      • A couple of names were new to me in that one – Willi Munzenberg, Karl Radek – I’d read about Felix Dzerzhinsky, founder of the Cheka, but never in the context of the Frankfurt School. And it was interesting to see a direct connection to Lenin, who was dead a couple of years after that first meeting (and Dzerzhinsky a couple of years after that). I’m always aware I’m just scratching the surface of these things.

        The wiki on Munzenberg says he may have had a role in recruiting Kim Philby.

    This chart is somewhat misleading but it does show the movement in the national debts, for the most part the debt has been increasing, and it shows the major industrial nations deeply in debt. Another financial crisis is almost a given.
