
When the details get to a Detective specialising on Black Sensitivity Crime, the one on Hate Crime, then over to a Muslim Imam Police Representative who will say, “These aint no homos!”

They will provide assurance, but not protection. Damn them to hell.

UK police raise alert over missing teen girls who may be headed to Syria (CNN, Feb
20, 2015)
http://edition.cnn.com/2015/02/20/europe/uk-syria-missing-girls/index.html
“UK police appealed for help Friday to find three teenage girls who are missing from their homes in London and are believed to be making their way to Syria. The girls, two of them 15 and one 16, have not been seen since Tuesday, when, police say, they took a flight to Istanbul.
One has been named as Shamima Begum, 15, who may be traveling under the name of 17-year-old Aklima Begum, and a second as Kadiza Sultana, 16. The third girl has not been named at the request of her family, police said.
Richard Walton, of Counter Terrorism Command, said: “We are extremely concerned for the safety of these young girls and would urge anyone with information to come forward and speak to police. Our priority is the safe return of these girls to their families.
“We are reaching out to the girls using the Turkish media and social media in the hope that Shamima, Kadiza and their friend hear our messages, hear our concerns for their safety and have the courage to return now, back to their families who are so worried about them.”
UK police are concerned about the number of girls and young women trying to head to areas of Syria controlled by ISIS, Walton said….”

How Egypt sees the IS threat in Libya
Egypt will have extensive support in the West for its actions against the Islamic State in Libya this week, in response to the killing of Egyptian Christians there.
Its wider policies towards Libya are more controversial, however.

Egyptian President Sisi Calls for Reform of Islam
=>The implementation of jihadist ideology today has unleashed fierce military and terrorist assaults against most Arab regimes; the application of the most severe interpretations of Islamic penal law; expressions of despicable cruelty on the battlefield against Shi’a combatants in Syria and Iraq; ethnic cleansing; and persecution of Christian populations.
=>Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi confronted the issue of jihadism in an address to Islamic scholars at Al-Azhar University on January 1, 2015.
=>Sisi: “Is it possible that 1.6 billion people [Muslims] should want to kill the rest of the world’s inhabitants – that is 7 billion – so that they themselves may live?
Impossible!”
=>“We are in need of a religious revolution. You, imams, are responsible before Allah. The entire world is waiting for your next move.”
=>Yet true reform requires scholars of Islam, not “strong” politicians. Islam is in need of innovators who can cope with the reality of the 21st century and repudiate its misinterpretation carried out by jihadi Islam. Sisi is not likely to be that reformer.

We need a free and independent Israel as much as we need a free and independent Europe.

Has a ring to it, doesn’t it?
Yup even though I don’t like grits, my family never could understand that.
As long as they know guns.
Between me and my first and second cousins we could outfit an infantry platoon with rifles. We are a family of gun nuts, hunters and collectors, with most of us being crack shots.
I’m fond of swords and knives.
And I’m also fond of armed crack-shooters.
