  1. China bans wearing burqa in biggest Muslim city (CNN, Jan 14, 2015)

“Beijing (CNN)Legislators in China’s far-western Xinjiang province have passed a law to prohibit residents from wearing burqas in public, state media reported, in a continued campaign against what authorities view as religious extremism. The new ban in Urumqi was approved by local legislators last month, and given the greenlight by the regional legislature at the weekend.

The ordinance name suggests it targets outer garments covering someone’s full body including the face, which is called a burqa in some Islamic traditions.

A spate of recent violent incidents has rocked Xinjiang, a resource-rich region long inhabited by the Turkic-speaking, largely Muslim Uyghurs. The arrival of waves of Han Chinese, the country’s predominant ethnic group, over the past decades has fueled ethnic tensions…”

If this is happening in China, why shouldnt something similar be happening in Europe? Indeed; the “cultural enrichment” hypothesis as it is currently being pushed by the radical left, doesnt have much to stand on.

On the “clash of civilizations” hypothesis, if we even can talk about civilizations (i.e. in the plural, instead of in the singular), we should expect more than just some tensions. The civilized against the barbarians… Seems to fit the observables much better.

  2. Geert must be so tired of the awful treadmill he’s been on for so many years. Under constant threat of death from the Muslims while being subject to endless persecution at the hands of his leftist countrymen. To this day, not one major news outlet in the world will say his name without adding the “far right” label, which is leftist code for “just like Adolf Hitler”. Geert Wilders is a real-life hero. He has given up his enjoyment of life for the safety of his countrymen and the freedom of people the world over. Thank you Geert Wilders, my good, good friend…

      • When we were talking about the Kipling poems about how vets and the military are treated remember me saying that the attitudes of the civilians and the military haven’t changed since then? Well the way the Peace and any price crowd reacts to honest politicians telling the truth about our enemies hasn’t changed since WWII and probably not since the 18th or 19th centuries.

    • I agree as I have said previously the way they are treating him reminds me of the stories about how Churchill was treated prior to WWII.

  3. Geert is a lion of a man,of great moral fortitude and a beacon of how we should behave toward one another. What a world it would be with more like Geert.God give you the strength to persevere and keep you safe.

  4. After this speech, the leaders of the other parties in parliament all took their turns at trying to demonize Wilders for his views on islam.
He completely wiped the floor with all of them. He was articulate, righteous and angry , they didn’t stand a chance.
Hold on Geert. You’re on the right side of history.
The (real) Dutch people know this and we stand by you.
