1. Using troops and planes, 3 African nations battle Boko Haram

MAIDUGURI, Nigeria (AP) — Three militaries, using ground troops and warplanes, fought Boko Haram on at least two fronts Wednesday with hundreds of the Islamic fighters reported dead as the conflict took on a growing international perspective.

Chad’s army said its troops were attacked Tuesday in Cameroon by Boko Haram, the Nigerian extremist group that has slaughtered and kidnapped civilians and has had the upper hand against Nigeria’s military. The Chadian troops’ response underscores other African nation’s newfound resoluteness to combat what they perceive as a regional threat.

2, Boko Haram kills dozens in rampage after Chad offensive

Fotokol (Cameroon) (AFP) – Nigerian Boko Haram fighters went on the rampage in the Cameroonian border town of Fotokol Wednesday, massacring dozens of civilians and torching a mosque before being repelled by regional forces.

The onslaught came a day after Chad sent troops across the border to flush the jihadists out of the Nigerian town of Gamboru, which lies some 500 metres (yards) from Fotokol on the other side of a bridge.

3. At U.C. Davis, Students for Justice in Palestine chant “Allahu Akbar,” endorse terrorism

Anti-Israel activists at the University of California, Davis heckled Jewish students and shouted “Allahhu Akbar” at them during a vote last week on a resolution endorsing a boycott of the Jewish state, according to video of the event obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

The commotion erupted late Thursday evening as pro-Israel students attempted to counter a student government resolution to divest from Israel as part of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement.

Activists waving Palestinian flags shouted at the Jewish and pro-Israel students as they left the meeting room ahead of an eight to two vote in favor of the divestment resolution, which is part of a larger movement by anti-Israel groups to attack Israel and pro-Israel students on campus.

5. Moussaoui claims Saudi royals ‘funded 9/11 attacks’

Al-Qaeda plotter Zacarias Moussaoui has claimed members of the Saudi royal family helped fund the 9/11 attacks.

Moussaoui, imprisoned in Colorado for his role in the attacks, gave testimony in October to lawyers for 9/11 victims suing the country.

His statement came to light when it was filed in court this week in response to a Saudi bid to drop the lawsuit.

Saudi Arabia has rejected the accusation from a “deranged criminal” with no credibility.

They have made several attempts for the lawsuit to be dropped.

In a rare interview for an inmate at a high security “supermax” prison, Moussaoui said “extremely famous” Saudi officials, including Prince Turki al-Faisal Al Saud, a former Saudi intelligence chief, were funding al-Qaeda from the late 1990s.

6. Islamic State: Jordan’s King Abdullah vows ‘severe response’ to IS

(Video at site)

Jordan’s King Abdullah II has promised to fight back hard against Islamic State, saying that the death of a Jordanian pilot at the militants’ hands will not be in vain.

The remarks were made as the king held a crisis meeting with security chiefs.

He cut short a US trip after IS posted a video showing pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh being burned alive.

Jordan executed two convicts, including failed female suicide bomber Sajida al-Rishawi, in response.

    • If ISIS didn’t position its headquarters among the civilians the civilians wouldn’t bet hurt.

  1. #5 Not so long ago, a small number of congressmen were allowed access to a redacted report about 9/11, which one or two of them indicated publicly made incredible accusations.

Are these possibly the accusations they are talking about?

  2. @5 – The Saudi Royal Family has several thousand members, it would be surprising if some to them weren’t funding the terrorists, what is scary is when the high ranking members of the family that are high ranking members of the Saudi Family funds them.
