1. Iranian on bridging visa Amir Mohebbifar sentenced to six years jail for aggravated sex assault of 19-year-old on Anzac Bridge

AN IRANIAN immigrant sentenced to eight years’ jail for raping a teenage girl said in his home country western women were “portrayed as whores”, a court heard yesterday.

Amir Mohebbifar, 27, pleaded guilty to the aggravated sexual assault of the 19-year-old woman in an brutal early morning attack on Sydney’s Anzac Bridge on January 16 last year.

(Oh! Oh OK I guess its OK then. Multiculti and all that. Carry on!)

2. The President’s Address of Lies

Turning the page on last year’s grandiose and dishonest claims is what Obama does with each new address. Each year terrorism has been permanently defeated and the economy has recovered; Al Qaeda is on the run, unemployed dentists from Poughkeepsie are learning to install solar panels and illegal aliens from Los Angeles are teaching sex ed to kindergarteners.

And then next year he comes out to announce once again that the country has recovered from the crisis that he had already announced that it had recovered from last year.

And everyone applauds.

3. US Military Ready If Needed to Evacuate US Embassy in Yemen

With the worsening security situation in Yemen’s capital of Sanaa, the U.S. military has moved two Navy amphibious ships into the Red Sea to assist with any potential evacuation of U.S. embassy personnel should the State Department order its personnel to leave the country, Pentagon officials said today.

The U.S. embassy there remains open as of now.

A State Department spokesperson told ABC News that officials are “continuing to closely monitor developments in Yemen and will adjust the embassy’s security posture response in accordance to the situation on the ground.”

4. Douglass Murray: ‘Religion of peace’ is not a harmless platitude
An activist of Pakistani Islamic party J

The West’s movement towards the truth is remarkably slow. We drag ourselves towards it painfully, inch by inch, after each bloody Islamist assault.

In France, Britain, Germany, America and nearly every other country in the world it remains government policy to say that any and all attacks carried out in the name of Mohammed have ‘nothing to do with Islam’. It was said by George W. Bush after 9/11, Tony Blair after 7/7 and Tony Abbott after the Sydney attack last month. It is what David Cameron said after two British extremists cut off the head of Drummer Lee Rigby in London, when ‘Jihadi John’ cut off the head of aid worker Alan Henning in the ‘Islamic State’ and when Islamic extremists attacked a Kenyan mall, separated the Muslims from the Christians and shot the latter in the head. And, of course, it is what President François Hollande said after the massacre of journalists and Jews in Paris last week.

All these leaders are wrong. In private, they and their senior advisers often concede that they are telling a lie. The most sympathetic explanation is that they are telling a ‘noble lie’, provoked by a fear that we — the general public — are a lynch mob in waiting.

5. Back in the 1990s a team of Finnish comedians had a far far better grip on what Islam was all about than any of the leaders of the Western world does today.

6. Iran Has A Lot To Gain From The Death Of A Crusading Argentine Prosecutor

Nisman was scheduled to testify to a parliamentary committee the next day and was expected to accuse the government of president Cristina Fernandez Kirchner of swapping increased trade with Iran for a promise not to prosecute the Iranian officials who plotted the attack.

Nisman’s assassination is tentatively being considered as a suicide, with the jurist felled by a single bullet wound to the head and clutching the gun that killed him. But there are indications that it may have been something much more sinister.

Thank you M., Dan F. Don C., Yucki, Tundra T., Shabnam, and all who sent in material and there really is quite a bit. Shortly, bits of a press conference given by an alliance of people who met in paris to stage a march against terrorism which was banned by France will be uploaded. The first one should be ready in minutes.

  1. 4/ In the course of telling us why politicians are making a mistake selling us this platitude, there are a few platitudes Douglas Murray feels obliged to retail himself.

Because the violence of the Islamists is, truthfully, only to do with Islam: the worst version of Islam, certainly, but Islam nonetheless.

What are these better ‘versions’ of Islam? Where are the improved Koran and Sunnah they draw inspiration from? There are no better versions. A better version of Islam is merely one that chooses to ignore vast swathes of the Koran and Sunnah. For the time being.

Islam is not a peaceful religion. No religion is, but Islam is especially not.

How are Christianity and Buddhism, Buddhism considered as a religion, not peaceful? The New Testament is so peaceful it’s a marvel it was any use at all in the Crusades. I understand that theologians pressed Luke 3:14 into service, John telling some soldiers to be content with their pay.

Tibetan Buddhism is even more radical in its pacifism. One exercise is to imagine that at some point in the endless cycle of death and rebirth, you have been everyone’s mother and everyone has been your mother. If your compassion excludes anyone, you have broken your vow. This is one reason the Dalai Lama so often sounds like an idiot.

It is certainly not, as some ill-informed people say, solely a religion of war. There are many peaceful verses in the Quran which — luckily for us — most Muslims live by.

If there is anything in the Koran resembling the Ten Commandments or the Sermon on the Mount, I haven’t found it. ‘Peace’ itself has a proprietary definition in Islam, of course, all key terms do, so that many verses that look ‘peaceful’ to the unwary are anything but. The handful of verses that might be construed as actually promoting actual peace between Muslims and kafirs are abrogated by contradictory verses anyhow.

I have not noticed that Muslims who are not violent (for the moment) ‘live by’ particular Koran verses. Muslims never quote Koran verses at me unless as taqiyya in the course of arguments about the nature of Islam. Famously, non-Arabic-speaking Muslims will memorize the entire Koran without understanding more than a handful of words in it.

My impression is that Muslims ‘live by’ fantasies about Mohammed, things Mohammed is reputed to have done or said, and things they are told by their imams. If they have a question about what to do in a particular situation, they google up a ruling in Islamic law. If most Muslims lived by authentically peaceful Koranic teachings, General El-Sisi would have had no call to give the talk he gave at Al-Azhar at the end of last year.

  2. 1/ As a disbeliever, the young kafir woman was ‘the worst of moving (living) creatures’ (Koran 8:55) so there was little reason to treat her with anything other than the vilest contempt. Life lived by Koranic teachings.

  3. #2 With Obama you have to look at the results of his actions rather then listen to his speeches, his actions show a clear pattern of working to destroy the economy of the west and to destroy the US military.
