  1. New allegations of Saudi involvement in 9/11 (CNN, Feb 4, 2015)
    http://edition.cnn.com/2015/02/03/politics/9-11-attacks-saudi-arabia-involvement/index.html

“New allegations have emerged from the man described as the 20th 9/11 hijacker, alleging members of the Saudi royal family supported al Qaeda.

Zacaria Moussaoui, who pleaded guilty in 2005 to six terror-related charges, makes the allegations in a sworn statement contained in a brief submitted on Tuesday as part of an ongoing civil case by the families of 9/11 victims.

In the late-’90s, Moussaoui claims, he was tasked by Osama bin Laden to create a digital database cataloguing al Qaeda’s donors. Every day for two or three months, he claims, he entered names of the group’s donors into a Toshiba computer along with how much they gave.

Moussaoui, who has been in U.S. custody for more than 13 years, said the list featured high-profile individuals, including several members of the Saudi Royal family, who he named in his testimony.

They include Prince Turki al-Faisal Al Saud, former director-general of Saudi Arabia’s foreign intelligence service and Ambassador to the United States.

Moussaoui, a French national, said he was chosen for the database job because of his education and ability to speak English….”

    • That’s the one the FBI had under arrest for ‘visa irregularities’ for three weeks leading up to 9/11 and headquarters wouldn’t let field agents do anything about.

Sept. 11 2001 – MOUSSAOUI is seen cheering as he watches television pictures of the destruction from his secure unit. Shortly afterwards the FBI connects him with the attacks via BINALSHIBH. Finally, the FBI gets around to searching MOUSSAOUI’s computer, and find that it contains information about “dispersal of chemicals” as well as about crop-duster planes.

  2. Dead prosecutor sought arrest of Argentina’s President, investigator says (CNN, Feb 4, 2015)
    http://edition.cnn.com/2015/02/03/americas/argentine-prosecutor-alberto-nisman-death/index.html

“The Argentine prosecutor who was found dead after accusing the government of a cover-up had drafted an affidavit seeking the arrest of President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, the lead investigator in the case said Tuesday.

The untimely death of Alberto Nisman — a special prosecutor investigating a 1994 terrorist attack in Buenos Aires — raised suspicions from the start.

The revelation that Nisman had not just accused Fernandez of covering up Iran’s role in the bombing, but sought an arrest warrant for her, is likely to fan the flames of the conspiracy theories that have abounded since his death….”

  3. FBI official: ISIS is recruiting U.S. teens (CNN, Feb 4, 2015)
    http://edition.cnn.com/2015/02/03/politics/fbi-isis-counterterrorism-michael-steinbach/index.html

“For the head of the FBI’s counterterrorist division, Michael Steinbach, the unknown worries him the most.

Steinbach is leading the daunting effort to stay on top of the evolving threat landscape, which includes targeting and recruiting teenage Americans. In an exclusive interview with CNN inside the agency’s Strategic Information and Operations Center, he acknowledged it’s extremely difficult to track every American who might travel abroad to join terrorist groups like the Islamic State.

“I’m worried about individuals that we don’t know about that have training,” Steinbach said. “We know what we know. But there is a number that’s greater than that that we don’t know.”

Steinbach says U.S. law enforcement and intelligence agencies don’t track individuals leaving the United States to vacation in Europe.

“Once you get to Europe, you can easily get down to Turkey and into Syria” Steinbach says.

There’s growing concern about homegrown violent extremism in the aftermath of last month’s terror attacks in Paris. Those strikes underscored the threat posed to the West by small groups of terrorists with western passports who are influenced by the rhetoric espoused by ISIS. Steinbach is concerned that type of attack could happen on U.S. soil….”

  7. ‘Violent international jihadist movement.’ ‘Jihadi terrorism.’ ‘Jihadism.’ Not bad, Prime Minister Harper. In fact that almost qualifies as ‘slandering the prophet of Islam.’ Can’t be winning approval from the White House.
