Attacks and arguments. First set of links for Jan. 27 – 2015

1. Sam Harris on the Charlie Hebdo attack (Audio)

Sam Harris meets my working definition of genius. That is, ‘an ambassador to the obvious’. However I have a few minor differences with him in his analysis here.

“The Muslim world”, he says, “simply has to get used to free speech winning”. Not gonna happen. We have to pound them into submission as we have every time in history when Islam has intersected with any other group. That has proven to be the only way that we can preserve our public trust and ability to offer ideas that are not in full agreement with the religion and politics of the day. The rest of it is excellent however.

2. inks and nibya gunmen attack Corinthia Hotel in Tripoli

Militants have attacked a hotel popular with foreigners in Libya’s capital, killing at least three people and injuring 12 others, officials say.

Several gunmen stormed the Corinthia Hotel in Tripoli and opened fire in the reception area. A car bomb also exploded outside the hotel. Unconfirmed reports say some of the assailants have blown themselves up and that foreigners are among the dead.

3. Obama administration intervened in Argentine probe of Iranian leader, Jewish center bombing

(I waited a day or two after I initially got this to check the source. I feel its so important that its best not to float this one till there is some indication its not made up out of whole cloth. Fausta’ a great blog about the jihad in Latin America, had said this a week or two ago or more, and the person who runs the site linked above I am assured is very good)

This video from Jan. 23rd is very interesting.

4. North Korea accuses Israel of being ‘dictatorial force for aggression’

North Korea this past weekend accused Israel of “representing dictatorial forces for aggression that trample down the legitimate right of the Palestinian people.”

Pyongyang responded angrily to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s remark to the visiting Japanese premier last week in which the Israeli leader said that both Jerusalem and Tokyo face “formidable threats from nearby rogue states” – Israel from Iran and Japan from North Korea.

Iran, Netanyahu said, “cannot be allowed to travel the road taken by North Korea,” a path, which he said led to an agreement with Pyongyang in 1994 that “was widely celebrated as a historic breakthrough for nonproliferation, but in the end, that deal failed to prevent the dangerous proliferation that threatens all of east Asia today.”

5. Put this link into google translate for your daily dose of outrage.

6. Lets end on a happy note. Oz-Rita translated this great little song from France. Clearly this kind of humour dos not lend itself to translation but you will get the idea.

At LiveLeak there is a comment which corrects one moment of translation:

at 00:21 however. The translator translated “trous de balles” as bullet holes (which is technically correct) – but in this context it means “assholes”.

Thank you Richard, M., Draculea, Don C., ML., and many more.

      • Gen Keane: Obama Allowed al Qaeda to Grow Fourfold in 5 Years

Tuesday at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing, former vice chief of staff of the Army, Gen. Jack Keane, said President Barack Obama’s “policies have failed” which has allowed al-Qaeda to “grow fourfold in the last five years.”

Keane said, “As you can see on the map, al Qaeda and its affiliates exceeds Iran and is beginning to dominate multiple countries. In fact, al-Qaeda has grown fourfold in the last five years. Third, the Islamic State of Iraq, ISIS, is an outgrowth from al-Qaeda in Iraq which was defeated in Iraq by 2009. After U.S. troops pulled out of Iraq in 2011, ISIS emerged as a terrorist organization in Iraq, moved into Syria in 2012.”

“Is it possible to look at that map in front of you and claim that the United States policy and strategy is working? Or that al-Qaeda is on the run? It is unmistakable that our policies have failed,” he added.

        • Dem spokesman: Hillary Clinton agrees to testify to House’s Benghazi panel

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has agreed to testify to the House’s select committee investigating Benghazi, the group’s Democratic spokesman told CNN on Tuesday.

Paul Bell says that Clinton agreed to testify before the committee investigating the 2012 terrorist attack in December after being contacted months earlier by Rep. Elijah Cummings, the committee’s ranking Democrat.

“Mr. Cummings has worked to facilitate reaching out to Sec. Clinton,” Bell wrote in an email.

A spokesman for Clinton has not yet responded to a request for comment.

Rep. Trey Gowdy, the chairman of the Benghazi committee, told reporters on Tuesday that he still intends to have Clinton testify as part of the investigation.

“Every witness who has relevant information needs to be talked to,” he said.

According to a Democratic committee source, Gowdy asked Cummings to contact Clinton in September.

“As a courtesy, Ranking Member Cummings reached out to Secretary Clinton who responded that she was willing and able to testify in a public hearing — as early as December 2014 — to answer any remaining questions,” says the source.

Cummings told a reporter from The Hill on Tuesday that Clinton said, “I’ll do it, period.”

  3. 10,000 Palestinian teens graduate Hamas terror camp

Haniyeh attends graduation ceremony for Gazan group’s youngest members, who have been trained to use sniper rifles and simulated tunnel infiltrations to Israel.

While their senior counterparts have been testing new homemade rockets and rebuilding the terror tunnel infrastructure, more than 10,000 teenagers arrived at an Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades training compound.

Under the guise of a program named “Pioneers of the Resistance,” the Palestinian youths – aged 15 to 21 – underwent intensive military training, including exercises simulating operations of Hamas naval commandos.

    • That’s what Daniel Greenfield was getting at in:
Why We Need to Talk About Muslim Anti-Semitism
The left has become so mired in a post-colonial worldview that it refuses to understand that the struggle is not between Western European colonialism and a post-colonial Third World, but between different eras of colonialism. Arab Islamic domination is not post-colonial; it’s a colonialism that predates it.
When Western leftists make common cause with Arab and Islamic nationalists, they aren’t being post-colonial, they’re advocating an earlier form of colonialism that led and is once again leading to ethnic cleansing, genocide, mass slavery and the destruction of indigenous cultures; including that of the Jews.

      • That is exactly what is happening, the Moslems are attempting to conquer the world to impose Islam on everyone, the left may or may not understand this but are willing to use the Moslems in their attempt to destroy the west. The useful idiots refuse to understand this because it would mean that their heroes have lied to them.

        • Would be nice if they quenched their thirst for blood on the Left first…
          —–
Second thought, just let the vampires go thirsty, just GO AWAY.
We’ll manage our own rotten leftists. Like parents of bratty children, we bear some of the responsibility for the left; they went looney on our watch.

  4. 3/ Plan A was to trash every alliance in the region and establish the Muslim Brotherhood in North Africa, and then in the Gulf and the Levant, a Pax Ikhwana, through the agency of Obama’s unprecedented blend of racial and religious heritage and his irresistible charisma. This was frustrated principally by the Egyptian people and military whom Obama has never forgiven.

Now this is Plan B? To subjugate or finally annihilate every regional ally by enabling regional dominance of a nuked-up Iran, a Pax Iranica. To be achieved via Obama’s unprecedented racial and religious etc, to be his legacy. Nothing can be allowed to get in the way of this, certainly not an inconvenient prosecution in Argentina.

Deeply flawed thinking might somehow account for Plan A, but Plan B is hard to explain except as a product of actual psychosis.

  5. 5/ Keep mixing the savagery of Muslim men with the foolishness of teenage girls, and as well as in Turkish homes, honor killings of pregnant women will be “as common as in German households the egg.”
